British MPs to visit the headquarters of the Cult of Rajavi in Albania

According to the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK/ PNOI), two British MPs visited the group’s base in Albania. David Jones and Bob Blackman, both conservatives were offered all expenses of their flight from London to Tirana, their stay and their hefty fees by the MEK. They visited Maryam Rajavi and expressed their support for the revolution in Iran under the leadership of Maryam Rajavi.

The two paid lobbyists of the Cult of Rajavi clearly advocate any entity in exchange for money. Both are already under scrutiny for financial corruption and their unclear activities.

On November 8th 2021, the British news media, Daily Mail published a report on David Jones’s involvement with bribery and paid lobbying. Protesters gathered in front of his constituency office in Wales. They sprayed the words “corrupt scum” in red across the windows outside the building.

Bob Blackman does not have a better record. He is an active lobbyist for every customer who pays well. He has been a member of the House of Commons in 2010. On February 2022, OpenDemocracy.net reported that Blackman had taken seven free trips, worth tens of thousands of pounds, to oil-rich Azerbaijan since 2011. Three of the trips had been paid for by either the Azerbaijani parliament or its London embassy.

Blackman has received a series of briefings from high-level Azerbaijani figures, including Azerbaijani MP Javanshir Feyziyev – who was at the center of a high-profile court case that saw £5.6m of laundered cash ordered to be seized from his family’s bank accounts.
