He was a 20-year-old soldier in the Iran-Iraq war when he was taken as a war prisoner by Iraqi forces. He was then deceived by the MEK recruiters to join the group, in 1988.<br \/>\nFarhad has been never allowed to contact his family during these over three-decade-long separation.
