Iran slams EU sheltering terrorists

After the blacklisting of army commanders, Iran urges action over ‘violations’ of its citizens’ rights by EU states.

In a strongly worded letter to the Council of the European Union, Iran formally protested against the blacklisting of several individuals and entities and what it says are European double standards on human rights in Iran.

The letter was written by the High Council of Human Rights of Iran – an entity under the country’s Supreme National Security Council currently headed by judiciary chief Ebrahim Raisi and comprised of several ministers – and handed to Portugal’s ambassador to Tehran Carlos Costa Neves as the country currently holds the presidency of the Council of the EU.

It comes in response to a move on April 12 by the EU to sanction eight military commanders and police chiefs, in addition to three prisons, for their role in a deadly crackdown of public protests in November 2019 that Amnesty International said led to at least 304 deaths.

The EU has now blacklisted 89 individuals and four entities as part of its decade-long human rights sanctions regime against those who it says are violating human rights in Iran.

In response, Iran’s foreign ministry said it will immediately suspend talks with the EU on human rights and all resulting cooperation, including that on “terrorism”, illicit drugs, and refugees. It also traced “political intentions” behind the move and said is considering reciprocal sanctions.

In its letter, the Iranian human rights council condemns the EU for its policies that it says are “enforcing the illegal and oppressive sanctions” unilaterally imposed by the United States after it withdrew from Iran’s 2015 nuclear deal with world powers in May 2018.

The sanctions, which intensified only after the COVID-19 pandemic began in early 2020, have hampered imports of food and medicine, in addition to creating money transfer issues in buying coronavirus vaccines.

The letter says a number of EU member states have imposed “intentional damage on the health and wellbeing of the Iranian people, particularly children, women, the elderly, and persons with disability”.

For instance, it lists the names of more than a dozen children who died because of a lack of access to vital medicine to treat epidermolysis bullosa (EB), a rare medical condition that results in blistering of the skin and mucous membranes.

It also describes how several European countries refused to work or deal with Iranian firms on medicine, medical equipment, and vaccines, and says several airports have failed to provide services to Iranian passenger planes because of US sanctions.

The human rights council also condemns the fact that Iranian migrants and students have faced difficulties in opening bank accounts in European countries based on their nationality, and says several Iranian citizens are held in European prisons on “arbitrary” charges and have been mistreated in prison.

Moreover, it says the EU should have unequivocally condemned the January 2020 assassination of Iran’s top general Qassem Soleimani by the United States as a “clear example of state terrorism” that Iran believes was assisted by elements within the German government.

Among other things, the council also holds that a number of European countries continue to shelter members of the Mujahedin-e Khalq, which Iran recognises as a “terrorist organisation”, and provided Saddam Hussein with chemical weapons during the Iran-Iraq war in the 1980s.

‘Double standards’
The letter is aimed at holding the EU accountable for its double standards on human rights in Iran, according to the deputy for international affairs at the Iranian council.

The letter is focused on two things: the violation of Iranians’ human rights by the EU inside Iran, and in European countries, Seyyed Majid Tafreshi told Al Jazeera.

“The Europeans who have so many claims on human rights are themselves the perpetrators of many human rights violations of Iranian citizens,” he said.

Tafreshi also said it is unfair that the EU directs the majority of its attention towards “following illegal sanctions imposed by the US” while ignoring the plight of Iranians inside and outside the country.

According to Tafreshi, the human rights council expects an “actionable response” to its letter, which called on the EU to “bring the violators of the fundamental rights of the Iranian nation into trial without any politicisation”.
It would only “strengthen Iran’s position” if the EU fails to adequately respond, he said.

‘Utter lack of knowledge’
An EU source told Al Jazeera the Council of the EU has yet to receive the letter, so it cannot comment on its contents.

Peter Stano, an EU spokesperson for foreign affairs and security policy, said it would be wrong to claim the EU has supported US sanctions on Iran.

“Quite to the contrary, the EU repeatedly rejected the unilateral imposition of the US sanctions and prevented US efforts under the Trump administration to reintroduce UN sanctions on Iran,” he said.

“And it was the EU that was always looking for ways to enable food and medicine supplies to Iran, especially in the context of the coronavirus pandemic. To claim otherwise is utter lack of knowledge and ignorance.”

