In response to the action of a number of members of the Italian parliament in hosting the ringleader of the Mojahedin-e Khalq (MeK) terrorist group, The Families of Iranian Victims of Terrorism issued a statement expressing their protest against this inhuman act.

The statement reads as follows:
It was heart-wrenching for us as the Families of Iranian Victims of Terrorism to hear that the ringleader a terrorist group, which is responsible for the assassination and murder of thousands of Iranian citizens including our relatives, was hosted by a number of members of the Italian parliament. This group, whose ringleader was hosted by some Italian parliament members, has a long history in promoting hatred and violence as well as doing criminal and terrorist acts such as suicide terrorism according to numerous international documents.

As mentioned in recent international reports on the MEK, this group has been actively involved in lobbying political figures in different countries to gain their support by offering exorbitant sums of money. The group’s horrible historical background in murdering thousands of Iranian and hundreds of Iraqi citizens are self-evident truths which must forbid anyone to support this notorious group. One can say, therefore, that those who back this hated terrorist group are either unaware of its history or they have received hefty sums.

The statements of Mr. Antonio Tajani, the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, in reaction to the invitation of the MEK’ ringleader, where he said, “We are in a democracy and everyone does what they thing is right.”, is an irrational justification! How is it possible that a terrorist group and its leader are invited to a country and senior official of that country call this act democratic! If a terrorist group committed these crimes against one of the EU countries, would this so-called Italian democracy still allow MPs to invite the group’s leader to their country and also authorize Mr. Tajani to make such irrational statements?

We expect the Italian parliament members to hear the voice of Iranian terror victims and prepare the ground for the realization of their rights and prosecuting the murderers of their beloved ones, instead of supporting the terrorists in promotion of hatred and violence. Also, the Italian government should address its security responsibilities regarding terrorist groups and regard the risks and consequences of supporting terrorism.

At the end, we express our gratitude to the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for fulfilling its commitment toward the Families of Terror Victims and summoning of the Italian ambassador in Tehran over the hosting of terrorists. We, also, ask the Iranian diplomatic and judicial bodies to strengthen their efforts in extraditing elements of terrorist groups and make the Western governments accountable for supporting these groups.

Open letter to Italian ex FM

Dear Mr. Terzi,<img alt=""src="https://st.nejatngo.org/Image/Persons/Rastgou/Rastgou_Terzi_Italy.jpg"style="width: 340px; height: 182px; margin: 10px; float: right;"/>

In your interview with “Il garantista” from 6/17/2015 the “National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)” is described as a “coalition of Iranian organizations, groups and Democrats residing abroad”.

Accurate would be to designate the NCRI as a political arm of the People’s Mojahedin “Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK / MKO / PMOI)”. Although after its foundation in 1981 in addition to Abulhassan Bani Sadr, a former president of the Islamic Republic, also the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (DPKI), followers of Mohammad Mosaddeq founded National Democratic Front and various Stalinist groups joined the NCRI, but in 1982 Bani Sadr already left the NCRI. Like him many other groups not being satisfied with the absolute leadership style of Rajavi and the dominance of the MEK in the NCRI, followed him till the 1984th.

Furthermore, it is said, the NCRI combines “representatives of ethnic and religious minorities, such as Kurds, Baluchis, Jews and Zoroastrians “.

Also in the Iranian parliament, according to the Constitution of the Islamic Republic, there are reserved five seats for representatives of religious minorities. Even Article 13 of the Constitution recognizes Iranian citizens of Zoroastrian, Jewish and Christian faith officially as religious minorities, who determine their personal status and religious education even after the corresponding own religious rules. Should we therefore call the Islamic Republic as a prime example of religious freedom and democracy?

What matters is how this apparent openness for minorities and other opinions and ways of life is implemented in reality.

Mr. Terzi, in the interview, you talk about the demand of young Iranians “… for more freedom in the school, in information, in everyday life …” But can such a claim at all to be implemented by an organization that keeps its members under strict supervision in the camps since decades, prohibiting them from access to information and independent media, controlling and directing all social contacts?

You point out, the fight against the Islamic State is “hopeless” when Islamic fundamentalism will further be “fueled by Tehran”. The “Shiite sectarianism” be the “trigger” for the “radicalization of large parts of the Sunni world.”

How can you seriously believe that an organization with such a strong personality cult around its leaders Massoud and Maryam Rajavi and such cultish structures based on a radical indoctrination of its members against all dissenters could make a contribution to the pacification of this regional and religious powder keg? An organization that has always been calling on Iranian people to rise up and overthrow the regime, only to take itself to power as a “transitional government”.

