The families whose children are taken as hostages in Camp Ashraf, asked the Iraqi government to execute the regulation ruled by the council of ministers, based on taking the responsibility of protection of Camp Ashraf from American forces and paving the way for MKO / PMOI expulsion.
Ever since Iraq came under the US occupation, one of the important issues for the Americans has been the way they should treat the Mujahedin Khalq / PMOI who had been operating as an arm of Saddam Hussein against Iran and against the Intifada as well as the political currents opposed to the Saddam regime in Iraq. ..the Camp Ashraf in Iraq can be considered the cultic and ideological base of the Mujahedin Khalq that generalizes the cultic principles to other wings active even in the Western countries. The Mujahedin Khalq organization is actually facing a problem in this respect; there exists a great difference in the life-style of the members living in Camp Ashraf, living a harsh, military life of severe restrictions and regular cult practices, and those residing in the West who are benefiting the freedom of a democratic world.

The members’ avalanche-like drift to TIPF indicates their desperate attempt to be relieved of the painful misery there …A few have also committed suicide because they could not bear the imposed pressure and failed to join others in TIPF…Many wonder that how can the captives in Ashraf, many of them women, ever chant jubilant cheers for removing the terrorist tag
the UK Government is now being urged to recognize the Mojahedin-e Khalq as an organisation which does not believe in violence to achieve its political aims – although the MKO has never formally announced in either English or Farsi that it intends to renounce violence.

Mohammadi told Al Forat:”when I was looking for my daughter who had been kidnapped with her brother Mohammad Mohammadi ten years ago, in Iraq, I found out that she is under physical and mental pressure by the MKO’s agents” . And Mohamadi stressed that he has submitted an appeal against them and an Iraqi court has issued the arrest warrant for three people of the leaders. He noted that the group prevents his daughter from returning to Canada.
