Iraqi Delegation to Apprise MKO-led crisis

The Iraqi government delegations warn Europe of Mojahedin Khalq’s clear contravention of law

The Iraqi government is reportedly dispatching delegations to Europe to underline facts about The Iraqi government delegations warn Europe of Mojahedin Khalq’s clear contravention of lawMKO’s clear contravention of law and regulations. The delegation expected to have meetings with politicians and reporters in Geneva and Brussels includes deputies from Iraq’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Justice and Human Rights, police and security departments as well as the committee members tasked to facilitate the relocation of the group’s residents from its main military camp, Ashraf, to a temporary transit center (Temporary Transit Location TTL) near Baghdad.

Unyielding behavior of the terrorist group is turning an issue that is solvable in a peaceful way into a real crisis. The Iraqi government is ultimately decisive to close Camp Ashraf and expel the members of the designated terrorist group. So far more than half of the members housed in Ashraf have been relocated to transitory center but the process has been stalled since the arrival of the fifth group of residents on 5 May. To justify its non-cooperative behavior, MKO is inventing pretexts and imposing unacceptable conditions that underpin a blatant breach of an already brokered compromise.

MKO is uncompromisingly refusing to cooperate in transferring the remainders. The Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Iraq, Martin Kobler, has recently expressed his concern about the delay in the relocation of the residents, but what has much concerned him is a possible eruption of violent clashes between the sides. The Iraqi government seeks a peaceful solution to the problem. In contrast, MKO has been, from the very beginning, the antagonist side and the main impediment to the process of relocation. Not only the group prevents the process but also threatens to stand ready for any violent confrontation.

MEK victims warn Lobby groups – "we will claim compensation from MEK beneficiaries"

Critics of Iran’s human rights record are being warned by former MEK members in Europe not to MEK victims warn Lobby groups - "we will claim compensation from MEK beneficiaries"be fooled into giving support to a terrorist cult. The Iranian Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK) wants to be removed from the U.S. FTO list and is using front organisations to lure paid speakers to a campaign rally in VillePinte, Paris on 23 June.

The warnings come after documents were made available to the U.S. Treasury linking an array of front organisation finances to companies and investments controlled by the Mojahedin-e Khalq’s leader. Top MEK members are also directing political support for the campaign through proxy parliamentary groups like Friends of a Free Iran.

Speakers’ agencies are being urged to exercise extreme caution regarding the MEK’s methods for recruiting support. In the U.S., former political and military heavyweights have already fallen foul of this tactic, where several are currently being investigated for aiding and abetting a terrorist entity. Those attending the rally must know they are engaged by organisations with direct links to the MEK.

With the MEK’s financial sources exposed it has become possible for victims to pursue a class action to claim compensation directly from the Rajavis.

Victims of the MEK, including former members who say their basic human rights were denied them for years, have launched a legal case for compensation from the companies which Massoud and Maryam Rajavi use to fund their elaborate and expensive propaganda campaigns. Anne Singleton speaking for the victims said, "Individuals who accept financial recompense from the MEK through its front organisations for speeches or lobbying should know that they can no longer claim ignorance and we will pursue them through the courts to recover money which should rightfully go to compensate the victims."

The MEK was removed from European terrorist lists on legal technicalities but concerns remain at official levels about the group’s propensity to use violence.

In spite of their public bravado, the MEK leaders are facing harsh setbacks. Massoud Rajavi’s stronghold in Iraq is being dismantled by UNAMI. His wife and co-leader Maryam Rajavi was in court last week in Paris to answer to charges of terrorism related activities, fraud and slavery. Other high ranking MEK members are being pursued for murder and terrorism offences relating to Iran, Iraq and France.

Official: No decision yet on Iranian dissidents MEK

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has not moved any closer to removing an Iranian dissident group from the U.S. list of terror organizations, senior Obama administration officials Secretary of State has not moved any closer to removing an Iranian dissident group from the U.S. list of terror organizationssaid on Monday.

Speaking on background with reporters, a senior official said members of the Iraq-based Mujahedeen-e-Khalq (MEK) seem to “think that de-listing is now imminent.”

“We continue to try to impress upon them that there is no such automaticity,” the official said.

