West Tries to Save Its Face

This article is simply a reply to the new propagandistic wave by the MKO, aimed at boosting the morale of its confused members; this article also tries to remind MKO supporters and members of some facts on the status of the organization.

1. What the MKO is making so much noise about is only a ruling which will remain in judicial levels in Europe, if it’s not rejected or revised by other judicial institutions. According to experiences, it could be said that European courts have always had more hostile attitudes towards Iran and have always supported Iranian opposition groups but they have never been able to change the policies their governments are bound to. The fact is that these courts have always tried to help their own politicians by issuing such rulings.

2. European Union and the US have always announced that the MKO is terrorist and undemocratic organization. The issue of considering them undemocratic is older than putting them on terror lists. Apparently it’s not difficult to get the reason why they call it undemocratic with respect to Western criteria.

3. Both Europe and the US have stressed that while opposing the Iranian government they refuse to support an inhuman cult that observes no respect for democracy and human rights. Even the most radical parties in the Congress have proposed bills in the favor of Iranian opposition groups without mentioning the MKO and only referring to these groups as "democratic ones inside Iran".

4. It can be heard from sources close to the MKO and NCRI that there’s a consensus on the necessity of creating a unity between Mojahedin and all forces claiming to be opposing the Iranian regime (as a condition for West’s support for MKO). This has been understood fully by the MKO and they know that this is one of Westerners’ requirements.

5. More important problem for the MKO is its sectarian, totalitarian structure which, on one hand, prevents other groups from making alliance with this group and, on the other, forces the MKO to remain closed in order not to be dismantled.

Considering these notes, one can understand that the situation is more difficult than what the MKO tries to introduce to its forces.

Besides, to save its face and to convince the people of the world that there’s democracy in the West, Westerners will not support this group.

All above considerations assume that the US is following the line of military interference in the Middle East, while we all know that Americans have announced their decision to change their policies in the region. In addition, the recent resolution against Iran was passed to speedup talks between Iran and Europe. In such situation, the conditions of the MKO will worsen.

Duplicity of the MEK nature

Deceived Liberal MPs continue to express support for terrorist group

Jason Kenney, Conservative MP, has been called a hypocrite for criticizing Liberal MP Borys Wrzesnewskyj who spoke in support of a terrorist group this past week, but who himself appeared at a rally for yet another terrorist organization in April 2006. That group was listed as a terrorist group, under a different name, in May 2005.

Jason Kenney’s appearance at this rally has caused some grief:

The Liberals accused Jason Kenney of hypocrisy on Thursday, after it was revealed the Conservative MP had appeared at a rally earlier this year for an Iranian group with terrorist links.

A photo of Kenney, Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s parliamentary secretary, at the April rally appears on a website for the National Council of Resistance of Iran, the political wing of the People’s Mujahedin Organization of Iran.

The PMOI is one of the names used by Mujahedin-e-Khalq, an Iranian rebel group put on Canada’s official terror list in May 2005. The U.S. and Britain have also designated it a terrorist organization.

Kenney didn’t even know that the rally was for the PMOI:

The NCRI website says the April rally that Kenney attended was organized by "the Committee in Defence of Human Rights in Iran."

In an interview with the Star, Kenney said he did not remember attending the rally, then recalled an invitation from "something called the Committee for Human Rights in Iran."

The invitation came from a man Kenney said he met at the foreign affairs sub-committee on human rights.

Kenney, MP for Calgary Southeast, said he "would be shocked" to hear his picture was posted on the group’s political wing website.

For this, the Liberals are tearing into him:

Liberal interim leader Bill Graham, who accepted [Borys] Wrzesnewskyj’s resignation, condemned Kenney’s actions on Thursday.

"I think it’s so hypocritical when you heard the words that came out of his mouth a couple of days ago about the observations made about one of our members and then you find he himself is standing there embracing a terrorist group."

Liberal Denis Coderre, who was criticized for marching in a peace rally in Montreal earlier this month where Hezbollah flags were present, said Kenney should apologize and denounce the group.

"Jason Kenney, who likes to play politics and is as subtle as Barney Rubble in politics, should know better," Coderre said.

I suppose that Liberal MPs Alan Tonks and Derek Lee can expect to be at the receiving end of similar abuse. Why? Because each wrote letters to Peter Mackay, Minister of Foreign Affairs, demanding that the government support the PMOI.

The letters were written sometime after mid-July.

    Confessions of Raymond Tanter

Confessions of Raymond Tanter: The Web of Neo-conservative (Neo-Trotskyite) Lies

"A few months ago, Irandidban.com reported of the gathering of Baath remnants in Camp Ashraf and that they had shouted slogans in favor of Saddam and against the government of Iraq."

The web of war lies continues to grow:

    1. Professor Raymond Tanter’s name appears on the list of scholars and fellows of the Iran Policy Committee (IPC):

    Clare M. Lopez, Executive Director

Major General Paul E. Vallely, USA (Ret.)

Professor Raymond Tanter, Former Senior Staff Member, National Security Council

Lt. General Edward Rowny, USA (Ret.)

Captain Charles T. "Chuck" Nash, USN (Ret.)

Lt. General Thomas McInerney USAF, (Ret.)

Bruce McColm, President Institute for Democratic Strategies

Lt. Col. Bill Cowan, USMC (Ret.)

    James Akins, Ambassador (Ret.)

    2. The Iran Policy Committee describes itself as:

Iran Policy Committee (IPC) is comprised of former officials from the White House, State Department, Pentagon, intelligence agencies, and experts from think tanks and universities.

