He had been imprisoned by the Iraqi forces on the early days of the Iran-Iraq war.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" width=\"600\" height=\"382\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-8863 size-full\"src=\"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/Mirzaei_Gholamali.jpg\"alt=\"Gholamali Mirzaei\"width=\"600\"height=\"382\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/Mirzaei_Gholamali.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/Mirzaei_Gholamali-300x191.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After nine years of suffering in Saddam Hussein\u2019s jail, he was deceived by the propaganda of recruiters of the MKO in Iraq.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter a while I found out that their slogans for democracy was just a cover for their lies, hypocrisy and sycophancy,\u201d he writes in his official declaration of defection. \u201cAccording to Rajavi\u2019s religion<strong> having a family was a sin<\/strong> so every day we were played away with a new cult jargon under the name of Ideological Revolution.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mirzaei was not allowed to visit his family in all those years of his imprisonment in the MKO and before that in Saddam Hussein\u2019s POW camps.<\/p>\n<p>After the relocation of the group in Albania, he could manage to find a cellphone and call his family. It was then that he realized that his family including his wife, children and his brother had come to Camp Ashraf to meet him but the MKO authorities had barred them from visiting him.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the constantly brainwashing system of the group, he decided to leave it in Albania.
