Ali Reza Jafarzade

MKO-Israel’s Endgame

Fox News, the channel of American warmongers, which seems to have faced legal restrictions for using the spokesman of terrorist MKO (Alireza Jafarzadeh), reported a letter from him- without inviting or showing him.

Terrorist MKO, that has been long trying to work for the strategic gaols of Israel in the region and instigate the US to open a war against Iran, took advantage of Israel’s war on Hizballah to charge Iran and call on the US to attack it.

Fox News anchorman quoted Jafarzadeh:

"What’s happening now in Lebanon didn’t come to occur overnight. To pave the way for this dirty war, Iran had recently increased deploying its missiles, ammunition and weapons to Lebanon. Member of Iranian revolutionary guards, who have been in Lebanon for years, boosted their presence in the region."

To have more effect on US officials, Jafarzadeh referred to the comments of Iranian leader and said:

"In a speech, which was aired by TV, [ayatollah] Khamenei said: "US president says Hizballah should be disarmed. This is what he and Zionists want, but it will never happen."

Then, Jafarzadeh points to irresponsible stance of Arab leaders of the region against the resistance of the Lebanese and says their stance along with Israel is due to their fear from Iran. "In an important and unexpected change, important Arab countries criticized mercenary Lebanese groups and their main supporter Iran for the current situation… the rare preparedness of these countries to take a stance against the will of majority of their people indicates their fear of Iran’s increasing influence in Iraq and the whole region."

In the end, Jafarzdeh suggests Americans to destroy Hizballah and the resistance of the Lebanese and, in the next step and in order to stop Iran’s increasing influence, consider attacking Iran a priority:

"Tehran has never paid the price of supporting terrorism in the past decades. Instead, Iranian regime has taken advantage of terrorism for receiving privileges from the West. The world community should make sure that Iran’s war machine is disabled in the Middle East. If Tehran’s terror machine is allowed to come out of the region’s crisis victorious, a disaster will take place."

There’s no doubt that Israel, by playing it recent game (the killing of innocent Lebanese and Palestinian civilians is only a small part of which), is trying to involved Syria and Iran in the war as well. When the US failed to mobilize world’s public opinion against Iran, Israel made this crisis and the MKO, following Israel’s policies, expressed its deep desperation over Iran’s referral to the UN Security Council. Mojahedin-e Khalq, who can survive only by the existence of crises, believes the only way for staying alive is to make a regional war.

However, the resistance of the Palestinians and Lebanese, vigilance of Iraqis and independence of Iranians foiled this last hope of Israelis and revealed the true nature of the enemies of the region’s Muslims.

Arab Media Response to Maliki’s Comments

The comments of Iraqi PM Nuri al-Maliki on the terrorist organization of MKO have received great attention from Arab media:

ILAPH, quoting Al-Zaman, London, Ali Ayel

www.elaph.com/ElaphWeb/NewsPapers/2006/7/163861.htm

Nuri al-Malki the prime minister of Iraq warned 5000 MKO members (now in a camp in Iraq under US supervision) to look for a third country and leave iraq as soon as possible.

In this regard, Iraqi PM said: "the first step for Iraqi government to take is to ban MKO members from entering Iraq’s governmental institutions and organizations to distribute their statements. In addition, MKO members shouldn’t be allowed to leave their camp in Dyala province."

In a press conference in Baghdad, Maliki said the government had discussed the issue of MKO’s presence in Iraq. Referring to the fact that MKO is considered a terrorist group, Maliki said its presence in Iraq contradicts Iraqi constitution.

American forces have disarmed and restricted the members of the group. After their disarmament, Iraqi governing council ordered the expulsion of MKO and extradition of its members to Iran.

"After security services released a report on the activities of this group, government discussed the issue of MKO’s presence in Iraq and the relation of this issue to political-security situation," Maliki added.

He added that "MKO interferes in social and political issues as if it’s an Iraqi organization while it’s a terrorist organization and the presence of this group in Iraq contradicts the constitution. We have made decisions in this regard."

Iraqi PM also pointed to the formation of a special committee to follow the issue and make decisions on scheduling this group’s expulsion.

