They notified that MKO leaders seriously feel threatened and terrified due to the families’ presence.

Mr. Mehdi Khoshhal said:" It is funny that Rajavi wonders why families of MKO victims use loudspeakers to send their messages to their beloved ones or why the number of loudspeakers around Camp Ashraf is increased. "

Mujahedin Khalq Organization as a terrorist group

ADVT: West should stop supporting MKO terrorists

ADVT’s letter to Spain Prime Minister

Dear Mr. José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero:

Prime Minister of SpainJosé Luis Rodríguez Zapatero , Prime ministerof Spain
Undoubtedly terrorism has turned out to be the most important threat against the human society in the beginning of the third millennium. The suppression of this phenomenon relies on the mutual cooperation between governments and international bodies and avoiding any dual approach towards it.

Your Excellency,
We, the families of terrorism victims of the Middle East, expressing our sympathy with you and the people of Spain on the occasion of the anniversary of the 11th March terrorist attack in Madrid subway in 2004 which led to the killing of 191 people and the injury of more than 1500, condemn any act of terrorism which endangers the lives of innocent people.

Mr. Prime Minister,
The Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism (ADVT) consisting of the families of terrorism victims of the Middle East condemning any act of terrorism anywhere in the world believes that with the expansion of terrorism in various parts of the world, not any country would be safe from the anti human attacks of terrorist groups. As we know, during the recent years many terrorist attacks have been occurred in European countries.

Your Excellency,
The support made by some international bodies and governments for the terrorist groups can be regarded as one of the problems in the course of the global fight against terrorism. In spite of the existence of anti-terrorism laws and Security Council and UN General Assembly Resolutions on suppressing this plight, we witness the support of some governmental officials of the activities of the terrorist groups. Such terrorist groups are included in the list of the terrorist organizations of many countries and the international documents have also emphasized on their terrorist nature. However, due to the current political games they still are supported by some European countries.

Mr. Prime Minister,
The expansion of such backings from terrorist groups even in the form of political games is the main reason for the dissemination of violent terrorist acts and consequently the murder of innocent people and the decreasing of the international security.

Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism once more condemning any act of terrorism in the world and the 11th March terrorist attack in Madrid calls for the increase of the global efforts in fighting against terrorism and prevent any illegal support in European countries in favor of terrorist groups.

Court Session Held in Paris on French Intelligence Support for MKO

The second session of a court hearing on the former Director of the French Counterterrorism Agency’s (DST) support for the anti-Iran terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) was held in Paris on Thursday evening.

The session was held on March 10 after three individuals who were named in a fake book as elements of the Iranian regime filed a complaint.

The first session of the court had been held on December 17-18, 2009, during which Yves Bonnet, the former Member of the French National Assembly and Director of the DST, and MKO’s ringleaders as well as head of the publication that published the fake book were found guilty.

Yves Bonnet had paid several visits to MKO’s main training camp, the Camp of New Iraq (formerly known as Camp Ashraf) in Iraq’s Northern province of Diyala, the Habilian association – a human rights group formed of the family members and relatives of the Iranian victims of terrorism – said in its website on Saturday.
The MKO has been in Iraq’s Diyala province since the 1980s.

The MKO, whose main stronghold is in Iraq, is blacklisted by much of the international community, including the United States.

Before an overture by the EU, the MKO was on the European Union’s list of terrorist organizations subject to an EU-wide assets freeze. Yet, the MKO puppet leader, Maryam Rajavi, who has residency in France, regularly visited Brussels and despite the ban enjoyed full freedom in Europe.

The MKO is behind a slew of assassinations and bombings inside Iran, a number of EU parliamentarians said in a recent letter in which they slammed a British court decision to remove the MKO from the British terror list. The EU officials also added that the group has no public support within Iran because of their role in helping Saddam Hussein in the Iraqi imposed war on Iran (1980-1988).

Many of the MKO members abandoned the terrorist organization while most of those still remaining in the camp are said to be willing to quit but are under pressure and torture not to do so.

A May 2005 Human Rights Watch report accused the MKO of running prison camps in Iraq and committing human rights violations.
According to the Human Rights Watch report, the outlawed group puts defectors under torture and jail terms.

