MKO member arrested while entering Iran

An informed security source in Iran has said that a member of the terrorist group, the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO), has been arrested while entering the country.

The security source made the announcement on Saturday, saying that the MKO member was arrested while trying to enter Iran from Albania on April 4.

The MKO is responsible for the deaths of more than 17,000 Iranian citizens, including civilians, over the past years.

The group is based in Albania and has been trying to create unrest inside Iran.

Iranian authorities have blamed the MKO for the riots that broke out in the country in September 2022 following the death of young woman Mahsa Amini.

The objection letter of the CEO of the Nejat Society to the Prime Minister of Albania

Mr. Edi Rama
Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania

Greetings
The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported from a knowledgeable security source that a former member of the Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK, Rajavi terrorist cult) who tried to enter the country from Albania on April 4 of this year was arrested and is now in custody.

The person in question is Mr. Ehsan Bidi, who is a former member of the MEK and has been separated from this organization for about a decade and is a refugee in your country. He is registered as a refugee with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in your country and has legitimate rights of a refugee recognized by the UN. He did hold Albanian Identification document.

During the past years, the highest mental and physical pressures have been applied on this person at the request of Maryam Rajavi, who is a terrorist leader sheltered in your country. On two occasions, he was detained in Karrec camp for one year each time, and recently he was detained for 6 months together with five former members of the MEK in this camp in the worst conditions.
Mr. Prime Minister

On the one hand, you don’t miss any opportunity to condemn the gross violation of human rights in Iran, and on the other hand, you forcefully return the asylum seeker to Iran to be arrested and detained, and now he has a court case for the crime of membership of a terrorist organization.

Apparently, the officials of your government claim that Ehsan Bidi has signed that he wants to return to Iran. What your government and police did to Mr. Bidi during this time, if it was done to anyone else, he would have signed his own death sentence. Certainly, the Albanian government has not left a good international record in this regard.

Ehsan Bidi Albanian Identification document

Ehsan Bidi Albanian Identification document

According to the information received by the Albanian police, in collusion with the Turkish police, Mr. Ehsan Bidi was first sent to Istanbul under custody and then forcibly sent to Tehran by the Istanbul police, and since he did not have any identification documents, and it was only determined that he was a member of the Rajavi terrorist cult, he has been arrested and detained by Iranian security forces. Even the Iranian consulate in Istanbul or the Iranian embassy in Ankara were not informed about the matter.

The action of the Albanian government is a clear violation of international laws and United Nations conventions, which this government has signed and claims to protect refugees and human rights. The Albanian government is fully responsible for the current situation of Ehsan Bidi in the eyes of the international community and must be held accountable.
Recently, two of the six people detained in the Karrec camp were sent to Greece by threat and coercion against all asylum laws, and they are currently in detention in that country and their fate is unknown.

These actions have no other benefit other than to please Maryam Rajavi and her terrorist cult. We will pursue this inhuman act and clear violation of asylum rights through our friends in Europe in international organizations and the European Union.

CEO of Nejat Society

Mehdi Hamidfar’s mother asks for his return

While leaders of the Mujahedin-e Khalq claims to advocate human rights for Iranian people, they are the most horrific violators of human rights. Tajodoleh Heidarian is one of hundreds of mothers whose beloved children are taken as hostages in Rajavi’s cult-like organization located in Albania.

to download the video file click here

Mehdi Hamidfar was kidnapped by the MEK agents three decades ago. Since then, his mother has been deprived from visiting or contacting him.

Tajodoleh has made efforts to rescue her son. When the group was located in Iraq, she traveled to Iraq, she picketed behind the gates of Camp Ashraf, she cried and shouted the name of her son, but she was never allowed to visit Mehdi. Today she is still taking actions appealing for the release of her son in the international human rights organizations.

Besides, she sends video messages to Nejat Society website in the hope that Mehdi will see them some day. This is her recent message on the occasion of Persian new year.

Illegal expulsion of former members into Greece by the MEK

According to a report by Ora News on April 6, 2023, 10 illegal immigrants trying to cross the Sarandë border (Albania to Greece) were arrested.

According to this news, the police arrested the Albanian driver of a van near the border while he was hiding 10 illegal immigrants in his vehicle. These immigrants were trying to go to Greece illegally from Albania. They were stopped and searched at a place called Qafe Bote near the border point. Two of these foreigners were Iranians who are said to have been former members of the Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK).

Illegal expulsion of former members into Greece by the Rajavi Cult

It should be noted that in many cases the Rajavi Cult has tried to illegally send its former members to Greece so that they do not stay in Albania and expose their lies to the public opinion. Currently, a large number of ex-members of the Rajavi cult, who were promised to be sent to Germany and other Western European countries, are wandering in Greece.