Al-Naba’:

www.annabaa.org/nbanews/58/150.htm

It seems that Nuri al-Maliki, Iraqi prime minister, has reached a firm decision on armed groups, because for the first time he openly talked about the situation of MKO in Iraq and its interferences in country’s internal affairs.

Despite being on US terror list, this group enjoys the support of some Americans.

Al-Maliki stops the MKO

Iraqi Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki, said his government will soon take proper measures against the armed Iranian opposition group in Iraq.

He said he won’t allow the group to issue statements or its members to leave their camp.

He also reported of the formation of a committee for determining the status of this group in Iraq.

Arabic BBC:

Maliki accused the MKO of interfering in Iraq’s internal affairs.

In a press conference he said that MKO, which acts against Iran, is openly and widely interfering in Iraq’s political and social affairs.

"In addition, this group is a terrorist organization and its presence in Iraq violates Iraqi constitution," he added.

Maliki said his government has decided to take action against MKO.

The MEK Expulsion from Iraq

Terrorist Plotters Have to Leave Iraq

In protest against the Iraqi Prime Minister’s recent statement concerning MKO, the group’s proxies in Western countries have started organizing rallies in a number of European cities. The scant number of the protesters, demonstrated in the reports and pictures of these rallies, indicate that the sympathizers, unlike the heads of the group, have come to understand that nothing might change the will of a nation and its legal government if they are going to decide on the future of their country.

In some banners carried by the protestors, they called for reaffirmation of Mojahedin’s political status in Iraq as they have been residing in that country for some 20 years. The group has never been invited to settle in Iraqi soil nor has been granted political asylum to have any claim at the moment. The protected status they claim to have been offered by the occupying forces invalidates as soon as these forces leave Iraq. Besides that, no power can coerce the legal authorities of a country to submit to an agreement they had no role in its making. The Iraqi Prime Minister has been not the first and won’t be the last to confirm Mojahedin’s expel from Iraq.

Reported by IRNA, at a Friday meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Baghdad, Iraq’s Deputy Interior Minister for Security, Affairs Shirvan Vaeli, talking on the issue of Mujahedin Khalq Organization stated:

"We are now preparing a comprehensive plan which requires approval of the government to expel the MKO from the country by the year end". "We strongly follow up the case because the MKO seeks to hatch plots against the Iraqi nation which has angered the Iraqi people," he underlined.

He further explained that officials at International Committee of the Red Cross and the United States have been informed of the need to take action to drive MKO out of Iraq.

The MEK Expulsion from Iraq

Letter to the Iraqi Prime Minister

Dear Prime Minister of Iraq, Mr. Nouri Al Maliki,

In very recent news, we were informed that you have decided to expel the Iranian terrorist group Mojahedin-e- Khalq from your homeland, Iraq.

We are delighted by your brave, democratic decision, and hope to see the real action which would be to review the criminal file of those 3,000 brainwashed followers of Rajavi in Camp Ashraf and bring them to justice with a fair trial.

As you are well aware, for over twenty-five years the Mojahedin-e- Khalq had a tight relationship with the former dictatorship of Iraq under Saddam Hussein, and they not only betrayed Iranians but also your nation of Iraqi as well. There is plentiful evidence to show and affirm that in 1991, the Mojahedin stood side by side with Saddam’s forces in suppression of the Kurdish population in the north and the Shiite population in the south of Iraq. There is also evidence of the Mojahedin receiving financial help from Saddam Hussein for their terrorist and betrayal activities. As you know well, the Mojahedin-e-Khalq during those periods of time, trained terrorists in Iraq and led them inside Iran for terrorist activities in which many innocent civilians were killed and some badly injured, and definitely our people in Iran will never forget such betrayal, and we are sure the betrayed Iraqi have the same feeling as we do.

Today, after the fall of Saddam Hussein, the Mojahedin-e Khalq as usual, have appeared in other form of betrayal to Iraqi and Iranian nations. Inside Iraq, they encourage the Iraqi citizens to expand the sectarian war, so they could benefit from the crisis, and in Western countries, the Mojahedin-e-Khalq encourage the Western governments to start a war in Iran.

