ISIS parading the streets of Paris

The heartrending photos and footages of Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIS) mass killings and beheadings shocks every human being. The group claimed that they executed 1700 Iraqi soldiers, posting grisly photos of a mass execution in Tikrit as evidence.

The ISIS widespread crimes against humanity have drew condemnations from around the world, including UN Security Council, UN Human Rights chief, Human Rights Watch, United States, and the Arab League.

The European countries, on the other side, are concerned about the recruitment efforts of the ISIS and thus step up efforts against the group’s activities in their countries.

Spain’s Interior Ministry stated on Monday June 16 that at least eight people were arrested on suspicion of being involved in the international terrorist recruiting network, the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS).

European governments continue to mount security to prevent nationals from being recruited by the militant group and will restrict those returning from fighting in Syria and Iraq from carrying out attacks at home.

Meanwhile, the French authorities allow the major supporter of ISIS hold meetings in Paris, which shows that they are at least turning a blind eye to their citizens’ security.

The terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK, a.k.a. MKO) and it’s political wing, NCRI, which were until recently on the list of the US State Department list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations is organizing a gathering to be held on June 27, 2014.

The video footages of the previous years of the gathering proves that the MKO gathered a large number of people from a wide range of nationalities, including Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Africa etc.

Earlier in June 28, 2013, Alina Alymkulova, who studies Journalism and Mass Communication in Kyrgyzstan, told RFE/RL how she was recruited to travel from Prague to Paris to attend the June 23 rally of the MKO. She said that an advertisement caught her eye which offered "a weekend trip to Paris". “The price was amazingly cheap — round-trip by bus and bed and breakfast at a four-star hotel would cost me only 35 euros ($46),” she added. “I met many Russians, Ukrainians, Czechs, and students from Asian countries who were all recruited via the Internet.

Unfortunately, some former US and European politicians, who were on most part unaware of the group’s past history, attended the gathering.

One certain outcome of this gathering will be improving the spirit of ISIS militants and paving the way for recruiting more European citizens to ISIS. That is very interesting that why the French decision makers are unaware of the threat.

Masoud Rajavi, leader of the MKO whose whereabouts is unknown since 2003, was in cahoots with Saddam’s Baath Party. According to the evidence which became available after the fall of Saddam Hussein, the MKO received millions of dollars in Oil-for-Food program subsidies from Saddam. Some video footage of MKO operatives providing Iraqi commanders with information on Iranian installations during the Iraqi war on Iran, and receiving suitcases of money in return were also found.

The Mujahedin-e Khalq describes the ISIS militants in Iraq as "revolutionaries" fighting against Nuri al-Maliki and struggles for their victory. They have been supporting ISIS since some 3 years ago by backing and condoning ISIS activities in Syria and Iraq. However, the French authorities did nothing, perhaps in a bid to pressure or displease Iran.

But this time, things are going awry, since giving permission to the MEK to hold gatherings stimulates ISIS supporters who has tremendous potential of joining the terrorist group in Iraq and Syria. Hence, the French streets should expect the parade of ISIS and the threat they will bring to the citizens.
