Iraqi tribes’ representatives meet with families of Ashraf residents

On Monday October 4th, 2010 a number of Iraqi tribal nationals from Salahuddin Province including Doctor Nafe’ and Ms. Dm-i-Ali offered their sympathy to families who are on strike in front of Ashraf gates. Iraqi journalists were also present at the meeting that lasted a few hours.
Iraqi tribes' representatives meet with families of Ashraf residents
Mrs. Abdullahi [a mother of an Ashraf resident] representing the Iranian families told the visitors:"we have been here on strike for nine months, suffering the worst situation. Our single request is visiting our loved children of whom some have been captive in Camp Ashraf for two decades. The cult of Rajavi refuses this small wish to fulfill, since it is contrary to its cult-like substance."

The tribe’s deputies said that they had had no idea of the families strike at Camp Ashraf and MKO had abstained to respect such a reasonable right.

They promised to pursue the case in Iraqi judiciary and media. Some of the visitors were so impressed by Mrs. Abdullahi’s words and her words brought a tear to their eyes.listening to her with tearshat they couldn’t help their tears.

During the visit a few recently defected members of MKO also spoke to the audience by clarifying the current atmosphere ruling the cult. Their descriptions caused extreme wonder among the attendees.

Mrs. Maleki Letter to the US Secretary of States concerning MKO

Dear Mrs. Hillary, Honorable Secretary of State

Respectfully, I would like to introduce myself before anything else. I am an ex member of Mojahedin Khalq Organisation (MKO). In 1990 I became an outspoken critic of what is know as the "forced divorces" and special relations between the organisation and Saddam Hussein, the ousted dictator of Iraq. I was imprisoned for a few months in solitary confinement inside camps of Mojahedin Khalq Organisation in Iraq. I am living in Switzerland now.

I would like to inform your Excellency that the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran was founded in 1965. Its ideology is a combination of Marxism and Islam.Their ideology is based on fighting against capitalism and they believe that the United States of America is the symbol of global capitalism and they call the USA ‘the World-Eater Imperialism’. Their ideological principle and objective is based on fighting against the United States and its interests, and in this regard they have written and published many books such as, The Carter Presidency (World Eater Imperialism). With such an ideology and approach which exists in the Mojahedin, they began their terrorist operations against American citizens and American offices located in Iran in 1971.

As a result of the terrorist operation which happened in 9/11 in the USA, every country became Batoul Malekiastonished and confused at such brutal and barbaric acts, which targeted thousands innocent people in the twin towers, and all these countries and their governments condemned such brutality and savagery. But, surprisingly the PMOI’s operatives and leaders threw a very big party in Bagherzadeh Garrison in Iraq and celebrated that incident and showed their admiration for that terrorist act by dancing, shouting and congratulating one another in front of their leaders, Massoud and Maryam Rajavi.

Massoud Rajavi was on the stage and while he had his hands on his waist he began a war cry against the USA, and in his admiration for Osama Ben Laden and his organization, Al Qaeda, he said, ”This was fanatical Islam which trembled and shacked the basis of US Imperialism and they destroyed the twin towers which were the symbol of their power, and successfully reduced it to rubble through their successful mission”. Then he (Massoud Rajavi) with a smile on his face continued his war cry and said, ”What will happen to the USA if revolutionary Islam with our Ideology and Maryam’s leadership comes to power, then this paper tiger (the USA) will be destroyed as a whole.”

After the downfall of Saddam Hussein, all the PMOI members underwent various interviews for recognition of their identification by the US State Department’s agents, the CIA, FBI, and specifically US Military Information section MI. They gained a huge amount of very valuable information from the PMOI members – all of which documents and information substantiate and prove that the ideology and the strategy of the PMOI are all anti-western, and particularly anti USA.