Stano said the new European sanctions listings are completely unrelated to continuing efforts to restore the Iran nuclear deal.
“The EU supports a balanced, comprehensive approach with Iran through dialogue, with a view to addressing all issues of concern including human rights,” he said. “We are critical when there are divergences and cooperative when there is mutual interest.”

Talks on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in Vienna have been continuing for several weeks, with all sides saying progress is being made on lifting US sanctions and reversing Iran’s nuclear steps despite lingering challenges.

Role models for the Iranian young generation and resistance

Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami says the Resistance forces are winning on battlefields against the United States and the Zionist regime and have become a sizeable and influential power.

Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami made the comments today during a ceremony to commemorate the IRGC Quds Force second-in-command General Seyyed Mohammad Hejazi, who passed away last Sunday.

He hailed the important role that Martyrs Qassem Soleimani and Hejazi played in the fight the Takfiris in Iraq and Syria and said”Had it not been for the command of Martyr Haj Qassem and Martyr Hejazi in Syria and the Axis of Resistance, America with the help of its proxies the takfiri groups, would have dried up the roots of Islam and the Islamic Revolution in the region.”

He further pointed out that today martyrs like Soleimani, Hejazi, and Sayyad Shirazi, who served as the commander of the Ground Force and was assassinated by terrorist MKO in 1999, are a role model for the young generation, declaring that the IRGC and the regular Army have joined hands to continue defending the country and the Islamic Revolution against American and Zionist front.

Gen. Hatami added that the IRGC and the Army have jointly created security and deterrence for the nation, adding that the American and Israeli enemies have today been defeated by the resistance forces.

“Today, the resistance fronts consisting of Iran, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen,… against the United States and the Zionist regime are not only undefeated and passive but they are considered the victors of the battlefields and [have become] a sizeable and influential power.”

The cult of Rajavi

Kamran loved his wife

Kamran Bayati was born in 1963. He was a young boy when he joined the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (the MKO/ MEK/ PMOI/ Cult of Rajavi). In 1998, he was mysteriously killed in the group’s headquarter in Iraq, Camp Ashraf.

Ex-members of the MEK, GhorbanAli Hosseinnezhad, Foad Basri, Mohammad Karami and Iraj Salehi approve Kamran’s bitter fate as the result of the group’s cult-like suppressive ruling.

Divorce

Mohammad Karami had organizational cooperation with Kamran when they were both in Iran. In Camp Ashraf, they were close friends too. Karami remembers that Kamran had married a woman named Fatemeh just a month before Massoud Rajavi ordered members to divorce their spouses. Based on a cult jargon, called Ideological Revolution, the entire members of the MEK had to divorce their spouses.

Kamran was not able to get along with forced divorce. He was in love with his ex-wife. He was sad and depressed but he worked hard. “I work hard to forget my grieves”, he told Mohammad Karami. Therefore, Kamran was under severe supervision by the commanders. He was forced to attend long brainwashing meetings. His commanders, Afsaneh Shahrokhi and Fahimeh Mahuzi and etc. put horrible mental pressure to coerce him into the cult regulations.

“Why don’t you leave the group?” Mohammad asked Kamran. “If I say I am out, I will no more be alive. They will restrict and control me more and more, that will be like death to me.” Kamran told his friend.

The last day of his life, he was supposed to attend a meeting again. “Mahimeh Mahuzi went mad and began shouting at him,” Mohammad Karami recalls. “At night we went to the eating place for dinner but Kamran didn’t come. Nobody knew where he was.”

“We were ordered to look after him in the armors parking,” Iraj Salehi writes in an article about Kamran’s death. “We found him dead in the corner of a room there”.

His comrades think that Kamran had swallowed a cyanide capsule but the group authorities declared that he had a heart attack because of too much smoking!

MEK Women
The cult of Rajavi

The miseries of young women inside the Cult of Rajavi

Family is a group of persons united by ties of marriage, blood or adoption constituting a single household interacting and inter-communicating with each other. Leaders of destructive cults tend to break all these ties, interactions and intercommunications of families of their followers. This is exactly what the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (the MKO/ MEK/ PMOI/ Cult of Rajavi) committed against the concept of family during its entire history.