Representatives working on behalf of the MEK, also known as the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran, have sued the State Department in federal court to take the group off the terror list.

While the case has dragged on for more than two years, it appeared to move forward June 1 when the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit Court ordered Mrs. Clinton to decide within four months whether to de-list the MEK.

Dispute over the MEK’s status hinges on a group of the organization’s supporters who have been living under U.S. protection at a camp in Iraq since shortly after U.S. troops entered Iraq in 2003.

Now that the Americans have left, the Iraqi government has said it will close the camp. As a result, members of the MEK are being relocated from their present home at Camp Ashraf, north of Baghdad, to Camp Liberty, a former U.S. military base near the Iraqi capital’s international airport under a deal brokered by the U.N.

But State Department officials on Monday said movement of the MEK members has stalled during recent weeks and that representatives of the group have grown less willing to cooperate with the deal.

“The United States remains concerned about the situation at Camp Ashraf and urges the residents of Camp Ashraf to resume full cooperation immediately with the Iraqi government and United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq,” said State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland.

“The United States has made clear that cooperation in the closure of Camp Ashraf, the Mujahedin-e Khalq’s main paramilitary base, is a key factor in determining whether the organization remains invested in its violent past or is committed to leaving that past behind,” she said.

A senior Obama administration official added that “we cannot speak with certainty about the reasons for the MEK’s slowdown in its cooperation.”

The official said the group may have “over-interpreted” the most recent federal court ruling and assumed that its removal from the U.S. terror list is imminent.

The official said that while Mrs. Clinton fully intends to respond to the court’s order by the Oct. 1 deadline, she “retains complete discretion” over whether to take the group of the terror list.

Concern about Camp Ashraf

Press Statement
Victoria Nuland
Department Spokesperson, Office of the Spokesperson
Washington, DC
June 18, 2012

The United States remains concerned about the situation at Camp Ashraf and urges the residents of Camp Ashraf to resume full cooperation immediately with the Iraqi Government and United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI). The United States also urges the Iraqi Government to intensify its efforts to fulfill its commitments to provide for the safety, security, and humanitarian treatment of the residents.

With almost 2,000 former Camp Ashraf residents now relocated to Camp Hurriya, the peaceful closure of Camp Ashraf is achievable, but requires continued patience and practical engagement to be realized. Constructive offers must be met with a constructive spirit, and not with refusals or preconditions to engage in dialogue. Recent publicly-declared conditions for cooperation, including calls for the Department to inspect Camp Ashraf as a precondition for further relocations to Camp Hurriya, are an unnecessary distraction.

The United States has made clear that cooperation in the closure of Camp Ashraf, the Mujahedin-e Khalq’s (MEK’s) main paramilitary base, is a key factor in determining whether the organization remains invested in its violent past or is committed to leaving that past behind. We fully support the path laid out by the United Nations for the peaceful closure of Camp Ashraf along with sustainable solutions for its former residents. The Camp residents and their leadership – both in Iraq and in Paris – should recognize this path as a safe and humane resolution to this situation. Only a peaceful implementation of the Iraqi government’s decision to close the Camp is acceptable, and the Iraqi government bears the responsibility for the security and humane treatment of the individuals at Camp Ashraf.

Paris Court hearing of Maryam Rajavi – Anti-terrorism demonstration

On Tuesday, June 5, 2012 around noon, a group of Iranian residents in France gathered outside the courthouse in the square of St. Michael to deliver their protest against the terrorist Rajavi cult.

French Judges summoned the commanders of the Mojahedin to the courthouse to ask for explanations of the PMOI leaders on the issue of June 17, 2003 and other terrorist acts carried out by this organization on French territory and also in other European countries.

During the demonstration, Iranian and French citizens clearly displayed their dissatisfaction with the presence of terrorism in France. The event took place under the protection of the French police and in spite of the presence of a large number of Rajavi’s agents lurking around the demonstrators. Demonstrators holding the Iranian flag and with flyers in hand shouted”Rajavi is a terrorist”and demanded the expulsion of the dangerous cult from France.

The event attracted the attention of French citizens and raised many questions in the minds of the French. Passers- by asked for leaflets and posed the question, ‘how are these terrorists allowed to stay in France?’ They also wanted the court punish these terrorists and expel them from their territory. France is not the refuge of terrorism.

