Failure of Warmongers in Using the MKO

Those who dictated their own plan to George Bush to attack Iraq, which has created current scandalous situation for the US administration, thought this war could lead to other victories for US Empire in the Middle East. They though after appointing a puppet government in Iraq, they would be able to expand the boundaries of their Empire to the whole region!

Warmongers repeatedly said that after Iraq, it would be Iran’s turn; therefore, immediately after the fall of Saddam Hussein, they employed the gang of Rajavi and tasked them with running checkpoints in Dyalah province.

Hiring the gang of Rajavi was the costliest program of warmongers in comparison with previous efforts of Pentagonists in using mercenary groups (like the MKO). That was because from the beginning, the plan faced wide opposition from the public opinion, different agencies in the US and Iraq so that they had to withdraw.

The opposition of Iraqi people and government was less important for the Neocons, who looked at them as the residents of their colonies. However, very soon, they understood that this opposition was serious so that, despite the expressed policies of the US, Paul Bremer had to veto the decision of Iraqi Governing Council on the MKO.

The failures of the warmongers continued and the MKO remained on US terror list after interviews and investigations on MKO members (in Camp Ashraf) were conducted by the State Department and the FBI. In addition, the investigation helped the US administration to find that the NCRI was only a cover for the MKO and Colin Powel, former US Secretary of State, shut down the office of NCRI and added it to the list of terrorist organizations. This was a legal obstacle for the Pentagon that was going to take advantage of the MKO in Iraq.

Warmongers discussed the issue of MKO with different parties and individuals in Iraq but there was no sign of cooperation with this group and the plans of Pentagon. Warmongers realized how hateful this group is. After this, they gave guidelines to the remnants of Rajavi to collect signatures and build fake parties as their supporters in Iraq in order to find a way out of crisis. Meanwhile, Pentagon spokesperson announced officially that the MKO members were detained in Camp Ashraf and that they would remain there until their fate is determined.

Reports indicate that the warmongers have quit the idea of using the MKO; they have even told the MKO that the efforts of this group to get refugee status in and out of Iraq have been futile and that the efforts to guarantee illegal presence of this group in Iraq have failed.

So, the will of Iraqi people and government has been victorious in its struggle with the desires of warmongers and occupiers. Although the process of expulsion of MKO members may take a bit longer, the policies of warmongers won’t help them at all.

Mujahedin Khalq Organization's Propaganda System

Funny Figures!

The author of "Neither Living Nor Death" Mr. Iraj Mesdaghi, who was criticized by the MKO because of revealing the lies of this group, has recently exposed one of hundreds of lies by the MKO.

Mr. Mesdaghi, expressing his astonishment over MKO reports, has asked this group’s websites to be more careful when publishing fabrications.

Mesdaghi is particularly pointing to an article by MKO on Seyed Mohammed Khatami’s visit to US. This article, signed by a "Nargess" and published on MKO websites, was titled: "When mullah Mohammed Khatami pushed his foot into my mouth in the presence of Torture Investigation Council in Evin Prision"!

Mesdaghi relies on documents to prove that the article is wholly false and that Khatami was not a member of that council at that time.

However, what Mesdaghi ignores or intentionally wants to hide is the fact that even those who are familiar with MKO’s dirty propaganda (like Mr. Mesdaghi himself) don’t dare to work against MKO’s lying machine, created and used for 27 years by Rajavi.

The biggest lie made by Rajavi, confirmed by the betrayal silence of many, is related to the figures presented by Rajaiv. He claimed that 120000 MKO members had been executed. He also said that the MKO had 30000 prisoners in 1988. MKO has been able to fix this in the minds of many people.

Once someone said: "I wonder why all MKO female members arrested by the regime are pregnant and have to abort?" This is because the lie has been repeated by the MKO. This has even been said about unmarried girls!

Everyone in Evin prison knows well that Mojgan Homayoonfar lost her leg in a car accident, but the gang of Rajavi used this in the UN to prove that there was torture in the Iranian prisons!