The US State Department has justly listed the PMOI and its political wing the National Council of Resistance (NCRI) as a terrorist organization in its terrorist list. While the State Department listed them as a terrorist organization, it did not have the valuable information which it now has now. In a report that was published in 2005 by the US State Department regarding the terrorist organization list, it mentioned justly that the PMOI is a potential threat and is a very dangerous terrorist organization. In that report it was mentioned that the PMOI has the potential to become a dangerous organization in any period of time because of their special terrorist training and cohesive organizational structure. For instance, on 17th of June 2003 when Maryam Rajavi was arrested by French Police, PMOI leaders ordered their members to set themselves on fire in public streets. If there was no complaint and protest from the international bodies and humanitarian organizations against this kind of brutality and savagery, it was still going to become one of the biggest of human catastrophes.

I must stress that even though the State Department reports of 2005 and 2006 are not complete, that the report shows that this organization is a religious cult.We think the MKO in Iraq is finished, especially after the fall of Saddam Hussein and his government. The Iraqi Government wants to assert its sovereignty, regain its property, the garrison, and they do not want to keep those people on their soil who cooperated fully with Saddam Hussein against their people. So now we should ask ‘why do the leaders of a cult terrorist organization want to keep the Ashraf,s garrison?

We have enclosed a small sample of the evidence which has already been made public concerning the MKO. The charges against the MKO and in particular its leaders include but are not limited to: crimes against humanity and war crimes inside and outside Iran.

With many thanks and regards

Batoul Maleki

The MEK to launch Armed Struggle

Rajavi Cult starts armed struggle against Iraqi government

Following the direct order of Massoud Rajavi to start attacking the Iraqi police and increase insurgency in the country, the remaining forces of the cult of Mojahedin Khalq in Iraq attacked the police force in order to stop them carrying out their duties, including the establishment of a new security post inside Camp New Iraq (formerly Ashraf).MKO starts armed struggle

The communiqué issued by the terrorist cult admits that it was the Mojahedin Khalq (aka; MKO, MEK, NCRI, Rajavi cult) who instigated the attack on the Iraqi police force, and the police force have been forced to defend themselves.

It is obvious that the leaders of Mojahedin Khalq terrorist cult fear that the establishment of this new post will facilitate the disaffected members and hostages taken by the cult having greater access to the Iraqi forces and make it harder for the cult leaders to stop them from taking refuge with the police.
…
The new developments shows that the leadership of the cult is in no mood to accept personal freedom of the members and that using violence and attacking the police has been the last resort to stop Rajavi’s hostages escaping from the garrison.

Interview with Alireza Einakian, MKO former member- Part2

Mr. Alireza Einakian could manage to run away from Camp Ashraf after midnight of September 7th 2010. His escape was successful due to his courageous innovate plan. The following is the interview with Mr. Einakian by Sahar Family Foundation:

SFF: now that you could release from Camp Ashraf, how do you feel?
Mr. Alireza Einakian could manage to run away from Camp Ashraf after midnight of September 7th 2010
Mr. Einakian : Before my escape, I had no idea of Iraqis organized procedure. I just wanted to get rid of Ashraf in any way. Because of MKO’s propaganda about the outside world, everyone hesitated to leave the camp. For example, they said that the hotel – where I stay now- is the center of corruption. When I first came here, I expected to see what the organization’s leader had told us, but I was surprised to see that nothing was so as what they had said. I was not willing to visit the agents of Sahar Family foundation because in the organization, they had demonized it a lot, but then I found out that all of that false propaganda was opposite to what I saw with you. When you first introduced yourself, I was really shocked but I believed your honesty after I listened to you. First I decided to use a false name, then I said to myself that living with lie is enough.
The organizations propaganda on SFF has caused the members to panic even the name of this foundation.
During the twenty-five years of my life in Ashraf I really remained retarded of normal life. It is impossible to compensate.

SFF: Didn’t you have an organizational marriage during your membership in MKO? What do you think of marriage and having a family? Why does MKO oppose to marriage?

Mr. Einakian : No. I didn’t get married even organizationally but I would like to have a family. I think God has created men with this instinct and marriage is not contradictory to religion, morality and etiquette and it is highly recommended. If there was a problem with marriage, prophets would never get married.
The organization claims that obligatory divorces are along with [the regime’s] overthrow and it will release the members’ energy. But in fact not only their energy wasn’t released, but also their minds got more involved in sexual issues. Later they claimed that forced divorce was executed to liberate men and women. They said that was for your whole life and you would not marry again even after the overthrow. Actually we were all busy working too hard and we didn’t realize how Rajavi tricked us in to his malicious goals.

