Several families of trapped MEK members in Camp Liberty have arrived in Baghdad to actively petition Iraqi governmental officials and UN staff to help them make contact with their loved ones. Once the MEK leaders found this out, the usual campaign of ugly swearing and disinformation …
The Barack Obama administration believes Rajavi’s group[MKO/MEK/PMOI] is trying to derail its negotiations with Iran and has raised doubts about its recent purported revelations about illicit nuclear activity. The group’s claim to fame came in 2002 when it publicly revealed the location of an undisclosed nuclear facility at Natanz, but questions about how much the United States and Israel already knew at the time have swirled ever since.
Two weeks ago an active MEK/MKO/PMOI member was involved in an accident in Baghdad. He was arrested and imprisoned to await trial. Iraqi officials stated that pending his trial he was free to be released on bail. Bolton is hardly the only former official, retired officer, or ex-politician to do this, but for the last several years he has been a vocal cheerleader of the Mujahideen-e Khalq cult aka MKO/MEK/PMOI (and “former” terrorist group) and its political organization. He has been consistently misrepresenting a totalitarian cult as a “democratic” Iranian opposition group.
