Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin and national director Ariel Gold dropped in on MEK members in their Washington office, trying to meet with their officials.

Ali Safavi, a senior member of MEK, surprised by the unexpected visit, did not let them in the office, saying, “go to our website”. He went onto say that they were “not allowed to film this” or “I will call the police.”

https://dlb.nejatngo.org/Media/Interview/Safavi_CODEPINK.mp4

Benjamin said, “I think this organization is very secretive. This is the organization that John Bolton gets $ 180K from for speaking engagements.”

She added, “It’s the organization that Rudy Giuliani loves and says next year in Tehran. But they don’t even answer our e-mails and phone calls or agree to meet with us.”

“They don’t even give us a booklet explaining what their organization is about. So it’s very fishy. It doesn’t look like a legitimate group to me.”

CODEPINK Co-Founder Medea Benjamin and National Director Ariel Gold tried to meet with officials from the The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran office in D.C. As you can see, they were not receptive. Bolton wants to attack Iran & put these folks in power? It’s a repeat of the Iraqi National Congress debacle after the US invaded Iraq!
The US fact finding delegation visited the Mojahedin Khaq (MEK) camp in Albania.

Photo : Alireza Jafarzadeh sitting with Americans instead of Maryam RajaviAlireza Jafarzadeh (MEK commander) sitting opposite Maryam Rajavi. Is he with the Americans?

Four American Senators travelled to Albania and held meetings with the President, Governmental officials and opposition figures in that country. The American Embassy in Tirana describes their purpose of visit as “discussing security, defense and counterterrorism cooperation”.

The official Albanian News agency describes this visit as part of a “Fact finding mission in Balkan Countries”.

On the fringe of this “American delegation” fact finding mission they also visited the headquarters of the Mojahedin Khalq terrorist organisation (aka, MEK, Saddam’s private army, NCRI, Rajavi cult) where they spoke with Maryam Rajavi and others.

Contrary to the paid advertisements and propaganda issuing from the Mojahdein Khalq cult which tries to portray this visit as somehow in line with the anti-Iranian terrorist agenda of the group, the goal of the delegation has been to make sure that the arrangements put to place by the U.S. Government, United Nations and the Albanian Government has been executed properly and the group does not pose the threats it posed to people when they were stationed in Iraq.

The Mojahedin Khalq (Rajavi cult) had played the same kind of scenario when Senator John McCain visited Albania last March. Maryam Rajavi tried to pretend that he had been travelling to visit her in Tirana. But McCain had travelled to the Balkan country to meet government officials and according to the Albanian official News agency (ATA) he met with the President, PM, Defence Minister, Parliament speaker and the leader of the opposition.

In the first place, I have to mention that there is a principle dominating the MeK that none of the members must never be seen idle and they have to work from dawn to dusk. The principle is being applied the MeK from top to bottom. Of course the principle becomes more and more severe in the rank and files. Maryam Rajavi used to say that the members should be engaged either in the war or training. Thus when there is no war and the trainings become repetitive, they will be engaged in forced labor. Rajavi held the belief that the members should be forced to work overtime so that they<img alt=""src="https://st.nejatngo.org/Image/Icon/Analyse/MKO_Propaganda.jpg"style="width: 300px; height: 278px; margin: 10px; border-width: 0px; border-style: solid; float: right;"/> become so tired that they fall asleep as soon as their heads touch their pillows.

The purpose was to keep them working, no matter what kind of job they were doing or in which part of the organization they were involved. It had two advantages at the time: 1. The members do not notice the passage of time. 2. They will not be distracted by other issues, particularly sexual feelings, which was regarded as a “red line” in the organization.

So all the occasions, either the self-described events such as the June 20th and historic flight or the national and international ones such as International Women’s Day or May Day holds a special place in the MeK and plays the best role in solving organizational problems and entertaining the members.

I’ve wrote all these to show the importance of the MeK’s propaganda efforts in each and every events.

Now the MeK has May Day 2016 ahead to entertain its political and organizational members until the next event.