After the 1979 revolution of Iran, Massoud Rajavi took over the group in the absence of main leaders of the group who were executed by the Shah’s security forces. The rule of Massoud Rajavi over the MEK ruined the total center of family in the MEK.”Rajavi liked having women around him and overhauled the command structure to replace the men with women — this time calling it a ”constitutional revolution.”, Elizabeth Rubin wrote in June 2003 after her visit to Camp Ashraf, Iraq. She had been allowed by the MEK authorities to enter their camp covering a report about the Mujahedin in Ashraf. However, her investigative report titled”the Cult of Rajavi”, turned out to expose horrible facts about the cult-like relations inside Camp Ashraf.

Massoud Rajavi

Rubin states that the MEK leaders”like to boast”that”the Mujahedeen is a family affair”. She quotes the cult leaders saying”We have three generations of martyrs: grandmothers, mothers, daughters”. Then Rubin tries to shed light on how the third generation was involved with the MEK affairs. She investigates about”a dozen young women commandos who trotted with their Kalashnikovs on a scrubby field, camouflage leaves and twigs bouncing on their helmets, their faces blurred by green paint.”

“Most of the girls I was meeting had grown up in Mujahedeen schools in Ashraf, where they lived separated from their parents,”Rubin writes about the life of children at Camp Ashraf.”Family visits were allowed on Thursday nights and Fridays. When Iraq invaded Kuwait, many of these girls were transported to Jordan and then smuggled to various countries — Germany, France, Canada, Denmark, England, the United States — where they were raised by guardians who were usually Mujahedeen supporters.”

To realize why these girls”decided”to get back from Europe to Iraq, she refers to the testimonies of the first female defector of the MEK, Nadereh Afshari. She was one of the teachers and instructors of Mujahedin children in the group’s school in Iraq and then in the group’s pension for children in Germany. She was also one of the group’s officials to transfer children from Iraq to Europe.

“When they were 18 or 19, many of them decided to come back to Iraq and fill the ranks of the youngest Mujahedeen generation,”Rubin asserts.”Though ”decided” is probably not the right word, since from the day they were born, these girls and boys were not taught to think for themselves but to blindly follow their leaders.”

MEK Children

”Every morning and night, the kids, beginning as young as 1 and 2, had to stand before a poster of Massoud and Maryam, salute them and shout praises to them,” Nadereh Afshari told Rubin.”When the German government tried to absorb Mujahedeen children into their education system, the Mujahedeen refused. Many of the children were sent to Mujahedeen schools, particularly in France. The Rajavis saw these kids as the next generation’s soldiers. They wanted to brainwash them and control them.”

adereh Afshari and Elizabeth Rubin were two of the early people who denounced the MEK as the destructive cult of Rajavi that violates the most basic rights of its members especially the female ones. It did not take so long that other female defectors of the group revealed facts on the life of female members in the MEK. Batul Soltani’s famous testimony was like a bomb. She revealed the mass marriages of Massoud Rajavi with members of the Elite Council of the MEK. Batul, herself, was one of the victims of Massoud’s sexual abuse before she could manage to escape from the cult. The group authorities had forced her to divorce from her husband. They have separated her two children from her. Her daughter and son had been sent to Europe. She was not only deprived from a normal family life but also was forced to marry Massoud Rajavi as well as many other women of the group.

Consequently, several former female members of the group including Nasrin Ebrahimi, Zahra Mirbagheri, Zahra Moini, Maryam Sanjabi came out to put emphasis on testimonies of their ex-comrades. Their memoirs, articles, books and testimonies are all accessible. The evidences they present seem enough to bring the leaders of the Mujahedin Khalq to trial.

MEK Terrorists
Mujahedin Khalq; A proxy force

MEK: foot soldiers of imperialism

Olsi Jazexhi, an Albanian historian, believes that terrorist groups like Jabhat al-Nusra, Daesh and MEK are mercenaries of Israel and the U.S. to undermined the Muslim world.

“Jahbat al-Nusra, Daesh and MEK are front organizations of Israeli and American imperialism against the Muslim world,”Jazexhi tells the Tehran Times.

“They are the foot soldiers of the Zionist allegiance in the destruction of Muslim nation-states,”he adds.

Iranian officials have directly pointed the finger at Israel for assassinating top nuclear scientists, including Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, by using the terrorist cult group of Mujahedin-e Khalq, known as MEK, as foot soldiers.

Though the European Union and the U.S. have removed MEK from the list of terrorist organizations, they are still committing terrorist acts inside Iran with direct order of Israel. Iran has been censuring certain European states for harboring the cultish terrorist organization.

