Jordanian informed sources confirmed that the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO, a.k.a. <img alt="MKO seeking to camp in Jordan"src="https://st.nejatngo.org/Image/MEK/Ashraf_Camp/Camp_Ashraf_5.jpg"style="width: 300px; height: 203px; margin: 10px; float: right;"/>MEK and NCRI) has called on the Jordanian government to let the group camp inside the Arab country.

According to Habilian, informed sources in the Jordan’s parliament was quoted by Erem News Agency yesterday as saying that MKO has urged the Jordanian government, through a number of Parliamentarians, to permit the group to erect a camp in the deserts of this country.

“MKO has proposed to carry out the relocation of individuals from Camp Liberty in several groups,” the sources said, adding that MKO has also offered to pay all the costs of relocation as well as all the costs associated with building a camp providing Jordanian security forces.

In response, they have promised to give the camp to the government of Jordan with all facilities.

Earlier in 2012, Maryam Rajavi struggled to persuade the US officials to let them establish a camp at Jordan borders. Then, the official sources in Jordan announced that the country’s interior ministry has voiced firm opposition to the establishment of a camp to shelter the members of the anti-Iran terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) along their borders.

A number of Jordanian parliamentarians and political figures stated that they have refused to attend the annual conference of the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO, a.k.a. MEK).<img alt=""src="https://st.nejatngo.org/Image/Flag/Jordan_Mek_terrorism.jpg"style="width: 240px; height: 170px; margin: 10px; float: right;"/>

According to a report by the Arabic language newspaper al-Arab al-Yawm, a number of Jordanian members of Parliament have turned down invitation to the annual gathering of MKO in Villepinte, due to the presence of some Syrian opposition members.

The oral statement adds that the Syrian government opposition is performing the Western countries’ anti-Arab programs targeting the unity of this country.

Former deputy speaker of Jordanian Parliament, Nariman al-Rousan, said “we’ve informed the MKO that due to inviting the Syrian opposition members, we have boycotted this year’s annual conference of them.”

She said the boycott is because they cannot ignore Syria and the support for its unity and Army, adding that some members of the Syrian opposition who were executor of the foreign plans aimed at dismantling the unity of Syria were among the attendees of this conference.

The event, held annually by the terrorist MKO group, is intended to celebrate the anniversary of MKO’s armed struggle against Iranian civilians in June 1981. The group-let claims that tens of thousands of Iranians attend the Villepinte gathering from across Europe.

Amman – Jordan reported here today the country’s categorical rejection of a suggestion by the Iranian opposition group based in Camp Ashraf in Iraq to build a camp on<img width="200"vspace="10"hspace="10"height="142"align="right"src="https://st.nejatngo.org/Image/Flag/Jordan_Mek_terrorism.jpg"alt="Jordan confirms rejection of building a camp for MEK to its territory"/> Jordanian territory until they move to other countries.

A source in the Interior Ministry told Al Arab alyawm newspaper today that Jordan refused to agree the setting up of a camp "for the Iranian opposition, or any other opposition. Jordan is committed to its obligation that it should not interfere in the affairs of other countries."

The source denied that Jordan was to have any discussions with any party for the construction of an Iranian refugee camp or reception of refugees.

According to the newspaper, the Interior Ministry of Jordan was responding to a statement issued by National Council of Resistance of Iran (aka; Mojahedin Khalq, MKO, MEK, PMOI) which said that the organisation (MKO) proposed to the U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton not to transfer around 3000 residents from Camp Ashraf to Camp Liberty, near Baghdad.

They had proposed to be given residence on a temporary basis in the border area near Jordan under the supervision of the Red Cross and the High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) at their own expense in an area which the Red Cross and the United Nations used during the Iraq war in 2003 where tents housed tens of thousands of asylum seekers fleeing the war…

Iran – following the collapse of the camp Ashraf, which was based for many years in Iraq to bring members of the "People’s Mojahedin Organization" (hypocrites) together, the leaders of the terrorist organization, are thinking of transition from Iraq to another Arab country.
<img hspace="10"alt="MKO Begged Jordan to accept it !"vspace="10"align="left"src="https://st.nejatngo.org/Image/Flag/Jordan_Mek_terrorism.jpg"/>
"The People’s Mojahedin Organization", which was the active intelligence and operational arm of the defunct regime of Saddam, during the eight-year war imposed by Saddam against Iran, after the fall of the Baathist regime in Iraq were rounded up at camp Ashraf near Baghdad. Although the U.S. supported this terrorist organization as a means of exerting pressure on Iran, the Iraqi government, which accuses members of the terrorist organization guilty of criminal practices against Iraqi citizens have always been willing to get rid of the armed terrorist organization on its territory until the recent clashes that took place at Camp Ashraf where this terrorist base received a fatal blow, and now the leaders of the organization know very well that Iraq cannot be a safe place for their unsecure presence.

