{"id":14731,"date":"2023-01-09T15:01:42","date_gmt":"2023-01-09T11:31:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/?p=14731"},"modified":"2023-01-09T15:01:42","modified_gmt":"2023-01-09T11:31:42","slug":"erisa-rahimis-letter-to-the-albanian-border-and-migration-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/posts\/14731","title":{"rendered":"Erisa Rahimi\u2019s letter to the Albanian Border and Migration Police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Erisa Rahimi, member of the Association for the Support of Iranians Living in Albania (ASILA) wrote a letter to the director of the Albanian Border and Migration Police to demand a clear response on the case of the detained members of ASILA.<\/p>\n<p>6 members of ASILA association who are former members of the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK) have been detained in Karre\u00e7 Detention Center in the past two months. Erisa Rahimi the wife of Sarfaraz Rahimi and an Albanian member of ASILA, has penned the letter together with 4 other Albanian women who are the wives of the detained members.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_14732\" style=\"width: 710px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14732\" class=\"size-full wp-image-14732\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/Erisa-Rahimi-1.jpg\" alt=\"Erisa Rahimi\" width=\"700\" height=\"401\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/Erisa-Rahimi-1.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/Erisa-Rahimi-1-300x172.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/Erisa-Rahimi-1-585x335.jpg 585w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-14732\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Erisa Rahimi<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Erisa addresses Sajmir Boshnjaku, the director of the Albanian Border and Migration Police asking him to answer why the husbands of these women are kept in Karre\u00e7 Detention Center. \u201cIf they have committed a crime, why are they in migrants\u2019 detention center and not in prison?\u201d she asks the director. \u201cIf they are unlawful migrants, why aren\u2019t the MEK members considered this way?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Erisa Rahimi notifies that the detained citizens are 6 individuals of those 3000 MEK members who were relocated in Albania under the agreement between the Albanian government, the UNHCR, the United States and the MEK leaders. \u201cThese people left the MEK,\u201d she states. \u201cWhat especial crime are they accused of? In a word, you are violating human rights.