“Even though Israel officially has not shown any direct relation with MEK, unofficially, it as well as the Evangelical U.S. administration of President Trump used MEK and its experience in terrorism and false flag attacks as a tool for attacking and blackmailing Iran,”the Albanian historian notes.

Olsi Jazexhi

Following is the text of the interview:

Q: What was your impression when you noticed that Kosovo has opened an embassy in Jerusalem?

A: The opening of Kosova’s embassy in Jerusalem was an illegal act which the government of Benjamin Netanyahu forced on the government of Abdullah Hoti. The opening was the result of lengthy machinations that Richard Grenell, the Evangelical Presidential Envoy for Serbia and Kosovo for President Trump, did from 2019 to 2020 as part of his project to force the government of Kosovo and Serbia to sign a”Normalization Agreement.”
Kosovo’s embassy opening was part of the project Zionist Abraham Accords which Israel and the Trump administration imposed on many Muslim majority countries. These accords wanted to subjugate the rest of Islamic Ummah to Israel and force the Muslim world to capitulate on the question of Palestine to the Evangelical/Zionist bloc.

The opening of the Kosovo embassy in Jerusalem was made by blackmail and a coup against the Albin Kurti government, which the Americans organized in 2020.

Q: What are the ties between Israel and MEK in Albania?

A: Israel, which during the era of Socialism was considered an aggressor state by Albania, nowadays enjoys a very privileged status in Albanian politics. Israel has an embassy in Tirana, Albania, and our corrupt politicians do all they can to please the Israeli ambassadors in our country since they know that they have a lot of power over the Americans. During the past years the Israeli embassy has been very successful in turning the state of Albania against the Arab and Muslim countries, and today Israel should be very happy by the fact that Albania hosts an ex-terrorist organization, the Mojahedin/Monafeqeen (MEK), in its soil. Jahbat al-Nusra, Daesh and MEK are front organizations of Israeli and American imperialism against the Muslim world. They are the foot soldiers of the Zionist allegiance in the destruction of Muslim nation-states. Since Israel is the enemy of Iran, we can easily conclude that the enemy of Iran should be the best friend of Israel.

During the era of the Trump administration, MEK was boosted in Albania and in Europe and presented as the ‘Iranian opposition’ who will overthrow the Islamic Republic of Iran and replace the current government with a pro-American puppet regime headed by the cult leader of MEK, Maryam Rajavi. Since its coming to Albania in 2016, MEK has been used by their American /Israeli supporters to make countless false claims against the Islamic Republic of Iran and attack and downgrade the presence of Iran in the Balkans. MEK uses its paramilitary base in Albania to attack every Iranian institution in the world and these attacks are later presented as facts by Israeli agencies. Israeli think tank organizations like the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) and its researchers like Dr. Shaul Shay have openly supported ex-terrorist MEK, called them”Iranian Opposition,”and propagated their lies as truths. The American Jewish Committee (AJC) has also promoted MEK and hosted Prime Minister Edi Rama to deliver a speech to this committee where he defended this Iranian ex-terrorists cult and compared them with the Jews during the Holocaust.

Even though Israel officially has not shown any direct relation with MEK, unofficially it as well as the Evangelical U.S. administration of President Trump used MEK and its experience in terrorism and false flag attacks as a tool for attacking and blackmailing Iran, many European governments and citizens who wanted to have normal relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
However, the good news is that since the coming of Joe Biden in power in the White House, MEK seems to have downgraded its illegal activities from Albania towards Iran and Europe. Albanians pray and hope that the new U.S. administration will force Albania to dismantle the MEK paramilitary camp and force MEK to be deradicalized and abandon terrorism.

MEK and Israel

Q: How do you assess Arab states’ position regarding the Palestine cause especially after Bahrain and the Emirates normalized ties with Israel?

A: After the U.S. invasion and destruction of the Arab republics in Iraq, Libya, Syria and Yemen, the Arab world has plunged into chaos and desperation. The dictatorial regimes of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, who have seen the destruction of their Arab neighbors have submitted their national sovereignty to the United States and Israel. They have accepted the defeat and understood that their survival depends on their total submission to the Western alliance. As a part of this submission (Persian) Gulf Arabs have accepted to abandon their glorious Islamic and Arab identity and turn back to the days of pre-Islamic jahiliyah, when Arab tribes were ruled by the tribes of Banu Qaynuqa.