The MeK released its first statement on the occasion of the International Workers’ Day on April 7, 2016. Referring to the “heavy burden of economic recession and crises” in Iran and a bunch of workers’ economic problems, the statement call on the Iranian workers to “rise up to support this great right of people with 1000 Ashraf and Liberation Army.”http://wwwbahayazadi.blogspot.com/2016/04/blog-post_79.html

Given the many years of experience and a good understanding of the MeK, I should say that their propaganda is merely an internal matter and has no effect on the Iranian people. In other words, the propaganda starts and ends with the MeK. This is the MeK’s strategy, sending out statements, telling lies about widespread protests of the workers and their support for the MeK’s statements. The next step is showing the supports on their outlets and their coverage should be as big as the statement lest the MeK’s reputation is further smeared.

However, there has always been a great contradiction in the MeK’s propaganda in these events. The final product is never in accordance with what the MeK blows in its own horn.

Even if we assume the most optimistic scenario according to the MeK’s official website (below) that protests have erupted in Iran by workers under the influence of MeK’s propaganda in less than 6 days, then we should expect hundreds of Iranian workers protesting across the Iranian streets in support of the MeK.

Michael Ware meets with high-level representatives of the MEK, a group that wants to overthrow the Iranian government.
<img alt=""src="https://st.nejatngo.org/Image/Writer/Michael_Ware.jpg"style="width: 400px; height: 212px; margin: 10px; float: right;"/>Michael Ware, an Australian journalist from National Geographic, investigated the Mujahedin-e Khalq that he met during the Iraq War. He describes MEK as “the living epitome of the enemy of my enemy is my friend.”
He met them in Iraq back in 2005 when he was a war correspondent. After the American invasion of Iraq, he went to the Camp Ashraf, the MEK’s headquarters, and shot a footage. There he interviewed some female members of the group and now after more than a decade he’s “chasing down the story of who and what the MEK is now. How many of the MEK are left? Where are they and who is supporting them today?” He adds that he also wants to find the girls he met back in 2005 at Camp Ashraf.
He started his journey from Paris, “chasing an Iranian spy ring across Western Europe.” He has tried a lot to “get in touch with someone, anyone inside the group who will talk” to him. After 6 days, he could finally arrange a meeting with Shahin Ghobadi, an MEK spokesman, and found his way into the MEK headquarters. He sat with MEK’s high-level representatives, Mohammad Mohaddesin, Shahin Ghobadi, Farzin Hashemi and Sarvenaz Chitsaz.
His main question from the MEK representatives was about the method they want to use to overthrow Iranian government. But they did not reveal too much and they’ve gone “a long way around to not answering my question.”
He asked for a meeting with the girls he met at Camp Ashraf and they said they are in Germany.
“A look I catch here or there lets me know they are still ready to fight for the revolution,” he concluded.
Ware and his crew flew to Berlin, hoping to meet with the girls. Shahin Ghobadi joined them in Berlin and took them to a symbolic hunger strike, which was “part of a broader MEK propaganda war to gain both new recruits and support for their cause.”
He believed that Germany was a diversion and the girls were not there.
Although the MEK had warned them, if they went to Albania, they’d be on their own, they set off for Albania, where some 3000 MEK members are settled.
They went to the MEK camp, outside Tirana. Surprisingly, Shahin Ghobadi followed them to Albania, “to make sure things go smoothly here in Albania.” There, he was only allowed to “see what Shahin wanted” him to see. “He opened one door and shut another.”
He finally met with two of the girls and sat with them, hearing their story.
In the end, Michael Ware said that certainly the MEK is “still very much devoted to its cause” and they will happily give their lives.

A member of the Fatah Central Committee described Abbas-Rajavi meeting an insignificant matter.

“This should not be discussed anymore as the PA president had landed to France for a meeting and Maryam <img alt=""src="https://st.nejatngo.org/Image/Persons/Rajavi_M/Rajavi_Abbas_EN.jpg"style="width: 400px; height: 212px; margin: 10px; float: right;"/>Rajavi is based in the country,” Abbas Zaki told al-Alam.

