{"id":12934,"date":"2021-06-29T09:37:11","date_gmt":"2021-06-29T05:07:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/?p=12934"},"modified":"2021-06-29T09:37:11","modified_gmt":"2021-06-29T05:07:11","slug":"pmfs-parade-in-the-meks-beloved-camp-ashraf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/posts\/12934","title":{"rendered":"PMF\u2019s parade in the MEK\u2019s beloved Camp Ashraf"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Iraq\u2019s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), also called Hashd al-Shaabi, held a parade in Camp Ashraf, the longtime headquarters of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO\/ MEK\/ PMOI\/ Cult of Rajvi) in Iraq.<br \/>\nCamp Ashraf in northwest of Baghdad was donated to MEK by Saddam Hussein the group\u2019s major financial and military sponsor. It was the group\u2019s main base in the eight years of the war Saddam Hussein imposed on Iran. And, it was there that Massoud Rajavi built his cult of personality, practiced cut-like activities, trained terrorist forces, launched attacks against Iranian country fellowmen and punished his own dissident members.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12935 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/Ashraf_20120217_4-1.jpg\" alt=\"Camp Ashraf evacuation in 20210217\" width=\"300\" height=\"202\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After the collapse of the Iraqi dictator in 2003, the US army surrounded the camp and disarmed MEK forces. An image of Abu Madhi al-Muhandis, the PMF commander killed alongside Iran\u2019s General Qasem Soleimani in a US drone strike in Baghdad in January 2020, was carried in the parade.<br \/>\nCamp Ashraf was a symbolic container for the ideology of MEK.
