Iran cannot understand why the Council of Europe should consult with a group even France and the US consider to be terrorists, Majlis speaker says. <\/span><\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the West receives its information on Iran from unreliable sources and uses it to analyze the country’s situation, Iran’s Parliament speaker, Gholam-Ali Hadad-Adel, said. <\/span><\/p>\n

“What happened in Strasbourg was a case in point, in which a terrorist organization served as a source of information for the Council of Europe,”he told the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Secretary General, Anders B. Johnsson in Switzerland. <\/span><\/p>\n

“Iran does not understand why the Council of Europe consults with a group that has been labeled ‘terrorist’ by France, the US and even the Council itself and is on the Interpol’s wanted list,”Hadad-Adel said.”Regrettably, however, the media today is controlled by people who don’t want Iran’s voice to be heard.”<\/span><\/p>\n

He then turned to the issue of resolving the Iraqi crisis and said,”The stronger a parliament, the less room for dictatorship!”<\/span><\/p>\n

“The situation in Iraq is critical, and we believe that the Inter-Parliamentary Union should take immediate action to help resolve the problems of the Iraqi nation,”he said. <\/span><\/p>\n

Gholam-Ali Hadad Adel cancelled his planned speech in Strasbourg after Maryam Rajavi, the ringleader of the terrorist Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO), addressed European lawmakers in a Council of Europe session on Monday, October 1.<\/span><\/p>\n