The Executive Director is described as a former employee of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

    3. The Iran Policy Committee does not disclose at its Web site its sources of funding.

    4. The Iran Policy Committee is a strong supporter of the Iranian Communist MEK (Rajavi Cult or Pol Pot of Iran). See its posted white paper (a white washing of the atrocities of this cult):

US Policy Options for Iran and Iranian Political Opposition, Sept 13, 2005

The MEK murdered American military officers and Rockwell International employees in Iran. The MEK demanded the executions of American hostages at the American Embassy in Tehran, Iran. Fortunately, supporters of an Islamic Republic of Iran were able to defeat the supporters of the MEK in 1981. If the MEK had won in 1981, there could still be a Soviet Union today. Saddam Hussein provided millions of dollars of support plus military camps and heavy military equipment to the MEK so that the MEK would commit atrocities against the Iraqi people. In September 2002, President Bush’s background paper for his remarks at the United Nations listed the MEK as one of three Saddam Hussein-supported terrorist groups operating in Iraq. Al-Qaeda was NOT on his list. The MEK was a pretext for America’s invasion of Iraq.

    5. Some of these scholars and fellows have appeared many times on the Fox News Channel. Many Republican and conservative viewers are so stupid that they do not understand that neo-conservative (neo-Trotskyite) supporters of the MEK are supporting the communist takeover of Iran by the "Pol Pot of Iran".

    6. In 2003, American and coalition forces attacked Camp Ashraf, Iraq and killed some of the MEK members.

    7. Then, the American Army protected the MEK from Iraqi Kurds and other Iraqis who suffered terrible atrocities committed by the MEK.

    8. The American Army permitted the red, communist flag of the MEK to continue flying at Camp Ashraf, Iraq.

    9. In 2006, a small unit of military guards from Bulgaria became responsible for watching the MEK at Camp Ashraf, Iraq.

    10. As noted correctly by Iran Didban, anyone who has an international satellite dish capable of receiving Persian language television programs can watch MEK television programs. The MEK has shown many times Iraqis who attended events at Camp Ashraf, Iraq.

Confused by the neoconservative web of lies?

Admirers of Trotsky have infiltrated the Democratic and Republican parties of America to the extent that millions of Republicans and conservatives have been duped. These neo-conservatives support the Iranian Communist MEK (Rajavi Cult or Pol Pot of Iran). However, President Bush’s 2002 background paper for his United Nations remarks mentioned the MEK as one of Saddam Hussein’s supported terrorist organizations. In 2003, American and coalition forces attacked the MEK’s Camp Ashraf, Iraq and killed some MEK members. Then, the American military protected the MEK from being attacked by Iraqi Kurds in retaliation for the 1991 MEK atrocities committed against Iraqi Kurds. In 2006, the MEK can show on its television station events at Camp Ashraf, Iraq including Iraqis who are enemies of the American military in Iraq.

America’s worst enemies are not in the Middle East. America’s worst enemies are in America: the neo-conservatives (neo-Trotskyites) and the dupes who support them. America should not support endless neoconservative wars to enrich neoconservative supporters.

    People Caught in Hallucination

I believe that hallucination not only might have destructive effects on the people who suffer from it but also on whom they have contact with. It is no problem so far as the harm affects the individuals themselves. It turns into a predicament when they start to prescribe a malady to get over another complaint.

The ruling by European Court of First Instance was not a verdict against listing MKO as a terrorist organization, as the group publicizes it. Let them think so. Does it change anything? The world was, and is, well aware of the innate violent nature of MKO when it was put on the list for certain reasons; people hardly leash a dog unless they develop the idea that it might attack others.

The parliamentarian advocates of MKO are not, no doubt, nai’ve about the violent nature of the group and the reasons that led it onto the black list of the proscribed terrorists. Few of them, for certain political, or maybe personal, reasons prefer to close their eyes on reality for the time being. The main issue for them is to deal with Iran utilizing some kind of leverage of pressure, which in this case they have mistakenly concluded to be MKO.

The NCRI’s site reported that in a press conference at the European Parliament on December 12, Mr. Alejo Vidal Quadras, First Vice-president of the European Parliament welcomed the ruling by European Court of First Instance against listing MKO as a terrorist organization. In his mad speech, Mr. Vidal Quadras is quoted to have stated:

In my view, the European Union should change its approach to Iran. The most striking aspect of this change should be in our approach to the Iranian opposition movement, the National Council of Resistance of Iran and the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran.

EU should engage in dialogue and cooperation with the National Council of Resistance of Iran. The EPP-ED group invitation to Mrs. Rajavi is a move in this direction. We should send a clear message to Ahamadinejad “

Does this message indicate that these parliamentarians have developed the idea that Mojahedin are non-violent, democratic people? The invitation to Mrs. Rajavi serves more as to "send a clear message", or better to say a threat, to Iran. I believe both MKO and these parliamentarians are under the influence of some hallucination, especially the latter that might ascribe significant weight to the former. What do you think?

Belgian TV Documentary on MKO Blots Senators

Following a strange meeting between a number of Belgian Senators and Maryam Rajavi, Iran’s terror lady, and some other leading members of terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq, Belgian TV (RTBF)- in a professional move- broadcast a documentary on the event.

According to the correspondent of Baztab, this report contained interviews with former members of Mojahedin-e Khalq.

The report of RTBF had traveled to Iran to interview some former MKO members. The report pointed to the visit of Maryam Rajavi to Belgium and her meeting with the head of Belgian senate. Then, comments of former members of MKO on human rights abuses in the organization, terrorist operations inside Iran, obligatory divorces, pressing the members to commit suicide and  were covered in the report. The report also referred to the recent report of HRW on repeated abuses of human rights inside the organization.

Finally, reporter suggests European officials ask her questions on these accusations in the case she travels again.

It should be noted that two months ago, a number of MKO members shocked observers and public opinion by traveling to Belgium and Norway.
