MEK terrorists in Albania
Mujahedin Khalq Organization as a terrorist group

Albanian Police waste money, time and energy for the MEK terrorists

Special Anti-Corruption Structure of the Albanian Police (SPAK) raided the Association of the Support for the Iranians Living in Albania (ASILA) and the apartments of 20 people of the Iranian members of the association. The Albanian Police detained and interrogated them on Thursday July 14th,2022. However, they were freed after ten hours without being charged with any of the alleged accusations.

As the Albanian Police and media supposed that there are suspicions that espionage activities are carried out through ASILA and under the cover of cultural exchanges, no evidence was found to accuse these former members of the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK) of being spies.

Olsi Jazexhi

Dr. Olsi Jazexhi, Albanian historian and journalist

Dr. Olsi Jazexhi, Albanian historian and journalist twitted a thread on the case criticizing the act of the Albanian anti-terror Police of being the puppet of the US Embassy: “The charges that SPAK has launched against Iranian defectors are all fake invented by MEK since 2018. They are accused of being spies, working with #IRGC, planning to destroy MEK / PMOI etc. The police search in homes of defectors did not find anything illegal. The latest attack that MEK is directing against defectors is coming from Albanian SPAK and antiterror police. Rajavi has accused #Iranian defectors of being spies for #Iran. SPAK which takes orders from US Embassy is following Rajavi’s orders. They raided the homes of defectors.”

ASILA members - Nowruz 1401

ASILA members

Noticing the cult-like nature of the MEK and the part that ASILA plays to aid defectors of the cult get deradicalized and join the free society, Jazexhi writes, “Asila has been quite successful to provide a window of hope to dozen of #Iranians who want to free themselves from the PMOI cult. To stop the destruction of the cult, Rajavi has used all tricks she can.”

He concluded that the Albanian police raid on Iranian defectors’ homes is “a great failure for Maryam Rajavi & her terrorist command”. He asserts that Iranians who are hostages of the Cult of Rajavi will continue to defect and join the growing defectors in Tirana. Maryam Rajavi and her allies cannot simply jail people because they refuse terrorism of Rajavi.

Albania Thanasi

Gjergji Thanasi ; Albanian journalist

Gjergji Thanasi another Albanian journalist and one of the Albanian members of ASILA also speculates that the raid on ASILA activists is because “Maryam Rajavi has panicked because every week an Iranian escape from the Manez camp.”

“The anti-terrorist police did not find anything illegal in the defectors,” Thanasi wrote in his Facebook account. “The defectors will continue their protests against the Mujahideen sect and the crimes it commits against its members and against Iran.”
MEK defectors who are now active members of ASILA including Hassan Heirani, the head of the association, have several times emphasized that their mission in the association is nor political and neither in hostility against the MEK but they aim to help those who leave the MEK’s Camp Ashraf 3 in order to build their new life outside the group.

Despite all propaganda and obstructions launched by the MEK against former members none of them have been condemned in the Albanian courts yet. This is while the MEK’s agents have been already accused of money laundering, working with drug traffickers and human smugglers.

Narges Beheshti pens letter to the Albania’s Minister of Internal Affairs

Ms. Narges Beheshti, the sister of Mostafa Beheshti, whose residence was searched by the police on Thursday and then he was taken to the police department to answer some questions, wrote a letter to the Minister of Interior of Albania, who is in charge of the police of this country.

Narges Beheshti

Narges Beheshti

The text of the letter is as follows:

Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Albania

Greetings and Regards,
I am Narges Beheshti, the sister of Mostafa Beheshti, who used to be a member of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MEK, MKO) in Albania, but now he is out of their camp and is freely living his normal life in Tirana.
I was informed that on the morning of Thursday, July 14, 2022, based on the 6-page order of the prosecutor, the Albanian police approached the residence of a number of Iranians living in Tirana who were formerly members of the MEK, including my brother Mostafa Beheshti, and inspected their places and belongings. And then the police took them to the police station for questioning. Also, according to the 3-page report of the police, finally: “No illegal items were found in the inspected places, cars and equipment.”

I also learned that the action of the police was based on false information that the MEK provided to the anti-terrorism police. Apparently, this is not the first time that the Albanian police acted based on false information received by the Rajavi Cult.