Hosted by the France, Mahmoud Abbas’ meeting with Rajavi too place at his residence, so it is quite insignificant and meaningless, specially since Abu Mazen is against intervening in domestic affairs of other countries.

Highlighting the strong bond of friendship between Iran and Palestine, Abbas Zaki said, the relationship between the two countries was built on one and same goal and struggle to do away with all forms of dictatorship.

He added that Islamic Revolution has always prioritized Palestine and ach year Iranians celebrate the International Qods Day.

In a report published yesterday, the UNHCR detailed the exact number of relocated members of MeK from Iraq <img alt=""height="122"src="https://st.nejatngo.org/Image/Org/UNHCR.jpg"style="float: right; margin: 10px;"width="157"/>to Albania during three years (2013-2015).

According to the report, Albania accepted only refugees in 2013, 2014 and 2015, all which were members of MeK in Camp Liberty.

The reports indicate that the MeK members’ relocation outside of Iraq is going to be finished after four years in 2016 after Albania announced it aims to take in more 1900 Camp Liberty residents by the end of 2016.

<img alt=""src="https://st.nejatngo.org/Image/MEK/Women_MEK/MKO_Women_Baghdad_201605.jpg"style="width: 510px; height: 270px; margin: 10px; border-width: 5px; border-style: solid;"/>

In accordance with the December 25, 2011 Memorandum of Understanding between UNAMI and the Government of Iraq, the MeK members were relocated from Camp Ashraf, their long time military camp, to Camp Liberty in order for the UNHCR to resettle them in third countries.

The then US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton repeatedly said that the MeK’s terrorist designation hinged partly on the group’s remaining members leaving Camp Ashraf and moving to Camp Liberty. Following the evacuation of Camp Ashraf, Clinton removed the group from US terror list in September 2012.

<img alt=""src="https://st.nejatngo.org/Image/Persons/MKO/Sahoubi_Ahmad.jpg"style="width: 350px; height: 210px; margin: 10px; float: right;"/>

On April 2, 2016, a news broke that one of the former members of the MeK was reported killed in a gunfire exchange between the IRGC members and a terrorist ring in Sistan and Baluchistan Province.

“Brigadier General Mohammad Marani, the commander of IRGC Ground Force Quds Headquarters said that the ring affiliated with the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization was fully disbanded in Chanf village, near the city of Nikshahr in southern part of the province. Five militants, including the band’s leader Ahmad Sahouei, have been killed. Rape, murder and armed robberies were among the crimes committed by the ring, the Iranian general said, stressing that the militants had long been monitored by security forces.”

Though the MeK showed a blithe disregard to the news and the group’s silence over the issue leaves a tinge of reality in the claims. Last week, the media were provided with further details about the mentioned head of the terrorist group and its relation with the MeK. Again the MeK kept silent and avoided making comments. The new details of the terrorist group’s leader exposed to the public are as follows:

Ahmad Sahouei moved to MeK’s bases in Iraq in early 1980s. There, he was trained in sabotage operations and guerilla fighting.

After a short while, he became one of the elite guerilla forces of the group and was officially praised time and time again by Maryam Rajavi. After a few years, he was dispatched to Pakistan and Afghanistan for special operations. After a while, he moved to Sistan and Baluchistan Province in South Eastern Iran under false identity. Hiding in the mountains of Sistan and Baluchistan, he formed a terrorist group committing new measures threatening the security of the region.

Under a forged identity, Sahouei was involved in killings, armed robberies and rape for years. The seasoned guerilla force then formed a semi-independent group and performed some acts threatening the national security in collaboration with some regional intelligence services.

He was residing in a place where he could easily get out of the ambush and escape. So the IRGC forces in a coordinated operation by Shia and Sunni people Sistan and Baluchistan demolished the group.

