Iraqi Authorities' stance on the MEK

The presence of MKO in Iraq is against the law

Within its 1700 GMT newscast on 6 August, Baghdad Al-Iraqiyah Television in Arabic the channel carries the following report: "Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has said that his forthcoming visit to Turkey will seek to enhance Iraqi-Turkish relations at all levels. Al-Maliki added that the visit is part of a government plan to upgrade security and economic cooperation with Iraq’s neighbors."

The report cites Al-Maliki as saying: "This visit comes in response to an invitation by the Turkish prime minister to view bilateral issues and files. Needless to say, one of the files we will discuss is security cooperation to face terrorism and the terrorist challenges which the region in general and both countries in particular are witnessing. The Turkish side has expressed a strong desire to conclude economic agreements and pave the way for Turkish firms to take part in the reconstruction process, especially in the central and southern areas."

Al-Maliki adds: "The Iraqi Government will not allow Iraqi territories to become the launch pad of acts that can harm the interests of the others. Likewise, we will not allow Iraq to become a haven for illegitimate or terrorist organizations acting against any neighboring country. This, in fact, is stated in the Constitution. We are keen that no neighboring country is harmed by acts coming from Iraqi territories."

Commenting on his upcoming Iran visit, Al-Maliki says: "Here again, the same files will be raised, including security cooperation and the Mojahedin-E Khalq organization, which is viewed as a threat to Iran’s security and which is classified as a terrorist organization. The presence of this organization in Iraq is against the law and the Constitution. In addition, there are other common issues related to borders, water, and cooperation at the economic, oil, and power levels."

MKO Backlash against Al-Maliki’s Recent Remarks

On the eve of his visit to Tehran, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al- Maliki once more reiterated the expulsion of the terrorist MKO from Iraq. Speaking to Al-Iraqiya television on 6 August 2007, he said, “The presence of MKO in Iraq is detrimental to Iran’s security. This organization is in the list of terrorist organizations and its presence in our territory is tantamount to ignoring rules, regulations and the constitution.’

Al-maliki’s remarks have annoyed the terrorist group to such an extent that it could not hold back its indignation. In an angry backlash against al- Maliki’s statement, released by NCRI site, the group slanderously condemned him and other Iraqi officials:

There is hardly any doubt that Mr. Al-Maliki and other officials in his government are the main sources of the problems in Iraq as they endeavor to realize the sinister objectives of the Iranian regime. For this reason, a majority of Iraqis view the removal of the Al-Maliki government as the first step in improving the situation in Iraq. Currently, 17 cabinet ministers have boycotted the cabinet.

It is surprising that Mr. Al-Maliki described the presence of PMOI in Iraq as being detrimental to the security of the Iranian regime. It is not clear as to whether Mr. Al-Maliki’s first priority is to safeguard the security of the Iranian regime or that of the Iraqi people, who are being massacred and mutilated ruthlessly on a daily basis by the mercenaries of the religious fascism ruling Iran.

Of course, al-Maliki’s first priority is security of Iraqi people and it is accomplished if terrorism is uprooted and the terrorist groups, supported by the coalition forces, are expelled from Iraq. For sure, a neighbour country’s security guarantees its neighbours” immunity against threats and terrorist operations. It is a country’s right whether to grant asylum to the aliens or expel them if they threaten the social and political security and impudently condemn a national decision as tantamount to the perpetration of war crimes:

In light of the obligations and commitments of the Iraqi government to international laws, in particular International Humanitarian Law, the sacred right to asylum and the Geneva Conventions (specifically the common article 3 of the Conventions), any violation of these obligations as they relate to the residents of Ashraf City, and as suggested by Mr. Al-Maliki, is tantamount to encouraging the perpetration of war crimes. The National Council of Resistance will, therefore, take this case to international bodies.

The presence of MKO in Iraq is not consistent with the Iraqi constitution and laws and it is a responsibility that falls inside of the mandate of Al-Maliki and his government to confront terrorism, whether the terrorists like it or not.

Iran says US destabilizing Iraq

Iran’s deputy foreign minister maintains that Americans are preventing the Iraqi government from establishing security by training terrorists.

Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Mohammad-Reza Baqeri made the remark in the Iranian holy city of Mashhad.

Baqeri said, during the recent negotiations, Iran had asked the Americans why they would not allow the Iraqi police to use up-to-date weapons, why they could not establish security in Iraq with over 150 thousand soldiers, and also why they ignored the fact that certain groups are becoming armed in Iraq.

Providing refuge for the widely recognized terrorist group MKO, not giving full authority to the Iraqi government over security matters and training terrorist groups were other questionable US activities the Iranians mentioned, said the deputy.

Baqeri emphasized that Iran had negotiated with the US with the sole purpose of helping the Iraqi people and their government.

He also added Iran’s stance towards the US would not change unless it changes its offensive domineering attitude.

