Massoud Rajavi

Rajavi’s hypocrisy regarding recognized campaigners of Iran

Whenever possible, Rajavi has sought refuge in historical, popular, and revolutionary figures of Iranian history to justify his anti-national activities during years of his so-called revolutionary struggle. In other words, he misuses the repute of the distinguished Iranian freedom fighters as well as the leaders of social revolutions, particularly in the recent century, like Sattar Khan, Baqir Khan and Modarres to cover up his political scandals. The reputation of these leaders is due to their patriotism and can never be compared to the notorious status of Rajavi in the Iranian history and the mind of the public. He can hardly claim to be truly struggling for the independence and freedom of Iran. Evidently, all leaders of social movements in Iran had fortes and failures yet their actions are highly different from that of Rajavi who is a dishonorable traitor. While the Iranian history has recorded the above mentioned and even non-Iranian freedom fighters as great patriots and heroes, it never forgets those quislings like Rajavi who betrayed their country allied themselves with the invaders against their home country and took the oath of cooperation with the enemies of their nation.

Rajavi is making his utmost attempt to parallel his anti-national activities with those of admirable historical figures of Iran who sacrificed their lives to secure the independence and freedom of their land. Despite the temporary dominance of the invaders in Iran, they never took the path of Rajavi to collaborate with the foreigners under the pretext of freedom fighting. However, the position of Rajavi in the Iranian history is like a stigma evident and it is not clear how he can justify his notorious past record of perfidious deeds, besides his fruitless lobbying with the EU, USA, and France as the opponents of the independence of Iran, that made other associate oppositions ashamed of their alliance with MKO. The fact is that those trying to judge him according to Marxist thought and analyses are intentionally neglecting the real cultic nature of his activities that cannot be analyzed within any framework. The main mistake of these leftist and rightist individuals and groups is that they still judge Rajavi in the framework of a fallible revolutionary, political, and idealist individual in political arena. They aim to hide the real visage of Rajavi under the banner of criticism yet they ignore the fact that Rajavi has never recognized their legitimacy since Rajavi has proved that he does not consent to anything less than being totally submitted to and admired.

Those who insist to put Rajavi among the ten top figures of Iranian history are in fact deriding themselves. How Rajavi dares to parallel himself to these historical figures is due to the fact that his advocates and supporters are not aware of their real position in the Iranian history. While he bears no one but himself as the leader of the Iranian contemporary history, he has to resort to this parallelism for winning legitimacy. However, his position takings are different from his intra-organizational viewpoints on these individuals. For instance, though Rajavi appreciates Mosaddeq as the leader of nationalization of oil industries in Iran, Mosaddeq is described as a man of the bourgeoisie class and a descendant of Qajar, the dynasty previous to Pahlavi, who failed to find a true social path in his life to side with MKO.

Moreover, despite the fact that Rajavi approves the anti-tyrannical and anti-colonial struggles of Mirza Koochak Khan, the distinguished Iranian leader of the Jungle Movement, and claims himself as his follower, he had no qualms about calling him a reactionary and backward-looking person whenever he came to analyze his movement for the insiders. Also in regard to Modarres, although Rajavi highly esteems him in out of the organization relations, yet he criticizes him as a dogmatist who stood against republicanism as a barrier to hinder Iran’s historical and economic progress toward Socialism originated revolution. Likewise, almost all historical figures have the same typical duality for Rajavi. On the one hand, he admires their activities for the sake of demagogy and on the other hand, they are accused and criticized in the intra-organizational analyses of MKO. This may clarify the depth of the insincerity and fraudulency of Masoud Rajavi in misusing historical figures. The ideological subordinates of Rajavi who have deified him have no other choice but to follow him blindly in his hypocrisy.

