Mujahedin Khalq; A proxy force

US and Israel use MEK to commit terrorism-by-proxy

Scott Horton of Antiwar Radio interviewed Philip Giraldi on December13, 2011. In this interview, produced for KPFK 90.7 FM Los Angeles, Former CIA officer Philip Giraldi reprises and expands Scott Horton of Antiwar Radio Interviewed Philip Giraldion his previous interview about his article “Washington’s Secret Wars,” Obama’s newly signed “findings” that authorize covert operations to destabilize the Iranian and Syrian governments, how the US and Israel use the Baluch Jundallah, Kurdish PJAK and MEK groups to commit terrorism-by-proxy, and the MEK’s energetic and well funded campaign to get de-listed as a terrorist group.

Philip Giraldi, a former CIA officer, is a contributing editor to The American Conservative and executive director of the Council for the National Interest. He writes regularly for Antiwar.com.

Below is a brief report on the interview published by Habilian Association.

Philip Giraldi, former CIA counter-terrorism officer and executive director of the Council for the National Interest was interviewed by Scott Horton on Antiwar Radio and elaborated on US and Israeli efforts to destabilize Iran above all the latest assassination.

"I think that’s people who have been recruited by either CIA or Mossad and have been trained and sent back into Iran," said Philip Giraldi regarding the assassins of Mostafa Ahmadi-Roshan, Iranian scientist assassinated in Tehran on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, Habilian Association database (families of Iranian terror victims) reported on Wednesday.

The contributing editor to the American Conservative Magazine added that, "I suspect they (assassins) were recruited out of MEK (Mujahedin-e Khalq) which is why we’re seeing so much stuff in support of MEK coming out of various politicians and other interest groups."
"Because MEK is kind of their boys, their cutting edge in terms of getting inside Iran and carrying out these kinds of operations," Giraldi further explained.

"Because MEK is kind of their boys, their cutting edge in terms of getting inside Iran and carrying out these kinds of operations," included Giraldi, adding that having been an experienced CIA case officer, "I understand how the stuff works a lot better than somebody in a newspaper."

He went on to say that a Mossad or CIA officer does not have the ability to go inside Iran and carry out an operation, concluding that they have acquired somebody else who can do it for them "and in this case there are some obvious candidates, MEK (Mujahedin-e Khalq, MKO) would be I think the most prominent."

He made reference to US and Israeli actions against Syria and Iran and emphasized that in the case of Iran they know they cannot overthrow the regime, adding that, "it’s the question of setting up a bunch of relationships and employing various covert actions to destabilize (and) to make the Iranian government waste a lot of resources on dealing with these problems."

Former CIA agent Philip Giraldi also described the assassinations of Iranian scientists as "to be somewhat ineffective."

France

Mojahedin Khalq final destination is France

Open letter to the President of France Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy

Honorable President
The subject of our open letter to Your Excellency is about the terrorism and specifically pmoi ( People’s Mujahedin Organization) which you have been familiar and acquainted with them since Open letter to the President of France Mr. Nicolas Sarkozylong time ago but we want your acquaintance with them become more transparent and more tangible.

We are a group of separated members of pmoi or we would better to say the victims of pmoi who have separated from them and currently we are living in Europe. The very important affair and event about Mujahedin is happening in your country and Europe has created lots of concerns and anxiety among Iranian people, international society and us.

Among Iranian people, your country is very famous for its democracy and freedom but despite of its reputation, your country has been the host of a dangerous terrorist organization for 3 decades. The terrorist group which took advantage and misuse of the democracy and freedom in your country for years and because of that they were confronted with the rules of law in your country and finally in 1986 they were forcibly and unwillingly left the French soil temporarily and they transferred themselves to Saddam Hussein’s Iraq. The pmoi organization ,which later were employed by Saddam Hussein’s notorious and horrifying security and intelligence service, began suppression and oppression of Iraqi Shies and Kurds and they become completely devoted to Saddam Hussein himself and his government.

This group , as a result of too many facilities and too much fortune which had gained them from Iraq , became very swanky and arrogant and in 2003 when their political and military consumption date finished , they began looking for fulcrum and a foothold in Europe , they chose France again for implementing their objectives and as a result of that Maryam Rajavi arrived in Paris in a hurry but later she ,as a result of taking advantage of French democracy and freedom , was confronted with the French rules of law and its regulations but she ,in stead of paying homage to the French law and its regulations , began blackmailing the law and judiciary system and ordering the members of her organization to do self immolation in public.