Undoubtedly, the MeK’s silence over killing of Sahouei, which is against the MeK’s policy, suggests that they are trying to continue working in the border areas by organizing terror rings to bring insecurity and terror acts to the region. In this way they will be able to satisfy their violent tendencies and promote violence in every possible way. Interestingly, all these plots are being foiled by the people’s collaboration with security forces.

After Maryam Rajavi in 2010 and Parviz Khazaei in 2012, now is the MeK’s European patron Struan Stevenson to predict the overthrow of Iranian government.

Each time that the group makes a promise, they resort to a ground to reiterate their unending promises over and over again.

The MeK leadership’s excuse for this time is deepening the "cracks" among political parties in Iran, which has been stated by Stevenson.

"But his gerrymandering of the election lists may turn out to be the last straw for people who have had enough of fascist oppression, terrorism, corruption and brutality. The fault lines continue to deepen as more and more cracks appear. 2016 will be a pivotal year for Iran and it may well be the year that sees an end to the world’s most dangerous regime."

The reason that the hiding leader of MeK does not make such a promise is mainly because what he said in a public meeting years before his breakout. He said, "I withdraw all my remarks as regards the overthrowing. I’ve made a ghastly mistake."

Of course he intended to fool the members by this as he found it necessary that all the members accept to remain in Iraq with a long-term vision and with no hope. But this strategy did not hinder MeK leadership to resort to false promises in order to keep the frustrated and disappointed members in the camps in Iraq.

In 2007, for example, Rajavi assured the members that US Republicans would definitely attack Iran and that year was Iranian government’s final year.

So why such claims are repeated and the deadline for overthrowing Iranian government is being extended?

The truth is that the disillusioned members of MeK need a beacon of hope. They need to know that they will be released from that miserable condition one day and that they can take their revenge on the Iranian people after Rajavi’s gaining power.

Misinformation on the conditions in Iran is also like that. The Rajavi and his members are interested in misrepresenting the conditions in Iran and claim that Iran is a crisis-stricken country.

Of course the MeK leader intends to wage a so-called psychological warfare against the supporters of the other party with these claims.

But the major function of these promises is for the Rajavi to keep the miserable members and convince them not to leave the Rajavi’s organization and look forward to the day that the regime is "overthrown by itself."

2016 will be over and we should look forward to the next grounds of the MeK to repeat the promise!

The desire for a military invasion against Iran and destroying the country has turned to a terrible nightmare haunting the MeK all the time. The ongoing crisis in the Middle East particularly in Iran’s neighboring countries<img alt=""src="https://st.nejatngo.org/Image/Persons/Rajavis/Rajavis_14.jpg"style="width: 300px; height: 199px; margin: 10px; float: right;"/> during the past two decades have increased the desire and made the MeK leadership drowned in vain desires.

Once using violence on the Iranian streets to topple the Islamic Republic, the MeK is now looking for allies in the region. MeK’s efforts in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen suggests that they are hoping to break the axis of resistance and bring the war to the Iranian frontlines. It shows that the MeK knows no enemy except the Islamic Republic of Iran and their enmity with other states and groups is because of their animosity with Iran. Simply put, they are against the Islamic Republic’s strategy. A strategy which is accepted by the US and European powers. After 3 decades they found out that force is not the solution and thus they sat at the negotiation table.

Using a mixture of stupidity and imagination for analyzing political issues, the MeK leadership resorts to militarism to gain power, or rather, to help release its organization from a deadlock.

Hence, the MeK leadership views the regional developments as in Syria and Yemen not as they really are, but as he wishes them to be. In their calculations, the international players are the winner and Iran will be the loser.

Their foolish understanding is that Iran’s regional power is connected to Assad’s fate. Iran wanted to keep Assad in power 5 years ago when its regional and international enemies intended to topple Assad in less than a month. Having flexed their muscles, they saw fit to negotiate with Iran. The MeK leadership’s assumption that the Islamic Republic consented Assad’s removal (if there is such a consent) again suggests the mixture of stupidity and imagination of their analyzing political issues. That is why they are misrepresenting the regional developments and define them as they wish.