Terrorism ugliest phenomenon

Iranian President: Mojahedin Khalq Terrorists function under the aid of the occupiers of Iraq President: Terrorism ugliest phenomenon

President Ahmadinejad has stressed the ultimate need for a campaign to uproot terrorism, a word he defined as the world’s ugliest phenomenon.

In response to an invitation extended by President Abdelaziz Bouteflika for a 2-day official visit, the Iranian President arrived in Algiers at the head of a high-ranking politico-economic delegation on Monday.

At a press conference in Algeria on Tuesday, the President noted that deviation from divine values in today’s life is one of the key elements giving rise to terrorism.

The President noted that certain powers who advocate double standards, occupation, the use of pressure and rights violation to further their own interests are the main root of terrorism, IRNA reported.

Ahmadinejad further indicated that the Zionist regime, while enjoying the support of imperialist powers, is now committing the worst act of terrorism in Palestine by killing women and children.

The chief executive said both Iran and Algeria are the victims of terrorism.

He also identified that we witness the unfortunate activities such that of the anti-Iran terrorist group of MKO which functions under the aid of the occupiers of Iraq such as developed support from US Congress.

Ahmadinejad said the US, under the pretext of ‘war on terror’, occupied Iraq, spreading terrorism around the world.

I am Raymond Tanter’s wife and I would like to make a statement. I married Raymond Tanter May 14. 1999 being a widow living in New York City. I was innoncent to what his work was about but he asked me to become his research assistant and help him promote his work, in fact many letters are written on Georgetown Letterhead how I helped him, how he benefited from my work…I traveled to France London, walked the Halls of Congress promoted what I thought was the Freedom for Women of Iran and all around the globe.

Raymond and I traveled the globe together working in Vienna, etc. and I attending events at the State Dept. and other places helping him as his wife. I hosted parties for him in our Trump Tower apartment…I got him speaking engagements, at the WNRC in NYC, at the BEST social clubs in New York and elsewhere…. I took him to my clubs and gave him my apt NYC ….now I find myself homeless, yes he locked me out of our apartment in ALBAN TOWERS in Washington DC he keeps two not one apartment for himself. He will not pay my dental bills, eye glasses or other medical emergencies. I AM in shock with threats to eliminate me and most of the information is in HOUSING COURT where Raymond Tanter fails to pay on one of our three apartments to make me homeless….he did this in SEPT 2006 the month my mother died after have her in 4 hospitals in 32 days. He threatend that if I did not sign off the lease and perhaps giving up my condo marital rights of the other apt. 507 which he used to work with IPC MEMBERS AND ALIREZA displaces me into another unit that they and yes I say they because they all knew he was making me homeless for no reason……..He apparently is now married to the to the

MEK……I am now in court but awaiting court orders. Raymond got into clubs in Washington using my social clubs as his which is untrue, he was never a member of those clubs,,,,then he refused to pay my bills since I could live there…He used my friends, many of high circles including their money in the hundreds of thousands of dollars…..he also took generals and their wives to Paris leaving me homeless with 13 cents in my pocket and without the good church I would be hungry….I worked years for him and am in the process of suing for my promised wages by my attorney.. and Raymond still is living the high life…..fooling many….However I married him as a widow former widow of a Wall Street MNYSE…a man of great character….I thought Raymond was a good man but he fooled me ..he still keeps a checkbook with his former lover in Ann Arbor MI Mia Saverino….some friends of Ann Arbor have come to me and said they are not supprised ….. have missing funds from my deceased husband’s life insurance and well I can tell you this because all you have to do is go to DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA HOUSING COURT FIRST IN ARSCHSTONE SMITH V. CONSTANCE AND RAYMOND TANTER…YES Raymond went to housing court refusing to pay rent on our extended apartment to make me homeless when I would not sign off units he now holds,,,,because I believe of the condo rights status,,,,since we moved into unit 507 in June of 2001…..which give lots of value should the ARSCHSTONE DEAL GO THREW the largest private equity deal in the UNITED STATES HISTORY……so you see Tanter is not a nice man…he speaks of women’s rights but he has made his former researh assistant and partner and friend…..homeless after he took all he could get out of me…I pray for his soul daily, because I thought married a good Christian. I have many Jews as friends, Muslims, all faiths…I am white and I recently noticed that Raymond an African American never has even one African American intern or any African American around him.

We had a good marriage I thought and he whispered much in my ear of love and committement and never abandoning me……he whispered much of his internal work and clearly involved me…My photos and media is all over Europe. and in Iran…I still believe one thing…..all people have the right to be free…

Raymond Tanter abuses his own wife…..so perhaps you might want my story how the once happy man I married , we danced at balls, and were friends on the tennis court and went to church and were happy….I was promoting his books and his works and the works of his friends….now I have no idea who he is..>I have been told I am a Mortal Threat but what human being makes a wife homeless stealing not one but two apartments….my clothes my life are in storage….Jack Andresen I married before had an Uncle in Congress for 34 years, his other Uncle Andrew Fleischer invented the blood pressure machine and his other Uncle was Arschbishop Raymond Ettelldorf of the Vatican in Rome.