The group, founded in the 1960s, blended elements of Islamism and Stalinism and participated in the overthrow of the US-backed Shah of Iran in 1979. Ahead of the revolution, the MKO conducted attacks and assassinations against both Iranian and Western targets.

The group started assassination of the citizens and officials after the revolution in a bid to take control of the newly established Islamic Republic. It killed several of Iran’s new leaders in the early years after the revolution, including the then President, Mohammad Ali Rajayee, Prime Minister, Mohammad Javad Bahonar and the Judiciary Chief, Mohammad Hossein Beheshti who were killed in bomb attacks by MKO members in 1981.

The group fled to Iraq in 1986, where it was protected by Saddam Hussein and where it helped the Iraqi dictator suppress Shiite and Kurd uprisings in the country.
The terrorist group joined Saddam’s army during the Iraqi imposed war on Iran (1980-1988) and helped Saddam and killed thousands of Iranian civilians and soldiers during the US-backed Iraqi imposed war on Iran.

Since the 2003 US invasion of Iraq, the group, which now adheres to a pro-free-market philosophy, has been strongly backed by neo-conservatives in the United States, who also argue for the MKO to be taken off the US terror list.

Iraqi security forces took control of the training base of the MKO at Camp Ashraf – about 60km (37 miles) north of Baghdad – last year and detained dozens of the members of the terrorist group.

The Iraqi authority also changed the name of the military center from Camp Ashraf to the Camp of New Iraq.

Iraqi Authorities' stance on the MEK

Why does no one deal with Mojahedin Khalq?

When witnessing Qaddafi’s behavior in the recent suppressing of the Libyan , we remember that of Saddam. Even in recruiting mercenaries (from African countries neighboring Libya)—Saddam did something similar. Perhaps Gaddafi has adopted Saddam Hussein’s style. Seyyed Ammar Hakim, the Head of the Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq

We should bear in mind that Saddam Hussein hired mercenaries from terrorist groups, particularly from the MEK, those who were hired to kill, torture and harass the Iraqi people and who settled in prosperous military townships. Unfortunately, they are still in Iraq even 8 years after the overthrow of Saddam Hussein, for no specific reason, living in the townships of Saddam Hussein who prepared them for their use. No one seems to ask why members of the group that attacked Iraqis and tortured people remain under a protective umbrella in the Ashraf camp, and are responsible for nothing. They were not even prosecuted for the crimes committed in Iran and Iraq.

In contrast, Imam Hussein pilgrims from Iran and Afghanistan, with the love of Imam Hussain (PBUH) and visiting Iraq, have been captured and now have been kept in jail for a long time. These pilgrims entered the country without a visa, then they were tried and imprisoned: this justification for their arrests is accurate and fair, but the question is why are the MEK free to walk the streets of the country and have all amenities in their camps? The facilities provided in the camps since Saddam’s time are amenities of which Iraqi citizens are deprived in many cities.

Some time ago, an Afghan diplomatic delegation came to me and asked me to do something for some Afghan pilgrims who entered the country illegally, were arrested, and now are in jail. They claimed that those people were women, children and the elderly who could not tolerate and endure in prison. The problem is not why the government treats people who entered the country illegally in such a manner, but why the MEK, a legacy left by the Baathist regime, having not only no benefit to the country but also damaging it with harassment and political costs for the Iraqi government and people, still remain in the country and no one has the right to protest their presence. They have exploited this situation and created many inconveniences for Iraqi citizens.

While there are dozens of reasons and documents that prove these people (MEK) have participated in the assassination of Iraqis and also in the Baathists and al Qaeda bombings in recent years, for those actions judicial orders have been issued but none have been executed. Why are they not submitted, while Iraqi courts put the emphasis on the crimes and issue orders for their detention and their punishment, and yet why does no one execute the sentences issued against them? Their crimes are underlined in the court to be dealt with carefully in an organized manner. It is a pity that Iraqi citizens are being prosecuted with judicial verdicts, but dozens of criminals of the MEK, whose verdicts have been issued, are not prosecuted.

