On Friday, August 13, 1402, Asila Association held a conference titled “Voice of Families” in Tirana, Albania. The Association for the Support of Iranians living in Albania called the purpose of holding this public conference “to bring the voice of the waiting families of members of the Cult of Rajavi.”

The Voice of Families conference was held at Dora Hotel in Tirana and was welcomed by the guests. The executive director of the conference was Erisa Rahimi and the head organizer was Ella Dada.

Dashamir Mersuli, president of Asila, Aldo Solullari, media manager of Asila, Khalil Ansarian, Hamid Atabay, as well as Bijar Rahimi, a new member of Asila, who recently left the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK), spoke at the conference.

The Voice of Families conference

The conference also had guests from Iran: Soraya Abdullahi addressed the audience online, which was very impressive. Also, two video messages from Saeed Hosseini’s mother, Masoumeh Hosseini, and Fereydoon Nedai’s mother were played for the participants. The speeches of these mothers greatly impressed the guests.

The speeches of Bijar Rahimi, who had left the MEK a few days ago, and the facts he told from inside the camp of Cult of Rajavi were shocking for the audience.

The conference lasted three hours and at the end, the final statement was read by Hamid Atabay. It was then signed by all of the attendants of the conference.

Finally, Erisa Rahimi appreciated all of the families, Nejat Society and its CEO, Ebrahim Khodabandeh, for their support to Asila. He also thanked Dashamir Mersouli, the president of Asila, on behalf of the members and families.

The film of this conference will soon be made available to the public, especially the honorable families of Nejat Society in Iran.

Dozens of Iranian protesters and relatives of members of the terrorist Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) have called upon Albanian authorities to shut down a camp that hosts anti-Iran elements and make preparation for the repatriation of their family members.

Demonstrators and members of the independent civil society organization Nejat Society converged outside the Turkish embassy in downtown Tehran, which represents Albania’s interests in the Islamic Republic, and appreciated the latest raids by Albanian police forces on the Ashraf-3 camp in the northwest of the capital Tirana.

They underlined that the camp serves as a place, where malicious plots and cyber attacks are being orchestrated, and various forms of money laundering and human rights abuse are being carried out.

Iranian protesters and relatives of members of the terrorist Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) take part in a protest outside the Turkish embassy in Tehran, which represents Albania’s interests in the Islamic Republic, on June 30, 2023. (Photo by Tasnim news agency)

The protesters released a communiqué during the gathering, asking Albanian authorities to shut down the camp and put the notorious ringleaders of the MKO terrorist cult on trial.

The relatives of MKO members also urged the Albanian government not to allow leaders of the cult to use their loved ones as human shields against security forces.

They also asked Albanian officials not to fall into the psychological warfare trap of the MKO and let the terrorists abuse them, as the cult is enormously hated by the entire Iranian nation and even opponents of the Islamic establishment.

“After seven years of supporting the MKO, the Albanian government came to realize that its national security is more significant than anything else,” Ebrahim Khodabandeh, the head of Nejat Society, said at the gathering.

He stated that families of MKO members are calling on Albanian officials to let them visit the Southeastern European country and meet with their loved ones, and to secure their release from the camp.
Albanian police forces raided the Ashraf-3 camp on Thursday morning, more than a week after they stormed the same place over indications of cyber attacks against foreign institutions being orchestrated there.

According to Albanian Daily News, security forces were deployed at the entrance to the camp accommodating MKO members, and controlled all vehicles leaving the site.

The Albania police takes control of the MEK Camp Ashraf 3

On June 20, Albanian authorities raided the camp to seize 150 computer devices linked to terrorist activities.

Albanian Interior Minister Bledi Cuci and the head of the national police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, said both police officers and MKO terrorists were injured during the raid.

Police in Albania have raided a camp home to the anti-Iran terrorist cult of the Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO).
Reports suggest that the MKO member killed in the raid was a high-profile commander of the terrorist group named Abdolvahhab Faraji. He was said to be an expert in military engineering operations, and was apparently in charge of technical and engineering activities during an anti-Iran operation by MKO terrorists in July 1988.

Sources have reported that a number of other MKO terrorists are in critical condition after the raid.

MKO members spent many years in Iraq, where they were hosted and armed by the former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. They sided with Saddam during the 1980-88 war against Iran and then helped him quell uprisings in various parts of the Arab country.

Albania started hosting the terrorists after the group was shunned by the government of former Iraqi prime minister Nouri al-Maliki.
Albanian officials have charged six MKO terrorists over violent clashes with police.
The European country is estimated to have been accommodating some 3,000 members of the terror cult since 2016.