Consequently, Maryam Rajavi has recently traveled to Jordan to take permission from the Jordanian authorities and demand the officials of the country to accept the members of the MKO in Jordan.

Although there is no information on the details of the talks and Jordanians’ response to the terrorists, some political observers believe that the United States does not seem unwilling to transfer the headquarters of the MKO from Iraq to Jordan, because under the current circumstances, the United States itself and the European countries and the States bordering Persian Gulf do not want to move the headquarters into their territory, but Jordanian government, which remained loyal to Saddam until the last moments of his life as well as its absolute obedience to the United States, is the appropriate option to receive the members of this terrorist organization in its territory.

One of the concessions made by the MKO to the Jordanian authorities, is that this organization has a great operational and intelligence experience so it is able to assist the government and the security services in case of intensive presence of the Palestinians in Jordan (something that authorities of Jordan are not pleased with);it could act when it is necessary like the role it played in suppression of the Iraqi people uprising in 1991. Besides, considering the rapprochement between Jordan and Israel MKOwould serve them with its intelligence on Iran.

This point was noted last year by a group of MKO members during a meeting with a U.S. general in Iraq and the terrorist organization announced that if the United States was able to convince the government of Jordan to receive the organization’s members, they would not hesitate to cooperate with Israel to have paid the cost of their move to Jordan .

As MKO is despised by the people of Iran and isolated in Camp Ashraf and has lost of many of its troops, of course, will not be able to carry out such practices, but seeks to show itself as strong to convince Jordanians that it could be useful for them.

On the other hand, to stay safe from the reach of Iran and the Iraqi government – because it is accused by the two countries to carry out terrorist operations –MKO needs to gain Jordan’s support after the death of its former supporter and Jordan is betting on them as a political and intelligence tool.

Of course, in the light of the dwindling force of this failed terrorist organization, if the Jordanians, commit a terrible mistake and accept MKO members, they will not receive any benefit and but the ground of "insecurity" in their country will increase significantly.

After months of the arrival of the government of Nuri al-Maliki in Iraq, a number of Iraqi tribal leaders visited him and discussing various issues they raised the case of MKO existence in Iraq and noted that the organization is in charge of direct and indirect killing of a large number of both clans in an uprising in 1991 or what happened afterwards.

At this meeting, one of the tribal leaders said:” We want revenge for our dear ones and justice for the killers, but we consider that your Government is our Government, we will not intervene in the issue directly, we invite you to either of these options : to expel them from Iraq in order not to bear the responsibility their fate. We bust our order with them anywhere in the world, in addition to our enemies that we will know with the new host is found to the murderers of our children.

Now the choice for Jordanian government may be to accept existence of the terrorist organization to strain relations with Iran and the high ground where the lack of security, or will it act with tact and work like the rest of the Arab countries in order to avoid engaging in these dangerous and costly game.

The only"benefit"that Jordan reaps from the participation of MPs in the MKO's activities is straining relations with Tehran without any reason and laying obstacles to developing relations between the two countries. We are not saying this in order to defend the positions of Iran, but we are saying it out of concern for Jordan's interests. Had the disagreement with Iran been over principled issues, we would have blessed the positions of MPs and pressed on their hands in confronting Iran. However, we are faced with political (and not personal) positions, which are against Jordan and of which Jordan is innocent. What does more injustice to Jordan than this?

Jordanian MPs advised not to attend Iranian opposition conference in France

Text of report by Jordanian newspaper Al-Dustur on 7 December

Article by Dr Nabil al-Sharif: "This Is Not How Jordan’s Interests Are Served"

A number of members of the House of Representatives plan to accept the invitation of the organization Friends of Iran Committee at the EU to attend a conference that will be held in France to support the Iranian opposition Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization [MKO]. Maryam Rajavi, leader of the MKO, will be a key speaker at the conference.

Around 40 MPs have been invited, and a number of them will attend this conference next week. In view of this, we have the right to ask about the benefit that our country will reap from these meetings.

Some members of the House of Representatives have previously accepted the MKO’s invitation to attend its conferences in the European capitals over the past months. Following every meeting, Iran used to summon our ambassador to Iran present to him an official note of protest at some Jordanian MPs’ attendance of a conference for an organization that opposes the Iranian regime. Also every time, the government used to reply that the House of Representatives is its own master and that the participation of MPs has nothing to do with the official Jordanian position.