The event ended with the moral support of the French citizens present at the scene as Maryam Rajavi went to court to answer questions by French judges.

The second part of this protest was held in a conference room in Paris where protesters held a major debate on the issue of foreign terrorism in France and Europe. During this meeting, which lasted two hours, the speakers, themselves victims of the Rajavi cult, shared painful experiences of their lives within the cult. In this debate, the victims of Rajavi presented their condolences and sorrow over the death of Mr. Hadi Shams Haeri, an activist and former member of the PMOI, and also for the death of the father of Mr. Alireza Nassrollahi.

Mujahedin Khalq; A proxy force

MKO, Israel puppets

An investigation by the US Treasury Department has indicated that the terrorist anti-Iran Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) is financially sponsored by Israel.
Some US officials suspect that the terrorist group is funded by Israel in return for conducting intelligence-gathering operations inside Iran and assassinating high-profile Iranian targets, including nuclear scientists.

Human Rights Abuse in the MEK

Delisting MKO Terrorists for Humanitarian Causes!

The emergency issue to be dealt with at the moment is survival of suffering members of MKO

It is a common understanding that terrorists continue their aggressive and parasitic life throughThe emergency issue to be dealt with at the moment is survival of suffering members of MKO violating human rights and breaching the principles of democracy. A modern type is using the pretext of human rights and democracy against adversaries and opponents whenever it suits. It is not surprising to see them proposing annihilation of human beings and supporting the most tyrannical and brutal approaches in order to reach their selfish, anti-human interests. It is not also surprising to see that terrorists who are committing the most horrible crimes, or have the potentiality, are sponsored by the states and supported by the advocates that not only appreciate their bellicose, aggressive attitude of opposition but are also nice to them so long as they are serving as useful servants.

Mojahedin Khalq Organization MKO/MEK/MKI/PMOI strategy of armed warfare that constitutes its organizational infrastructure from its very formation has confronted the organization with a new challenge in spite of its widespread propaganda to convince the West it has made revisions. But it seems that MKO gets much advantage out of an equivocal attitude. In many occasions, MKO has admitted the necessity of armed struggle as an ideological necessity that constitutes the violent ontology of MKO. And that is what the western advocates of MKO expect it more than its chanting slogans of democracy particularly when they are reportedly in a warlike array for hostile purposes against the Iranian regime.

Reported to have spoken on Capitol Hill, General Thomas McInerney USAF (ret) alongside former CIA officer Clare Lopez demanded the US to abandon diplomatic efforts with Iran and to remove MEK from the terrorist list, and prepare for all-out war. They argued that the time had passed to resolve the nuclear issue with Iran, and the US should instead actively pursue regime change by military and covert means. He called for the Obama administration to remove the MEK from the Foreign Terrorist Organization list, which under current law prohibits the United States from working with the group:

“The MEK is being thrown under the bus by the Obama administration. The Clinton and Bush administration also threw them under the bus. It is criminal what has been done there and how we have treated these people who have been such valuable allies to us.”

In their debate over whether to go to war with Iranian regime, hawks once more draw MKO along to pat as a valuable ally, and no doubt it has proved to be. Crime, as they define it, is not the atrocities perpetrated by the terrorists their own administrations have blacklisted for undeniable and sound evidences; it is dismissing the rewards they had promised to provide notwithstanding the undisputable slaughter of many thousands of lives recorded in the group’s nearly half-decade long history of armed struggle.

The hawks’ suggestion to delist MKO as the valuable allay in the battle against Iran once more verifies the fact that some other colleagues definitely put the finger on in the State Department’s report presented to Congress on MKO in 1994, stressing that “They [Mojahedin] established an organization dedicated to armed struggle”. The blatant truth is that they are in need of no human rights activists or seekers of democracy, however hollow the slogans are. They are in need of some names in their propaganda warfare to bully the adversary, however hollow the name is.

MKO is only a name manipulated in a political game to warranty interests, although it does anything in its power to survive, being it blatant violation of human rights and breaching the principles of democracy. To be fair, delisting MKO never helps to liberate its enslaved members but serves the interests of its sponsors and advocates. The emergency issue to be dealt with at the moment is survival of many hundred suffering members of MKO abused at the hands of the group as the pretext of human rights violation.