Prevent MKO from committing further crimes against women

Association for defending Victims of Terrorism sent a letter to Ms. Michelle Bachelet, the Executive director of UN Women to congratulate her appointment as the chair of this new Executive Director of UN Womenestablishment and felicitate the International day of Women and also call for taking immediate measures for the administration of women’s rights.

Dear Ms. Michelle Bachelet:

Executive Director of UN Women
Over many decades history has witnessed much oppression against women all over the world. The extent of the violation of women’s rights is by no means tolerable and forgivable. The efforts made for the administration of women’s rights nowadays, are really valuable and praiseworthy. With the establishment of the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women as the main international authority for protecting women’s rights, we would certainly observe great measures for ending oppression and discrimination against women.

Ms. President,
Congratulating you for your appointment as the Executive Director of UN Women entity and felicitating the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day, association for Defending victims of Terrorism wishes the best for you. ADVT believes that establishment of this international body and your presidency over it, has brought about hope in the heart of those seeking for freedom and fight against inhuman approaches against women.

Ms. President,
You would certainly confirm that despite all the efforts made in this regard, still there are many women who undergo violence and discrimination just for being a female. Meanwhile, the approaches adopted by some cults against women are the source of the worst types of oppression against them. By taking a look at the nature of some terrorist cults, you would find crimes against this gender which cannot be found anywhere else.

Based on international reports and documents and the confessions of Mojahedin-e Khalq’s (MKO/MEK/PMOI) defected members, this terrorist cult is one of the worst violator of women’s rights. In international documents including the Human Rights Watch report of May 2005, the RAND report of October 2008, the report of the German Federal Office for the Protection of constitution and the US Congress report in 1994, as well as the annual reports of the US Department of State, the violation of human rights especially women’s rights by this sect have been asserted. This cult is considered a threat for the global security in all these documents.

The issue which has raised many concerns is the way of treating women in this cult. In fact, the leaders of this terrorist cell have deprived their female members from the rights of marriage, having child, loving their family members, using cosmetics or choosing their own way of life. The surprising point is that women even do not have the right to think about the opposite gender and the violators of this law would deserve prison and punishment.

The terrorist cult of MKO has assassinated more than 12000 Iranians including 100 women and 870 children. We, the families of terrorism victims try our best efforts to prevent from further murders by this cult and find a way for the freedom of the women and children imprisoned by this group; the members of MKO, both men and women, are victims of the ambitious goals of their leaders.

In a report issued by American National Defense Institute (RAND) you read:” As a part of the “ideological revolution,” the Rajavis mandated divorce and celibacy. Compulsory divorce required couples to place their wedding rings in a bowl and renounce their affections for one another. However, The rules did not apply to the leaders.

In addition to their geographic and ideological isolation, MeK members in Iraq are severely socially and emotionally isolated, even within their communal living arrangements. Relatives and former spouses are placed in different compounds and are not allowed to see each other. Prior to the U.S. , invasion of Iraq in 1991, children were sent to live with foster families in Europe, ostensibly to protect them from the impending invasion.

Despite the MeK’s claim to support gender equality and the placement of women in leadership roles, men and women are kept strictly apart in MeK camps. Housing is segregated by gender, and in other buildings, lines are painted down the middle of hallways, separating them into men’s and women’s sides.

The MeK holds daily, weekly, and monthly “sessions” that involve forced public confessions aimed at expelling deviant thoughts and behaviors that are believed to undermine group coherence. MeK members are required to keep daily records of their thoughts and nighttime dreams, particularly sexual thoughts and desires

Revealing the sufferings of the families of terrorism victims in Middle East, Association for Defending Victims of terrorist intends to prevent the innocent men and women from being deceptively recruited by terrorist groups like al-Qaeda and Mojahedin-e Khalq. The deplorable situation of 1000 female residents of Ashraf Camp hurts the hearts of all liberals and women’ rights supporters. Therefore, we would like to ask your Excellency to immediately take the necessary steps for returning the imprisoned women of MKO to the heart of their society and family and avoid their further brain washing and mind manipulation by the cruel leaders of MKO.

