On June 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, 1998 two mortar attacks and a bombing was launched in three locations in Tehran by the MEK.<\/p>\n<p>The group\u2019s operatives attacked the Tehran General Prosecutor\u2019s Office on Shariati Avenue carrying the bomb in a handbag.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The bomb exploded in the corridor of the building killing three men including a Christian man who was the facilities engineer of the Justice department. Willholm Vigen was 52, married with two children. 21 people were injured in the attack too.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" width=\"413\" height=\"600\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-9820 size-full\"src=\"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/MKO_Terror_Ops_05031998_22.jpg\"alt=\"\"width=\"413\"height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/MKO_Terror_Ops_05031998_22.jpg 413w, https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/MKO_Terror_Ops_05031998_22-207x300.jpg 207w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 413px) 100vw, 413px\" \/><img width=\"410\" height=\"600\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-9821 size-full\"src=\"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/MKO_Terror_Ops_05031998_23.jpg\"alt=\"\"width=\"410\"height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/MKO_Terror_Ops_05031998_23.jpg 410w, https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/MKO_Terror_Ops_05031998_23-205x300.jpg 205w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 410px) 100vw, 410px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The MEK claimed the responsibility of the attack immediately and issued a statement claiming that the group\u2019s \u201cmilitary units crushed the dozens of torturers and judges of the Iranian courts\u201d!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img width=\"402\" height=\"600\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-9819 size-full\"src=\"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/MKO_Terror_Ops_05031998_20.jpg\"alt=\"MKO Terrorist Operations - page 20\"width=\"402\"height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/MKO_Terror_Ops_05031998_20.jpg 402w, https:\/\/www.nejatngo.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/MKO_Terror_Ops_05031998_20-201x300.jpg 201w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 402px) 100vw, 402px\" \/> \u00a0Another statement was published just two days later to launch disinformation about the death of the Christian citizen, Vigen. The group\u2019s propaganda completely denied that the attack had targeted civilians and particularly the Christian citizen.
