Mr. Rajavi has had a good picture in the mirror of the society. He definitely has been a charismatic personality for his followers who have not simply diagnosed his psychotic desease. I guess that so far no one has seriously and deeply investigated or analyzed Mr. Rajavi’s mental problem

I mean that the organizational control and cult-like practices exercised by the Rajavis, at Camp Liberty was worse than those applied at Camp Ashraf. MKO leaders knew that Liberty is not like Ashraf. It’s not an isolated, closed location with no access to the outside world so they enhanced the organizational control in Liberty to prevent defection and eventually the collapse of the cult.

American forces have previously been in TTL, they’ve left their equipments there and now the MKO aka MEK/PMOI is using them. About kitchen and preservation equipments, Camp Ashraf has never had such amenities.About living conditions, if the authorities housed the members according to what the UNHCR had assigned, the place would be the best.

Having Saddam’s government as his supporter, Rajavi gathered troops in Iraq and in neighboring Iran by forging travel documents and making fake passports with huge sums of money given by Saddam Hussein to help him overthrow Iran and make himself the full owner of Iran’s soil. For instance, I and my husband have been transferred to Iraq by a fake Iraqi passport..

through use of different techniques of mind manipulation I was forced to give them whatever they asked me; first any capital or material things we had; then any love, attachments or relation we had with our country, our family and friends in Iran; then when they asked all members to divorce their spouses, I lost love of my life, my dear wife and could not see my children for almost six years; I lost part of my health, and many times were on the edge of dying for them. ..

Before Ramadan I heard my mother’s voice via loudspeakers of families picketing in front of Ashraf gates. I got so happy, I felt like being awakened. I went to my commander and asked him to let me access a telephone to call my family in order that I would tell them not to come to Ashraf any more (this was my pretext to speak with my family). They said that they didn’t have any telephone for such a use. I said “Ok, I will go near the fence to speak to them ..

.. Persian Letters: Why do you think the MKO wants to keep people in Camp Ashraf? Why don't they let those who don't want to be there go? Shadvari: It's obvious. If people [leave Ashraf], the organization will fall apart, there won't be any Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization anymore. Persian Letters: Are you married? Shadvari: No. I was 15 when I joined the organization. Now I'm 40. Persian Letters: Why didn't you get married? Was it your choice? Shadvari: Getting married is banned in Camp Ashraf. Not only getting married, but talking to women is banned ...

At the time Iran and Iraq were fighting and the organization was involved in border clashes so it launched an extensive propaganda in Europe in order to recruit members. In the base where I was working a number of members applied for moving to Iraq. Impressed by the atmosphere, I asked for moving to Iraq,..After a few months of membership in MKO, family love was replaced by Rajavi in my heart. I entered Iraq in 1986. I was transferred to an MKO camp where I received military training... I attended Eternal Light Operation against my fellow country-men..

..The organization tells UNAMI that the members are afraid of their coming to Ashraf and in this way the commandants prevent UNAMI's access to rank and file members. I think that UNAMI officials should contact MKO's low-ranking member outside Camp Ashraf so the members feel comfortable to talk to them.
Once UNAMI had installed a station in Camp Ashraf, MKO/MEK/PMOI had also installed an inspection station in order to stop members going to UNAMI station. Today UNAMI has no office in Ashraf...

..To bar the members from runaway, they control all departures and arrivals to the complex at night. You cannot simply leave the building. On the other side, the commandants have some control systems to control members, especially low-ranking members. The control is particularly heightened in collective ceremonies. There are also some patrolling cars to control all trafficking in the camp. When the Iraqis are closer to the members, they increase guards to stop the members from joining Iraqi forces..