So dear Prime Minister, at the time of Saddam Hussein’s rule, it was not possible for us, the Iranians, to claim any justice against the Mojahedin-e-Khalq, because of the dictatorship government in Iraq. But now, since democracy has been established in Iraq, we would like to sincerely ask you, please bring the leaders of the Mojahedin-e-Khalq to a justice for what they have done over the past 25 years against the two nations with a aid of Saddam Hussein and his Baath Party, and free those innocent followers who are trapped in Ashraf simply by being brainwashed by the cult methods of Rajavi.

We hope for peace, stability and democracy in Iraq and the whole Middle East region, and faster action on closing the Camp Ashraf, so that the two neighboring countries are able to continue building a relationship based on trust and mutual respect.

 Sincerely,

Pars-Iran (dissociated Members of Mojahedin in Canada)

Mujahedin Khalq 's Terrorism

Beware of the New Terrorist Conspiracy

Dr. Jamal Al-Ali in an article dated July 5 published in Arz Alsawad newspaper warned Iraqi people against the new terrorist plots by Mojahedin, the US forces, the ousted regime’s elements and other terrorist factions. Starting its article referring to Mojahedin’s organized gathering in Camp Ahraf he stated:

The recent comments of a tribal leader from Dyalah province in an interview with an Iraqi satellite television asking Al-Maleki’s government to start investigating on the reasons and objectives of a meeting held in terrorist MKO’s Camp Ashraf with the assistance of US military commanders, military officers from former regime and with the participation of some group leaders sounds the alarm about such activities.

I was thinking about the issue when I received a letter from one of my literate Iraqi friends residing in Iran quoting in his letter a part of Keyhan Al-Arabi disclosing plots against the elected government of Mr. Nuri al-Maliki to restore the elements of the ousted Saddam to power by the assistance of the US occupying forces, MKO, pro-Baathist regime elements and other rejected terrorists. I take it my responsibility to inform of the Iraqi people of the terrorist plots.

Unveiling the objectives these terrorist plots he further elaborated:

They want to assassinate Shia clerics and elites and destabilize Kazemiah in order to crush the Shiites and then, introduce Al-Mahdi forces, Badr organization and Hizb Al-Dawa as the ones behind instability in Iraq.

By destabilizing the country, they want to convince public opinion that Nuri al-Maliki is not able to stabilize the country. They want their own puppets in the government.

MKO terrorists, who have declared their preparedness for conducting this plot, will engage with Shiites. In this way, they want to improve their face for Americans so as to be lifted from terror list!

Meetings are held in Camp Ashraf in order to coordinate terrorist operations.

Duplicity of the MEK nature

Rajavi’s Gang Expresses Support for Israel Crimes

As expected, the gang of Rajavi, by following the guidelines of Dan Gillerman and John Bolton (Israel and US ambassadors to the UN), supported the Israeli regime and accused Iran of igniting the fire of war in the Middle East and Lebanon, and asked for all-out sanctions against Iran.

In a hurried and desperate move, notorious gang of Rajavi linked the Israel’s aggression against Palestine and Lebanon to the recent decision of the west to return Iran’s nuclear case to the UN Security Council, while the preplanned aggression of Israelis started more than 20 days ago.

Maryam Rajavi, expressing MKO’s treacherous stance, stressed warmonger neocons’ strategy in the Middle East and claimed that Iran opposes peace in the Middle East and the establishment of democracy in Iraq.

To assure the masters that there are no real changes in policies of MKO, Maryam Rajavi- who became brave to condemn the killing of civilians after George W. Bush and Condi Rice expressed their positions- reminds Israelis of the fact that the conflict in Lebanon and Palestine strengthens Iran’s support for Palestinians.

So, the treacherous gang of Rajavi, which tries to use this chance to instigate Israel and warmongers to attack Iran, admits that Israel has started this conflict and that claim of Iran’s interferences is only part of a psychological war created by Israelis to cover their failures.

Rajavi’s gang has always yearned for a position like those of Hizballah and Hamas; Maryam Rajavi claimed that Iran has sent a cargo of weapons and missiles to Lebanon! If true, this should be done by all Islamic and Arab countries to counter the threats and aggressions of Israel.

Although the gang of Rajavi repeats unacceptable justifications of Israelis [for their crimes] in order to save its itself from unending crises, there’s no doubt that taking such positions- in addition to cooperation with Saddam- makes the group the most hated group in the region.