When the MKO reports astronomical statistics of a border operation (opening fire on empty trenches, their funny figures on torture and prisons in Iran shouldn’t be surprising since this organization is totally based on deceiving its members and fears from facing the reality.

Human Rights Abuse in the MEK

Iranian-Canadian kids sent to guerrilla camps in Iraq

TORONTO – An Iranian terrorist group recruited teenaged children out of Canada and sent them to a guerrilla camp in Iraq, an investigation by the National Post has found.

The Mujahedin-e Khalq sent recruiters to Toronto to entice youths of Iranian heritage into joining an armed resistance campaign aimed at overthrowing the Iranian government.

A banned terrorist organization under Canadian law since 2005, the MEK worked out of a base in residential homes in Toronto, former members of the group said in interviews.

While the bases looked like ordinary households from the outside, inside everyone wore military uniforms and the walls were decorated with MEK flags and portraits of guerrilla leaders, they said.

The Canadian MEK network raised money, staged protests against Iran and lobbied politicians, but it also recruited underage youths to travel to a desolate guerrilla outpost near the Iran-Iraq border called Camp Ashraf.

Former MEK activists said the Canadian base worked closely with a similar U.S. outfit in Sleepy Hollow, Va., called the Pirayesh. The Post was able to view videos of recruiting sessions conducted there.

A Toronto man who spent five years at Camp Ashraf, beginning when he was 16, said in an interview he underwent military training but was imprisoned when he asked to return home.

The account is consistent with a recent report by New York-based Human Rights Watch, which said the MEK had detained, tortured and killed "defectors" who had tried to leave the camp.

A Toronto human rights group, the Centre for Thought, Dialogue and Human Rights in Iran, says it has documented nine other cases in which children under the age of 18 were sent to Ashraf from Canada. They include youths from Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa.

Among them is Somayeh Mohamaddy, who was a 17-year-old Grade 10 student at Etobicoke Collegiate Institute when she was recruited into the MEK in 1998.

In a letter sent to the Canadian embassy in Jordan, she asked for the government’s help getting back to Toronto but she has since said she wants to stay with her fellow "holy warriors".

An immigration tribunal that looked into Mohamaddy case ruled this week that she had gone to the guerrilla camp "with her parents’ consent" and that she is a "committed member."

The family’s story is told in a five-part series that begins today in the National Post.

Camp Ashraf was captured and disarmed by the U.S. military following the 2003 invasion of Iraq. But most of the "children of the resistance" remain there, either unwilling or unable to leave.

Of the roughly 4,000 MEK guerrillas at the camp, about 300 have returned to Iran and 200 have "defected" to an American-run camp called the Temporary International Presence Facility.

Don’t Scuttle Chances for Negotiations

Announced by U.S. Newswire, over one hundred religious leaders, Christian, Muslim, and Jewish, will call on Congress on Tuesday 26 this week to urge Congress to assert its oversight function to prevent a preemptive attack on Iran. Religious leaders, all agreed on “Don’t Scuttle Chances for Negotiations”, are encouraging Congress to vote no on the Iran Freedom Support Act and pursue unconditional negotiations with Iran.

The religious leaders specifically cite five causes for concern, the second of which points to the administration using the terrorist Mujahedeen-e Khalq (MEK) to prepare for military action:

2) The administration is using Mujahedeen-e Khalq (MEK), an Iranian terrorist organization on the State Department’s List of terror groups, to destabilize the southern region of Iran. Some intelligence officials believe that the administration is outsourcing to the MEK in an effort to pave the way for United States military action.

Press Conference in Paris

Captives of Maryam Rajavi’s Mojahedin Khalq in Iraq

Are Human Rights Victims Says Iran-Interlink;

Press Conference in Paris Sept. 22

PARIS, Sept. 19 /U.S. Newswire/ — Following is a statement of Iran Interlink on captives in Iraq:

For three years U.S. forces have protected a terrorist group in Iraq even though most of them want to return home to their families.

Mojahedin Khalq combatants are being held against their will in Camp Ashraf say former members who have returned home in the past two years.