You ,who were then in the position of French interior minister , said perfectly about their blackmailing essence and nature which they are one of the most brutal and savage terrorist organizations in the world.

Mr. President

Your statement about pmoi is completely genuine and your recognition of this organization which has passed its test in suppression , torture, mass killing and dictatorship under the sovereignty of Saddam Hussein , has caused the satisfaction of the Iranian opposition groups as well as the victims of this brutal organization, but it is a surprise for us that you ,by the pretexts of democracy and political problems which you have with Iranian government , are still hosting of this terrorist organization , whereas the war against terrorism has been continuing throughout the world , and terrorism by its criminal ideology is blackmailing and taking advantage of the democracy and freedom and victimize the people specially the terrorists who have learned all kind of tricks , suppression , plot, and etc under direct supervision of Saddam Hussein and by the fortune which they earned it in Iraq , they continue their plots, deceitful policies , enmity and threat in Iraq and France against people specially against their former victims .

Mr. President

Terrorism by the ideology of deceit , threat and violence , has not changed its nature and essence and it will not. They have utilized the same method and they have been using violence to preserve themselves and gain the power more than 4 decades and during those decades they have proven throughout the world that they do not know any other methods except violence and they have never tried other logical, rational and modern methods. They have never tried to solve their internal problems by allowing their own members to stress their point of view and outlooks and outside of their internal relations , they have never tried to exchange views with other Iranian opposition groups, and in stead they always utilize force and threat to go forward.

Mr. President

Apart from the terrorist forces who came to France a long with Mrs. Maryam Rajavi in 2003 after the fall of Saddam Hussein , during recent weeks as a result of the pressure of Iraqi people and their government , they were forced to take some of their devoted and trained members out of Iraq and put them at Maryam Rajavi ‘s terrorist and warmongering service .

The pmoi forces ,by different pretexts and by taking refuge , have begun coming to Europe and their final destination will be France . They will continue using their method such as deceit, threat , and violence against the critics by taking advantage of the democracy and freedom which exist in Europe specially in France. They will continue their terrorist methods . They will continue threatening and intimidating their critics and victims by utilizing the tools and facilities which they have gained them in Iraq and by taking advantage of the democracy and freedom in European countries.

They have not regretted yet for their violent and dire past which they had in Iran, Iraq, and Europe but in stead they have been following their past experiences and they use them as a pattern for their future activities and their current propaganda substantiate and prove it clearly.

Mr. President

The achievements and democratic values as well as the freedom which European people specially French people have gained during recent centuries but today they have been all ridiculed and misused by this terrorist group , do not allow them to misuse those values and achievements for their objectives and goals. They will have no benefit for your country except violence, revenge, vengeance and crime . they have proven in the past that they do not and will not respect their host , their behavior and attitude toward Iraqi people and their government prove our claim, so we urge you as the president of France and the representative of French people , not to allow this terrorist organization to misuse your democracy and freedom to carry out their objectives on your soil. According to the information which we have gained recently and Massoud Rajavi ,the pmoi spiritual leader ,has spoken about that in one of his recent speeches , this terrorist group after their failure and fiasco in their warmongering policies and expulsion from Iraq , they are supposed to take revenge of their opponents on Europe and French soil and by this tactic they want to accuse their opponents in Europe for their failure in their terrorist policies . the pmoi spiritual leader reiterated and emphasized to his forces quote ¨ when you leave Iraq to go to Europe , you should keep your war mongering morale and attitude with you in there, because these are the secret of your persistence¨, end of the quote.

Respectfully
Iran Fanous cultural and political club ,Germany

Human Rights Abuse in the MEK

Leaders Of MKO Abused our Human Rights in Camp Ashraf

The letter of a group of the freed and human rights activists in France to the honorable Amnesty International in Paris

Honorable director of Amnesty international The letter of a group of the freed and human rights activists in France to the honorable Amnesty International in Paris

We are a group of freed and liberated people from Rajavi’s cult who are currently living in Paris, we would like to draw your attention to the facts which we experienced them bitterly during our stay in this cult;

1. The pmoi( People’s Mujahedin Organization ) has been recognized as a terrorist organization throughout the world and from the day one of their foundation , they established their strategy and policy on violence , terror , and mass killings and they have perpetrated many violent and terrorist crimes against Iranian people.

2. By having the knowledge of this fact that pmoi has been the first organization which has begotten and expanded suicide missions in the middle east and currently they are following it with more progressive methods than before.

