Rajavi leads a cult with around 2,000 members, who live in a closed camp west of Tirana. The members in Camp Ashraf 3 have suffered many deaths due to COVID. From the start of the pandemic, MEK refused entry to the local authorities and medial teams who wanted to help prevent the spread of the virus and offer medical support to the camp residents. Currently it is not certain whether the residents of the camp have had access to vaccines, and if they have, what type.

However, MEK leader Maryam Rajavi and her acolytes do not live in the camp. Rajavi prefers more luxurious surroundings. No doubt she explains the necessity for her separate accommodation as a security issue – a claim simultaneously and equally insulting to Albania’s security services and the credulity of the members. Since she lives separate from the members, it is possible that Rajavi has ordered the vaccine for herself and her acolytes because she believes this is the most effective against the virus. Possibly other smugglers have brought Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna vials too.

Of course, in the big picture, the personal whims of a cult leader in Albania may not seem important. But the incidence of smuggling by MEK members is a reminder of the nature of this group and its activities beyond political posturing. Over the past four decades MEK has morphed from a military terrorist entity to an intelligence propaganda entity. But while MEK has been exposed for click farm activity and expensive propaganda rallies, by far its most important activity is criminal in nature; the MEK is a mafia-type criminal organisation.

The two men used to smuggle the vaccine are 69 and 73 years old. With German passports, they qualify for pensions and state support. Why would they take part in criminal activity? Italian investigators will probably discover that as members of the MEK they do not have proper addresses, but live communally in Germany. They almost certainly do not have bank accounts or any assets to pay any possible fines. These two men should be enjoying a relaxing retirement, not used for criminal activity which they will not personally gain from. Such members of MEK are not paid or rewarded for their services, they are simply two of the tens of slave members owned by Rajavi.

Rajavi long ago gave up any hope of actively bringing about change in Iran. Over time, the MEK has shrunk and shrunk through deaths and abandonment until, now there are fewer than two thousand members trapped in the camp in Albania. Most of these are old and ailing with no ambition to ‘overthrow the Iranian regime in its entirety’, as Rajavi boasts. Instead, the MEK’s speciality is as an organised crime group which survives through criminal activity and sells its expertise to Iran’s enemies.

MEK criminal activity includes: people trafficking; smuggling – money, passports, jewellery, goods and even vaccines; money laundry (Saudi money was channelled via the MEK to fund the right-wing VOX Party in Spain); foreign money paid to warmongers in America to promote Saudi, Israeli and Neocon agendas; corruption of politicians to promote the MEK brand; corruption of media outlets to suppress criticism of MEK; and corruption of various officials to not apply laws and turn a blind eye to MEK activity.

The MEK has been enabled to act with impunity because its anti-Iran messaging suits so many of Iran’s enemies. Italian investigators who trace the smuggled vaccine “vials of the ABW4330 series expiring in July 2021” back from these Iranian men, will no doubt uncover the source of MEK’s criminal involvement in this activity. Whether they will be minded to act on their findings will involve a lot more than straightforward policing.

The customs police authorities and the Italian Guardia di Finanza have seized 3 vials of the Astrazeneca vaccine that were being illegally transported from Italy to Albania. 3 vials of Astrazeneca that are equal to 18 doses of vaccine, were found in a refrigerator bag in the possession of two drivers with German documents, but of Iranian origin, who were traveling by ferry line from the port of Bari to Albania.
The Iranian drivers are Abdolrahim Orangi Asl and Ghassem Farhadi, 69 and 73 years old, who were traveling in a “Volvo” car on the “Aurelia” ferry to Durrës, ORA writes. The vials are of the ABW4330 series expiring in July 2021. [ note– Abdolrahim Orangi Asl is a veteran MEK supporter ]
An investigative process has been launched against this event. According to prosecutor Luisiana Divittorio, efforts are being made to find out what happened.

These questions are expected to be answered by Italian investigators. The serial number contained in each vial will help find their origin. The two drivers have been reported for robbery and illegal traffic and are being investigated at large. While three vials of Astrazeneca vaccine have been seized.

