This isn’t the first time Camp Ashraf has been an issue between the MeK, a formerly US-listed terrorist organization with eyes on violent regime change in Iran, as the current Iraqi government enjoys good relations with Iran and wants the camp evacuated. The UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) visited the site yesterday, meeting separately with the camp’s surviving residents and the commander of Diyala’s Police.“Inside the camp, the delegation witnessed 52 bodies in a makeshift morgue,” UNAMI said in a news release, with seven people still missing after Sunday’s attack.