For example, in an article published on the MeK website titled Prospects for Syria and its Loser and Winner an unidentified author asserts:

“addressing a press conference in his recent official visit to Pakistan, Hassan Rouhani said, “negotiations are a basis to achieve a solution and a transitional period in order to determine the future of Syria.” His remarks were so eye catching as the Iranian regime has always been backing Syria’s murderous dictator. As the Syrian opposition and regional countries as well as the western parties emphasized, the transition period means removal of Bashar Assad from power. Thus Hassan Rouhani’s remarks are a step towards going through the motions of the region.”

Finally, the author concludes that, “the confession shows the starting point of an inevitable ending to the Islamic Republic’s strategy.” However, the author censors Rouhani’s remarks during a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart.

President Rouhani reiterated that more cooperation and coordination between Tehran and Moscow contributes to peace and stability in Syria.

He also maintained that ceasefire is necessary to be preserved simultaneously with keeping talks between oppositions.

The Syrian nation is the only authority to decide over the destiny of Syria, highlighted Rouhani in his dialogue with Mr. Putin while insisting upon the principle approaches of the Islamic Republic of Iran toward the crisis in Syria.

During the same dialogue, President Putin of Russia pledged his country’s commitment to peaceful resolution of the Syrian crisis and reiterated that the Russian Federation shares the same approach to the issue.

He also underlined the need for the practice of full control over the Syrian borders to prevent the re-arming of terrorists or dispatch of financial and logistical aid to them,” he added.

The conversation clearly shows that who has provided the Syrian oppositionists with the opportunity of negotiation and what the political future of Syria will be. But the MeK leadership still hopes that the Saudi Arabia gains the victory in the battle.

Massoud Khodabandeh is chartered engineer of electronics from Leeds University, UK. While he was studying in Newcastle to gain engineering diploma, joined groups of students opposing the Shah’s regime. In 1978, Mr. Khodabandeh co-founded the Society for Iranian Muslim Students in Newcastle Polytechnic, which included MeK members and sympathizers. He notes that nearly all persons who joined the MeK after the revolution were either pupils or technical students.

“I was first introduced to politics in Iran, but became more interested in the various opposition groups while a student in Newcastle. I joined groups of students opposing the Shah’s regime, and in the last years of my stay in Newcastle became more and more interested in the so-called ‘revolutionary groups’, one of which was the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization of Iran (MKO).” Massoud Khodabandeh describes that period. “In those days the Mojahedin comprised no more than a group of martyred or imprisoned young people who were [considered] as followers of Ayatollah Khomeini.”

In 1981, Mr. Khodabandeh in Paris joined Massoud Rajavi and the other Mojahedin, who had fled Iran following the MeK failed revolt on June 20. With fluent English and a little French, Massoud Khodabandeh was assigned to a team specifically taking care of Rajavi’s personal affairs. He travelled to Baghdad a few weeks before the arrival of Massoud Rajavi from Paris.

During the years of staying in Iraq, Mr. Khodabandeh participated in many joint projects with the Iraqi army. These included electrical and Telecom training to the Republican Guards of Saddam Hussein. During these years, he also escorted Maryam Rajavi on her holidays to European as well as Arab countries across the world.

Up to 1996, Massoud Khodabandeh was a high ranking commander of the National Liberation Army in charge of the security of the leadership. He was also member of the Executive Committee of the MeK a member of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, the so called political wing of the Mojahedin. On that year, he seceded from the Rajavi’s clult. According to Mr. Khodabandeh, from year before, he was disagree with “un-diplomatic, un-political, and in many cases inhumane conducts” of Rajavis. In 1996, he left the organization to London and presented himself to the British authorities (and later the French authorities. )

Currently, Massoud Khodabandeh is director of Middle East Strategy Consultants and engages in helping the authorities in Iraq to bring about a peaceful solution to the impasse at Camp Liberty and help rescue other victims of the MeK cult.

