Iraq-Iran Parliaments Agree on MKO

Parliamentarian delegations of Iran and Iraq discussed MKO’s illegal activities in Iraq and providing the opportunity of returning to Iran for repentant members of this group.

Members of Iraqi Parliament’s Foreign Relations Committee met a delegation of Iranian MPs on Wednesday. In a joint press conference the head of Iraqi delegation, Homam Mahmoudi, said that a memorandum of understanding was signed by the two sides.

"We discussed the issue of MKO’s presence in Diyala province and it was stressed that Iraqi security forces should establish regulations on the group’s camp and assist those members who are willing to return to Iran," Homam Mahmoudi said.
