{"id":13305,"date":"2021-09-23T08:02:43","date_gmt":"2021-09-23T04:32:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/?p=13305"},"modified":"2021-09-23T13:10:45","modified_gmt":"2021-09-23T09:40:45","slug":"srafaraz-rahimi-officially-declared-his-defection-from-the-mujahedin-khalq-organization","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/posts\/13305","title":{"rendered":"Srafaraz Rahimi officially declared his defection from the Mujahedin Khalq Organization"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In 2002, Sarfaraz was a young boy from Zahedan (a city in East of Iran) seeking to immigrate to Europe in hope of a better life. \u201cA human trafficker took me to Pakistan and introduced me to a man named Farid,\u201d Sarfaraz recounts his story with the MEK. \u201cHe told me that Farid would take me to Sweden.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, Farid took Sarfaraz to Iraq. \u201cIn Iraq, they took us to camp Ashraf where I found out that I would never go to Europe,\u201d Sarfaraz says. \u201cThis was a trap made by the MEK to recruit more members.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_13306\" style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-13306\" class=\"wp-image-13306 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/Rahimi-Sarfaraz-1.jpg\" alt=\"Srafaraz Rahimi \" width=\"600\" height=\"319\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/Rahimi-Sarfaraz-1.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/Rahimi-Sarfaraz-1-300x160.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-13306\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Srafaraz Rahimi<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The brainwashing system of the Cult of Rajavi coerced Sarfaraz to stay in Camp Ashraf for about two decades. \u201cThe group only seeks the interests of Massoud and Maryam Rajavi,\u201d he says. \u201cNeither the cause of the group and nor the forces matter to the Rajavis.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After the group was relocated in Albania in 2013, Sarfaraz Rahimi left the group but he was financially dependent on the MEK. The group had actually confiscated the monthly payment that the UN pays the refugees in the MEK\u2019s camp in Albania. This was a tool for the MEK authorities to morally abuse Sarfaraz and some other defectors of the group. The group wanted them to spy on other defectors, otherwise they were labeled as the agents of the Islamic Republic.<\/p>\n<p>Finally in August 2021, Sarfaraz cut off all links with the notorious MEK agents and publicly announced his dissociation from the group. He was welcome by other defectors of the group who live freely in Albania.
