{"id":12850,"date":"2021-06-13T14:04:02","date_gmt":"2021-06-13T09:34:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/?p=12850"},"modified":"2021-06-13T14:06:45","modified_gmt":"2021-06-13T09:36:45","slug":"norwegian-institute-mko-hardly-ever-has-support-in-iran","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/posts\/12850","title":{"rendered":"Norwegian institute: MKO hardly ever has support in Iran"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Norwegian institute published a paper on the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (the MKO\/ MEK\/ PMOI\/ Cult of Rajavi).<br \/>\nLandinfo, the Norwegian Institute published a 45-page study on the MKO as \u201ca left-wing opposition group established in 1965, that has been fighting the Iranian Islamic Republic since shortly after the revolution\u201d.<br \/>\nLandinfo is an institute that publishes detailed and unbiased documents on immigrants from Africa, Asia, Balkans and Eastern Europe, Latin America, Middle east and Turkey, Russia and Former Soviet Republics. The publications are prepared for the Norwegian Immigration Authorities.<\/p>\n<p>According to the abstract of the paper the MKO \u201chas undergone significant changes, both in terms of organization and strategic approach, but has stuck to its main goal of regime change in Iran\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12851 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/Landinfo-MEK-1.jpg\" alt=\"Land info\" width=\"800\" height=\"531\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/Landinfo-MEK-1.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/Landinfo-MEK-1-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/Landinfo-MEK-1-768x510.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Giving a thorough record of the group\u2019s background, the report asserts that the group carried out a series of armed attacks in Iran in the past and today it seems \u201cto have concentrated its efforts on influencing public opinion and on gaining international support as a viable alternative to the current regime.
