Dear Director General of the International Committee of the Red Cross,
With respect and best wishes for your success,
we, the families whose names are listed below, in Iran and Kermanshah province, would like to inform you that one of our family members was captured by the Iraqi army during the Iran-Iraq war four decades ago.

Each of them spent the war and the end of the ceasefire in camps and detention centers in Iraq. During those years, we, the families, were informed of the status of our captive members through letters from the International Committee of the Red Cross based in Iraq.

We would like to inform you that 37 years have passed since the ceasefire between Iran and Iraq and the government has changed in Iraq, but our family members have not yet been exchanged and returned to their families.

According to Article 118 of the Third Geneva Convention, prisoners of war must be released and returned to their country immediately after the end of active hostilities. Despite this article, our children have not been exchanged 37 years after the end of the war.

According to the information we have received from the released prisoners, we learned that our children were injected by the dictatorial regime of Saddam in a deal with the terrorist group Mujahedin-e-Khalq, which was based in Iraq at that time, and the International Red Cross was deceived into believing that they freely chose to join this group. And now, for several decades, this injustice has been done to our prisoners.

Therefore, we, their families, ask you, as the International Red Cross, whose duty is to free our captive children, to take action regarding the release of our children. It is necessary to clarify that the Mujahedin-e-Khalq organization, which has taken our children into second captivity, has left Iraq and has a camp called Ashraf 3 in Albania, so we ask you for help in freeing our loved ones.

Thank you in advance,

Names of prisoners:
Ali Sepah Amiri/Yahya Moradpour/Nowrooz Darvishi/Alireza Jafari/Ali Ashraf Maleki/Houshang Moradi/Abdolkarim Karimi/Mohammad Ali Parva/Ali Asghar Darvish Tabar/Alimorad Lotfi/Mosayeb Rashidi/Alireza Khalo Kakaei/Ali Yousefi.

Dear son,
Why don’t you relieve us from distress with at least one call!? We are fine thanks to God, but we miss you and are waiting for you. Your mother is very sick and so am I, but I have to take care of us and try my best. Of course, your brother takes care of us a lot and loves us. I wish you were here and we could have a happy life together.

Dear Esmail
It has been almost fourteen years since you left us and joined the Mujahedin-e Khalq. Think about it! What have you gained in these years? except that you have wasted your life and youth and you have become far away from your homeland and family.

My dear Esmail
Do you remember our neighbor Sholeh Shadram (Akram)? In 1991, she left the Rajavis and moved to Turkey, and from there, she got refuge in Sweden where she started a family. Having a successful family, she has several children, and the interesting thing is that she returned to Iran and her hometown easily and without any problems. Since then, she travels to Iran and back to Sweden. She has a very good life.

Dear son,
You too can reach the free world by releasing yourself and choose a good and comfortable life. Of course, we are eager to meet and hug you in our warm arms in Iran. Come soon, I miss you so much.
Ismail, I kiss you from afar. Mother also greets you and asks you to call us with this 09919139801.

Your father
Mohammad Hassan Pour Mohammad Ali Bazkiai

May God makes us the subject of your unquestionable grace and merci.

Dr. Mai Sato

Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran
With regards.
I am Hamael Ghanizadeh, the mother of Mehri, Nahid and Mahmoud Saadat, who are living in the closed camp of Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MEK) in Albania and without any right to have contact with the outside world and with their family.

I plea you to hear our voices as elderly, suffered mothers of MEK members. We have been wronged a lot, if we are among the same people for whom you are responsible for human rights, please help us too, we have souls, we also have hearts, we are the most aggrieved of all, we are waiting for our loved ones’ visit for a long time.

You are a human being, feel a little sorry for us mothers who have been exiled and suffering and suffered mental torture. Come, we have souls, we also have hearts, we are the most afflicted of all, we have been blind for several years.
Please care about our sufferings. Why shouldn’t we be able to visit our loved ones? What is our sin? Our only sin is to be mothers of MEK members!

Ms. Mai Sato, you might be a mother yourself, do you tolerate such a situation? As a mother, how much can you tolerate not seeing your children? 1 year? two years ?10 years? 40 years??

I haven’t met my three children for more than 37 years, I don’t know how to talk about my request, my sufferings and my grieves. now, I am an aging, ailed mother who needs your help. I can’t bear this suffering anymore.