Iran Arrests Terrorists behind Assassination of N. Scientists

The Iranian Intelligence Ministry announced on Thursday that its forces have managed to arrest the terrorists who had assassinated the country’s two nuclear scientists and a policeman.Iran Arrests Terrorists behind Assassination of N. Scientists

Security forces arrested assassins of nuclear scientists Majid Shahriari, Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan and policeman Reza Qashqaei, the ministry said in a statement.

The criminals are now under the arrest, it said, adding, "The details of the arrest will be made public after lapse of security precaution."

Iran has so far arrested several suspects in relation to the assassination of its scientists.

Western spy agencies, collaborated by the terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO), have assassinated several Iranian scientists in the last three years.

In the fifth attack of its kind in two years, terrorists killed a 32-year-old Iranian scientist, Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, and his driver on January 11.

The blast took place on the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Iranian university professor and nuclear scientist, Massoud Ali Mohammadi, who was also assassinated in a terrorist bomb attack in Tehran in January 2010.

The assassination method used in the bombing was similar to the 2010 terrorist bomb attacks against the then university professor, Fereidoun Abbassi Davani – who is now the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization – and his colleague Majid Shahriari. While Abbasi Davani survived the attack, Shahriari was martyred.

Another Iranian scientist, Dariush Rezaeinejad, was also assassinated through the same method on 23 July 2011.

Reports said that the terrorist attacks on Iran’s scientists were joint operations by Israeli spy agents and the MKO.

The NBC News said in a report in February that Mossad has financed and trained the MKO to assassinate Iranian nuclear scientists.

Two senior US officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, confirmed to the NBC News that the MKO was to blame for the series of assassinations against Iranian nuclear scientists.

"All your inclinations are correct," said one of the officials while speaking about the group’s role in the assassinations and Tel Aviv’s support for the group.

The US officials said the US government was aware of the assassination campaign.

MEK terrorists on SDN list for 9 consecutive years

For 9 consecutive years, Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK, a.k.a. MKO and PMOI) terrorist group has been on the Specially Designated Nationals List (SDN).

Following the publication of the Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) by U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) on June 12, terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization was remained as a SDN, Habilian Foundation reported on Saturday.

The Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) List is a publication of OFAC which lists individuals and organizations with whom United States persons are prohibited from doing business.

In 2003, MKO along with its front organizations, such as National Council of Resistance of Iran were added to the list.

Despite the prohibition, some former U.S. officials have been received big bucks from MKO in exchange for their speeches on behalf of the terrorist group, which prompted an investigation by the U.S. Treasury Department to see whether the speaking fees were being paid by MKO.

Al-Qaida group wants off U.S. terror list

History includes assassinations, breaking oil embargo

Editor’s Note: The following report is excerpted from Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin, the premium WorldNetDailyonline newsletter published by the founder of WND.

WASHINGTON – There are increasing indications that the anti-Iranian Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization, known as the MEK or MKO, is working with al-Qaida to topple the U.S.-backed Iraqi government, even though it seeks to be removed from the U.S. State Department’s terror list, History includes assassinations, breaking oil embargoaccording to a report in Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin.

An MKO defector said the group is collaborating with leaders of Iraq’s dissident groups as well as al-Qaida.

While the MEK has been involved in various assassinations, it has mounted a major campaign in the United States to have its name removed from the State Department’s terror list.

In addition to the U.S., other Western countries also regard the MEK as a terror entity.

Ali Hosseinnejad, who recently defected from the MEK and surrendered to Iraqi military forces, said the MKO leadership wants to topple the Iraqi government of Nouri al-Maliki, who is Shiite and sympathetic to Iran.

In addition to continuing ties with the Sunni al-Qaida terrorist group, Hosseinnejad said the MEK is working with remnants of the regime of ousted President Saddam Hussein, who also was Sunni.

The MEK is against the Iranian regime and had worked closely with the security services of the Hussein government against Iran. It still seeks the overthrow of the clerics in Tehran.

Hosseinnejad also has revealed that the MEK earned significant income by smuggling and selling Iraqi oil when the country was under an international oil embargo during Saddam’s regime.