I am banned from going to my dear friends at Alban Towers since he made a point to keep me isolated from family friends and living in fear of my very well being and life…..One might ask who ‘s spell is he under. Alireza took my place as Raymond’s wife…..or at least he took my home space and life….I met Alireza’s family and I liked them…I was kind to all and well now that watch me being abused and threatened and do nothing…Do the Generals know who are on the board that Raymond is doing all of this…I think not..They took their wives on thousands of dollars to a trip to Paris…I was in Paris in June of 2004 as Raymond asked me to speak and I even introduced Dick Armey….I thought this group was for the rights of women and democracy….but if that is true then why are they helping do this to me….Calls should be made on this issue and I am taking interview so when you email me identify yourself I am looking for a literary agent at this time….My story is inside the box and it needs to be told…>I loved Raymond when I married him…he apparently had other motives for marrying me……….I pray for Peace and love for all people in our world…I pray that all get to speak when they wish to do so..Last July 25 2007 a man was kept from speaking in the Caucus Room at Cannon Building because Raymond did not wish him to…My hand was ignored when raised….I will not be ignored, threatened by death threats or discredited I will fight back for my rights and for my property……I would hope someone out there will listen. The public record of the divorce is Tanter v. Tanter in DC depositions are public record and of course. I am exhausted but people need to know first hand……I am an abused wife….17 years younger of Raymond and I tried to get him to speak with our Minister he would not…….I wonder has he become a member of another religion? thanks and God Bless our World.

Duplicity of the MEK nature

The Least Required Qualifications for the Custody of Iraqi Children

It was earlier discussed that Maryam Rajavi’s announced readiness to take care of 1,000 Iraqi orphans and pay for all their expenses in Camp Ashraf is supposed to be a bid to attain certain political interests and especially to strengthen her group’s foothold in Iraqi soil. Hardly can it be considered a humanitarian move since Mojahedin’s phased ideological revolution had already targeted destabilizing relative emotional attachments of the insiders and conceptualizing the idea that the leadership is the focal point of absolute love and devotion. Conjugal attachments and familial affections had to be sacrificed for the leader; the outcome was forced ideological divorce of the spouses and separation of children from their parents.

Suppose that MKO’s suggestion is for a good and humanitarian cause. There are globally adopted minimum standards that had to be met for children foster care and guardianship is subject to certain rules. According to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, “States Parties shall ensure that the institutions, services and facilities responsible for the care or protection of children shall conform with the standards established by competent authorities, particularly in the areas of safety, health, in the number and suitability of their staff, as well as competent supervision”. Thus, any individual or organization that intends to take care of children has to meet required benchmarks according to adopted laws of a country concerning child care and welfare.

Although in some details different because of the regional, cultural, and religious considerations, countries in their jurisdiction consider sever qualifying regulations for the guardians and custodians. There is a unanimous agreement that they have to be subject to no limitation and entitled to no especial protection and assistance. Moreover, they should be liable to no prosecution for charges against them and accused of no criminal acts and abuse particularly done against children. Above all, they should be financially eligible and it has to be ensured that the guardianship does not result in improper financial gain for those involved in it.

Considering the least qualifications for the custody of children, now the question is that are Mojahedin qualified enough to take care of Iraqi children? First, they have to be subject to no limitation and entitled to no especial protection and assistance. It is broadly known that Mojahedin’s members are restricted in Camp Ashraf that is regarded as a military camp rather than a residential complex. At the present, no child lives in the camp and all children have been already evacuated to Western countries and most of the members are held against their will. Even their stay at the camp is transient since the Iraqi government is determined to expel all the members who are under the supervision of Coalition Forces that designated the members as “protected persons” under the Geneva Convention and posted guards at their bases since 2003.

In respect of criminal acts and charges, regardless of many instances of inter-organizational liquidations, MKO has committed many hundreds of assassinations and political killings as well as shedding blood of many innocent children and civilians according to its own officially issued military communiqué. Its globally proscription as a terrorist group by the State Department, the EU’s country members and some other countries is a telling evidence of its countless perpetrated atrocities. There are also evidences of the members’ children receiving ideological and cult educations and harsh military trainings in MKO-run hostels and basis scattered in Western countries.

Is MKO eligible financially to foster Iraqi orphans? According to the State Department’s report, “Before Operation Iraqi Freedom began in 2003, the MEK received all of its military assistance and most of its financial support from Saddam Hussein. The fall of Saddam’s regime has led MEK to increasingly rely on front organizations to solicit contributions from expatriate Iranian communities”. French prosecutor general had earlier on March 19 requested the anti-terror court to add new charges against MKO and the leader of the group Maryam Rajavi. The new charges are reported to be money laundering and fraud charges added to the previous case which includes connection with terrorism and saboteur groups. In Germany, the government investigations uncovered Mojahedin’s illegal financial activities where it abused the members’ children, who had been evacuated during the first Gulf War, to beg in the streets. In general, the group’s funds are the pile of no clean money.