Covid-19 virus disease has taken a heavy toll on the world body, and its impact on countries that were previously considered vulnerable before the pandemic has been far greater. These communities, which are more prone to disease, do not have access to adequate health care services and as a result, face many difficulties in controlling the virus.

My family and I have not seen my brother for many years and we have not heard his voice on the phone and we have not even received a message from him, and this always bothers us.

But now the news worries us a lot, and that is that on the one hand, my brother is probably infected with the Covid-19 virus and is living in very acute conditions, and on the other hand, the health conditions inside the camp are unfavorable due to the group life.

We, the family of Gholam Hossein Zarei, have no desire other than hearing his voice and learning about his health. Of course, in support of the MEK, Albania does not grant us Iranians visas and does not allow us to travel. The MEK does not even allow a single phone call to its members.

I am Esmail Taherkhani, the brother of Issa Taherkhani, who is apparently at this time in the Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK) camp in Albania.

My brother was captured by Iraqi forces during the Iran-Iraq war and was deceitfully transferred to the MEK camp in Iraq during Saddam Hussein’s rule. I have not heard from my brother since then and the family has not been allowed to contact him.

Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus disease and its epidemic all over the world, especially in Albania, according to the latest media reports, several dozen members of this group have died of the Covid-19 virus in recent weeks. They were buried in the local Manëz (Manzë) cemetery in Durrës, Albania.

The MEK, which operates a camp on the outskirts of Tirana, does not allow journalists and doctors to enter the area and works with patients with coronavirus disease and deaths outside the protocols of the World Health Organization and the Albanian government.

This has raised our concerns about the health of a large number of members, most of whom are elderly and over 60 years old. We have to wait for a humanitarian catastrophe in the Manëz area of Tirana and endanger the health of hundreds of thousands of people in this area and its neighboring areas, because the camp where the MEK members are based is completely closed and people have group life and are not allowed to have communication with their families. Also, the Albanian government does not grant visas to Iranians at the request of the MEK leaders to travel to that country and follow the issue closely.

I desperately urge you not to neglect any action that is imagined in order to alleviate the worries of me and my expectant family, so that news of my brother will reach us and we will be able to communicate. Please do not hesitate to take any action and follow up in this regard.

I was informed that you are going to Albania today for a two-day visit and that you are meeting with high-ranking Albanian officials about the country’s entry into the European Union. Visiting the Greek border with Albania is also included in your schedule.

On behalf of the suffering families of members of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MEK, MKO) in Albania, I would like to inform you that this organization, which is run as a destructive mind control cult led by Massoud and Maryam Rajavi, was transferred to Albania in 2016 and the members are held in a remote and isolated camp in Manzë, in Durrës county, western Albania.

Members of the Rajavi cult do not have the right to communicate with their families due to the cultic internal relations, and some of their elderly mothers and fathers have been kept unaware of the situation of their loved ones in the MEK for decades. Not only have they not been allowed any meetings and have not heard their children’s voices, but they have not even received any message from them.

Last year, a petition to the Albanian government was organized by these families at Change.org – which was signed in a matter of weeks by more than 11,250 relatives, friends and acquaintances of the residents in the MEK camp in Albania – calling for the possibility of getting in touch with them and learning about their health and welfare.

Urging Albanian government to let the families to contact their loved ones in MEK camp

Hundreds of separate letters have been sent by families to various Albanian government officials, including Prime Minister Edi Rama, but no response has been received. At the request of the MEK leaders, the Albanian government does not grant visas to Iranian nationals to visit the country, so they cannot pursue their demands on the spot through the judiciary there.

Some MEK members have now left the cult but are under severe financial pressure because they are not supported by the Albanian government or the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, and do not have identity documents, work permits or refugee status. The Rajavi Cult’s goal, in cooperation with the Albanian government, is to force them to follow the MEK’s demands. The leaders of the organization also threatened to kill these individuals and the Albanian citizens and journalists who helped them, and have waged psychological warfare against them, and in some cases created legal problems for them.