Mujahedin Khalq as an Opposition Group

MKO, BBC Trying to Spark Tension in Iran through Fake Reports

The anti-Iran terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) and the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) have been in tight cooperation in recent months to fabricate and spread fake reports on Iran in a bid to spark tension and crisis in the country, a report said on Wednesday.

According to a report published by the website of the Habilian association – a human rights group formed of the family members and relatives of the Iranian victims of terrorism – the US and British radio and television networks, in an orchestrated move with the MKO, are desperately trying to spread fake and fabricated news to portray Iran as a country in tension and chaos.

The website added that the multifaceted cooperation has been broadened by the western media after their similar efforts to spark tension and unrests in Iran failed and led to the further unity among the Iranian nation.

The Habilian website added that in some cases the MKO members have sent out-dated pictures and footages of unrests in Iran or other neighboring countries to the BBC, trying to pretend that those footages had been taken from new unrests in Iran.

Earlier this month, reliable sources said that reports about the detention of opposition leaders by the Iranian government are false and have been fabricated and released by the members of the MKO in a move to stir unrests in Iran.[…]

Mr. Saeed Naseri left Iran In 1996 in order to travel to Europe where he was supposed to continue his studies. In Iraq from where he was supposed to travel to Europe, he was arrested by Iraqi security forces and imprisoned at Abu Quraib. There he was deceived by MKO recruiters and sent to Camp Ashraf.

Part of Mr. Naseri’s statement of Separation: "Briefly, I’d say that You have no power to think in Camp Ashraf. You have to do anything Maryam and Massoud say. You are like a slave. You are just given food and you have no other advantages, no access to free world and no contact with your family. "

Pictorial- Mahmoud Sepahi announces separation from MKO

Mr. Sepehri announced his separation from the MKO cult in Feb. 22, 2011 in a statement.Mr. Sepahi spent nine years in Rajavi’s cult. He could release himself and arrive in free world two years ago.

In part of the Statement of Seperation he declares:

When I asked for leaving Ashraf I was threatened to be imprisoned in Ashraf for two years and then I would be handed to Iraqi forces who would in turn jail me in Abu Quraib for eight years and finally I would be exchanged with Iraqi prisoners of war and would be delivered to Iranian government. Thus I remained in damned Camp Ashraf for nine years. ..When I declared my eagerness to leave the camp, first they tried to flatter me. Then they held numerous meetings for fourteen days but I succeeded to flee all their traps and released myself. In 2009, I could reach Europe by help of my family. Today in Feb. 22, 2011, I declare my complete separation from Mujahedin Khalq. I’m thankful to my God who helped me arrive in free world, live a free life and decide for my own future. I hope that my bitter experience will enlighten others who are at risk of being captured by such a terrorist destructive cult so that they won’t lose the best period of their life.

Mujahedin Khalq Organization members' families

Positive Outcomes of Protests outside MKO Camp

The Habilian Association, an Iran-based human rights group, reported that the yearlong protests by the family members and relatives of the members of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization outside the terrorist group’s main training camp in Iraq have yielded positive results.

According to a report published by the website of the Habilian association – a human rights group formed of the family members and relatives of the Iranian victims of terrorism – the MKO ringleaders have already adopted numerous measures to confront those relatives who have camped outside the Camp of New Iraq (formerly known as Camp Ashraf) in Iraq’s Northern province of Diyala for over a year now.

The MKO ringleaders have not allowed a visit between the group’s members and their families.

The report said despite all the suppressive moves made by the MKO, the yearlong protests by the families have yielded good results as families insist on their demand for the release of their beloved ones who are said to be held inside the camp against their will.

Defection and escape of a number of MKO members from the camp, increased support of the Iraqi people for the families and demonstration of the Iraqi people outside the Camp of New Iraq are among the positive outcomes of the families’ continued protests, the report continued.

The Habilian website added that the move has also provoked an angry and suppressive reaction of the terrorist group against the families, a reaction that has further unveiled the true nature of the suppressive and terrorist group.

Meantime, different groups of the Iraqi people have on various occasions gathered outside the main training center of the MKO in Iraq and called for the expulsion of the terrorist group from the country’s soil.

Iranian relatives of some MKO members also joined the protesters.