According to the information obtained, more than 200 people are living in the exit unit of the closed and remote MEK camp in Albania, and they have been promised to be sent to Europe if they do not leave the camp now, which apparently aims to make them wander along the border of Greece with the smuggler so that they don’t go to ASILA and lead a quiet and comfortable life.

Liam Fox, former Secretary of State for International Trade of Britain
Mujahedin Khalq Organization as a terrorist group

To know the MEK’s paid lobbyist

Liam Fox, former Secretary of State for International Trade of Britain and a member of the Conservative Party, is one of the paid lobbyists of the Mujahedin-e Khalq (the MEK/ PMOI) who frequently advocates for the terrorist cult as an alternative for the Iranian government. Let’s take a look at his background.

According to his comrades, Fox hardly ever attends the parliament sessions and even if he is present, very few representatives are willing to sit by his side. Last month, the Guardian published a revealing report about Fox and his carrier as a parliament member including the lefty fees he is paid for lobbying.

the Guardian published a revealing report about Fox

the Guardian published a revealing report about Fox

The report reveals:

“Fox is separately paid £10,000 every six months as a retainer by WorldPR, a company based in Panama, despite working no hours for them to date. WorldPR’s clients have previously included the late Chilean dictator Augustus Augusto Pinochet, a team of lawyers working for the Libyan government to secure the release of the Lockerbie bomber Abdelbaset al-Megrahi, and the Kazakh and Azerbaijani governments.”

According to the information received by Nejat Society, WorldPR or World Public Relations is the very company used by the MEK to pay Liam Fox. The speaking fees were previously settled in the bank accounts of the group lobbies via the group’s front organizations in the United States but today WorldPR does all the works for Maryam Rajavi including the expenses of the group’s guests in Albania. The same firm is paid by Israeli and Saudi companies in tax haven countries such as Albania and Azerbaijan.

MEK women
The cult of Rajavi

MEK, the greatest enemy of women and children

If one day Iranian women and children are to complain in a court about the atrocities and crimes that happened to them, surely the leaders of the MEK terrorist group will be present in the first row of all the accused. This is not a superficial and controversial claim. There is a wide range of women, girls and children of this land who fell victim to crimes committed by the MEK terrorist group.

Since the beginning of the 1960s, nearly 450 Iranian women and girls have been victims of terrorist groups, and the MEK has had the highest share. Seventy six victims were schoolgirls aged 11 to 18, and 77 were innocent young girls under 10. The MEK is responsible for the killing of about 400 kids of this nation. This magnitude of brutality of a terrorist group against innocent people and children is unbelievable. Even their usual response to their opponents and critics, both Iranian and non-Iranian, whom they constantly call “regime’s mercenaries” cannot justify the savagery.

Another group of MEK’s female victims are former or current members of the group. Since the mid-60s and Rajavi’s nefarious scheme, which he called “ideological revolution“, hundreds of children were separated from their families and transferred to Europe. Two hundred were sent to Germany who, according to the German police reports and observations of school teachers in cities such as Cologne, were exploited and sexually harassed by the supporters of the MEK, and did not act normally at school. Many others were also sent to streets to beg for donations as part of Rajavi’s fraudulent fund-raising project.

Now, in the MEK’s camp in Albania are female members who were separated from their husbands and kids, prohibited from marriage, education, and working, forced to wear uniforms and dozens of other who were rendered sterile, all providing compelling evidence about anti-family and misogynistic acts within the “stuck-in-the-past” cult of Rajavi.

To evade this atrocity, the MEK has no choice but to resort to deception, lying and distortion of history. However, Iranian themselves are history and this terrorist group will be held accountable one day.

Mujahedin Khalq Organization as a terrorist group

This free trip to Albania was an offer all MPs should refuse

The Mujahedeen-e-Khalq was once an Islamic-Marxist revolutionary group in Iran and later an ally of Saddam Hussein in Iraq. The U.S. and Canada listed it as a terrorist entity until 2012. Now, it is a cult-like organization.

And last year, seven Canadian MPs travelled to Albania to attend one of its events, paid for by a Canadian MEK organization, the Iran Democratic Association.

The MPs, from three different parties, collectively accepted $27,975 for travel to an event called the Free Iran World Summit 2022, according to the list of sponsored travel released last week. In a strange twist, the conference didn’t actually take place. The summit was cancelled at the last minute after guests arrived, because of security concerns, but meetings were organized for politicians at another location.

Still, something disturbing happened here. Canadian politicians accepted free trips the MEK offers to whitewash itself as a credible voice for democratic resistance to the Iranian regime. But the MEK is not that.

MEK Cult women in Albania

Political sect from Albania fights against Tehran

The MEK does go out of its way to court politicians, and trumpets their participation. Politicians who travel to their Free Iran summits are not helping to free Iran.