The European Union, Canada, the United States, and Japan had previously listed the MKO as a “terrorist organization”.

In 2012, the group was taken off the US list of terrorist organizations. The EU followed suit, removing the group from its list of terrorist organizations.

The MKO has carried out numerous terrorist attacks against Iranian civilians and government officials over the past decades, killing nearly 17,000 Iranians.

The group throws lavish conferences every year in Paris, with certain American and other Western officials in attendance as guests of honor.

Following the raid by the Albanian Police to Mujahedin-e Khalq’s base in North of Tirana, Nejat Society hold a rally outside the embassy of Turkey which represents Albanian interests. Nejat Society includes families of residents of the MEK’s camp, Ashraf 3, and former members of the group.

The gathering was held to express gratitude to the Albanian government for the action they took to legally investigate the MEK’s headquarters as a potential place for conspiracy, cyber-attack, financial fraud and human rights abuse.
Expressing their gratitude to the Albanian state, families of MEK members who are taken as hostages in the cult-like system of the group, asked the Albanian authorities for the shutdown of Camp Ashraf 3 and the trial of the leaders of the MEK.
Ebrahim Khodabandeh, The CEO of Nejat Society spoke in the gathering. “After seven years of supporting the MEK, the Albanian government came to the conclusion that the security of its country is more important,” he said. “What we said from the very first day. Now we should take immediate action to seek our requests.”

He expresses further demands of families of MEK members based on traveling to Albania to visit their loved ones and their release from the group’s isolated camp in Albania. Khodabandeh valued the twenty years of humanitarian activities of Nejat Society members.

A ten-point statement signed by members of the society was read out during the gathering. Families asked the Albanian government to prevent the MEK leaders from using their loved ones as human shields against security forces.
The raid of the Albanian anti-corruption Police to Camp Ashraf 3 on June 23, 2023 was the country’s first action taken to investigate the Cult of Rajavi as a formerly designated terrorist group with a long background of violence and human rights abuse, after near ten years of residence in the Albanian territory.

The gathering was coincident with the official settlement of the Albanian Police inside Ashraf 3 to set up a checkpoint there.

Ms. Soraya Abdollahi wrote a letter to Bledi Çuçi, the text of which is as follows.

Honorable Minister of Interior of the Republic of Albania
Your Excellency, Mr. Bledi Çuçi
Greetings and respect

I am Soraya Abdollahi, the mother of Amir Aslan Hassanzadeh, who is a captive in the Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK) camp in Albania, and I am responsible for organizing the mothers of the Nejat Society in Iran. Mothers whose children, like my son, are trapped in the MEK camp and have nowhere to go. Mothers who are rightfully title as the “forgotten victims of the Rajavi Cult”.
I and other suffering mothers whose children are in Camp Ashraf 3 in Manëz, Albania against their will, have written many times to you and other authorities of your country and we are still waiting for the response and reaction from the honorable government.

According to media reports, the MEK has taken nearly 2,000 of our children hostage for decades and does not allow the families to meet, make phone calls, or even exchange letters. These people have been based in Albania for almost a decade now.

During the past years, Rajavi’s cult has brought many of our children into the cult through illegal channels and smuggling. Many of these people had gone to Turkey, the UAE, Pakistan and other countries in search of work and a better life. They were deceived by the promise of work and residence in European countries and were forcibly brought to Iraq and inside Camp Ashraf. After that, they were subjected to a complex process of brainwashing and they were not allowed to go out and communicate with the free world, especially their family.

Members of the MEK, based on cultic controls, have been denied permission to communicate with the free world, form a family and living, communicate with family and friends, study, have a job, and have personal life. They cannot leave the camp run by the cult commanders and contact us, and we expectant mothers and families wish to find out about their health and how they live.
Unfortunately, during the last four decades, many fathers and mothers have suffered a lot due to the separation and distance of their children or died without getting news of their loved ones.

According to the provisions and obligations that were communicated to them when they entered Albania, the MEK should reside in the country of Albania based on asylum laws and basic human rights and as refugees individually. But all members have been under the absolute control of the leaders of MEK who did not adhere to any of their commitments. The leadership of the MEK has practically imprisoned and held its members hostage and violates their basic human rights.