Now, does MKO meet minimum standards that are required to qualify it for the custody of Iraqi children? Where the MKO members’ children were illegally deprived of their rights and even their identity and freedom, for which the leaders have to stand trial, how the cult’s leader presumptuously announces readiness to take care of innocent Iraqi orphans? Of course, that is clear that the Iraqis never consent to see their orphans out of frying pan into the fire.

The cult of Rajavi

Manipulated Cult Techniques for the Abuse of Children

Mojahedin-e Khalq’s internal revolutions, known as ideological revolutions, surfaced the group’s latent capacity to transform into a cult. Gradually and through cleverly developed phases, the Rajavies established a cult of personality that shared characteristics with other previously established similar cults. In the same way, the Mojahedin cult is manipulating cult techniques and undemocratic modus operandi to exploit the insiders under the pretext of campaign for the accomplishment of freedom and democracy in Iran. Forced marriages within the organization resulted in inescapable birth of children although some recruits were spouses with children.

1- Mojahedin have exploited children for collecting money under the disguise of charity work in European countries and many charity institutions were duped by the group’s sham-charity activities.

2- Children have been forcefully separated from their parents and deprived of the warm bosom of the family.

3- Children have been abused by Mojahedin-run propaganda machine to win political and social support.

4- The children of dissatisfied members have been taken as hostages within the organization to prevent the parents’ detachment.

5- Children have gone through hideous cult techniques and brainwashing methods and inspired with hate and enmity as well as receiving military training and ideological teachings.

6- Children have been imprisoned along with their parents who were accused of vague organizational allegations.

There are much more instances of child abuse to discuss, all of which disclose the variety of manipulated cult techniques. Amazingly, the techniques are nearly shared in most cults; children are sent into the public places in organized teams to collect funds under the guise of charities and foundations that foster homeless, orphan and abandoned children. Elaborating on one of the instances of exploiting children for illegal fund-raising activities Thaler Singer, the author of Cults in Our Midst, states:

In another case, a woman objected to her fund-raising team leader that it would be lying to people to say cult members were collecting money for a children’s home when they knew the money went to the leader’s headquarters. She was told, "That’s evidence of your degraded mentality. You are restoring to our leader what’s rightfully his, that’s all! [1]

Those who are familiar with MKO to some scale are shocked to see the awful similarity in justifying the abuses. The difference is that while the leaders of some cults are brought before the tribunal for harsh maltreatment of children and forced cult abuses that are plain violation of their rights, MKO’s leader have so far escaped trial for political causes:

In 1986, William A. Lewis, sixty-three-year-old leader of the Black Hebrew House of Judah in Michigan, was convicted of conspiracy to enslave children and causing the 1983 beating death of twelve-year-old John Yarbough in an act of discipline. In 1988, fifty-three children were removed by law enforcement officials from a group called Ecclesia Athletic Association, following the beating death of eight-year-old Dayna Lorae Broussard. The children raised in the group could not read and but knew the Book of Romans by heart. Children aged three to eighteen were forced to run long distances and perform drills and exercises to earn money. The dead girl’s father, who was the group’s leader, and seven other members pleaded guilty to a federal charge of a conspiracy to deny civil rights. Earlier, four Ecclesia followers were convicted of manslaughter in the case of the young girl’s death. [2]

Many defectors are unanimous that victimization of children by the parents was enforced on the members following the ideological revolution. Elaborating on the process of dehumanizing the members Shams-e Haeri writes:

Rajavi’s thesis for emancipation of women codified the spouses’ divorce and annihilation of family foundation and human fleeing. The women not only were enforced by Rajavi to divorce the husbands, but also deserted their children and killed their love in their hearts and committed them to the foster-houses run in Western countries to be disciplined enough to be recruited into the leadership council. [3]

In many instances, when the parents rejected to surrender their children, the children’s daily needs such as milk and nutriment rations were halted to force parents submit to the wills of the leadership:

They had allocated one of POW’s camps in Iraq to defected members. It was called Debs and located near Kirkuk. At the time the number of defectors reached 600 or so among whom were families and children. To torment and harass them, the organization cut the food ration into half and cut off the children’s milk. [4]

Furthermore, as one of the defectors claims, Rajavi’s crimes done against families and children cannot be categorized as political but rather as social:

Rajavi’s crimes are not political in essence. Because of displacing children and separating them from their parents for illegal political abuse, force divorces, imprisonment and psychological-physical tortures, plotting to destabilize familial relations, employing club-wielders, and outraging human values, Rajavi is a felon. [5]