“We should be worried because the MEK is a cult,” said University of Ottawa professor Thomas Juneau, a Middle East specialist and former analyst with the Department of National Defence. “It is thuggish, it is not democratic at all, it is not an alternative to the current regime in Iran,” he said. “It has no legitimacy at all inside Iran.”

The sums these MPs accepted for a trip to Europe were not very large by the standards of MP junkets, which often pay for MPs to go to Israel or Taiwan. Several of the MPs claimed a very low $280 for five days accommodation.

But you have to wonder if MPs would have gone if the cost came from their budget, or pocket.

MPs aren’t allowed to accept other gifts. There is no reason they should be allowed to accept free travel.

The seven MPs who attended include Liberal MP Judy Sgro, Bloc Québécois MP Alexis Brunelle-Duceppe, and five Conservatives: Michael Cooper, Kerry-Lynne Findlay, Dan Muys, Lianne Rood and Melissa Lantsman, now one of the party’s deputy leaders.

None of them returned messages left on Friday, or in the case of Mr. Cooper, on Sunday, except for Ms. Lantsman’s office, which e-mailed a comment: “She has been an advocate of a free Iran and believes only the people of Iran will choose its own future. She has also met with other groups fighting for the cause of a free Iran.”

Perhaps politicians don’t know that the MEK is not a credible advocate for a democratic Iran. Some in the U.S. seem to embrace its vocal opposition to the Iranian regime, and figure the enemy of their enemy is their friend. And some U.S. politicians are believed to have accepted large speaking fees.

“The only way I can explain why there are American politicians who support the [MEK] is ‘Follow the money,’” said Ervand Abrahamian, professor of Middle East history and politics at the City University of New York, and author of a 1992 book about the MEK, Radical Islam: The Iranian Mojahedin.

In the 1970s, he said, they were Islamic Marxists known simply as the Mujahedeen who fought for the overthrow of the Shah. Later, the mullah-led Islamic regime cracked down on the MEK, which assassinated a number of Iranian regime leaders. In the 1980s, the MEK moved to Iraq, and fought alongside Saddam Hussein’s forces in the Iran-Iraq war. That earned them hate inside Iran, Mr. Abrahamian said.

“Even people who hate the Islamic Republic hate the Mujahedeen even more,” he said.

After Saddam Hussein fell, the new Iraqi government wanted them out, and the U.S. delisted the group as a terrorist organization before it was relocated to Albania.

Along the way, Mr. Abrahamian said, the MEK gave up ideology and became a cult-like organization, centred around leader Massoud Rajavi and now his presumed widow, Maryam Rajavi – although her husband is believed to have been dead for roughly 20 years but that has never been confirmed.

In 2009, the RAND Corporation, in a report commissioned by a U.S. government research institute, reported the MEK used cult-like practices “such as authoritarian control, confiscation of assets, sexual control (including mandatory divorce and celibacy), emotional isolation, forced labour, sleep deprivation, physical abuse, and limited exit options.”

The MEK, in short, is not the hope for a new Iran. Western politicians who associate with it will at best alarm real Iranian reformers. Its events don’t advance the cause of a Free Iran. And Canadian politicians shouldn’t jet off to them – even if the trip is free.

MEK terror activities
Mujahedin Khalq Organization as a terrorist group

MEK’s return to terror acts

Recent videos of the so-called rebel units of the Mujahedin-e Khalq show that the group is clearly resorting to armed struggle. As an armed rebel group, with a long history of terrorist activities and eventually a long list of civilian victims, the MEK has never left its capacity of committing acts of terrorism.

The so-called members of the MEK’s rebel units are demonstrated in bizarre videos chanting slogans against the Iranian leaders and the son of the late shah of Iran Reza Pahlavi! However, what is worth to care about is the message given by the gun in the hand of some of the group’s agents in the videos. The guns may even be toy guns as the agents seem illiterate naïve people who have been paid to play their parts in the videos, but it connotes the aspirations of Massoud and Maryam Rajavi for launching violence and terror in the streets of Iranian cities.

The MEK Rebel Unit

The MEK so called rebel units with gun shows that the MEK leaders are to launch violence and terror in the streets of Iranian cities

The MEK Rebel Unit

Are the MEK leaders after terrorizing the Iranian people at streets, as before?

This was quite predictable about the MEK. Today, over a decade after the MEK was removed from the list of foreign terrorist organizations of the US State Department, the group’s supporters still are not granted security clearance to own sensitive positions in the US government. Michael Rubin has clarified it in his article on AEIdeas titled “Why Can’t Mujahedin-e-Khalq Supporters get Security Clearances?”

Rubin concludes that the MEK has far less support than it claims and/or there are other impediments to its members’ entry into federal service. Also, the group’s financial practices and its opaque financial resources appear to undermine the ability of associates to get security clearances.