Considering the current situation where the main and law-abiding nature of the MEK has been clarified against the responsible action of the respected government of Albania in the direction of applying the law and national sovereignty, and considering the precarious situation of our loved ones in the MEK in Albania, we the painful families, for the sake of the captives, appeal you that first allow the Iranian families who can prove their relationship with the people stationed in the MEK camp to enter Albania, and secondly consider arrangements so that these elderly people can meet their loved ones.

Sincerely,
Soraya Abdullahi
Representative of the mothers of Nejat Society

She has been looking forward to visiting her son for about 4 decades. The years of separation from her beloved son has left her with grieves and pains. Fereidoon was taken as a war prisoner by Iraqi forces when he was a soldier of the Iranian army fighting in Iran-Iraq war.
The MEK recruiters deceived him to join the group, and this was the start of a long-term break-up from his family. Roghayeh Farazian’s cries for help in front of the ICRC office is very distressing.

She is the mother of Parvaneh Rabiee, a member of the Mujahedin-e Khalq. She has not met and even contacted her daughter for over forty years. The years of separation from her beloved daughter has left her with grieves and pains.
As a young girl, Parvaneh had immigrated to Germany where she was taken as a hostage by the MEK recruiters. Leaders of the MEK do not allow Parvaneh to contact her mother because they consider family as the enemy of their cult-like organization.
Listen to the heartbroken mother of Parvaneh.

Members of Nejat Society used the occasion of May 8th, the International Day of Red Cross to call on the world for the release of their loved ones. Families of hostages of the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK/ PMOI/ Cult of Rajavi) are members of Nejat NGO who have been looking forward to visiting their loved ones in the group, for decades.

Since the establishment of Nejat Society, families have taken numerous actions to attract attention of the world to the humanitarian crisis that members of the Cult of Rajavi are faced with. When the group was in Iraq, families used to travel there to hold sit-ins in front of the gates of Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty.

However, they were never allowed by the MEK leaders to visit their loved ones. Through loudspeakers they called the names of their children and asked them to leave the group. This was the slightest chance to show their love to their loved ones who are mentally and physically barred from the outside world by the Rajavis. And this action worked in many cases. Several members of the cult eventually left the group during the next years. Their process of defection from the Cult of Rajavi had started after they had heard their names cried by their suffering family members through loudspeakers.

Today, far from the Iranian border, members of the MEK are still isolated in the group’s headquarters called Ashraf 3, in Manez, a village in north of the Albanian capital, Tirana. Families are not granted visa to travel to Albania due to the group’s corrupted links in the Albanian government. Thus, they must use every opportunity to make the international human rights bodies hear their voice for help.

Yesterday’s sit-in by the heart-broken parents and grieving brothers and sisters of the MEK hostages in front of the office of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Tehran was another step forward. They demanded the authorities to step in and aid them to contact and visit their beloved family members taken as hostages by the MEK leaders.

Nejat Society has a complement in Albania. ASILA, the Association for the support of Iranians Living in Albania is somehow a branch of Nejat in Albania. ASILA was established by some of the Albanian citizens and former members of the MEK who previously left the group in Albania. On May, 8th, 2023, they also gathered in front of the ICRC’s office in Tirana.

Carrying placards and pictures of their loved ones and their friends, members of Nejat and ASILA asked the authorities of the ICRC to take immediate action to stop violation of human rights against members of the MEK, hostages of Massoud and Maryam Rajavi.

Their demands include the followings:
They should be granted the right to contact and visit their loved ones in the MEK.
The right of MEK members to take asylum should be observed by the Albanian government.
The MEK leaders should be compelled to stop violating the human rights of their members.

The mother of Taymaz Vahedi a hostage of the Mujahedin-e Khalq calls on the international community to aid the release of her son from the group.

In 2001, Taymaz was a young boy when he was smuggled to Iraq by the MEK recruiters. He had gone to Turkey to work in the hope of building a better life but he fell into the trap of the MEK as well as a large number of other Iranian youth in Turkey, during those years.

Since then, Taymaz has not contacted his family any more. His family only got to know about him from defectors of the MEK. His mother is very sick now but at least she knows that her son is alive and resides in Albania. She has been looking forward to see his son or at least hear his voice on phone during the 22 past years.
The Vahedis have so far sent several letters to the international human rights bodies and the Albanian authorities calling for investigations on the violation of the most basic human rights of members inside the cult-like group of Maryam Rajavi.

Human rights bodies, the International community and the Albanian authorities should provide the conditions for Taymaz to contact his languishing mother so that she –who has longed to hear her child’s voice for more than two decades– can achieve her desire.