And what the organization sought when its agents battered the parents before the eyes of children:

For instance, Mohssen Rezai severely battered a father called Farhang before the eyes of his two five and seven children in hostel E; the children cried “oh, daddy, daddy” while a number of other families were watching the scene. [6]

In some cases, the children of dissatisfied members were taken as hostages within the organization as a leverage of pressure on the parents to submit:

None of the recruits were told from the beginning that if they joined, their familial independence would be violated, or had to write daily reports of what they did and dreamed, or had to divorce their wives. They were never told that if one day they decided to leave the organization, their children would be taken as hostages and they were deprived of seeing them. [7]

Referring to different dimensions of child abuse in MKO, Anne Singleton writes:

In Germany, the government uncovered the Mojahedin’s financial activities. After a two year investigation, the German High Court on 21st December 2001 closed the Mojahedin ‘shop’ – twenty-five houses and bases – after evidence was found of misuse of Social Security and fraud. Disturbingly, the Mojahedin had used the members’ children who had been evacuated during the Gulf War of 1991. These children, whilst they lived in the Mojahedin’s bases in Germany, were required to undertake work in the base and take part in fund-raising activities, collecting money in the street. At the same time, the Mojahedin were abusing every possible avenue of Social Security in Germany in order to claim benefits for these children. Documents in Germany showed that ten to twelve million Marks had been used by the Mojahedin to buy weapons. Considering that a Social Security claim of 130 – 260 Marks could be made per child per day, this is a conservative figure of the amount that the Mojahedin collected on account of these children. [8]

The children in MKO are deprived of their slightest rights. They suffer institutional child abuse and are exposed to imminent danger through the most harsh and pitiless trainings they underwent in unsuitable conditions:

In Mojahedin’s ideology, the children are the most neglected individuals since they fail to be regarded as the appropriate means to help fulfilment of Rajavi’s power-seeking ambitions. They have no clear future and are deprived of their most natural rights of living with warm-hearted parents. The Camp Ashraf’s school much resembled that of a foster-house rather than an ordinary school while the organization, availing big sums of funds, could provide the best educational and fun facilities for the children. Unlike other child-care centres, headmasters and preceptors in charge had no pedagogical experiences and their appointment was the result of a punishment because of their organizational inefficiency. The children reaching the age of thirteen were immediately pulled out of the school and drafted into the organization. They were exploited physically and were not cognizant of their rights. [9]

Shams-e Haeri sees a very close resemblance between the cult relations of MKO in the contemporary political milieu and that of Stalin’s Communist reign over the Soviet Union:

Under the manipulation of Stalinist and psychological methods as well as creating an atmosphere of intimidation and offense, the members were afraid of receiving degrading labels and thus the mothers were silenced. At the present, hundreds of children are kept under the state-run foster-houses or the guardianship of Iranian families residing in European countries for five years apart from their parents; they are suffering emotional and mental pressures and have no memory of their parents. They are so drawn and depressed that one is shocked by so much imposed brutality. In Germany alone hundreds of these children are exploited in a variety of illegal fashions. They are brought into the streets as demonstrating mobs or as fund collecting orphans. The older ones have to sit up till late and do laborious tasks of the organization and, consequently most of them are sleepy at the classes in the school. Their cloths are in poor condition and they have no fun, even not permitted to watch the German TV. The girls above twelve have to wear scarves and are thus depressed and in a permanent argument with the ranks in charge. Two of these girls have deliberately burned themselves by hot irons and some other have escaped to live with their relatives residing in other countries or sought protection of German government and were granted separate lodgings. [10]

Primary health care, providing provision of adequate nutritious foods and clothing as well an atmosphere of love and happiness are the least essentialities that the guardians have to take into consideration to foster children. As described by defectors, children lived in exceptionally difficult conditions in MKO’s prison-like child care houses:

The hostels where the children are lodged are too cramped and dark and like prisons; 10 children have to sleep close to each other in a single room. The children have to abide in two culturally different milieus; the German schools and the organization’s training abodes. The incompatibility of the two contexts had caused children develop dual personality. At least two children have died of the custodian’s maltreatment in France and Netherland and a girl has been sexually abused by her American foster parent. Some are addicts to drugs. Rajavi in one of his speeches announced that “a Mojahed woman is not the mother of her child as a Mojahed man is not the father, and a Mojahed woman is not her husband’s wife”. He called upon all members to submit to him and abandon all life and human attachments. [11]

The mentioned instances that disclose blatant ignorance of children rights in MKO and their exposure to perils of oppression, exploitation and abuse, makes it an urgent responsibility for the organizations protecting human and child rights to investigate children’s violated rights within MKO. Mojahedin leaders for certain have to stand trial for the terrible crimes done against children and their deprivation of being grown up in the family environment. Instead, we see that Maryam Rajavi announced her group’s preparedness to take care of 1000 Iraqi orphans. The described condition of MKO’s children might be the horrendous destiny awaiting Iraqi children if the global community continues to turn a blind eye to the plights of Iraqi orphans.