Rubin continues to warn American authorities about the threat of the MEK. In his most recent article, he reminds them of the FBI document published in 2004. Rubin quotes a part of the document:
“Los Angeles investigation has determined that the MEK is currently actively involved in planning and executing acts of terrorism. The planning takes place at MEK bases in Iraq and at the Auver Sur Oise location in Paris, France. Los Angeles has consensually recorded numerous telephone calls in which MEK leaders at this French location discuss specific acts of terrorism to include bombings. Joint investigation with the French DST and the German Cologne Police Department has revealed similar findings from French and German wire taps.”

Planning terror acts, carrying and using weapons, launching handmade explosives, setting fire in public places are violent acts committed by the MEK. These terror acts are undeniable because the group’s propaganda websites boast of them on daily bases. Human rights activists, the international community, US and Albanian governments should take the responsibility for preventing Maryam Rajavi from spreading terror and intimidation.

FBI report on the MEK
Mujahedin Khalq as an Opposition Group

What Does the FBI Say About the Mujahedin-e-Khalq?

The Mujahedin-e-Khalq (MEK) claims to be Iran’s largest opposition group, even as studies and polls show it has minuscule support. The group embraces a virulently anti-American ideology, operates as a cult, and has notoriously opaque finances. The tax forms of MEK shell organizations show that the supposedly grassroots groups paying honorarium to officials and donations to politicians do not have the resources on their own to do so.

While the organization killed several American military officers and businessmen in Iran in the run-up to the Islamic Revolution, the State Department delisted the MEK as a terrorist organization in 2012. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s move had less to do with any honest assessment of MEK terrorism and more with diplomatic sleight of hand necessary both to sidestep allegations that the United States was protecting a terror organization and to enable the group’s relocation from an Iraq-based camp to one on Albania. That, in contrast to other Iranian Americans, MEK members who are naturalized American citizens cannot receive security clearances or placement in sensitive positions in the United States civil service reflects the true assessment of the FBI and broader US government.

Hillary Clinton

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton enters the Rayburn House Office Building to testify before a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on ‘Assessing U.S. Foreign Policy Priorities and Needs Amidst Economic Challenges’ in Washington, DC, USA, on 01 March 2011. The men in yellow shirts are members of the Iranian-American community calling for the State Department to ‘remove the terrorist designation of the principle Iranian opposition movement, the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK).’ EPA/JIM LO SCALZO

Here, a 2004 FBI document adds clarity to the breadth of US government concerns about the group. Pages 2-4 chronicle a list of MEK terror, directed toward both Americans and, after the MEK’s allies in the Islamic Republic pushed them aside, against Iran. With regard to current terror, the FBI reported:

Los Angeles investigation has determined that the MEK is currently actively involved in planning and executing acts of terrorism. The planning takes place at MEK bases in Iraq and at the Auver Sur Oise location in Paris, France. Los Angeles has consensually recorded numerous telephone calls in which MEK leaders at this French location discuss specific acts of terrorism to include bombings. Joint investigation with the French DST and the German Cologne Police Department has revealed similar findings from French and German wire taps.

It is astounding, given the evidence that the MEK has planned if not continues to plan terror at Rajavi’s residence at Auver Sur Oise, that so many American politicians willingly share a stage and launder such behavior for a paycheck. It is a barometer of corruption and should disqualify from further public policy roles.

The FBI continues to describe the National Council of Resistance of Iran as the MEK’s political branch:

This highly litigious organization has an office in Washington D.C. and commingles it’s [sic] headquarters at the MEK’s Washington D.C. cell location in Falls Church, Virginia. This organization routinely lobbies unwitting members of Congress under the pretext of human rights issues in Iran.

Staffers are doing their members a disservice if they arrange appointments without understanding MEK’s background or tactics.

The MEK also has a tendency to act as late conspiracy theorist and perennial presidential candidate Lyndon LaRouche’s organization once did. Consider this note about the arrest of Suson Azdanloo, the sister of “president-elect” Maryam Rajavi: “Arrested in December 2001 in Cologne Germany in a joint FBI/Cologne Police Department operation. Involved in a complex fraud scheme involving children and social benefits.” That the MEK today parries criticism by citing LaRouche conspiracies to slander journalists, academics, and analysts is likewise telling.

The FBI documents continue to list suggested questions to ask MEK members who are or are not US citizens; the organization’s financial agents; leaders; and defectors. The entire list is worth reading.

It truly is astounding that with so much known about the MEK, so many American and European officials continue to trade their own credibility for cash. Among Iranians, the MEK is politically irrelevant. Within the United States, it should be a pariah. It is time to end the MEK’s scam once and for all.
