{"id":3661,"date":"2011-05-03T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2011-05-03T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/2011\/05\/03\/iranian-fm-confirmed-the-remarks-on-pardoning-camp-ashraf-residents\/"},"modified":"2021-01-21T19:06:32","modified_gmt":"2021-01-21T15:36:32","slug":"iranian-fm-confirmed-the-remarks-on-pardoning-camp-ashraf-residents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/posts\/3661","title":{"rendered":"Iranian FM confirmed the remarks on pardoning Camp Ashraf residents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Iran&#8217;s Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi says the recent developments in regional countries are in line with the ideals of the Islamic Revolution. <br \/> <img vspace=\"10\"hspace=\"10\"align=\"right\"alt=\"ran's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi\"src=\"https:\/\/st.nejatngo.org\/Image\/Politician\/Iran\/Salehi_L.jpg\"\/><br \/> &ldquo;The arrogant powers had always supported and dominated dictatorships, and now that the people have risen and future governments will have democratic roots; from now on dominating regional countries will be impossible,&rdquo; Salehi said on Monday. <\/p>\n<p> In response to a question about whether Turkey has played a more effective role in regional developments compared to Iran, Salehi said each country acts within the framework of its national interests and policies. <\/p>\n<p> Salehi also confirmed the remarks of Iran&#8217;s Ambassador to Iraq Hassan Danaeifar about Tehran pardoning most of the residents of Camp Ashraf, Fars News Agency reported. <\/p>\n<p> On Sunday, Danaeifar said all of the residents of Camp Ashraf could return to Iran except for less than 100 individuals who have criminal records. <\/p>\n<p> The members of the Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) fled to Iraq in 1986, where they enjoyed the support of Saddam Hussein, and set up Camp Ashraf in Diyala Province near the Iranian border. <\/p>\n<p> The MKO has carried out numerous acts of terror and violence against Iranian civilians and government officials. <\/p>\n<p> The group is also known to have cooperated with Saddam in suppressing the 1991 uprisings in southern Iraq and the massacre of Iraqi Kurds. <\/p>\n<p> Earlier in April, Iraq&#8217;s government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh said that the cabinet is determined to shut down Camp Ashraf and disband the terrorist group.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Sunday, Danaeifar said all of the residents of Camp Ashraf could return to Iran except for less than 100 individuals who have criminal records.