MEK Camp Ashraf

Miserable condition of Mojahedin Khalq hostages in Camp Ashraf

Asharq Al-Awsat exposes miserable condition of Mojahedin Khalq hostages in Camp Ashraf

Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper published a long report on the situation of the combatants of the Mojahedin-e Khalq at Camp Ashraf. The paper said that about three thousand men live at Camp Ashraf, called Camp New Iraq by the Iraqi authorities, and over 70% of them are over fifty years old. It is not clear what can be done with them. Whether to keep them in Iraq, or send them to Egypt for example, or have the Americans give more protection so they can be used to threaten Iran.

The only achievement of the MKO leaders in the past twenty years has been to have the name of the organization struck from the terrorism lists of many countries, a move which allows Iran to accuse them of hypocrisy.

The paper reported that several families have travelled from far away just to get news of their relatives inside the camp.

The Mojahedin-e Khalq claim they are officers of the Iranian Intelligence service who have been sent to conduct phsychological warfare on the group. But Asharq Al-Awsat spoke to the families and to Nejat Society in Iran which is helping them, and they say all they want to know is if their relatives are alive and well or if they are dead.

The families are holding a vigil in front of the camp where they have been situated for some months.

Asharq Al-Awsat spoke to people who have recently escaped from the camp. They spoke of the terrible conditions there, and said that anyone wanting to leave was severely punished, even tortured. One former member of the MKO who has served in prison in Iran for terrorist acts while with the MKO told the paper that if the people inside the camp were free to choose, most of them would leave. The group is supported by America and is being used to pressure Iran. But, he says, Iran does not think the group is important and does not see any threat from them.

An Iranian journalist said he believes that America, Iran and Iraq want to keep the MKO holed up in Camp Ashraf for different reasons, but that this is inhumane because the people inside are living in extremely bad conditions and their humanitarian needs should be cared for.

The MKO leaders, for their part, accuse the families of psychological warfare and are demanding that the United Nations take over responsibility for the camp from the Government of Iraq.

Al Motamar reports the meeting between families of the MEK and UNAMI

A meeting was held between the families of MKO members and UNAMIAl Motamar reports the meeting between families of the victims of the Mojahedin (MEK, MKO) and UNAMI

The UN Political and Human Rights Director (UNAMI) in Iraq, Mr Mahdu Acharya, stressed that the protest and refusal of Mojahedin Khalq leaders, currently based in Camp Ashraf, to allow the families of Iranians who came from Iran, to meet their children inside the camp is a violation and a breach of human rights law and contrary to ethics, the international community and international human rights organizations and all free people in the world. He asked leaders of the leaders of the organization to deal with this situation in a humane way and consider Iranian families their full freedom to meet their children outside the walls of Camp Ashraf.
This came during a meeting in the building of the UN in Iraq (UNAMI) inside the Green Zone between a number of families who came from Iran to Iraq to meet their children, prisoners and detainees held in the camp.
He said camp Ashraf in Diyala province is part of the Iraqi territory and falls within the responsibility of the government and Iraqi security forces after receiving it officially from the U.S. forces following the the security agreement between Iraq and America in 2009 and full sovereignty of Iraq on its lands. He stressed the fact that Iraq cannot allow any foreign party to interfere in the internal affairs of Iraq, especially on the issue of Camp Ashraf and members of the Organization adding that the prime minister has set up a formal committee responsible Camp Ashraf to negotiate directly with the leaders and officials of the Organization in cooperation with UNAMI, the Red Cross and other international human rights organization to close down Camp Ashraf forever and end the presence of the PMOI in Iraq.
In spite of the hardship and pains the families have suffered throughout their 75-long days of stay before the camp, they are waiting to see their children in the bond of the organization’s dark ideology headed by Massoud and Maryam Rajavi for nearly 27 years.

