Some of these advocates have received tens of thousands of dollars for their appearances.
While ex-US officials are receiving money from the MEK/MKO/PMOI, rather than providing it, the tolerance of the close work with the group has been a Washington oddity for some time. There’s some”enemy of my enemy is my friend”logic around this ..and some of its advocates view it is a government in waiting..But the group has limited support inside Iran