Iraqi Authorities' stance on the MEK

Iraq Might Force Out Iranian Militants

BAGHDAD — Prime Minister Nouri Maliki on Wednesday accused a militant Iranian opposition group of meddling in his country’s affairs and suggested that it could face expulsion from Iraq, where it has been based for 20 years.

The Iraqi leader said the Mujahedin Khalq, which is dedicated to toppling Iran’s Islamist government, had become too involved in Iraq’s political and social issues.

"It is interfering as if it is an Iraqi organization, despite the fact that it is considered to be one of the terrorist organizations and its presence in the country contradicts the constitution," Maliki said at a news conference.

In response to a question, he said that government communications with the group had been banned and that a committee had been established "to find out the procedures related to their existence here" and to determine which countries would be ready to accept them as refugees.

The United States has listed the Mujahedin Khalq as a terrorist organization, although some U.S. officials have praised it as a tough opponent of the Iranian government.

The group was believed responsible for the slayings of several U.S. soldiers and civilians working on defense contracts in Iran in the 1970s, when Washington backed the shah. The Mujahedin Khalq also supported and may have aided the 1979 takeover of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, during which 52 Americans were held hostage for 444 days.

Tehran strongly opposes the group and has pressured Baghdad’s Shiite-led government, dominated by parties with long-standing ties to Iran, to clamp down on its activities in Iraq.

A Mujahedin Khalq statement Wednesday said that its members had a right to protection under the Geneva Convention and that their safety was the responsibility of U.S.-led forces.

"Any action against the [Mujahedin] represents nothing but the demands and wishes of the theocracy ruling Iran that have been conveyed to the Iraqi prime minister," the statement said.

A spokesman for the group said earlier that it had not been informed by Baghdad that it may have to leave Iraq, whose government has improved ties with non-Arab Shiite Iran.

The Mujahedin Khalq, which has carried out attacks in Iran, was believed to have received support from former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, whose troops fought the Islamic Republic in the 1980s. But the group’s fortunes changed after a U.S.-led invasion toppled Hussein in 2003. It handed over its weapons after the U.S. bombed its bases.

Its estimated 4,000 members in Iraq are based at Camp Ashraf, north of Baghdad. It has many supporters in Europe and North America and operated openly in France until 2003.

The MEK Expulsion from Iraq

Iraq’s Just Decision on Mojahedin

Quoting the Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki reported by ISNA, Iran Focus, MKO’s mouthpiece, announced that the country was working to end the presence of the Mojahedin terrorist group on Iraq’s territory. “It was decided to limit the actions of this group and confine them to Camp Ashraf, north of Iraq, and prevent their contacts with ministers and government agencies”, al-Maliki said.

in a statement issued by the group, Mojahedin claim that “any action against the PMOI represents nothing but the demands and wishes of the theocracy ruling Iran that have been conveyed to the Iraqi Prime Minister by discredited “security agencies”. A terrorist group under the protection of coalition forces so insolently questions the new Iraqi government’s volition and condemns it to be under the influence of the neighbor country.

“Among the restrictions is a clampdown on the rights of the PMOI to distribute statements in Iraq”, al-Maliki said. It is a precise decision because the Iraqi government is well aware of Mojahedin’s persuasive propaganda machine. In June, Mojahedin, enjoying the protection of the occupying forces, held a gathering in Camp Ashraf announcing that some 5.2 million Iraqis had signed a petition supporting the right of PMOI members to political asylum in the country. But the group can never answer the question what is it afraid of when it has a claimed, guaranteed support of 5.2 million Iraqis? Neither the gathering nor the statement are authorized by the Iraqi government.

Mojahedin’s problem lies in the fact that they have not yet come to recognize the national-elected Iraqi government in a hope of a favorite change. They believe “The Multi-National Force-Iraq has the responsibility to protect them. Violating these rights would be considered a war crime”. Mojahedin have no choice but to submit to the will of Iraqi people and their elected, legal government because they are living on the expense of Iraqi people and any responsible government has the right to protect its nation against the threats of terrorists. Evacuation of the occupying forces gives the Iraqi government to have a just deal with all suspected groups enjoying protected status.