MEK Camp Ashraf

The fear surrounding Camp Ashraf leaders

It’s been over two months since families of Camp Ashraf residents started a strike at the gates of Camp Ashraf, but they could not manage to visit their loved ones without the presence of the Camp authorities in an open atmosphere. The leaders of Mujahedin Khalq destructive cult, as always, prevent the members from an ordinary family visit which is the absolute right of any prisoner. The reason of such a prohibition lies in the recent process of defection of the cult during the last six years. Since the invasion of coalition forces and the fall of Saddam Hussein a large number of Ashraf residents defected from the group, returned to Iran or went to Europe where some of them succeeded to reveal the nature of MKO in european organizations such as European Parliament. This kind of consequence of MEK members’ defection caused the cult’s leaders a strong feeling of fear which has turned in to a phobia. For MKO’s leader Massoud Rajavi, a good critic is a dead critic. He is terrified by the domino effect of members’ defection which will end in his group’s collapse. This extreme fear might explain the fact that MKO leaders are not assured of the members’ belief in the group’s ideology.

Ashraf residents have long been kept in an isolated place, deprived from any love or affection. The cult-like relationships under too much police-like pressure have left them in a condition where they feel wondering in a fatal life without any reliable, kind shelter. Their natural need for family love is not dead but it is like a flame ready to set a big fire.

As the families at Ashraf gates declared in their response to Mrs. Batoul Soltani’s message, they are everyday witnessing Ashraf residents who stealthy wave hands to them smiling but because of their organized systematic fear of defecting from the group, they are not able to leave the Camp. Needless to say that Rajavi’s promise for victory and freedom cannot impress the members any more but the fear of outside world that Rajavi portrays for them, maintains them in the cult.

The message of Mrs. Batoul Soltani, former member of the cult’s Leadership Council, for Ashraf residents clarifies for them that their fear is baseless and as she describes "the essential element for a human life is living in a free community" .The members are indoctrinated and manipulated day and night and they are told that the families waiting outside Camp Ashraf are agents of Iranian Intelligence Ministry .However, the claim is paling since the old mothers and fathers awaiting near Ashraf ,suffering physical weakness are paying the price of Camp authorities’ despotism.

The least achievement of such a strike can be coming to the conclusion that Rajavi’s ideology is filled with defects which leads his cult to such a complex fate in which the leaders have to heighten their deceitful manipulative techniques in order to keep the members in the Camp.

Former Italian FM: MKO cult has terrorist nature

Former Italian Foreign Minister said: "I know Mojahedin-e Khalq cult completely and am well aware of the depth of their crimes.

Sympathizing with the families of terror victims in Iran Gianni De Michelis continued: I could seeFormer Italian Foreign Minister said: "I know Mojahedin-e Khalq cult completely and am well aware of the depth of their crimes. when I was at the office that unlike its terrorist nature the MKO cult tried to portray itself a pro-human rights and democratic organization; but they are terrorists and I strongly condemn their crimes.

The term “cult” in political literature of Italy is applied to highly dangerous groups which are severely brainwashed and affected by their tyrannical leaders and have no more human emotions.

Mujahedin Khalq Organization

The Reality of National Council of Resistance

The establishment of National Council of Resistance aka NCR/NCRI in 1981, in France by five Iranian Opposition groups was part of the consequences of Islamic Revolution in 1979 when some individuals and groups broke out with the regime founded by Ayatollah Khomeini. National Council of Resistance, under the leadership of Massoud Rajavi became a destructive political power which disappointed those who were once deceived by its founders.

The main objective of such a council of which the biggest member was Mujahedin Khalq Organization, was to achieve political power in Iran. The agenda of the primary members was to propagandize their so-called council as the "only alternative" to the regime of Tehran, although Abul Hassan BaniSadr had left it because of MKO’s relations with the fighting enemy against Iran: Iraq.

The other opposition groups who were members of NCR also defected from the council since they saw the principal axis they had based their coalition on was being violated by MKO whose leader, Massoud Rajavi was taking the most undemocratic steps against his own nation by cooperating with Iraqi Baath regime. On the other hand, a more important factor of NCR’s decline was that MEK was not playing the role of an ally but it was considering itself as the main element of the council. So Rajavi tried to spread his hegemony on the other members of the council (who were from various political movements or ideologies) and his reactionary ideology which was not based on democracy.