The fact is that many people inside the camp of the Rajavi Cult want to separate, and the MEK prevents them from leaving with the trick that if they separate, they will have a difficult life ahead of them. Therefore, the conditions of those like my brother who have returned to a free and normal life causes more people to want to leave, and therefore Maryam Rajavi tries to make the life of those separated more difficult.

It is surprising that the Albanian government does not know the true nature of Maryam Rajavi and the MEK after all these years. Such games should no longer deceive anyone and cause the Albanian police to become the toy of an illegal organization (MEK) against a legally registered association (ASILA).

Sincerely Yours,
Narges Beheshti
Tehran, Iran

MEK on the FTO list
Mujahedin Khalq; A proxy force

The Mujahedin-e Khalq on the way back to FTO

The Mojahedin-e Khalq group is a terrorist group that after its formation assassinated 6 American advisors in Tehran during the time of the Shah the puppet of America, and with the victory of the revolution when the people did not vote for them in the elections, they started to take revenge on the people, which in a short period 12 thousand people were butchered in the worst possible way by this terrorist group, that even among the dead, the bodies of many women and children can be seen. At the beginning of the war, the MEK first tried to start a civil war in Iran and assassinated the main officials of the Islamic Revolution, but when they saw that they could not succeed, they joined Saddam to attack their country with the help of Iraqi Baath forces, that many innocent people were killed. After the end of the Iran-Iraq war, this terrorist group carried out the Forough Javidan operation with the cooperation of the Iraqi Baath army on the western borders of Iran, which faced a heavy defeat of its forces against the Iranian army in the Mersad operation and was forced to retreat to their camp in Iraq. After the end of the war, Saddam, who was aware of the bloodthirsty nature of this terrorist group, ordered them to attack Iraqi Kurds, in this operation, 4 thousand Kurdish men and women were killed. They did so many assassinations that the US Department of State put the name of this group on the Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO) in 1997. Continuing to understand the terrorist nature of the MEK, we are with Mr. Daniele Perra, an Italian journalist who provides valuable information about this terrorist group.

MEK on the FTO list

MEK on the FTO list

In your opinion, what is the goal of the opponents of the Islamic Republic of Iran to fully support a terrorist group of the Mujahedin-e Khalq that has almost no credible popular base in its own country? What role exactly does this group play among the opponents of the Iranian government?

The goal is actually pretty clear. MeK is western favorite tool for the destabilization of the Islamic Republic. I will provide you an example. In 2014, the Israeli website of strategy and geopolitics MiDA has published an interesting article with the title “How to Hurt Iran, Even Without Airstrikes”. The author of the article recognized that Iran is Israel’s main adversary in the Middle East region and, in order to hit back Iran for its support of the Palestinian resistance, he says that Israel should exploit terrorists groups and the presence of ethnic and religious minorities inside the Iranian borders to dismantle progressively the country. Furthermore, the article name many groups that can be used for this purpose. Among them there are MeK (in the article it is clearly written that Mossad has financed, trained and armed MeK for killing Iranian officials and nuclear scientists), Jundallah (a group that operates between Iran and Pakistan) and some other kurdish groups. In this contest of low intensity war MeK has a special role because has proved to be quite effective since the Iraq-Iran war with its capacity to operate inside Iranian borders.

Regarding the terrorist background of the MEK group and the group’s attempt to hold an annual gathering in Albania and France, what do you think is the reason for the cooperation of some Western governments with this group?

Western governments dislike Iran for the simple reason that the Islamic Republic represents an alternative to their failing political model based on ultraliberal capitalism, exploitation and annihilation of men. A System that has been able to produce inequalities inside and outside the so called West and, at the same time, to destroy the environment. A system that completely forgets tradition and cancels culture and history in order to eradicate human beings from their roots. The Islamic Revolution has stopped the process of “westernization” of Iran. That is the reason why the West dislikes Iran nowadays. That is the reason why the West supports this kind of terrorists groups. They want a government in Tehran that follows orders. They cannot bear the fact that Iran is still a sovereign country even after 40 years of hybrid war against it.

As you know the MEK invited so many Ex-politicians to their annual gathering, these politicians have no position in their countries and they have no hope to be in a political position in the future, what is the main purpose of these figures attending the ceremonies of a terrorist group?

