The event was opened by Ella Deda’s speech. In her opening speech, she spoke about the importance of the realization of the documentary “Aldo in Iran”, and presented the theme and atmosphere of the novel “The Last Secret”.

After the ceremony, the author and director of the film, Aldo Sollullari, entered the hall amidst applause and a warm welcome from those present.

Then, Aldo Sollullari gave his speech on the experience of traveling to Iran, the process of making the documentary and the motivation for writing the novel “The Last Secret”. He also spoke about the importance of telling human experiences and untold stories that are rarely heard.

After the speech, the screening of the documentary “Aldo in Iran” began. The documentary, which dealt with the issue of immigration, the life of members of the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK) organization and the experience of traveling to Iran of an Albanian citizen, attracted the attention and appreciation of the audience.

A short break took place in the middle of the program, during which interviews were conducted with Albanian participants, as well as conversations for the media and television networks.

After  the film screening, two of the Iranians present at the ceremony,  Khalil Ansarian and Hasan Shahbaz, former members of the MEK shared their thoughts and feelings on Aldo’s documentary.

At the end of the ceremony, copies of the novel “The Last Secret” were distributed to the participants and the guests participated in the special commemorative photo section.

Thanking all the guests, media and participants, Nejat Society Albania expresses the hope that the organization of such events will create opportunities for the expansion of cultural, artistic and human exchanges between peoples.

About 30 Albanian citizens and all members of the association participated in this program. Defectors of the MEK, those who had been kept away from family, society and human connections for many years, freely laughed, danced and experienced moments full of joy and hope alongside the Albanian people. The warm presence of the people of Tirana showed that people can return to society and start a new life, regardless of their bitter past.

The event was held in a very positive, warm and happy atmosphere. During the program, traditional Albanian and Iranian dances were performed, songs were sung and fun activities were organized that created beautiful moments of friendship and cultural exchange between all participants.

During the activity, food and drinks were served to the participants, while interviews and interactions from the participants and citizens present in the area were also conducted.

While celebrating Family Day, Nejat Society Albania emphasizes the importance of family, freedom of human communication and the right of every person to live alongside society and their loved ones.

The book “The Last Secret” is also a psychological and thrilling novel that tells a shocking and terrifying story inspired by hidden networks of abuse and human trafficking at the levels of power.

At this event, the author of the book and the documentary maker will talk about the experience of traveling to Iran, the process of making the film and writing the book.

Ladies and gentlemen, friends and participants of this conference,

It is a great honor for me to speak today, on the World Day of Social Justice, on a topic that touches the very essence of human dignity: human rights, social protection and legal responsibility towards the most vulnerable members of society, especially refugees and Iranian citizens defected from the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK) Organization, who have been deprived of their fundamental rights for years.

This day is not just a symbolic date on the calendar; it is a collective reminder that societies are measured not by economic or political power, but by how they treat their most vulnerable people.

Social welfare is not a privilege; it is a fundamental human right. The concept of social protection emerged from the historical need to ensure that no one is left outside the human protection system. After World War II, the international community understood that without social justice, lasting peace is not possible.

Social protection includes:

-Minimum economic security

-Access to health services

-Right to legal identity

-Protection from abuse and exploitation

-Social and legal integration

But above all, it expresses the recognition of the value of each person as a human being. Human rights are not privileges granted by governments. Human rights are born with the very existence of man. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights established the following principles:

-Every human being has the right to be free.

-Every human being has the right to think and choose.

-No one should be subjected to inhuman treatment.

-No one should be separated from family or community.

When these principles are violated, it is not just a legal problem; it is a moral crisis. Refugees are among the most vulnerable groups. International law requires states not to return people to countries where they are in danger, to guarantee legal identity, to provide access to justice, and to protect their physical and mental health.

The Geneva Conventions set a clear standard: protecting the human person is above any political interest.

But the real problem is not the absence of law; it is its implementation. The situation that many Iranian citizens who have separated from the MEK have experienced in this organization includes social isolation, restrictions on personal freedom, prohibitions on contact with family, psychological pressure, loss of personal identity.

After the separation, many were left without legal documents, economic support, full access to the legal system, or a public voice. This situation requires concrete legal solutions, not just human sympathy. The law is there to protect the individual from the abuse of power, whether it be state or organizational.

When an organization restricts individual freedoms, these legal questions arise:

– Has individual autonomy been respected?

– Has psychological coercion been used?

– Have family rights been violated?

– Has freedom of choice been restricted?

If the answer is yes, we are facing a serious violation of international human rights standards.

Leaving the closed structure is not the end of the problems. People who leave face:

-Psychological trauma

-Social distrust

-Economic problems

-Cultural isolation

Social support should include:

-Psychological rehabilitation

-Legal assistance

-Education and skills training

-Social support

Society should not only save people from injustice; it should also help them rebuild their lives.

The mission of Nejat Society Albania is not political; it is humanitarian.

Its objectives:

-Defense of fundamental rights of individuals

-Legal aid

-Reestablishment of family ties

-Social and professional integration

In practice, it means giving back to the most important thing to man: his voice.

The global challenges that stand in the way of this path are: mass migration, ideological conflicts, psychological control and disinformation. The law must evolve to protect the individual not only from physical violence, but also from psychological and social control. And the main tasks of governments are:

-Preventing violations of rights

-Protecting victims

-Reintegrating individuals into society

Without these three pillars, social protection is just a theory. Silence in the face of injustice is not neutrality; it is complicity with it.

Conclusion:

Every era is judged by how it treats the powerless. If we want a just society, we must protect the most voiceless. Social protection is not politics; it is humanity in action.