3. By confirmation of this fact that the security and the well being of the separated members of this cult throughout the world has been threatened consecutively by the Rajavi’s terrorist cult and these separated members have confronted with variety of dangers and also inside the Ashraf castle , the leaders and operatives of this organization have created and established the same terror and slow death for their captives and dissidents in there.

4. By having the knowledge of this fact that the pmoi has been listed and categorized as a foreign terrorist organization in the US state department terrorist list since 1997 and they have remained in that terrorist list since then.

5. By having the knowledge of this fact that many of those stranded captives do not want to stay under the tyrant domination of Rajavi , but Rajavi does not allow them to leave the organization and nobody has been informed and heard that what has happened exactly against the dissidents inside the Rajavi’s prisons and because of that the cult leaders have been carrying out any possible harassment comfortably against the dissidents inside Ashraf.

You should be also informed of the following facts ;

1. The people residing in Ashraf camp do not have any authorization to communicate with each other freely by no means.

2. The dissidents should not leave their designated perimeter .

3. Every night , the dissidents should face the brainwashing and indoctrination sessions which is accompanied by swearing , curse and insult.

4. The residents of Ashraf camp are not allowed to meet and visit their family and their loved ones.

5. The people who show their willingness to leave the organization , they will be facing harsh punishment in collective sessions such as swearing , curse , insult , beat up and incarceration to pipe down and change their minds .

6. The residents of Ashraf camp who are living in the Ashraf concentration camp, consecutively have been forced to watch and listen to the Rajavi’s audios and videos and Organizational Anthems as well as the fake and false movie clips about the freed and separated members and their connection with Iranian government to insult them and terrorize the dissidents of their future decisions .

Honorable director of the Amnesty international

Now with all these facts which mentioned above , you should judge that under those fatal and slow death and horrifying and scary circumstances , is it true that all humanitarian organizations specifically your honorable Amnesty international are the only one who are able and capable of helping those stranded captives?

By hoping for the best that you pay enough attention to the captives’ voice and their painful and agonizing condition .

Mujahedin Khalq; A proxy force

Strange Bedfellows in the Conflict with Iran

As the European Union prepared to consider tough new sanctions against Iran on Monday, a group of eminent Americans was cozying up here to an exiled Iranian opposition group that the Washington's favorite terrorists, Mojahedin KhalqUnited States classifies as terrorists.

Even undeclared war makes strange bedfellows, and none more so than the former politicians, generals and spooks on the panel at a conference in Paris on Friday evening and their hosts, the People’s Mujahedeen of Iran.

In its checkered history, the P.M.O.I. has been accused of murdering American servicemen, was involved in not one but two invasions of the U.S. embassy in Tehran during the Iranian revolution, and allied itself with the Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein.

More recently it claims to have provided information exposing details of Tehran’s attempts to produce a nuclear weapon, while vigorously denying widespread speculation that it might have assisted in recent unexplained assassinations of Iranian nuclear scientists.

Western governments, including that of France where the group’s leadership is based, regard the Mujahedeen as more of a cult than a political movement.

Presiding over Friday’s conference in the old Bourse building in Paris was Mariam Rajavi, the movement’s leader and wife of its founder, Masoud Rajavi. He has disappeared from public view, perhaps emulating the Hidden Imam of the Shia Muslims .

Dressed in a familiar outfit of a modest but brightly colored suit and matching headscarf, she was greeted with chants of “Mariam, Mariam,” from the almost exclusively Iranian audience.

Americans on the international panel included General Hugh Shelton, former Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff; Rudy Giuliani, the former New York mayor; and Michael Mukasey, former U.S. Attorney General. Other panelists included Philippe Douste-Blazy, a former French foreign minister.

Gen. Shelton told Rendezvous he believed the U.S. had a sworn obligation to protect Mujahedeen refugees being evicted from Camp Ashraf in Iraq by a hostile government in Baghdad.

Camp Ashraf was a heavily armed encampment under Saddam Hussein from which Mujahedeen fighters attempted to invade Iran at the end of the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war. They were driven off. Today they enjoy little support in their home country, in spite of Mrs. Rajavi’s claims to lead the main resistance to the Islamic Republic, apparently because their efforts were seen as treacherous by many Iranians.

In the 2003 war that unseated Saddam Hussein, U.S.-led coalition forces attacked Mujahedeen military units but subsequently a ceasefire was arranged. Before the conflict, the Rajavis had repaired to their long-time base in the Paris suburb of Auvers-sur-Oise, which French anti-terrorism police raided in 2003, seizing millions of euros.

“There’s no longer any reason to keep these people on the terrorist list,” said Gen. Shelton, expressing an opinion that has won widespread bipartisan support in Washington, as my colleague Scott Shane has reported.