With the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus pandemic, families have become increasingly concerned about their children’s welfare. Dozens of members of the organization have reportedly died from the disease in recent weeks. Communal living and the lack of access by health officials to the camp have created dangerous conditions for the members.

Albanian public opinion, especially among the residents of Manzë and Durrës, is very concerned about the presence of a terrorist organization in their territory; a group which has been expelled from Iraq for activities that contravened national security there, and which now has an open hand to operate in their country. Many media outlets and human rights activists in Albania have warned of the presence of this terrorist cult, which violates even the most basic rights of its own members.

During this period, suspicious killings took place inside the MEK camp, including the death of Malek Shara’i, but unfortunately the local police were kept from pursuing their investigations. There is also information that the MEK is involved in organized crime in Albania, including money laundering and human trafficking, as well as weapons and drugs smuggling.

Two years ago, Mostafa Mohammadi and his wife, Canadian citizens, went to Tirana to visit their daughter, Somayeh Mohammadi, who is in the MEK camp. They were beaten by elements of the Rajavi cult, and unfortunately not only were their complaints not dealt with, but they were expelled from the country and could not return and pursue the matter through the judiciary.

When visiting the Greek border with Albania, please keep in mind that Ehsan Bidi, a former member of the MEK, was taken to the Greek border without any charges after a year of illegal detention for refusing to cooperate with the organization. He was rescued with the help of other former members, human rights activists and lawyers. He is being held in illegal detention again.

The cases of Ehsan Bidi and Mostafa Mohammadi and Malek Shara’i and dozens of other cases and the suspicious murders that were left uninvestigated show, above all, the corruption of the police, the judiciary and even the media, that Albania is now a safe haven for criminals. And now terrorists have arrived on European soil.

I urge you, as a European Union official, to ask the Albanian government and authorities in your meetings what their response is to the families of the members of the MEK in Albania. Why should the MEK be able to cut off its members from the outside world, especially their families? Why do they not have the right to leave the camp, the right to marry and start a family, and the right to a personal and individual life?

With rising of criticism and dissatisfaction among the MKO members concerning its leadership, a number of them have recently split from the group; an issue that has been admitted by the MKO ringleaders.

The group’s commander knows that the situation differs from what they experienced in in Iraq, where they were supported for many years by Saddam Hussein’s regime. They know very well that space is much freer in Albania, and they cannot control their members as easily as they did in Iraq. The issue of controlling the members who lived in this dark tunnel for 40 years and are now seeking freedom and exit has become a problem for Maryam Rajavi and her companions.

Therefore, the continuous contradictions and the gradual death that has overshadowed Rajavi’s group, has entered its final stage with the collapse of Trump. Maryam Rajavi is well aware that the policy of deception, lying and brainwashing, which were carried out by her missing husband and then by herself is no longer useful to persuade the members of the group to stay.

Rajavi sought to prevent separation of the group’s members by this deception that the government in Iran would be overthrown by entering of Trump to the White House. She had promised her members that this goal would be achieved if they used all their best. In the same way, Rajavi’s husband used to force the members to work eighteen hours a day in order to deprive them of the opportunity to think about their future.

At the end, nothing new was happened. The analysis and prediction of Maryam Rajavi and some of her American supporters was nothing but an illusion. For this reason, the leadership of this Iranian group has difficulty in convincing its members to stay. In the time of Saddam Hussein and with his support for Massoud Rajavi, members could be somehow controlled, but now it is very difficult for Rajavi to act in the heart of Europe, and to be able to deceive the members of the group as before.

I do not have any information about my son’s condition because the MEK does not allow my son to call his family and we are now unaware of his health.

This is a matter of great concern to me and my family, given the widespread wave of the Coronavirus in the MEK camp in Albania and the deaths of several people in recent weeks.

As the WHO Official I ask you as well as the Albanian government to intervene in the situation of the MEK camp in Albania, because this organization does not allow anyone to enter the camp, and this is very worrying.