However, the strangest thing is that some MPs have justified their participation in these conferences, from which Jordan does not reap any benefit, by saying that it is a "personal participation." Would these invitations, whose full expenses are borne by the inviting parties, have been sent to them had they not been members of the Jordanian house of Representatives?

It is time we spoke frankly about this issue, based on the fact that a member of parliament represents the Jordanian people in everything he says and does. When 30 or 40 MPs participate in any internal or external activity, then this definitely means that there is a certain official or popular position towards the issue in question, and the participants in these activities cannot weasel out of this by saying that they are only expressing a personal position. The only "benefit" that Jordan reaps from the participation of MPs in the MKO’s activities is straining relations with Tehran without any reason and laying obstacles to developing relations between the two countries.

We are not saying this in order to defend the positions of Iran, but we are saying it out of concern for Jordan’s interests. Had the disagreement with Iran been over principled issues, we would have blessed the positions of MPs and pressed on their hands in confronting Iran. However, we are faced with political (and not personal) positions, which are against Jordan and of which Jordan is innocent. What does more injustice to Jordan than this?

We continue to count on the wisdom of MPs and their loyalty, which we do not question, to Jordan’s interests. It is unreasonable that we should allow external parties, whatever their agendas, to infiltrate inside our parliament and to achieve their political objectives. The interest of Jordan should be our yardstick in everything we say or do.

No change in Jordan’s position towards MKO: Jordanian official Amman

Jordan’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Nassar Habashneh has affirmed that there was no change in Amman’s position towards the terrorist Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO).

Speaking to Jordan’s News Agency (Petra) on Saturday night, Habashneh said Amman’s commitment to deal with "legitimate authorities."

"Jordan adheres to its clear position in dealing with the legitimate authorities as a general principle that governs Jordan’s relations with world countries," said the spokesman.

He added that participation of some of the Jordanians in MKO’s conferences "comes on an individual basis" and "does not reflect Jordan’s official position."

Habashneh said that Jordan had previously made it clear to Iranian officials on a number of occasions that it had no contacts with the terrorist organization.

"The foreign minister clarified this position to his Iranian counterpart during their meeting on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Movement Conference, which was recently held in Tehran," Habashneh said.

The spokesman reiterated Jordan’s willingness "to maintain good relations with the Iran and promote them for the interest of both countries."

Jordan rejects any connection with Mojahedin Khalq gathering Reported by: BBC Monitoring Middle East Text of report by Jordanian newspaper Al-Arab al-Yawm on 30 June [Report by Walid Husni: "Twelve MPs Are Among 33 Jordanians Attending Mojahedin-e Khalq’s Conference in France"]

Engineer Abd-al-Hadi al-Majali, speaker of the House of Representatives, has<img hspace="10"alt=""vspace="10"align="right"src="https://st.nejatngo.org/Image/Flag/Jordan.jpg"/> denied that the House has anything to do with the participation of 12 MPs in the conference of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization in France. The conference is expected to conclude its meetings today, Monday, 30 June.

In press statements yesterday, Al-Majali said: The House has nothing to do with the participation of the MPs in that conference. None of the MPs has consulted with the House, or its standing bureau, or has even spoken with me about that participation.

Al-Majali said that the participation of the MPs was in response to personal invitations and that each MP who attended the conference only represents himself, and does not represent the House of Representatives. He added: "I have no knowledge of that participation and I do not know the names of the attending MPs, who only represent themselves, and do not represent the Jordanian House of Representatives."

Twelve MPs were among 33 Jordanian figures who left Amman for the French capital, Paris, last Thursday to participate in a conference held by the Iranian opposition organization Mojahedin-e Khalq, led by Maryam Rajavi, who delivered a speech at the opening of the conference the day before yesterday. In her speech, Rajavi called for removing the organization’s name from the list of terrorist organizations, like the decision made by Britain last week, while the State Department’s list of terrorist organizations still includes Mojahedin-e Khalq among global terrorist organizations.

It is said that the participants in the conference include MPs Mamduh al-Abbadi, Nariman al-Rusan, Muhammad Abu-Hudayb, Fakhri Iskandar, Abdallah al-Gharayibah, Muflih al-Ruhaymi, Ahmad Dandan al-Utum, and Ibrahim al-Umush. The conference will conclude its meetings in a north Paris district today. The Jordanian delegation, which includes political, media, and party figures, will return to Amman this evening.