National Council of Resistance, under the leadership of Massoud Rajavi became a destructive political power which disappointed those who were once deceived by its founders.
After the extensive process of defection from NCR, those who stayed was just some trivial figures [who were mostly burned cards of regime of Shah) and their mission was to run MEK’s medieval ideology. Thus MEK could never ally with democratic, progressive movements. That might explain that the only objective they founded NCR for was to create an instrument to achieve its goal that was reaching political power in Iran based on a cult of personality.

Since then NCRI has become a puppet of MEK that has been determined to overthrow Islamic Republic in six month! (For thirty years on)

Massoud Rajavi

Rajavi admits returning to a Zero point

There is a significant implied point in the recent message of Masoud Rajavi despite all his quibbles and paradoxical statements. There, he has acknowledged the fact that after three decades of blind activities, victimization, wasting time, indetermination, and misusing all levers and means for achieving political power, he has to return to a zero point initiating his struggle anew. In other words, the organization has to accept the assumption that nothing has happened so far and the past and all its events are to be cleaned and replaced with a new phase. It is a bitter truth to be admitted by Rajavi and his organization, yet he is well aware that he has no other choice but submitting to the existing conditions. Therefore, he has to ignore the past and play a new game like those children who cannot bear failure and feel ashamed to pursue it yet their childish perversity refrains them to quit so they insist on playing again.

The motivation of this true confession is that the child is to prevent the psychological effects of the humiliating failure, refreshing his mental and psychological potentials to set up another game. Some children even cannot bear continuing a lost game but stubbornly disturb it and declare the end of the game they have lost to provide the grounds for another one. Suppose that the egotist failed child steps in a new game with the same potentials and mental and physical abilities. The more games restarted, the more failures will results. The psychological state of the failures make them refrain to submit to any defeat and reflect upon its causes and effects. Perhaps, they cannot do so due to their childish self-will.
However, the psychological analysis of Rajavi at the time being reveals that he is similar to the child who fails repeatedly yet his perverse insistence and stubbornness give solace neither to him nor to his followers and advocates. He never learns lessons of his past nor does he investigate the basis of his failures in himself; he prefers to restart a new game occasionally based on his outdated cliché ideology.

There is another point in his message that is a novel delusion. Though he is consent to return to a zero point, he concentrates on an optimistic childish view based on his old delusion of overthrowing the Iranian regime. He is to initiate a long play. He has come to the point that allying with Saddam and then with the West due to their opposition to Iran has been fruitless since he suffers from the lack of public support in Iran, a fact referred to by the West repeatedly. Now, Rajavi knows that he has no option but supporting Reza Pahlavi, the descendant of Pahlavi’s regime in Iran, offering him the presidency of Iran in the future to win the consent of the West too. What is surprising, he has also become unconcerned of a past sensitivity for the hegemony of Mojahedin over the Iranian opposition.

During the last three decades, Rajavi never consented to be in such a full retreat. It has its roots in his pathological delusion and simplistic political views. He is not aware of the fact that all his challenges are not due to his wrong and cursory decision makings yet his ignorance of the internal conditions of Iran and the public view that is the main challenge met by MKO. Any amount of flexibility and submission on the part of Rajavi toward the west may solve a trifle portion of his problems. His basic challenge is the lack of public support in Iran so he is doing his best to attract the attention of the Iranians. Anyway, this is a childish game based on the delusion of winning the legitimacy of outsiders as well as insiders. This new approach is in fact the maintenance of his past policy in the recent decades; it differs in the point that he has to return to a zero point and at the same time resort to new illusions and fantasies.

MEK former member speech on Terrorism and Destructive Cults

Terrorism and Destructive Cults – speech by former MEK member Massoud Bani Sadr

This year’s FECRIS annual Conference was hosted in London by The Family Survival Trust (UK) on 16 April 2010.

