Albanian police have arrested former Iranian terrorist Mohammad Sadat Darbandi, nicknamed “Kak Adel” (in Kurdish language Brother Adel). He, along with some Albanian thieves, had terrorized small businesses in the Municipality of Kamez, breaking into some of them to steal.

Link to official PDF File on the arrest of MEK Terrorists Mohammad Sadat Darbandi

It is interesting that this Iranian thief has committed monstrous crimes not only against his compatriots in Iran, but also against his comrades in the MEK organization, currently known as the Rajavi Cult. He was the head of the MEK prison in Camp Ashraf in the Diyala Governorate in Iraq. In collaboration with Saddam Hussein’s Mukhabarat (military intelligence) operatives, he tortured dozens of members of the MEK organization, who were theoretically his comrades-in-arms against the Iranian government! This stinking thief, in addition to Iranian blood, has painted his hands with Iraqi Kurdish blood and other Iraqi blood, those who are part of Iraqi social groups called “abd” and “grook”!

Mohammad Sadat Darbandi, nicknamed “Kak Adel”

Interestingly, the Israeli adviser and the American adviser to SAVAK, had in the seventies in the last century, among other things, marked in his personal file (as he was imprisoned along with the former terrorist leader Massoud Rajavi) his tendency to steal whatever he could.

Already the Albanian Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed my alarm about such garbage, with the blood of his comrades and compatriots on his hands! These people on the ropes are a real and present threat to the security, honour, life and wealth of Albanians.

I hope that the director Gledis Nano will be mature and order his subordinates to take urgent measures against such scum, that were imposed on us in Manze!

Another member of the People’s Mujahedin of Iran, MEK, resident at Ashraf 3 in Manez has admitted to two incidents of theft, just two months after other members were reportedly involved in human and drug smuggling.

Documents seen by Exit from inside the Tirana prosecution office show that the individual, Mohammad Sadat Darbandi was involved in stealing money from a pharmacy in Kamez along with two Albanian nationals in March last year.

The rap sheet says he admitted to the crime.

Mohammad Sadat DArbandi aka Kak Adel

The second incident involved the individual breaking and entering into a bar and stealing money from the cash register. He admitted to this as well.

The document, stamped by prosecutor Elina Kombi, clearly specifies he has previous convictions but did not elaborate.

In December, Exit published information on a letter, sent to a Western foreign diplomat bearing the stamp of the Director of the Criminal Police Department in the State Police, giving details of a serious rap sheet of offences involving MEK members.

It states that two members of MEK, along with Albanian and Greek accomplices, were apprehended for direct involvement in human trafficking. On 11 July 2021, police stopped a car carrying Syrian, Iraqi, and Kurdish citizens. Further investigations led to the arrest of the main gang members.

According to the document, it was discovered that between 2019 and 2021, the same smuggling gang attempted to transfer some 400 members of MEK from Albania to France.

Iranian Exiles in Albania Arrested for Drug Trafficking and Human Smuggling

But that is not all. On 18 July 2021, a consignment of drugs was seized by police and two MEK senior officials—Narges Abrishamchi and Hassan Nayeb-Agha—were arrested. It is reported in the official document they confessed to playing a pivotal role in organising and transporting a shipment of drugs to Italy.

This pattern of criminality, according to an official source who wished to remain anonymous, told Exit, dates back to 2015. The documents and the source claim that information on these crimes has also been handed over to the US Embassy in Tirana.

Exit contacted the US Embassy to comment but no formal response has been given.

In terms of the latest charges, Exit contacted both the Prosecutor’s office and the State Police to ask how many crimes have been reported involving MEK members since 2015, and how many have been convicted. No response was forthcoming by the time of publication.

MEK, otherwise known as the People’s Mujahedin of Iran, is a political-militant Iranian opposition group that advocates overthrowing the current regime and installing its own government. Although the designation has since been lifted, it was previously considered a terrorist organisation by the EU, Canada, the US, and Japan. They now enjoy widespread support and even protection by the EU and the US.

In 2013, the US government requested the group, in exile, be settled in Albania, but MEK initially rejected the offer. They eventually agreed to relocate 3000 members to the country, and the US donated $20 million to the UN refugee agency for the cause. In 2016, a further 280 members moved to Albania to a heavily guarded compound in Manze, Durres County.