The P.M.O.I. — also known by its Persian title Mujahedeen-e-Khalq — has used a seemingly bottomless budget to push its case in the corridors of the U.S. Congress and to finance international meetings to maintain its profile.

Despite that, the State Department has adamantly refused to remove the group from its list of foreign terrorist organizations. A U.S court ruled in 2010 that the government must allow the PMOI a chance to rebut unclassified information the government used to justify its designation, Legal Times reported at the time.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has the matter under consideration.

The Mujahedeen fears the administration wants to keep a diplomatic line open to Iran in the escalating nuclear dispute. “Did you see those reports of Obama sending a secret letter to Tehran,” said a Mujahedeen insider knowingly.

Listing the P.M.O.I. as terrorists is the one thing on which Washington and Tehran agree and a delisting would be certain to derail any diplomatic initiative that might be under way.

As things stand, U.S. and European policy is to squeeze Iran economically until sanctions force it to yield on the nuclear issue.

The next step in that campaign will focus on Brussels, where European foreign ministers are moving toward a phased embargo of Iranian oil.

Qatar not MKO’s next destination

Ahmed al-Shikaki emphasized on Saturday that his government adheres to the good-neighborliness with neighboring countries and emphasized that “Qatar is not MKO’s next Ahmed al-Shikaki, political researcher at the Study and Research Center for the Arab and Mediterranean Worlddestination.”

Ahmed al-Shikaki, political researcher at the Study and Research Center for the Arab and Mediterranean World, emphasized on Saturday that his government adheres to the good-neighborliness with neighboring countries and emphasized that “Qatar is not MKO’s next destination.”

According to Habilian Association database, Ahmed al-Shikaki stressed that Qatar in broadening relations with Iran does not pay attention to problems such as (different) language and race. "We cannot ignore the grounds of friendship and cooperation between Iran and Qatar," he added.

“Qataris are completely knowledgeable about this terrorist group and by no means let it to impose negative effect on the relations of the two countries," al-Shikaki said when asked about Qatari people’s knowledge about MKO.

The Iraqi government considers Mujahedin-e Khalq terrorist group as a threat to its national security and has repeatedly vowed to close their headquarters in Iraq, Camp Ashraf.

Nouri al-Maliki recently said, “we will no longer tolerate the presence of the MKO on Iraqi soil. This is an internationally sanctioned terror organization. It has not only carried out assassinations against political and religious personalities in Iran but it also has a bloody record in Iraq.”

Iraqi Authorities' stance on the MEK

MKO has no right to remain in Iraq, says Iraqi ex-minister

Former Iraq’s minister for tribal affairs pointed out that MKO is a terrorist group and it is on the list of state sponsors of terrorism, adding that they have no right to remain in Iraq “since the country’s (Iraqi) constitution prohibits presence of terrorist groups on its soil.”Jamal al-Battikh, member of the Iraqiya White bloc

According to Habilian Association database, a member of the Iraqiya White bloc, Jamal al-Battikh, recently told the press that Mujahedin-e Khalq is a terrorist group.

Former Iraq’s minister for tribal affairs pointed out that MKO is a terrorist group and it is listed as a terrorist organization internationally, adding that they have no right to remain in Iraq “since the country’s (Iraqi) constitution prohibits presence of terrorist groups on its soil.”

“Moreover, this organization is accused of committing crimes against Iraqi people," added al-Battikh.

Last week Iraqi MP Hassan al-Sari said that “a joint operation between United States and Mujahedin-e Khalq terrorist group for instigating a revolt in Iraq is not unlikely.”

Al-Sari expressed his worry about plans of US and MKO to weaken (Iraq’s national) security and increase tensions in Diyala, Baghdad, and other cities, adding that the reason for his concerns is the common interests between the two sides as well as ongoing US supports for the group (Mujahedin-e Khalq), which its inhumane crimes have been proven.

Mujahedin-e-khalq Organization Members

750 Mojahedin Khalq members ask to return to Iran

Iranian Ambassador to Iraq Hassan Danaifar says nearly 750 members of the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) have expressed readiness to return to Iran.

A file photo shows a member of the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MKO)
holding his weapon as he stands guard near the terrorist group’s
base in Camp Ashraf in northern Iraq.

Danaifar had earlier announced that Iran had pardoned all the residents of the Camp Ashraf except for less than 100 individuals who have criminal records.

The Iranian ambassador said on Sunday that Iran would not grant amnesty to the ringleaders of the terrorist group, adding that “those whose hands are not stained with the blood of Iranian citizens will be pardoned.”

