{"id":14781,"date":"2023-02-12T10:46:00","date_gmt":"2023-02-12T07:16:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/?p=14781"},"modified":"2023-02-12T10:46:00","modified_gmt":"2023-02-12T07:16:00","slug":"iran-fm-backing-mek-reveals-american-use-of-terrorism-against-iran","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/posts\/14781","title":{"rendered":"Iran FM: Backing MEK Reveals American Use of Terrorism against Iran"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Iranian foreign minister slammed a resolution that the US House of Representatives has passed in support of the terrorist Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO) as an indication of Washington\u2019s insatiable appetite for employing terrorism for the purpose of destroying Iran.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe US Congress&#8217; worthless resolution in support of Monafeghin (MKO) terror cult demonstrates, just once more, their insatiable appetite for instrumentalizing terrorism and DAESH modeled scenarios -that wrecked Syria and Iraq- for destroying Iran,\u201d Hossein Amirabdollahian said in a post on his Twitter account on Saturday.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_14782\" style=\"width: 710px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14782\" class=\"size-full wp-image-14782\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/Amir-Abdollahian-FM.jpg\" alt=\"The Iranian foreign minister; Hossein Amirabdollahian\" width=\"700\" height=\"487\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/Amir-Abdollahian-FM.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/Amir-Abdollahian-FM-300x209.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/Amir-Abdollahian-FM-585x407.jpg 585w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-14782\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Iranian foreign minister; Hossein Amirabdollahian<\/p><\/div>\n<p>His comments came after the US House introduced a resolution on February 7, expressing support for what it called the Iranian people\u2019s desire for a democratic and secular country.<\/p>\n<p>The head of the MKO terrorist group also joined a congressional press briefing at the US House after the announcement of the resolution.<\/p>\n<p>More than 17,000 Iranians, many of them civilians, have been killed at the hands of the terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO or MEK) in different acts of terrorism including bombings in public places, and targeted killings.<\/p>\n<p>The MKO &#8211; listed as a terrorist organization by much of the international community &#8211; fled Iran in 1986 for Iraq and was given a camp by former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.<\/p>\n<p>They fought on the side of Saddam during the Iraqi-imposed war on Iran (1980-88).