Few journalists have been allowed inside the compound, but you can read a detailed account from 2019 here.

The Exit website published a roundup of some of the breaking news, exclusives, and most powerful stories Exit brought during 2021. Among the stories one was about the MEK members in Albania and the group’s criminal activities:

MEK members allegedly involved in criminal activity

One of the most controversial stories of the year was the revelation that members of MEK, an Iranian mercenary ex-terrorist organisation based in Albania, had been arrested for crimes including drug trafficking, money laundering and human smuggling. Official documents shown to Exit show a senior police official notifying a foreign diplomat of the situation. The embassy in question failed to give an on the record response to questions from Exit regarding the alleged rap sheet of charges against MEK members, none of which have resulted in prosecution.

They brought vaccines illegally to Albania, two Iranians with 18 doses were caught, SYRI.net reported:

The customs police authorities and the Italian Guardia di Finanza have seized 3 vials of the Astrazeneca vaccine that were being illegally transported from Italy to Albania. 3 vials of Astrazeneca that are equal to 18 doses of vaccine, were found in a refrigerator bag in the possession of two drivers with German documents, but of Iranian origin, who were traveling by ferry line from the port of Bari to Albania.
The Iranian drivers are Abdolrahim Orangi Asl and Ghassem Farhadi, 69 and 73 years old, who were traveling in a “Volvo” car on the “Aurelia” ferry to Durrës, ORA writes. The vials are of the ABW4330 series expiring in July 2021. [ note– Abdolrahim Orangi Asl is a veteran MEK supporter ]
An investigative process has been launched against this event. According to prosecutor Luisiana Divittorio, efforts are being made to find out what happened.

-Who ordered the vaccine?
-Who enabled their receipt?
-Why were they arriving in Albania transported by citizens of Iranian origin?
These questions are expected to be answered by Italian investigators. The serial number contained in each vial will help find their origin. The two drivers have been reported for robbery and illegal traffic and are being investigated at large. While three vials of Astrazeneca vaccine have been seized.

An Iranian intelligence official said the security forces in the northwestern province of East Azarbaijan arrested 60 elements that had links with the terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) last year.

Head of the Intelligence Ministry’s office in East Azarbaijan province said the intelligence forces have arrested a number of spies and infiltrators in the provincial organizations.

He also noted that the MKO terrorist group intensified its efforts in the previous year to take advantage of the economic woes in Iran, adding that 60 elements affiliated with the MKO’s leading members have been arrested.

The detainees had plans to acquire arms and carry out terrorist operations, he added.

The MKO or MEK – listed as a terrorist organization by much of the international community – fled Iran in 1986 for Iraq and was given a camp by former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.

They fought on the side of Saddam during the Iraqi imposed war on Iran (1980-88). They were also involved in the bloody repression of Shiite Muslims in southern Iraq in 1991 and the massacre of Iraqi Kurds.

The notorious group is also responsible for killing thousands of Iranian civilians and officials after the victory of the Islamic revolution in 1979.

More than 17,000 Iranians, many of them civilians, have been killed at the hands of the MKO in different acts of terrorism including bombings in public places, and targeted killings.

<img loading="lazy" width="700" height="364" class="aligncenter wp-image-8333 size-full"src="https://www.nejatngo.org/en/wp-content/uploads/Money_Laundering_2.jpg"alt="Money laundery of the MEK lobby in Albania"width="700"height="364" srcset="https://www.nejatngo.org/en/wp-content/uploads/Money_Laundering_2.jpg 700w, https://www.nejatngo.org/en/wp-content/uploads/Money_Laundering_2-300x156.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" />

The arrested men including two Jewish Albanians, laundered thousands of euros by the aid of an NGO named FARA. The money was funneled to Albania from Israel.

The construction permit was issued by the Albanian National Territorial Council for the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (the MKO/MEK/ PMOI/ Cult of Rajavi) to construct their new Camp Ashraf 3 in Manze in Durres region in North of Albania. However, the permit was officially granted to FARA, (an extremely problematic issue for Albania and Albanians).

The relation between the arrestees and the confiscated money with the MKO and its third camp is under investigation.

MEK member arrested in Tirana Albania. An Iranian citizen, one of the Mojahedin refugees hosted in Albania, ended up as a defendant in the Court of Tirana, reports Panorama.