SFF: What motive caused you escape the organization?

Mr. Einakian: In fact my main disagreement with MKO was "forced divorce". I had no deep, internal faith in it. I wondered how a man (Rajavi) had absolute power over others. I couldn’t tolerate the officials humiliating and insulting me anymore. They verbally abused members in their meetings but all facilities are in their hands. The low-ranking members ought to labor very hard. The internet was only used by high-ranking female members because Rajavi didn’t trust male members.

I know it’s too late to compensate but I try to convince myself that I have time to live but I know I have lost a lot of opportunities and I consider Massoud Rajavi as the only responsible for my current situation. If I had known what was going to happen in MKO, I would have never joined it. Under the rule of Rajavi, you could only experience pressure and tension. So I decided to end the issue. I asked myself why I don’t live in freedom for the rest of my life; why I should waist my life in MKO.

Today a new topic is being discussed in MKO:"Eradication of sexual issues". It means that you should confess anything you think of. Primarily you shouldn’t think of sexuality but if it crosses your mind, you should report it in the meeting. I was always worried about those meetings, my mind was all the time involved with such problems. I always asked:"Oh God! When will the meetings finish?"
All those numerous meetings had no benefit, no result. I concluded that I had to escape Ashraf and finally I succeeded to run away.

SFF: How is the relationship of UN authorities in Iraq (UNAMI) with MKO?

Mr. Einakian : This was a confidential issue and ordinary members had no idea of such relationship. In case of any visit with the authorities, the group’s leaders would let us know by a brief report. This would happen occasionally not as a routine job.
The organization tells UNAMI that the members are afraid of their coming to Ashraf and in this way the commandants prevent UNAMI’s access to rank and file members. I think that UNAMI officials should contact MKO’s low-ranking member outside Camp Ashraf so the members feel comfortable to talk to them.
Once UNAMI had installed a station in Camp Ashraf, MKO had also installed an inspection station in order to stop members going to UNAMI station. Today UNAMI has no office in Ashraf.

I suppose that the presence of UNAMI officials in Camp Ashraf cannot solve the problems since the members are not able to talk to them in a free atmosphere. The commandants have been ordered to monitor those who are problematic (or as they call) "weak circles". The visit should be held outside the camp and without the presence of MKO authorities.

US Government’s Secret Plans for Iran

Report: Markus Schmidt, John Goetz

"these are terrorists, but there is a big difference between being my terrorists or yours.” Ray McGovern, ex-CIA

Sonia Mikich: "After Baghdad, now Teheran, the next war? Condoleezza Rice, the US Secretary of State is in attendance in Europe and praises the efforts of the Europeans to solve politically the atomic controversy with Iran.

That is one signal of American foreign policy. The other one: Pressure is to be finally made on the regime in Teheran. George Bush said clearly yesterday in his speech that Iran is the major supporter of terrorism. And again, the US leads the war against terrorism. This is well known.

A military strike on Iran – the film script has been written long ago, and its logistic preparations are underway. The allied ones are on the ground. Markus Schmidt and John Goetz have this report:

George W. Bush, yesterday night, appeared for the start of his second term of office and his message: America will carry democracy into all world.

George W. Bush, US President : "Iran remains the major international sponsor of terror. It strives for nuclear weapons. This evening, I say to the Iranian people that “if you take a stand for your own liberty, America stands at your side.”

The option of military strikes is still on the table and is being prepared. And these fighters (MKO) play an important role. They call themselves Mojahedin-e Khalq of Iran, MEK. They are mortal enemies of the Iran Government. In their videos they praise their impact force. Thousands of fighters for a new Iran. But for the US State Department, and also for the European Union, they are considered as terrorists, on the same stage with Al-Qaeda. Is MEK today the secret ally of the US? Ex CIA agent McGovern has no doubt.

Ray McGovern, ex-CIA-civil servant: "why the US cooperates with organizations like the Mojahedin, I think, is because that they are local, and because they are ready to work for us. Previously, we considered them as a terrorist organization. And they exactly are. But they are now our terrorists and we now don’t hesitate to send them there to Iran."