Danaifar noted that during UN envoy’s visit to Camp Ashraf, the majority of the group expressed willingness to return to Iran in Iraq; however, the MKO leaders do not allow them to leave the camp and they have “somehow taken those members as hostages.”

The MKO, which has carried out numerous acts of terror and violence against Iranian civilians and government officials, fled to Iraq in 1986, where it enjoyed the support of Iraq’s executed dictator Saddam Hussein and set up the camp in Diyala Province, near the Iranian border.

The terrorist group is also known to have collaborated with Saddam in the bloody repression of the 1991 Shia Muslims in southern Iraq and the massacre of Iraqi Kurds in the country’s north.

Iran has repeatedly called on the Iraqi government to expel the group, but the US has blocked the expulsion by mounting pressure on the Iraqi government.

The MEK; Baath Party Accomplice

MKO hanging in a vague future and past !!!! (Part3)

One important issue that should be noticed is about the organizations funds and expenses of which I obtained some films and documents of former Baath intelligence service. It was also mentioned in some of interviews I had [with former members of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization]. The former Iraqi Baath regime extensively supported the group both financially and militarily and funded it with hundreds millions of dollars and Iraqi Dinars. A dozen packages of 400 thousand dinars were paid to the MKO, according to a film recorded in 1986 by former Iraqi intelligence. We are well aware of the exchange rate of dinar versus dollar at that time. “Most of these funds were invested in large American and European firms and banks and the benefits resulted from those investment are spent for running the organization but the support from former Iraqi regime wasn’t limited to this,” says Mr. Hassan Azizi. "The families of MKO spies who worked for Iraq inside Iran and were arrested by Iranian MKO hanging in a vague future and past !!!!government were also paid monthly salaries (based on the documents obtained of former Iraqi intelligence service, issued on February 2nd, 2000). Besides Iraqi Baath regime, Arabic states of Persian Gulf including Saudi Arabia used to fund the organization. In one case when [Rajavi] returned from Iraq he said in a meeting,’ it was a prolific trip. "

One of the most important financial resources of the organization was “information selling”. This is done by a large spying network which is working under the supervision of the MKO. It sells the extensive intelligence it gains from all over the world to countries willing to have them.

Besides, they reach large amounts of funds for committing terrorist operations planned by certain authorities.

All former members whom I interviewd, speak of the legendry wealth of the organization and nobody is aware of the sources. Mr. Hassan Azizi and Mr. Abbas Sadeqi suggest:”if you have a detailed look at the MKO’s foreign policies, you can come to the idea that the organization shares one objective with countries such as Israel, the US and Arab states of the Persian Gulf and that is the overthrow of Iranian government which is considered as their biggest enemy, and regarding this common interest you can recognize the source of most of financial support the MKO enjoys.”

The Khalq Organization or the Cult of Rajavi has so far sustained terrible strokes that have led it to a cul-de-sac and a total bewilderment. The strokes were:
1. A large number of members left the group after it moved to Iraq (in 1980’s)

2. Shaabanieh revolution. It can be called the beginning of an end for the MKO. Mr. Mehdi Naderi, another defector of the group and Mr. Hassan Azizi and Mr. Abbas Sadeqi Nezhad, all confirm the fact:

“At the time of the first Gulf War in 1991, the leaders of the organization told us in a statement that a few brigades of Iranian forces disguised in Kurdish and Shiite clothes wanted to attack the organization’s bases. They allegedly intended to demolish the group. Thus, the group authorities distributed a large number of forces of the National Liberation Army in strategically crucial locations of Iraq such as Sulaimanbeig, Kefri, Jalula, Khaneqein and certain Shiite areas. As the result of the operation, 25000 of Iraqi children, women and men were massacred.

However, some of forces of the NLA who were told that these innocent people were Iranian revolutionary guards, abstained from the order consequently they were shot and killed by the organization’s artillery. Following Shaabanieh Revolution many of MKO members doubted about what had taken place in that operation. Some found out about the organization’s secret deals so they left the group and went to other countries.

3. After the collapse of the Baath Regime, American forces disarmed the group. You can definitely come to the conclusion that the organization that was completely dependent on its arms in all stages of its activities lost its existence. Thus, the MKO’s activities shifted to covert Iraqi politics. They paid big bribes to certain pro-Baath politicians, supporting them in their election debates. For instance I quote from Mr. Mehdi Naderi:”while the provincial council elections in Iraq, some of the candidates received their advertising posters from Camp Ashraf.”