Mujahedin Khalq 's Function

MKO Abusing a Nation’s Championship

The championship of the Iraqi national soccer team in the Asian Cup tournament was a praiseworthy feat and the Iraqis burst into a celebration of joy and happiness despite the dominant internal chaos that is tearing their country apart. The championship fosters hope that the country has the potentialities to overcome its overwhelming plights inflicted by insurgent and terrorist groups, majority of who are the accomplices of the ousted Saddam’s regime. But can a national sports team’s success or failure signify efficiency and inefficiency of a country’s nationally elected government and parliament to steer a country that is mainly dominated by alien forces?

That is the way MKO, a proscribed terrorist group that enjoys support of the US forces in Iraq, looks at it much because the group is at odds with the Iraqi government over its decisiveness to expel the terrorist group from Iraq. Once forming close alliance with Saddam against Iran, MKO acted also as his loyal mercenaries in suppression of uprising Iraq dissidents. After the fall of the dictator, in a shift of position the group claimed to be standing beside the Iraqi people in a unified front to secure its stay in Iraq. As it is naturally a terrorist group whose strategy of struggle is founded on armed and violent warfare, it preferred to make coalition with Iraqi insurgent groups.

Alireza Jafarzadeh, MKO’s member who has established a close cooperation with Fox News, in his recent article released by Fox News takes advantage of the Iraq soccer team’s championship and attempts to disparage the legally elected government of Nouri al-Maliki and the parliament. He makes wild accusations against the advocates of the nation and country;

Iraqis are wondering: if 11 young men can instill a sense of unity by playing soccer, can the government of Nouri al-Maliki and the 275 politicians elected to steer Iraq to a brighter future achieve the same result? The people are particularly wary of the government as more evidence surfaces suggesting closer ties between Iraqi officials and the secret torture centers, as well as the death squads meant to heighten sectarian violence.

At the time when there is a nationally unified call for a terror-free Iraq led by a nationally supported government that is determined to uproot terrorism and violence, MKO’ headquarters in Camp Ashraf has turned into a den of conspiracy where terrorist gangs meet to plot. As Jafarzadeh refers to:

In mid June, as many as 10,000 Iraqi tribal leaders and local residents, mostly from the volatile Diyala Province, gathered in the headquarters of the main Iranian opposition in Ashraf City, which is also in the Diyala Province. At this event, which combined speeches and entertainment and was called "solidarity for peace and freedom in Iraq," a statement signed by 450 thousand inhabitants of Diyala called for unity of all Iraqi ranks against foreign intervention, especially that of the Iranian regime.

In an immediate move to confront gatherings of the terrorists, the Iraqi government banned Iraqis’ traffic to Camp Ashraf. No doubt, the people of a country can came together as a whole nation and live peacefully. But the problem lies in the fact that neither can they coexist with the parasites of an ousted regime nor the unwelcome guests consent to the will of a nation to desert the soil once they were housed to conspire against the two nations. MKO in its struggle to survive not only claim a position similar to that Iraqi citizens with all granted rights but also postures as being in the vanguard of accomplishing democracy for Iraqi people. That is what Jafarzadeh cleverly purports in his article by advertising Camp Ashraf as a place of amalgamating solidarity and coalition:

Iraqi sports and music, as well as the large social and political gathering in Ashraf City, are living proof that Iraqis from all political and religious backgrounds can live, work and thrive in harmony.

For sure, hardly any of those, although some unknowingly, who participate in Camp Ashraf’s gathering consider the interests of the nation since a man is known by the company he keeps. These are explicit evidences of MKO’s interfering in Iraq’s political and social sectors to destabilize the solidarity between the nation and the state. Fortunately, Iraqi people and government are well aware of MKO’s masqueraded nature and the objectives it strives to fulfil and are dedicated to work together to overcome problems. The existing anarchy is nothing but the outcome of the negligence of the alien forces that provide for the prowl of the terrorist groups and hold over the will of the nation to be fulfilled.

Mujahedin Khalq Organization as a terrorist group

Tancredo supporting MEK terrorists

Tom Tancredo’s Support for the Mujahedin -e Khalq (MEK) Terrorist Organization

Many in the anti-illegal immigration movement admired Rep. Tom Tancredo when he stood up to the Mexican government and told them to stop meddling in ..:namespace prefix = st1 ns =”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”>U.S. affairs. Tancredo rightly told Mexican officials that they have no business dictating U.S. immigration policy. Mexican officials objected to possible U.S. legislation that would arrest illegals and fine and/or deport them…:namespace prefix = o ns =”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”>

It is unfortunate that Rep. Tom Tancredo doesn’t follow his own advice. Like so many other U.S. officials he doesn’t want foreign intrusion into U.S. affairs, but he doesn’t have a problem with interfering in other nations’ affairs.