Respected authority, I want you to help me and other mothers of MEK members.
where else in the world would a mother be deprived of seeing her children for such a long time!
many years? Were our children killed? Are they prisoners? Doomed not to meet? What is the sin of our children? Have they killed someone? Are they prisoners of MEK leader?

Ms. Maryam Rajavi considers the Islamic Republic as enemy, however prisoners of IR allowed to visit their families weekly and, in some cases, gives them time off. The MEK claims to be Human Rights advocate but it does not allow its members to visit their mothers or even have a short telephone call. They even are not allowed to write letter to their mothers.

Please accelerate my visit with my children at the MEK Albania’s camp. Please let me have a meeting with you to recount my experiences with this organization. I am looking forward for your action as a human right activist.
We, mothers of MEK members plea you to help us with our visit with our children.

Sincerely,
Hamael Ghanizadeh, mother of three MEK hostages at Manze Camp, Albania.
Iran – Tabriz

Dear Hadi,
I hope you are well and that there is still something left of your love and affection for Iran, Semnan and your family.

We are fine here. After many years of work, effort and service, I am now retired and I am having fun in the garden. But believe me, we will never forget you. I always think of your return. I always wonder even though you were a person of thought and logic, how can you spend your life in vanity and nonsense in this cult-like group? And with what logic do you convince yourself?!

Javad Nasiri-the brother of MEK hostage Hadi Nasiri

After years of wasting your life in vain, isn’t it time for you to think a little and make a decision with the courage that I used to know in you and release yourself from this prison?
Even if you don’t come to Iran, at least decide freely for your future and live wherever you like outside of the Mujahedin Khalq’s prison so that we can communicate with each other freely and easily whenever we want.

When you were here before, we had high hopes for your future, but I don’t know how and with what motivation you fell on this path.
However, there is still time to make a decision and we are impatiently waiting for good news from you. I hope that one day soon I will hear the news of your release from this hellish organization and I will be able to hear your voice and see your image freely.
Hoping that day, I entrust you to God.

Your brother, Javad Nasiri

To our beloved father and grandfather Mosayeb Rashidi

My dear father,
your daughter and grandchildren have been hoping for many years to see you in our hometown among family members. We have always wanted to live with you and experience and enjoy the feeling of having a father and grandfather.
Father

We inquired about your condition through everyone who knew you. We know that you are not a member of any political organization and you have always been under cult-like pressures. so why don’t you come home?
It has become a wish for us to see you in freedom, by our side some day. Some time ago, we sent you a letter from your young grandson. You may have seen it. We hope that you will be moved by that letter since it was written from the bottom of the heart of a child. We hope that you will choose us and come back.
Hoping that day.

Your daughter and grandchildren,
Love

Dear father,
We, your children, pray to God for your health and safety. Dad! We were worried about you since you were in Iraq left in danger of war and insecurity. And now that you are in a faraway country, locked in a camp without any contact with your family, our worries have doubled and continue.

We are thinking of you and we tried to contact you through every possible channel, but in the end, our efforts remained fruitless, blocked by the cult of Rajavi in which you are trapped in.
We wrote letters to everywhere and we were active in the virtual space so that maybe you can find out about the situation of your children and the hopelessness that the MEK has planted in your heart and mind will fade and maybe it will be an opening where you can remove the cult barriers and choose your children.

Daddy! we are thinking of you always and at every moment we ask you to fulfill your fatherly duty for us. Take an action with your own free will as soon as possible and end this situation of indecision, misery and trouble in that anti-freedom Cult.

Love,

Ms. Soraya Abdollahi wrote a letter to Bledi Çuçi, the text of which is as follows.

Honorable Minister of Interior of the Republic of Albania
Your Excellency, Mr. Bledi Çuçi
Greetings and respect

I am Soraya Abdollahi, the mother of Amir Aslan Hassanzadeh, who is a captive in the Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK) camp in Albania, and I am responsible for organizing the mothers of the Nejat Society in Iran. Mothers whose children, like my son, are trapped in the MEK camp and have nowhere to go. Mothers who are rightfully title as the “forgotten victims of the Rajavi Cult”.
I and other suffering mothers whose children are in Camp Ashraf 3 in Manëz, Albania against their will, have written many times to you and other authorities of your country and we are still waiting for the response and reaction from the honorable government.