Maryam Sanjabi of Call of Truth has interviewed Massoud Khodabandeh about untold story of the MeK. What follows is an excerpt of the interview:

• The MeK ideology which is mixture of Marxism and Islam could not hide its contradictions within itself forever. On the other, only a person with abilities, motivations, and psycho complexes of Rajavi could bring the MeK to the current point.

• There would be disputation over causes of this disaster (the MeK), but no one doubts that it is a real disaster. Today, all agree that this group has all the specifications of a cult. But a cult that pretend being an organization.

• “Organization” has distinctive feature, as “cult” has. It is not possible that a group for 30 years has a self-styled leader at the head, and his wife, with repugnant obscenity, calls herself “president”, at the same time has not one page of Statutes, regulations, laws, and methods. Furthermore, which organization every day shifts its policy and strategy and tactics?

• The MeK has all the features of a cult. The Cult Information Center, based in London, provides a definition for cults that most specialists and psychiatrists verify it. It says that a cult or sect is a group that has all five characters below:

1. Apply psychological coercion to recruit, retain and control members.

(In case of Rajavi’s cult, it is enough to refer to brainwashing sessions, ideological revolution, the so-called boiler meetings and daily reports)

2. Constitutes a totalitarian society.

3. The founder or leader is self-appointed, dogmatic, messianic, unpredictable, and charismatic.

4. Believes that “the ends justify the means”.

5. Cult’s wealth does not benefit its members or society.

• Under Saddam, Rajavi used to receive capita per the number of members. The higher the numbers, the more earnings. That is why he gets people into Iraq and keeps them there.

• Since 1382 (2003), more than 1,000 members have defected Rajavi’s gang.

• Out of 210 members who entered Albania, 75 of them upon arrival announced defection and even refused to stay with the others one night.

• Rajavi, best of all, knows that the main threat to his organization neither is IRIG nor is Iraqi army. His threats are those who have been deceived for three decades to work without pay. Masoud and Maryam have repeatedly said that someday one of those people will kill them.

• This week ago in Paris, Maryam Rajavi explicitly ordered physical elimination of survivors and dissidents of the cult…. Rajavis have announced that overthrow of the Islamic Republic requires elimination of critics and dissidents.”

• Preparing food and other daily necessities of Maryam and Masoud Rajavi was at the hand of Hosein Dalili, brother of Bijan Rahimi (Khosro Itelaat). As you know, Hosein Dalili recently died in Iraq due to cancer and Rajavi until the last day refused to send him out.

• Masoud Dalili, senior commander of Rajavi’s escort team, two years ago escaped from the MeK. But they could kidnap him from the Baghdad Hotel, and return to the Camp Ashraf. There, after two years of torture, they killed Dalili and burned his face so maybe the Iraqi forces not discover his identity.

• In meetings with the chief of Iraqi intelligence, Dr. Barak, Rajavi used to obligate me to buy a special Cuban cigar that its maintenance needed to a box made in Cuba that with its special equipment kept constant temperature and humidity. Similarly, when Baghdad was under bombardment of US army, I was required to purchase several dozen types of specific French cheeses for Tariq Aziz who was stationed on the last floor of Rashid Hotel (the site was partially protected from air attack due to the presence of reporters).

• Rajavi is not a normal man. He is a different person and knowing him is a different job. Rajavi’s illness is odd and very dangerous. For myself, I’ve seen different persons at all levels but I dare to say that I’ve never seen anyone like him who has no boundaries in no field except self-preservation. I think that anybody has a boundary that eventually stops over it. Ordinary persons no way can break boundaries into infinity. It requires madness; an exceptional madness that Rajavi has it. He is the only one who still hunts for new boundaries to burst it and be satisfied.

• Maryam Rajavi has another type of madness. But even she is motivated by Masoud. Maryam Rajavi’s pugnacity, tyranny, ignorance and crime are engine by her husband.