The Saudis, Emiratis and Bahrainis have betrayed the victories of Prophet Muhammed, Hazrat Umar, Khalid ibn al-Walid, the Abbasids and the Ottomans and have descended back to the era of pre-Islamic Arabia when they were clients of the Byzantine and Sassanid Empire. The regimes of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain today have turned against their civilization and incite hate against the Turks and the Iranians who defended and developed them for 1400 years.

Part of the Arab defeat is even abandoning Palestine and the Holy Mosque of Masjid al-Aqsa to the Zionist colonizers. Trump and Israel have made clear to the dictatorial regimes of the (Persian) Gulf that their survival is at the hand of the United States and Israel. For this reason, they are begging Israel to support their despotic regimes and, in exchange, have agreed to sell the Holy Land of Palestine, which the Sahabas of Prophet Muhammed, Abu Ubaidah ibn al-Jarrah and Umar gave to Islam 1384 years ago. The Abraham Accords have exposed to the world the most humiliating time for Arab regimes. However, some Arabs, or the so-called Arabs of the Axis of Resistance which is directed by Iran, show that nowadays, there are still some Arabs who are alive and refuse the humiliation and defeat.

Q: How do you see the Biden administration’s approach towards Palestine?

A: Today, the American Empire is facing an existential threat arising from China. While the Trump administration had an open hostility towards Islam and Palestine and the Evangelical lunatics of the White House like Mike Pompeo, Mike Pence and Richard Grenell had convinced Sinner Trump that he was the Biblical Esther who will save Israel from the Persians, the Biden administration seems to be more down to earth and pragmatic.

The Biden administration is not as zealous towards the fundamentalist regime of Israel. While it will not cause undue crimes that the Trump administration committed against Palestine, I believe that this administration will show more respect for Muslims and Palestinians. It does not mean that Biden will return to Catholicism and liberate Palestine for Christianity; however, I believe that the Estherian dream of the Evangelicals of Trump wanted to see the Armageddon against Muslims will not happen any time soon.

I believe that the Biden administration, which is desperate to contain China, will try to have a new approach with Iran, Palestine and the Axis of Resistance in order to turn these Arab and Islamic countries away from the Chinese project of One Road, One Belt. Even though Biden is under a lot of pressure from the Zionist groups in the United States, I believe that the new Chinese expansion in Asia is a major threat for the Anglo-American civilization, which will halt for the time being any major Zionist lunacy against Palestine.

Q: How do you assess European countries’ position when it comes to Palestine?
A: Europe is a divided continent. The historical left, which was the major supporter of Palestine nowadays, is very weak. The American interference in Europe’s internal affairs in regard to Islam, Iran and Palestine has shown that European countries are no longer able to defend their national interest and impose peace in the Holy Land. While countries like France, Germany and Italy would love to see an independent Palestine and peace in the Middle East (West Asia), the European policies towards Palestine will continue to be dictated by the U.S. projects for the New Middle East (West Asia).

Farhad was no more seen after his dissent against the MEK

Farhad Tahmasbi joined the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (the MKO/ MEK/ PMOI/ Cult of Rajavi) in Iraq, in 1990. He was killed in the prison of Camp Ashraf, in 1994.

At least four former members of the MEK confirm that Farhad was killed in the prisons of Camp Ashraf, the MEK’s headquarters in Iraq. Foad Basri, Hadi Shabani, GhorbanAli Hossein Nejad and Mohammad Razaghi list him among those rank and file of the MEK who were killed, eliminated or disappeared in the MEK.

MEK Cult

Foad Basri recalls Farhad as one of his comrades. They were in the same martial unit. “Farhad had a sense of humor”, Basri writes about him. “He could not stand the way the authorities treated members so he used to talk against them in our private groups.”

Farhad had asked to leave the group but he had not been allowed by the commanders. Instead, he had been put under severe pressure. “Farhad’s spirit had become very low,” Basri continues. “He had gone on hunger strike to oppose the leaders.”

However, the hunger strike did not work. “One day, he was taken to the commander’s office,” Basri writes. “He was beaten seriously and then they moved him to another place. I did not see him anymore until the day I was in Ashraf.”