Here in the Pentagon the threads gather where the Iran Plan is being run since the autumn of 2002. Here is the power of Neo-Conservatives. For them, Iraq is only an intermediate step for toppling the ruling power in Teheran.

Karen Kwiatkowski, ex Pentagon official: "In the autumn 2002, when the president was campaigning to get the agreement for the invasion to Iraq, the ‘office for special planning’ was looking at Iran. And Neo-Conservatives thought about how to proceed with Iran. In their conception of the world, Iran has long been a target."

"For years, the Pentagon has tried to lift the MKO’s name from the terrorist list and to recognize it as a resistance force. For the war planners, they are the “born allied” ones, trained in sabotage technology, and disciplined."

Ray McGovern, ex CIA civil servant: "They are sent now over the borders into Iran for the usual secret service activities: attaching sensors, in order to supervise the Iranian atomic program, mark targets for air attacks, and perhaps establishing secret camps to control the military locations in Iran. And also a little sabotage."

Karen Kwiatkowski ex Pentagon official: "MKO is ready to do things over which we would be ashamed, and over which we try to keep silent. But for such tasks we exactly use them."

Flash back:

The history of the Mojahedin is as brutal as it is bizarre. Their ideology: a mixture of Islam and Marxism, their practice: Terror…

The 60’s: Fight against the Shah, murdering US soldiers [sic] in Teheran.

1979: Revolution beside Ayatollah Khomeini.

The 80’s: Breaking with the Mullah’s regime, fighting underground, performing military operations due to which many civilians died.

1986: MKO leader, Rajavi left exile in France, under the pressure of the government in Paris. His new host: Saddam Hussein, ruling power of Iraq and mortal enemy of the Mullahs. Saddam showed up generously, gave the bases, supplies and heavy weapons.

May 2003: US tanks scroll up 100 km, to the headquarters of the Mojahedin north of Baghdad. The MKO itself, hands over all heavy weapons without a single shot fired during the operation. The MEK is the only terrorist group in the world, with which the US army cut a deal. And still another characteristic: Their fighters in Iraq are given protected persons status under [the Fourth] Geneva Convention.

US soldier, May 2003: "the Mojahedin explained their preparations to deliver their weapons. They may carry small weapons for self-defense, but they have agreed to hand over their large weapon systems and tanks to the coalition troops."

The spokesmen of Mojahedin give themselves the status of statesmen and say: “No, they are not puppets of the US.” They audaciously praise themselves and add: “Mojahedin was first in uncovering the secret atomic plants of the Mullahs." But now they want to be rewarded for this, and it means that they want their name off the terrorist list.

Mohammad Mohaddessin, MKO spokesman: "Cooperation with Americans? They control us and naturally protect us too. Our units in Iraq form only a very small part of our movement. We have thousands and thousands of supporters [in] Iran."

But behind the scenes, MKO fighters have good relations with Americans.

We visit the ‘Global Option’ private business, which is specialized in military training world-wide. After investigations by Monitor, it becomes clear that the company employs military trainers from the Mojahedin and coordinates all cooperation needs on behalf of the Pentagon. Asked about this intermediary role, the answer is vague: ‘Cooperation, yes. There is bilateral recognition, but direct receipt of money for the services of the company, no’.

Neil Livingstone, Global Option: “MKO, a long time ago, said goodbye to terrorism. It was stupidity in fact to put them on the US terror list, a kind of tranquilizer for the Iranian government. A concession to get the negotiations go faster. We do not cooperate with MKO. I was their guest, I promoted them in Congress, without getting money. I have had good relations with them since a long time ago, for 30 years."

Another informed source speaks words contradictory to those of Livingstone. Pat Long, former department manager in the military secret service, says to Monitor: Global Option has been taken up as buffer by the Pentagon in order to hide the Pentagon’s relations with a terrorist organization from the public.

Pat Long, ex civil servant of Pentagon secret services: "Secret Services adopt security measures in their operations to which we can’t link the orders of government. So, if the operation fails, one can claim that the government has had no role in it and that there were other hands involved.”