Below is a letter that Rep. Tom Tancredo sent to the French government imploring them to stop arresting and deporting a certain group of illegal immigrants. Not only are these people illegal immigrants in the country of France, but they are also members of a known terrorist organization called the Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MEK). The MEK is also sometimes referred to as MKO, PMOI Rajavi Cult or Pol Pot of Iran. Tancredo also sent a copy of the same letter to the National Council of Resistance of Iran (MEK U.S. front group) demonstrating his full support for them.

Tancredo thinks it is ok to dictate another nation’s immigration and security policy. The Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization or the MEK are listed as a terrorist group by the United States and dozens of other countries, including all of our western allies and eastern allies such as the U.K., Germany, France, Japan and Australia.  See the U.S. list of Terrorist Organizations: http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/45323.pdf down until you see Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK) listed.Scroll

What are the criteria for a group being classified as a FTO (Foreign Terrorist Organization)? The U.S. State Department has three main criteria for designating a group as a Foreign Terrorist Organization: 1) It must be a foreign organization; 2) The organization must engage in terrorist activity; and 3) The organization’s terrorist activity or terrorism must threaten the security of U.S. nationals or the national security of the United States. All criteria have been met by the MEK. The State Department says that during the 1970’s, the MEK killed U.S. military personnel and civilians in Iran and supported the takeover of the American Embassy in Tehran in November 1979. They also helped Saddam in suppressing Shiite and Kurdish uprisings in southern and northern Iraq. Other major acts of terrorism include killing over 70 high-ranking Iranian officials – including the Chief Justice, President, and Prime Minister – in 1981 by blowing up the head office of the Islamic Republic Party, and the near-simultaneous attacks in April 1992 on Iranian Embassies in 13 countries. The MEK have launched terrorist attacks in Iraq within the last 4 years. The MEK and U.S. Military personal were engaged in heavy combat just after the invasion of Iraq. More on this in a minute.

Tancredo’s repeated letters to France called on the protection of these terrorists. Tancredo has been praised on the MEK’s front group website – National Council of Resistance of Iran’s website. French officials said that the MEK are terrorists and were a serious security risk for their nation. Should not the country of France decide who they want to let into their nation? Note that this was well before the recent Muslim uprisings in France. Mr. Tancredo would be one of the first in line to criticize France if they tried to dictate how the U.S. deals with terrorists and illegal immigrants in our own country.

..:namespace prefix = v ns =”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml”>

In June 2003, the French police arrested a MEK cult leader (Maryam Rajavi) and many supporters. Some members of this communist cult responded by burning themselves to death. Shortly afterward, The Fox News Channel retained as an analyst and”conservative”media promote Alireza Jafarzadeh, who operated for many years from the National Press Building as a spokesperson for this group’s press office, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

The neo-conservatives used the MEK as”intelligence sources”before the invasion of Iraq to justify their invasion. How did that turn out? This was despite the fact that the U.S. government knew the MEK information was NOT credible. Saddam Hussein was put on trial for war crimes; human rights violations, etc, etc. However, it was the MEK that actually committed many of these acts for Saddam Hussein. They have admitted to the world that they slaughtered the Kurds on numerous occasions. Yet, the U.S. media and U.S. politicians remain silent about the MEK.

Instead, our U.S. Military is under orders to protect the American soldier killing MEK in Iraq and we are funding MEK terrorist camps in Iran. When will we learn?? We won’t until you get off your ass and help return the”power to the people”.

The MEK actually slaughtered the Kurds, sometimes using chemicals (yes, the MEK had and still has chemical weapons). But, don’t expect them to face any charges for their crimes. They are free. The charges are all going against Saddam Hussein and his inner circle.

The MEK are providing the”intelligence”on the Iranian nuclear program. The MEK were also the source for most of our top secret”intelligence”sources that we used for Iraq’s so-called nuclear and weapons of mass destruction program.

So why should we trust them with providing intelligence on Iran? We shouldn’t. period. They are terrorists that commit terrorist acts for the highest bidder.

They have made clear that they are seeking an overthrow of Iran from the very beginning. They are a terrorist group that wants to take over Iran. And they are ready to use their false intelligence again to take out the leadership in Iran as they did in Iraq. And the neo-cons and the Israeli interests are licking their chops again because the American media and the American people haven’t woken up yet. The MEK has played such a vital role in the invasion of Iraq and tensions with Iran and the American people hear nothing about them. It is likely that this is the first time that many of you have ever heard of the MEK, unless you have seen some of my previous posts about them.

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the group that exercises tremendous control over U.S. foreign policy through Vice President Dick Cheney has promoted the Iran Freedom Support Act as well as many Christian Zionist ministers. The Iran Freedom Support Act is just one in many U.S. bills designed to give the MEK financial assistance. Of course these bills are Sold as ways to spread Democracy and Freedom.