So worthy of support the demand for the inclusion of other refugees from Camp Liberty in Italy may be, you should look carefully whether the organization you designate “…The only solution for the future of Iran…”, can deliver what it promises, or whether the many dropouts and critics, human rights organizations and aid workers as well as nearly all those who have taken a critical look with the MEK apart, are right when they accuse the organizations cultish structures, the leader cult , indoctrination and oppression up to the ill-treatment of members, foreclosure of the world and reality, and a very idiosyncratic understanding of democracy.

You cannot fight the fact that you support an organization with a more radical and more fundamental ideology of fundamentalism and radicalism.

You cannot fight terrorism and bloodshed, by supporting an organization that has been practicing this for many years and still takes the view, “liberation” of Iran can only be possible through a (violent) overthrow of the government.

As nice as moderate and western-democratic the facade of the MEK may seem, viewing behind the facade reveals its true face fast!

Best regards,

The President of the Chamber of Deputies of Italy

Dear Madam,

Nejat Society is an NGO consisting of the former members of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO, <img alt=""src="https://st.nejatngo.org/Image/Politician/Italy/Laura_Boldrini_L.jpg"style="width: 300px; height: 125px; margin: 10px; float: right;"/>MEK) and the families of present members trapped in Iraq in the hands of Massoud Rajavi.

As you are aware a 10-member delegation, headed by co-chairman of Iran-Italy parliamentary friendship group Ettore Rosato, arrived in Tehran on Saturday morning for a four-day visit.

Amongst the members of the delegation were some who signed petitions in favor of MKO to condemn the Islamic Republic of Iran and to support Massoud and Maryam Rajavi.

We requested the members of the delegation to visit the members of our society and the victims of this mind control destructive cult, but they refused to do so.

If these parliamentarians claim that they work for Human Rights, Freedom and Justice, and yet openly support the MKO; it would have been a fare policy to listen to the victims of the MKO who have suffered from the violation of Human Rights inside the organization.

The aim of Nejat Society to request visiting the Italian members of parliament was merely to find a way to rescue the members in Iraq and try to put them in contact with their families in Iran.

Surprisingly, they support a terrorist organization under the name of defending human rights, but they refuse to listen to the victims of this terrorist organization.

Yours faithfully

Mr. Franco Frattini Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Italy

We were disappointed to hear about Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s visit with many of members of <img hspace="10"alt=""vspace="10"align="right"src="https://st.nejatngo.org/Image/Politician/Frattini/Franko_Frattini_Italy_FM.jpg"/>Parliament in Rome, July 29, 2009. As you are well aware, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi is the leader of a cult terrorist organization called Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MEK, MKO). National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) is a cover name for this organization.

We think, Italian Government must not permit the wastage of its diplomatic credit through gestures which do not serve the cause of democracy and undermines the coherence of Italy’s policy. Because Maryam Rajavi is a leader of sect and terrorist Organization.

Respectfully, we would like to acknowledge that the Iranian Pen Club is consisted of those ex-members of the MKO who managed to free themselves from the mental and even physical barriers of the Organisation. The main object of the Association is of course to try to help the previous comrades in such way that they be able to free themselves too and start a decent normal life again along with their families and beloved ones.

we are sure that Mrs. Rajavi try to appear as leader of a peaceful movement but her movement , is a cover up for the MKO, a Cult which practiced forced marriage and now practices forced divorce, separation of children from parents, gender apartheid, imprisonment for criticizing leaders or even the leaders’ strategy. Victims inside the MEK have been sent to Abu Ghraib prison. Extrajudicial punishments include torture, death under torture, long term imprisonment in solitary confinement and sentencing to execution – not carried out by express order of Massoud Rajavi. The Human Rights Watch report of May 2005 ‘No Exit’, details only a small sample of such human rights abuses carried out systematically inside the Mojahedin. Former members will bear witness that none of the articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights are practiced inside the MEK organization.

We think the MKO in Iraq is finished, especially after the fall of Saddam Hussein and his government. The Iraqi Government wants to assert its sovereignty, regain its property, the garrison, and they do not want to keep those people on their soil who cooperated fully with Saddam Hussein against their people. So now we should ask ‘why do the leaders of a cult terrorist organization want to keep the Ashraf,s garrison?

We have enclosed a small sample of the evidence which has already been made public concerning the MKO. The charges against the MKO and in particular its leaders include but are not limited to: crimes against humanity and war crimes inside and outside Iran.

With many thanks and regards