Reporter: "and these ‘others’ is Global Option?"

Pat long, ex civil servant of Pentagon secret service: "I exactly heard that.”

"They are again in business. This time not beside Saddam Hussein but at the side of the US: always useful, always a puppet in the hands of powers."

Ray McGovern, ex CIA civil servant: "these are terrorists, but there is a big difference between being my terrorists or yours.”

MEK Camp Ashraf

Urgent call on all judicial authorities and the international communities and the media

A number of families of the members caught inside the Rajavi cult in Iraq have been picketing for nearly nine months in front of the cult’s base called new Iraq garrison (previously Ashraf) demanding to meet their seized loved ones.Sahar Family Foundation once again warns about a humanitarian catastrophe occurring within the cult and inside Ashraf garrison

After three months of sit-in, given that the cult leaders prevent any sort of contact of the families with their loved ones, they decided to use megaphones to let their relatives learn about their presence outside the garrison.

Despite the fact that the distance between the families outside the main gate of the garrison (Asad Gate) and the members being caught up in sectarian settlements was large, but cult leaders installed hundreds of powerful speakers inside the base and established strong regulations prohibiting domestic traffic at three kilometers from the sidelines of the garrison and other restrictions applied, to prevent families communicate with their loved ones.

After many approaches and repeated requests from the Iraqi government, some of families were allowed to be stationed at the South Gate of the garrison and they could call their loved ones using speakers.

According to the information received from within the garrison by Sahar Family Foundation, the voice of the families has been heard by the trapped members inside the garrison and this has had a great impact on them and they have even questioned the leaders on the lies about the presence and intention of the families.

The information suggests that the cult leaders had even decided to move people to another place inside the garrison to prevent them hear the voice of the families, but in terms of moving settlement was very difficult and it would create more questions among the members they did not do so.

News also indicate that the cult leaders intend to open clashes with Iraqi forces in order to let a number of their members being killed and injured in this way and then Rajavi can temporarily overcome controversial problems inside his cult and stop the internal protests taking place.

Rajavi also has threatened that if he cannot go out of the current impasse, on the end of the term he would create "species of Ashura" for the members. This means that like many cults in the past such as Jim Jones cult in Guyana and the cult of David Koresh in Texas, Rajavi would destroy all members of his cult.

Sahar Family Foundation once again warns about a humanitarian catastrophe occurring within the cult and inside Ashraf garrison and calls on all Iraqis judicial authorities and international conventions as well as all the media to act on this issue to let the families meet with their loved ones before the occurrence of such a human tragedy.

Help the hostages taken by terrorist Mojahedin Khalq

Open letter to Secretary of State Mrs. Hilary Clinton
From Mr. Ali Ghashghavi, Iran Green Association, Germany, October

Dear Secretary of State,
I would like to introduce myself and give you a brief history of my experience with the MojahedinOpen letter to Secretary of State Mrs. Hilary Clinton From Mr. Ali Ghashghavi, Iran Green Association Khalq and their conduct in Iraq during the time I was a member. I have been treated with Dark Age kinds of torture and inhuman conduct on the direct order of the leadership of Mojahedin Khalq (MKO, MEK, Rajavi cult) only because I rejected the training and execution of terrorist activities. I was brought to their so called courts, forced to sign and confess to whatever they asked me and was sentenced to death. Subsequently I was sent to Abu Ghraib prison of Saddam along side other disaffected members of Mojahedin Khalq to serve long sentences. This is the time that Saddam was under pressure by the US government as well as much of the international community. With the fall of Saddam the benefactor of Massoud Rajavi leader of Mojahedin Khalq, I managed to free myself and now live in Germany.

I am writing this letter only to remind your good self of the situation of the people who are still trapped in this organisation. Now, years after the fall of Saddam, many of the captives inside this organisation are still trapped and have not achieved their basic human rights. The silence of the international community and the open hand given to this terrorist religious cult within the western lobbies including in your country US, has encouraged the group to increase its abuse of human rights and continue its spread of terrorism and hatred in free societies.