Philosophy of the MEK

The MEK has developed their own unique dangerous ideological mix of radical Islam and Marxism. Original members of the group, Hosayn Ruhani and Torab Haqshenas, once claimed that their”original aim was to synthesize the religious values of Islam with the scientific thought of Marxism…for we were convinced that true Islam was compatible with the theories of social evolution, historical determinism, and the class struggle.”

Below is an Article called ‘Gray Lady runs ad for Terrorists’ by Middle East Security/Terrorism expert Kenneth Timmerman.

The article refers to a full page ad that was placed in the New York Times on January 15, 2003 that thanks members of congress for their support for the MEK. The ad is paid for by the terrorist groups’ American front group. 150 members of congress signed the letter of support. Many of the congressional staffers were mislead by Rep. Tancredo and the other core group of MEK supporters in Congress, into thinking that this was an Iranian Democracy and human rights group seeking support for human rights and democratic reforms in Iran. The group has no interest in democracy. They only want to control Iran.

http://kentimmerman.com/news/mek_nytimes_ad.htm

Shortly after this full page advertisement appeared in the New York Times, American soldiers went to war in Iraq and killed some of these Saddam Hussein-supported Marxist terrorists (as classified by the State Departments of Presidents Bill Clinton and of George W. Bush) in Camp Ashraf, Iraq. Camp Ashraf was/is a MEK terrorist training camp. But, a short time later the U.S. Military were given orders to stop battling the MEK. Instead, they were given orders to protect the MEK within camp Ashraf. Pentagon officials have stated that the MEK fighters were disarmed. However, several photographs of Camp Ashraf by several journalist sources have documented that MEK fighters are still heavily armed.

The MEK cult has many unusual features. Two such interesting features about the MEK cult include the following; The MEK leadership forces or”convinces”its married members to divorce. The MEK also has a very powerful military force. The MEK has routinely routed Iranian Revolutionary Guard (IRG) units. Besides, the U.S. Military the MEK may be the best trained military force now in Iraq. What is unusual about this highly trained fighting force? It is made up largely of women. Yes, that is right. This fact has led to some respect and support for the MEK by a handful of feminist groups in the United States.

These are known terrorists to 99% of the world, but these folks give them total support -Tom Tancredo (R-CO.), Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FLA.), Bob Filner (D-CA.), Edolphus Towns (D-NY), Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) and Lincoln Diaz- Balart (R-FLA.) MEK members have been caught sneaking into our country. Did Tancredo stand up against these illegals? No. Tancredo actually lobbied to have these terrorists freed into the United States. Are you comfortable with this?

This group has millions of dollars and spends it freely. They hold rallies in front of the United Nations and the U.S. Capital. They pay people from all over the world to come and hold signs and protest for freedom in Iran. Their front group National Council of Resistance of Iran is a heavyweight lobbyist group in Washington, D.C. throwing major gifts around and twisting arms for support. The group has the ear of Rep. Tancredo and the rest of the core group of MEK supporters in the U.S. congress and the Pentagon. The neo-conservatives and the congressional supporters of the MEK are treating these front groups and the MEK directly as a human rights groups and are always seeking financial support from U.S. taxpayers for MEK ‘activities’ in Iran and Iraq. Tancredo has called for proposals sending millions of your tax dollars to fund another misadventure in the Middle East. Even though the MEK’s main ‘activities’ mostly consists of killing people.

How often have the neo-cons and Rep. Tancredo been interested in human rights? The MEK does not support human rights. The MEK often works as a group of bounty hunters, collecting cash for launching terrorist attacks.

The general Iranian population which is actually for more democracy in Iran is scared of the MEK and they often compared the MEK to Pol Pot. They will clearly resist them and create a civil war. Tancredo and MEK supporters claim that the Iranian population will welcome them with open arms. Where have we heard that before? Yet, Mr. Tancredo thinks that terrorists that have killed Americans should be helped to gain control of Iran and the trillions, upon trillions of oil dollars that would come along with it.

How can you just forgive them for murdering Americans? Mr. Tancredo doesn’t say that the MEK never murdered Americans. He knows that they have. It has been well documented. He says that it was long ago and that they changed and we should forgive them. He says they care about freedom and want to help”us”. The MEK has never shown an interest in freedom and Democracy. We don’t need to be mixed up in another foreign entanglement. When are we going to learn? Probably never- or at least not until the opportunities to profit from it disappear. We all know what we can expect from this group if they gain power in Iran, judging from our former support for Saddam Hussein, the Taliban and Osama bin Laden. Plus, the MEK now has a large network of members in our country- which is a major security threat. These MEK supporters in congress have also refused to stop these illegal immigrant terrorists that we accept and protect. If you run across a suspicious looking terror camp in the United States and the feds don’t seem to care or ignore your warnings- it is probably the MEK.