On Friday, September 12, 2025, the Nejat Society Albania organized a grand social gathering in the central square of the city of Tehran under the title “Albanian Dignity”.

In this activity, which was accompanied by the distribution of brochures and friendly conversations, citizens participated with great enthusiasm and showed once again that the voice of justice never dies.

This symbolic action was a clear response to the years of oppression and crimes of the People’s Mujahedin organization against the Iranian people; especially to the mothers who wait with a sad heart to see their children, spending their days and nights with longing and pain.

These mothers are a symbol of resistance and love, and their call for justice will never be forgotten by history.
The leaders of this organization have recently, with insulting and inappropriate words, called Albanians “poor”; but this people, with dignity and pride, stood firm in the face of this insult and showed that no humiliation can harm the pride of Albanians.

Nejat Society Albania throughout the world and the path of reunification of fathers, mothers and children in the Manza camp becomes closer.

We believe that no wall can divide the love between families and their relatives.

The “Butterfly,” the symbol of freedom and transformation, was not chosen by chance. Like the butterfly emerging from its cocoon, many of the former MEK members have emerged from the darkness of manipulation and isolation, to finally find light and free air in Albania.

Through the images on display, viewers travel through painful realities: faces without smiles, eyes that speak of hopelessness, gloomy environments and constant checks. But at the same time, the gallery also offers glimpses of rebirth – people who today walk freely, who smile with their families, who say their names and identities out loud. They are former members of the MEK.

The cartoons, with their sharp pen and subtle irony, strike at the closed system of the MEK. They reveal the absurdity of life under command, where free thought was forbidden, and love for family was considered treason. One particularly poignant cartoon shows a member of the organization trying to embrace the shadow of his mother behind an iron curtain. It is a metaphor for the lost years, for the longing that was never heard, and for the fundamental right to love.

This gallery is not just an art exhibition. It is an act of remembrance. It is a voice for those who have been silenced for years. It is an invitation to reflection for all of us – to understand how precious freedom is and how quickly it can be taken away when we lose the right to choose our own lives.

On behalf of the Nejat Society Albania and in solidarity with all those who have suffered under the MEK’s oppression, this gallery remains a window of hope and courage. Because every butterfly that rises above the earth is a soul that has regained freedom.

The conference, which had been advertised the day before by distributing brochures by Albanian members of Nejat Society, was attended by about a hundred Albanian women and mothers.

At the entrance to the conference venue, photos, cartoons, and letters from languishing mothers were attracting attention. The conference began at 9:30 a.m. welcoming the participants, with the presence of three Albanian TV stations and about a hundred female participants.

An Albanian mother supporting mothers in Iran, a psychologist and the head of the Intellectual Women’s Association, and Khalil Ansarian former member of the MEK were the speakers of the event.

Also, in a live video call from two locations in Iran, Alavian from Khuzestan and Leila Ghasemi from Zanjan presented the families’ requests and humanitarian needs to the audience.

The conference ended with questions and answers from the audience. The participants also signed a petition to aid the families with contacting their loved ones taken as hostages at the MEK’s camp, Ashraf 3, in Manez, Albania.

The demonstration, which took place right in front of the municipality of Durres lasted for an hour. Albanian mothers who are members of Nejat Society Albania distributed flyers to the public to enlighten them about the MEK’s inhumane actions, including not allowing mothers to visit their loved ones, not even receiving letters, opposing the Red Cross in this regard.
The flyers read: “Dear people of Durres! Unfortunately, the group that has occupied part of your city has ruthlessly deprived all its members of basic human rights. One of these rights is the right to contact their families. We have a large number of letters that need to be delivered to them. Please help us in this noble and blessed work by kindly and vigilantly transferring these paper butterflies between families and their loved ones in the MEK, because family is the most precious thing in the world.”

During the rally, Nejat Society Albania also read a statement addressing the Albanian government:
“The honorable Albanian government,
We, former members of the MEK, sympathetically declare that the organization we were once members of is far from human rights, democracy, and humanity. For this reason, its presence in every country has always been accompanied by tension. The group has only been able to cooperate and accompany with a dictatorial host like Saddam Hussein.”

Nejat Society Albania warned the Albanian government and citizens that The MEK’s independent presence in Albania running a dangerous group independently from the Albanian government and isolated from the Albanian society with its own laws is certainly a terrible blow to the freedoms stipulated in Albanian laws.

The demonstrators demanded the government to treat the MEK members like all refugees in all European countries so that their trapped members enjoy the minimum freedoms of a human being today. According to them, the MEK’s independent and controlled base inside Albania is not only meaningless and annoying, but also contrary to the interests of the government and people of Albania.

On Saturday, March 8, 2025, Iranian and Albanian members of Nejat Society Albania tried to enlighten Albanian citizens about the MEK by presenting flowers to female citizens, holding a photo and poster exhibition, and distributing brochures about the violations of women’s rights in the MEK’s camp known as Ashraf 3, located in the remote village of Manz, north of Tirana.

Hamid Atabay, an activist of Nejat Society Albani, while celebrating International Women’s Day, explains that the purpose of holding the photo exhibition is to enlighten the audience on what is happening to women in the MEK camp. Bijar Rahimi speaks about the forced hijab and the deprivation of the right to marry and have children for female members of the MEK. According to these two former members of the MEK, women in this group do not have the slightest freedom.

Also, Ella Deda, Eltisa Billo, and Aldo Solullari explain to their compatriots about the nature of the MEK organization, its history, and its terrorist and cult-like activities.