This way of life has been continuing for the last two decades in the closed camp in Iraq. A way of life which is more like an exercise of deliberate hostility toward the modern world and a way which is dreaming using the cult and cultish experiences to gain power over the civilised Iranian society. A dream obviously doomed to fail. After losing all credibility amongst Iranians over the last few decades, the cult is now trying to portray a picture of political opposition for itself by taking the internal critics as hostages.

After the September 11 disaster, the group celebrated the event and distributed candy etc in the presence of their leader Massoud Rajavi. They broadcasted every song and march they had for the celebration of the assassination of the American servicemen who they had killed in previous years in Iran. They clearly showed how distanced their way of thinking is compared with the normal social feelings of normal people in free societies.

Considering the backward mentality of terrorists who can even cheer for terrorist acts against innocent people, it seems that helping people to free themselves from Mojahedin Khalq terrorist organisation is a necessity.

Mojahedin try to hide their true face under the disguise of made up human rights names and groups so that they can stay in Iraq with the hope of one day starting their terror campaign again. They are also trying their best to come off the list of terrorists in US for the same purpose. The history of Mojahedin Khalq and the way they are treating the families of their victims inside their camp in Iraq clearly shows their vast differences with normal people. They are clearly demonstrating their true belief that “you are either with us or against us”
It is good to see that the State Department has included the name of National Council of Resistance (NCRI) in the list of terrorists as a another name for Mojahedin Khalq but we believe that there should be less tolerance of this organisation and certainly more help to free the ones who do not wish to continue working for this terrorist organisation.

The families of the victims of this terrorist cult, some of them have not seen their loved ones for the last two decades, are now picketing in front of the camp for the last few months demanding visiting rights to their loved ones. But the Mojahedin cult not only deny any proper response to their demands and questions, they are now clearly using the captive dissidents inside the camp as hostages to their goals.

Today everyone knows that the presence of Mojahedin Khalq and using them as a tool in political games not only has no benefit to the people of Iran[…]

Your sincerely,
Ali Ghashghavi

MEK Camp Ashraf

Delegation asks A.I. to help rescue Rajavi cult hostages in Camp Ashraf

Honorable and distinguished President of Amnesty International in France Madam. Genevieve Garrigos

As you are well informed through many revelations which have been accomplished by many freed and rescued former members of pmoi (Rajavi’s cult) in recent months , since eight months ago many desperate elderly people who are the family of some of those captivated membersDelegation asks A.I. to help rescue Rajavi cult hostages in Camp Ashraf inside the military garrison ,so called Ashraf base located in Diyali province ,the township of khalis, have been picketing to show their complaint and protest against the pmoi’s leadership and operatives who do not allow them to meet their loved ones in Ashraf which is one of the preliminary rights of any human being. Those mentioned families have been badly threated by the operatives of pmoi whom in many occasions have passed and violated the red line of human rights charter. I would like to draw your attention to some of those violations which are as follows:

The pmoi operatives have slandered and accused those honorable families ,who are mostly elderly people, by bringing some of their brainwashed members to swear and curse those families .

The high ranking members of this cult have attacked those families in the groups of 40-50 and in one occasion one of the woman commanders with the name of Hengameh Haji Hassan attacked those families with a sharp cold arms to harm them but fortunately her vicious and violent act was thwarted by Iraqi police who were present at the scene.
The pmoi leadership have forced and coerced some of their brainwashed members to participate in pmoi TV program so called Simayeh Azadi to swear and accuse those elderly people whom are their relatives. If those chosen miserable members refuse their leadership orders , they will be badly punished and pestered by the operatives of pmoi.

The tough security measures have been carried out inside Ashraf garrison by the direct order of pmoi leadership based in France specially after the escape of 6 members from Ashraf garrison. Two of those escapes have occurred recently , but two other escape attempts were failed and they got arrested and beaten up by the operatives of pmoi.

The people who succeeded to escape mentioned that the leadership of pmoi has intimidated all the members of being tortured and killed by those elderly families and Iraqi police if they try to escape from Ashraf garrison .

The pmoi leadership has mentioned and pointed out that the Iraqi government does not allow those families to meet with their loved ones but this statement is completely untruth and is a big lie which pmoi leadership by telling it wants to cover the real reason.