He was tried for committing theft, an offense which he committed while living at the Mojahedin asylum seekers refuge in Babrru village.

The trial of 47-year-old Mohsen S. ended a few days ago. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 6 months in prison.<img alt=""src="https://st.nejatngo.org/Image/MEK/MEK_Decline/MEK_Decline_5_L.jpg"style="width: 250px; height: 132px; margin: 10px; float: left;"/>

He was tried under ‘obligatory appearance’ as a security measure and will not end up in cells. The court suspended his prison sentence for 18 months during which he must not commit any further offence.

The Tirana Court decision clarified that the defendant, Mohsen S., was currently based at the asylum seekers centre located in the capital’s province of Babrru. On August 31, 2016, around 13:30, he was caught by the owner of a market stealing food goods in his shop.

The market in question is a short distance from the center where Mojahedin asylum seekers have been placed. According to the Court decision, the defendant Mohsen S. placed some food stuff into the bag he had with him and tried to leave without paying. His actions were observed by the owner of the supermarket.

The owner prevented the 47-year-old from leaving his shop. In the refugee’s bag he found three cans of fish, a bottle of a carbonated soft drink and a bottle of ketchup. The supermarket owner informed the police.

After his arrest, criminal proceedings on the charge of theft were brought against the Iranian. The defendant admitted to the theft. At the same time, he admitted that he had also stolen goods the day before in the same market but stressed he was unable to pay because he had not yet received any payment from the Mojahedin organization.

Before and during the trial the defendant admitted the offense and showed deep repentance, asking forgiveness from the Court with the promise that he will not commit such an act again. In justification of the suspension of sentence for the defendant, the court emphasized that he posed little social danger, had no previous convictions and the fact that the defendant is seeking asylum in Albania.

Iran’s security forces have arrested a ringleader of the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO), who was seeking to create chaos during the funeral procession of a senior Iranian official in the capital Tehran.

Iranian media reported on Wednesday that the MKO member had been arrested the day before in the central city of Isfahan. The terrorist had been identified by Iranian security forces before entering the country, according to the reports.

The individual had come to Iran with the aim of creating chaos during the funeral of Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, who passed away on Sunday and was laid to rest on Tuesday.

Huge crowds of Iranian mourners from all walks of life turned out in Tehran for the funeral of the late chairman of Iran’s Expediency Council and two-time president. The funeral was also attended by senior political, military and religious figures.

Mourners take part in the funeral of former Iranian president Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani in Tehran, Iran, on January 10, 2017

The terrorist had reportedly recorded numerous videos for MKO-affiliated satellite channels.

The MKO, the most hated terrorist group among the Iranians, has carried out numerous terrorist attacks against Iranian civilians and government officials over the past three decades.

Out of the nearly 17,000 Iranians killed in terrorist assaults since the victory of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, about 12,000 have fallen victim to MKO’s acts of terror.

The terrorist group also sided with the former Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein, during Iraq’s eight-year imposed war against Iran in the 1980s. The group also helped Saddam in his brutal crackdown on his opponents.

Iran’s Police spokesman said the Interpol has arrested a female member of the terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) in Albania for involvement in a bomb blast at the headquarters of the Islamic Republic Party <img alt=""src="https://st.nejatngo.org/Image/Icon/Justice/Justice_Cuff_3.jpg"style="width: 300px; height: 229px; margin: 10px; float: right;"/>in Tehran in 1981. Speaking to the Tasnim News Agency on Sunday, General Saeed Montazer-al-Mahdi said the woman was arrested after she was put on the Interpol’s Red Notice, a warrant that necessitates measures to seek the location and arrest of a person wanted by a judicial jurisdiction or an international tribunal with a view to his or her extradition.

On June 28, 1981, a powerful bomb went off at the headquarters of Iran’s Islamic Republic Party in Tehran, while the members were holding a meeting.

It was revealed later that the MKO was behind the terrorist blast.

72 Iranian officials were killed in the explosion, including Chief Justice Ayatollah Mohammad Beheshti, four cabinet ministers, 27 members of the parliament and several other government officials.

The MKO – listed as a terrorist organization by much of the international community – fled Iran in 1986 for Iraq and was given a camp by former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.