According to media reports, the MEK has taken nearly 2,000 of our children hostage for decades and does not allow the families to meet, make phone calls, or even exchange letters. These people have been based in Albania for almost a decade now.

During the past years, Rajavi’s cult has brought many of our children into the cult through illegal channels and smuggling. Many of these people had gone to Turkey, the UAE, Pakistan and other countries in search of work and a better life. They were deceived by the promise of work and residence in European countries and were forcibly brought to Iraq and inside Camp Ashraf. After that, they were subjected to a complex process of brainwashing and they were not allowed to go out and communicate with the free world, especially their family.

Members of the MEK, based on cultic controls, have been denied permission to communicate with the free world, form a family and living, communicate with family and friends, study, have a job, and have personal life. They cannot leave the camp run by the cult commanders and contact us, and we expectant mothers and families wish to find out about their health and how they live.
Unfortunately, during the last four decades, many fathers and mothers have suffered a lot due to the separation and distance of their children or died without getting news of their loved ones.

According to the provisions and obligations that were communicated to them when they entered Albania, the MEK should reside in the country of Albania based on asylum laws and basic human rights and as refugees individually. But all members have been under the absolute control of the leaders of MEK who did not adhere to any of their commitments. The leadership of the MEK has practically imprisoned and held its members hostage and violates their basic human rights.

Considering the current situation where the main and law-abiding nature of the MEK has been clarified against the responsible action of the respected government of Albania in the direction of applying the law and national sovereignty, and considering the precarious situation of our loved ones in the MEK in Albania, we the painful families, for the sake of the captives, appeal you that first allow the Iranian families who can prove their relationship with the people stationed in the MEK camp to enter Albania, and secondly consider arrangements so that these elderly people can meet their loved ones.

Sincerely,
Soraya Abdullahi
Representative of the mothers of Nejat Society

Hossein Shaabanpour, the brother of Hassan Shaabanpour, member of the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK/ PMOI) wrote another letter to his brother. Hossein hopes that his brother will find an opportunity to read the letters. In the cult-like system of the MEK, Hassan is not allowed to contact his family.
Hassan was deceived to join the MEK when he was a war prisoner in the horrific POW camps of Iraqi Baath regime. He had been taken as a POW when he was a soldier of the Iranian army in the early months of Iran-Iraq war. Hassan has not been allowed to visit his family for over 40 years.

Here is the letter of Hossein Shaabanpour to his beloved brother:

To My beloved bother
Dear Hassan,
Our other brothers and I always talk about you. We all miss you a lot. Why aren’t you allowed to be with us? This is a crucial question which has been in my mind during the long years of separation.

While we are in a world where people can stay in touch with their long-distance friends and families, why can’t you contact us? Don’t you yourself want to contact us or do the MEK leaders forbid you to contact us? I know that the MEK leaders do not permit you and other members to do so. They are afraid of any contact between you and your families. They know that the contacts with family make you aware of the conditions you are stuck in.
Dear Hassan

Believe me! I and other members of family are determined to release you from the hands of the Cult of Rajavi, no matter how long it takes us. We are sure that you will begin a new life in the free world like those who previously defected the group.
We promise that we will take any action needed for you. Feel sure that we will stay on your side forever. No matter what, Rajavi cannot cut the emotional ties between us.

I wish Rajavi dared to give this letter to you. I wish you could read it to know that everything is ready for your freedom. You just need to take one step to see the beautiful life outside the bars of the MEK.
I hope to see you soon.

Your brother,
Hossein Shaabanpour

Letter of Valiollah Golrizan, the father of Abbas Golrizan a member of the Mujahedin Khalq (the MEK/ PMOI) who has been taken as a hostage by the group for over 35 years:

Dear Abbas,
I hope you are well. Why don’t you answer my letters? why don’t you contact me? When you were a child, I had so many dreams for your future. When you went to army service, I was looking forward to your return. I did not know that the two years of army service would end to so many years of separation. I do not forgive those who deceived you and deprived me from your return. I do not forgive them for they do not allow you to contact your family. How long do I have to endure this separation?

My beloved Abbas
Believe me! I am too old to wait for you. I am sick and I really miss you. You live in a place in which there is no happy ending for your story. The leaders of the MEK tell you lies.

Dear abbas,
Liberate yourself from that hellish camp and get back to your family. Your family and I are waiting for you. Son! Please fulfill my dream!

Your father,
Valiollah Golrizan