We are former member of pmoi and human rights activist urging and entreating all human rights organizations specially Red cross organization and Amnesty international to step forward and intervene in this humanitarian incident and force pmoi leadership to allow those families to see and meet their loved ones whom have been deprived of having any sentiment and love to their families because of tough and vicious cultic regulations and policy for a long period of time.

Best Regards

Interview with Alireza Einakian, MKO former member- Part1

Mr. Alireza Einakian could manage to run away from Camp Ashraf after midnight of September 7th 2010. His escape was successful due to his courageous innovate plan. The following is the interview with Mr. Einakian by Sahar Family Foundation:

SFF: what does an MKO member do in a typical day in camp Ashraf?
Mr. Alireza Einakian could manage to run away from Camp Ashraf after midnight of September 7th 2010.
Mr. Einakian: There are some general programs to plan the members’ daily schedule so there is so little time left for members’ personal affairs. Since the wake up time in the morning – which changes according to the season – until lunch time, you have to work continuously. After lunch there is a short break time, then you should attend the meetings in the afternoon. Then its exercise time and then the members should have dinner. After dinner, members might attend meetings again otherwise they have to listen to special tapes. Thus, at the end of a working day, you are so exhausted that you just fall asleep. There will be a great problem if you are supposed to stand guarding at night! The mentioned schedule is carried out on weekdays but in the weekend (Thursday and Friday) the plans change. The members believe that the weekends’ schedule is worse than that of weekdays because they have to attend numerous meetings held one after the other. It is so bothersome.

SFF: How about manipulation meetings and the reports members are supposed to write?

Mr. Einakian: Everyday when you attend Current Operation meetings, you should write about at least three or four sins you committed before attending the meeting, during the day. If you write nothing or very few facts about yourself, you will be criticized by your peers in the meeting.
The "layer meetings" are held every other day.
You should attend them while you have certainly written a report. In case you haven’t written a report, you will be the subject of the meeting; you will be insulted and at the end you will have to sign an engagement letter to promise that you will bring a report for the following meeting.
On Thursday afternoon, they usually hold a weekly brainwashing meeting in which members of the same rank should attend. Every individual should read his sexual moments [moments of sexual thoughts]for his peers and make a conclusion. I usually tried not to listen to the others’ facts after reading my own ones because while listening to their sexual thoughts I myself would have sexual thoughts too.

SFF: in order to prevent members from escaping the camp, what obstacles have the organization imposed?

Mr. Einakian: To bar the members from runaway, they control all departures and arrivals to the complex at night. You cannot simply leave the building. On the other side, the commandants have some control systems to control members, especially low-ranking members. The control is particularly heightened in collective ceremonies. There are also some patrolling cars to control all trafficking in the camp. When the Iraqis are closer to the members, they increase guards to stop the members from joining Iraqi forces. The male commandant of each unit is constantly present to prohibit any escape.
They have highly restricted trafficking in street 100 in order that they can prevent escaping from the cult. Members should traffic in groups of at least two people. They have forbidden trafficking at night.
In the collective meetings where Massoud speaks to the audience, he claims that anyone who leaves MKO is the regime’s spy who breaks the saint oath so he will turn in to pig. He actually tries to frighten the members.
They say that the defectors are taken to Hotel Mohajer which is a center of corruption and in which IRI’s intelligence agents wait for them to turn them into spies. That way they frighten the members and put them under pressure. Thus the members are always in an internal, mental fear of leaving the camp.

SFF: how did it go on July 28th and 29th 2009 when the group’s members encountered Iraqi forces?