I do not actually agree about the fact that these politicians have no hope to be in a political position in the future. For instance, there is a huge possibility that the former Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Giulio Terzi (probably the greatest supporter of MeK in Italy) will have a position in the italian government after the election in 2023. In fact, he is in a very good relationship with right wing Party Fratelli d’Italia which seems to be the favorite by the polls. The leader of this party, Giorgia Meloni, not surprisingly, is linked with the Spanish far right Party Vox which was involved in a scandal about receiving money from MeK. The former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has recently met Maryam Rajavi in Albania. Even in this case, Pompeo has the possibility to take part in the primary elections to become the Republican candidate for the White House, or maybe to become again member of another Trump’s administration after 2024 presidential elections. Furthermore we should not underestimate the fact that Trump’s administration was very close to MeK as well. For example, Trump’s lawyer Rudolph Giuliani is a close friend of the terrorist organization.

A few months ago, the group of MEK organized a virtual anti-Iranian conference with the invitation of several members of the Italian parliament to spread hatred against Iran. What do you think are the reasons for the cooperation of these Italian politicians with this terrorist group?

You must consider the fact that Italian politicians are not independent. They have owners (foreign countries such as USA, UK, Israel and so on, or some multinational corporations). If they do not have owners they look for them in order to have guaranteed incomes. Italian politics is the triumph of immorality. In this regard, taking part in this kind of events it helps them to show themselves, to show that they are ready to be bought from the transatlantic élite or, for the ones that already have owners, to show them that they are following the orders.

One of the main slogans of the terrorist group of MEK is “Free and Democratic Iran”. In your opinion, what does this slogan have to do with the nature of this group and the way its leaders treat their members?

It sounds quite ridiculous because we know that this group nowadays works more like a pseudo-religious cult. There is no democracy at all in it. Pompeo, during his visit, even called Rajavi as “elected president of Iran”. Even more ridiculous, but it is at same time quite scary. So, we should ask another question. Is the West willing to ignore the involvement of MeK in drug and human trafficking, and even the killing of American soldiers in the first years of the Iraq war, in order to reach its geopolitical goals? The answer is yes since it has done it before, for example in Kosovo with the UCK.

As an Italian journalist, have you ever witnessed Maryam Rajavi attend a debate or challenging discussion? In your opinion, what is the reason for Maryam Rajavi to be afraid and avoid confronting challenging questions about the group of MEK?

Honestly I have not. But, if we are talking about western media, we have to take into consideration another thing. There is no risk for Maryan Rajavi to be questioned about the activities of MeK since this is not in the agenda of the western media, which are not independent again. We can apply for western journalists the same thing that we said before about western politicians. They have owners or they look for owners. Let’s keep into consideration that many of them have been trained by organizations well linked with American intelligence such as Stratfor Enterprise (the so called “Shadow CIA”). As long as MeK will keep working as a western proxy inside and outside Iran, its role in criminal and terrorist activities will never be questioned by the main media groups in the West.

Every year, the MEK name the year “Sin” which means to overthrow, but now, 40 years after the revolution Iran is standing stronger, after these many years and having lost so many members by death and separation what justification do the leaders of MEK have for their old members?

Well, the main justification can be the fact that nowadays MeK, after the removal from the list of terrorist groups, has been able to create links, penetrate the western political structure and make lobbying inside of it. Let’s be clear, MeK has no possibility to overthrow the Islamic Republic, or to govern Iran in the near future as Pompeo kind of predicted. However, it can still play the role that western intelligence agencies gave to it. Plus, as long as Rajavi receives funds from the West she can still buy some obedience.

Since the MEK has once again shown their true face and publicly propagated their armed policy, such as the Birmingham voting incident, the fifth founders, etc., would the Western countries take action to put them again on the terrorist list?

I do not think so. At the moment MeK is still an important asset especially for Israel and USA. But we never know. The West, and especially USA, has a long tradition in betraying its allies. In fact, Henry Kissinger used to say that America does not have allies but only interests. So, in the future, when MeK will not be anymore useful for the geopolitical interests of the West, probably, it will be put again in that list.

Farhad Rabiei
Mujahedin Khalq Organization members' families

Son of the MEK hostage seeks for help from the Albania gov.