Now, a seven member delegation from the Iranian NGO, Nejat Association, has arrived in Paris to alert public opinion to the situation of 3,000 men and women held against their will in an Iraqi base of the Iranian Mojahedin Khalq under the leadership of Maryam Rajavi.

U.S. forces say they cannot intervene inside the camp, leaving residents unable to access humanitarian help from the ICRC and the UNHCR.

Several cases of retention by force have been confirmed by personal testimony from former captives in the MKO camp who say that basic human rights are being violated daily. Significant among these cases are Iranian prisoners of war (POWs) captured by the Iraqi forces during the eight year Iran-Iraq war and who were then delivered by Saddam Hussein to the Mojahedin to boost numbers.

Nejat Association comprises former members and families of the Camp Ashraf captives. They demand the immediate and full implementation of UN Protected Persons status so that they can have free and unfettered contact with their relatives inside the camp.

Arash Sametipour, a former combatant of the MKO who spent several years in Evin prison says: "We know that the majority of people trapped inside Camp Ashraf would like to leave. We hear this from those who have recently escaped the group. What we are asking is for the international community to implement all the conditions of the Fourth Geneva Convention so that the residents of Camp Ashraf can get help from their families."

Nejat Association says this is a grave humanitarian crisis and that Camp Ashraf residents should not be used as pawns in political wrangles between western governments and Iran.

The Iraqi government has announced that Camp Ashraf must be dismantled and the residents removed from Iraqi territory. Responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of these individuals now rests with western governments and international humanitarian agencies.

The MEK Expulsion from Iraq

Iraq Reaffirms Decision to Expel Terrorists

The statement of Iraqi PM’s office of public relations, published on "Sout al-Iraq" website, reads:

"Regarding the fact that many countries recognize PKK as a terrorist organization and that Iraqi constitution doesn’t allow terrorist groups to stay in Iraq, the government has decided to put an end to the presence of this movement in Iraq, to shut down all its offices and prevent it from further activities. Iraqi government will cooperate with Turkey to resolve all issues and clear the way for stronger ties."

Earlier also Mr. Maliki’s government had stated its position on the presence of terrorist MKO in Iraq, promising to expel this group from the country.

Saddam Trial for Anfal Massacre Resumes

The trial of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein and 6 of his henchmen on charges of massacring Kurds during Anfal Operation continues in Iraq. Earlier, three individuals hurt by chemical weapons in that operation appeared in the court as witnesses.

Besides Saddam, Ali Hassan al-Majid (a.k.a. chemical Ali), former director of Iraqi secret services Abdul Aziz al-Douri, former governor of Mosul Taher Toufiq al-Aani, former defense minister Sultan Hashem Ahmed, former member of Armed Headquarters Hussein al-Tikriti, and the former director of Military Intelligence Farhan Matlak al-Jabouri are on trial.

It should be noted that Al-Ittihad newspaper earlier quorted PUK officials announcing that they had found audio tapes of chemical Ali, in which he orders the MKO to attack Iraqi citizens. There’s no doubt that the issue of MKO crimes against the Kurds will be discussed in this court.

Daniel M.Zucker

The time for ignorance is past

Nejat Society’s appeal to Rabbi Professor Daniel M. Zucker –

We noted with interest your recent article ‘Iran’s VEVAK: Disinformation, Inc.’ "http://globalpolitician.com/articledes.asp?ID=2165&cid=2&sid=4" which was written in collaboration with the Mojahedin Khalq.

Regardless of this article, the seven member delegation from Nejat Association which is currently in Paris, would very much like to meet with you to share our concerns about the human rights violations inside the Mojahedin’s Camp Ashraf in Iraq.

After a twenty year absence, why is a mother not able to visit her son for two hours? This is her only request. Why will the Mojahedin not allow her this simple request, which under the terms of the Fourth Geneva Convention on Protected Persons, is a basic right.

Article 116 – Every internee shall be allowed to receive visitors, especially near relatives, at regular intervals and as frequently as possible.

If you are unable to visit Paris to meet with the delegation, we will be happy to meet with you in Washington where we will be arriving shortly.

Rabbi Zucker, the time for ignorance is past.