Mr. Einakian: Generally when something is signified as "Red Line" in MKO, it means that you should never pass the Red Line. Last year, on July 28th and 29th , the entry of Iraqi forces to the camp had been defined as "Red Line". Iraqis arrival in the camp was like a taboo. On the other side, there were Iraqi forces that were determined to enter the camp in order to install their police station. The authorities of Camp Ashraf didn’t want to let them come in the camp. They didn’t want them to know about what was going on in Ashraf.
That was the start of clashes. When the members were ordered by their commandants to prevent Iraqi forces from entering the camp, the clashes began and lasted until night and ended with the death of eleven residents of Ashraf.
In my opinion the only person who is responsible for the death of those people is Massoud Rajavi since the main line of such a reaction [to Iraqi forces] was under his order. Female commandants of Ashraf including Mozhgan Parsaiee control various sect of the camp. They analyze those incidents saying that they have to stop Iraqis from getting into the camp otherwise they can install everywhere in the camp and we cannot deter their influence.
Actually, they were afraid of the member’s easy access to Iraqi police. They even forbade the members to go out of their units when Iraqis finally were able to arrive in the camp. They forbade any contact with Iraqi forces.

Human Rights Abuse in the MEK

Letter of Miss Babaee Nezhad to the International and humanitarian organizations

In the name of God

I am Maryam Babaee Nezhad, daughter of Ja’far, 21 years old, living in Gazvin in Iran.
My mother was three months pregnant when my father who was a soldier in the Iran-Iraq war was captured by the Iraqis and became a prisoner of war. Many years past and I had no news from my father.

My grandfather Ali-Akbar became my guardian. After a while we were informed that my father has disappeared and following that we learned that he became a martyr.

For years whenever I wanted to talk to someone, I used to look at my father’s picture and I used to talk to him for hours. I had accepted the fact that I am an orphan.

Two years ago the Nejat Society in Iran contacted my grandfather and informed him that they have learned from the ex-members returning from Iran that his son (my father) is still alive and living in the Ashraf garrison the base of Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) in Iraq.

That day when my grandfather came home I noticed that his eyes are full of tears. I asked instantly: “Oh grandfather! For God sake, please tell me what has happened”. He hugged me and then said: “My dear daughter, your father is alive”.

When I heard this from my grandfather I felt like a fireball. All I remember is that I screamed and I started crying and fall into the arms of my grandfather.

Oh God what is it that I am hearing? Is it true? Is my father alive? And I used to repeat these words continuously.

I told my grandfather why he is siting and doing nothing. I ask him to go and see my father immediately. He sighed and said: “I wish he was still a prisoner of war in the hands of Iraqis. As they say he is now with the MKO and Saddam Hussein gave him to them and apparently he is not allowed to see his family. As it appears in their cult even passing letters or contacting the family or anyone outside Ashraf garrison is forbidden”.

My grandfather said that he would do his best to approach Ashraf garrison with the hope that they might let him to visit his son.

Since I learned that my father is still alive and I cannot even call him I have cried day and night. After long waiting I eventually came to the gate of the Ashraf garrison along with my grandfather 5 months ago.

For two months I cried on a closed gate day and night and I called for my father, but the commanders of the garrison refused to let me see my father for even one hour after 22 years. I got sore eyes and had to return to Iran to undergo an operation on my eye.

I could not tolerate being away from my father. I had no motivation to study and I was ever so anxious to see my father. I insisted my grandfather to take me back to Iraq with the hope that may be this time they let us see him.
When my grandfather saw that he cannot calm me he took me back to Iraq to the gate of Ashraf garrison. This time I saw that many other families are picketing there.

Ms. Sorayya Abdollahi embraced me like her own daughter and asked about my eye. I asked her if they have let the families to see their loved ones. She said with sorrow: “No my daughter. But during this time several members have managed to escape. I hope that your father be able to escape one day and cuddle her loved one”.

During this time in front of the gate of Ashraf garrison I called my father several times from the loudspeakers. I do not know if they allow my father to hear my grief.

The doctors say that if I keep crying my other eye would be infected too and that is the case at the present time. Now that Massoud Rajavi (leader of MKO cult) does not allow me to see my father I prefer to go blind and not see anything at all. A girl in my age needs a father but my father is seized by a cult.

I call upon all international organizations and humanitarian activists in Europe and in America. Come and see how Rajavi is playing with the emotions and destiny of a 22 years old girl whose wish is just to see her father.

I call upon all those who claim they fight for human rights and yet support Rajavi and his cult. Come and see how this group is dealing with its own members and their families.

I long for my father. Who should I say this? Mr. Ban Ki-moon? Mr. Obama? The Iraqi authorities? The Iranian authorities? Who?