Mohammad Razaghi, the ex-member of the MEK asserts that in 1994, Massoud Rajavi ordered the imprisonment and torture of more that 500 miserable members of the rank and file of his cult. “Farhad Tahmasbi was one of the prisoners who was killed under the brutal tortures by commanders of the cult of Rajavi,” Razaghi reveals. “But, in 1996 the group propaganda published the name of Farhad Tahmasbi as a martyr in Mujahed journal.”

Farhad Tahmasbi is one of the long list of MEK members who were eliminated in the organizational hierarchy of the group.

Iran Interlink Weekly Digest

Iran Interlink Weekly Digest – 284

++ MEK published something in the name of Hadi Sani Khani in the Iran Efshahgah site – one of tens of sites dedicated to swearing at critics – which revealed their true face. Hadi apparently says he has not been transferred to France: ‘It is all a lie I have not been kidnapped. You are all agents of the regime’. Some people reacted by pointing out that Hadi is not well educated and yet this piece is written by someone fairly literate, so this writing doesn’t match with it being him. Secondly, if it is him, where is he? Alireza Nasrollahi from France wrote a note asking ‘what kind of organization is this? The head is missing for two decades, their defector is suddenly missing but claims on a website that he hasn’t been kidnapped. The organisation has become websites rather than real people’. Atefeh Nadalian in Tehran wrote an analysis of the situation. Nadalian looks at what Hadi said previously when he had left MEK and was warning that this kind of activity goes on – kidnapping etc. And now MEK putting this on their site exactly proves that Hadi was right and that they have kidnapped him. Nadalian compares what the MEK actually do with what they say. ‘If you exempt those inside the camp who can’t complain, when you look at these actions everybody outside the camp can see they are spitting into the wind. The only conclusion is that this is for internal consumption.’

++ Several people reacted to the news that Iran and the Saudis have started talking in Iraq. Edvard Theramdor from Germany says after indirect Iran US talks took place in Vienna and Iran Saudi talks took place in Iraq, the only place left for the MEK to hide is Tel Aviv. Their only hope is that Iran won’t talk to anyone in Israel. Thermador emphasises “it is not me saying this, this is being said by my friends inside MEK. It has become a joke for them; ‘this is the end of us!’.”

++ Ghafour Fatahian in Paris has written a note on the surfacing of Maryam Rajavi in France and her vanishing again. Fatahian says we have been clearly informed in France that Rajavi was given a few days limited visa on a piece of paper issued in Albania by the government there. All the time she was under observation, not allowed to come out of her compound or travel to anywhere else in the EU. She managed to make five international conference call videos in three days, and attend a ceremony at the graveside of Behzad Moezi (whose family denounced Maryam Rajavi for desecrating his memory). Looking at MEK coverage, the phrase ‘Maryam Rajavi’s residence in France’ is used over and over again in an effort to say ‘I have not been deported’. Which only has a backlash because everyone can now see that she has been deported. By overdoing it they have proved the truth.

In English:

++ Mazda Parsi of Nejat Society asks what happened to Massoud Rajavi’s generation of MEK members. These are the people who joined MEK before the 1979 revolution, up to 1985 when recruitment methods changed. According to Parsi the key to unlocking the answer can be found in evidence of the cultic abuse suffered by these long-term victims. Writers, including Anne Singleton, Elizabeth Rubin in the New York Times magazine along with the personal testimonies of former members. The piece concludes that eventually all the members will wake up and escape the brainwashing.

++ Nusantaranews of Indonesia published a piece about the JCPOA talks and the attempts to sabotage them. The piece reviewed various Israeli attacks – Natanz, Mohsen Fakhirazadeh – pointing out the irony of that country refusing to disclose its own nuclear program. In America, the Israeli and anti-Iran lobbyists are fully active. The MEK are also mentioned as a ‘terrorist organization [which] strongly opposes US-Iran diplomacy’. The piece concludes that if Iran is goaded into revenge, this pressure could drag the US into a war it cannot necessarily win.

++ Tasmin News published part 7 of a review by Abbas Salimi Namin of a book by Ronen Bergman titled ‘The Secret War With Iran’. Bergman is a committed Zionist. Namin is Director of the Iran History Studies and Compilation Bureau. In this review, Namin seeks to correct errors in Bergman’s book, particularly in respect to the relation of Ayatollah Khomeini to opposition groups at the time of the 1979 Revolution.