FECRIS (European Federation of Centres of Research and Information on Sectarianism) was founded on 30 June 1994 in Paris following the Congress on Sectarianism in Barcelona in 1993. It is a non-commercial association under French law. It declare itself politically, philosophically and religiously neutral as stated in article 2 of its statutes.

Dr. Massoud Bani Sadr, a former member of the Mojahedin-e Khalq cult, was a speaker at the meeting. He talked about the links between terrorism and destructive cults such as the MEK.

……

Back to terrorism; let me give you an example: Although MEK that I was member of born with an ideology based on Islam and Marxism and recruit with anti Imperialism and anti Zionism and social justice slogans; and later after the revolution, when I along tens of thousands more students of schools and universities joined it, used any ills, any injustice or lack of freedom to recruit; but after it changed into a terrorist organisation and then into a destructive cult, its survival, its internal strength had nothing to do with either of causes of its existence, its original slogans, or what was happening in Islamic world or in Iran. To survive and to fulfill the leader’s dreams, contrary to their nationalistic slogans; during Iran-Iraq war, they collaborated with Sadam Hussein and hand in hand with Iraqi army they fought with Iran. Sadam’s generous assistance to MEK; financial help, free land to build their bases in, sophisticated armament etc; didn’t mean that MEK will be loyal to their host, when they saw American army, they announced their readiness to help Americans and fight along side of new victorious army[i]. All said it doesn’t mean that MEK now is going to be loyal toward American; because cults are not loyal to any partner or friend, ideology, policy, slogan, agreement but only those that help their survival and their goal’s advancement.

As the matter of fact for me as for almost all members, after MEK’s ideological revolution (the name they gave to their brain washing techniques[ii]), Iran and Islam where not important anymore; or at least not nearly as important as the existence and success of the organisation and its leader. Then in a letter to the leader I explained this change in myself and other members by admitting that if they ask us to choose between happiness and success of Iranian and Muslims in one hand and victory of our leader anywhere around the world even if he becomes president of Zimbabwe, we all will choose the latter one. Of course then our logic was based on this assumption that if our leader finds a foothold anywhere in the world, soon he can expand his influence and can save the whole world and change the history. Yes MEK was and still is using any ills that might exist in Iran to recruit, for propaganda purposes and for legitimization of its existence, but for its members what is happening in Iran or as matter of fact in the whole world outside, is not slightly as important as their internal relations, their absolute loyalty and obedience toward the leader

Iraq rejects MKO claim that families are Iranian intelligence officers

DIALA – Twenty Iranian intelligence officers entered Iraqi territories to head for Camp Ashraf of the anti-Iran group People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran in Diala, a PMOI source said on Saturday.

“Twenty Iranian intelligence officers arrived in Camp Ashraf with the aid of the Iraqi government and are residing inside caravans parallel to the camp walls in al-Azim, al-Khalis district, (15 km) north of Baaquba,” Mahdi Aqbaie told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“Those officers, who are being protected by the Iraqi security forces in charge of the facility security, were brought near the camp in order to press its residents to leave Iraqi territories,” Aqbaie added.

Meanwhile, an official security source in Diala dismissed the reports.

“The camp is void of any elements belonging to the Iranian intelligence otherwise this could be deemed as violation of national sovereignty,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq.

The PMOI, also known by the abbreviations MKO and MEK, is a militant socialist organization that advocates the overthrow of Iran’s current government. Founded in 1965, the PMOI was originally devoted to armed struggle against the Shah of Iran, capitalism and Western imperialism.

The group officially renounced violence in 2001 and today it is the main organization in the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), an “umbrella coalition” parliament-in-exile that claims to be dedicated to a democratic, secular and coalition government in Iran.

The PMOI has had thousands of its members for many years in bases in Iraq, but they were disarmed in the wake of the 2003 U.S.-led invasion and are said to have adhered to a ceasefire. Its armed wing is, or was, called the National Liberation Army of Iran (NLA)

Former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein dedicated Camp Ashraf in Diala province, northeast of Baghdad, to host the PMOI members since the 1980s.