Farhad was two years old when his father went to Iran-Iraq war. This was the beginning of a prolonged separation. He was sixteen when he heard his father’s voice on the phone, for the first time. He called from Germany, his voice sounded terrified and he thought that Farhad was living in a devastated Iran in which there were no schools. His father did not believe Farhad telling him that he was in grade one in high school.
The short phone call, at least, let Farhad and his family know that his father was alive. Barat, Farhad’s father was taken as a war prisoner by the forces of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization . As Barat later told his mother in a shadowy visit in Turkey he had been intimidated to stay in the MEK. The mother (Farhad’s grandmother) gave a photo of Farhad to his father. since then they have had no contact.

Today, in the fourth decade of his life, Farhad is still looking forward to the release of his father from the Mujahedin Khalq.

He asks the Albanian authorities to facilitate their travel to Albania and help him meet his father even for a few hours.

Beheshti Mostafa
Former members of the MEK

Mostafa Beheshti declared defection from the MEK

Mostafa (Milad) Beheshti announced his separation from the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK). Mostafa Beheshti born in 1983 was recruited by the MEK agents in Turkey in 2001 when he was only eighteen years old. He was actually supposed to join his brother in Turkey but MEK recruiters smuggled him to Iraq.

Beheshti Mostafa

Mostafa Beheshti

“In Baghdad, I was taken to the MEK’s base where a woman named Parvin (Zohreh Shafai) talked to me telling me that I would be taken to Camp Ashraf before being sent to Europe,” Mostafa writes in the letter to announce his complete defection from the MEK. He was promised for a good life in Europe the same as many other young members of the group.

Zohreh Shafai the MEK commander promised Mostafa that he would visit his brother Morteza in the MEK. The two brothers visited each other after 20 days. “My brother asked me why I was there,” he writes. “I told him that I was waiting for him to get his documents for taking refuge in Europe. My brother did not say anything. He just looked down and kept silent. He looked so sad.”

In the MEK, Mostafa and Morteza were not allowed to contact their families in Iran. Their family especially their sister Narges used to travel to Iraq picketing in front of the gates of Camp Ashraf and then Camp Liberty calling on their names.

About MEK’s hostility towards families, Mostafa Beheshti writes, “During the years I was in the MEK, in Iraq, my family came behind the fences around Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty but they were never allowed to meet me and each time I had to take position against my family, sighing the scripts the commanders had prepared for me.”

Beheshti

Narges Beheshti behind the fences of Camp Ashraf

Morteza left the MEK in March 2021 although he had dissociated himself from the regulations ruling the MEK cult, one and a half years earlier. He insisted on his decision to leave the group and finally he succeeded to leave the group’s Camp Ashraf 3, in Albania. “I repeated my demand to leave the group several times, I insisted and endured too many difficulties to stay determined to defect the MEK,” he asserts.

After leaving the MEK headquarter, Mostafa had to get back to them every month in order to receive some money. The MEK commanders wanted him to spy on other defectors of the group in Albania in exchange for the money. “Each time they put a paper in front of me and asked me to sign what they had written,” he writes.

Mostafa is free now. He has joined the independent defectors of the MEK living in Tirana. “Although I suffered a painful life in the MEK for many years, I will build my life with the help and empathy from my family and friends,” he writes. “That nightmare has finished,”

Mostafa’s older brother Morteza Beheshti, was killed in the clashes between Iraqi forces and the MEK’s rank and file, in April 2011. At the time, Massoud Rajavi had ordered the unarmed members of his cult to make a human shield before Iraqi armed forces who wanted to settle a station in Camp Ashraf

Heirani and Alizadeh
Former members of the MEK

ASILA optimistic about more escapes from Camp Ashraf 3

The establishment of the Association to Support the Iranians Living in Albania (ASILA) was an opening to the path families of members of the Mujahedin-e Khalq have been going through during the two past decades. ASILA is a shelter for defectors of the MEK to stay safe against the threats created by the group. The association’s executive director Hassan Heirani is the key Iranian member of ASILA who is actively working for ASILA’s mission.

Heirani and Alizadeh

Hassan Heirani interviewd by Alizadeh

Heirani was recently interviewed by another former member of the MEK living in Iran, Bakhshali Alizadeh. Alizadeh, a member of Nejat Society Tehran office, sked him about the recent conditions ruling MEK’s hostages in Camp Ashraf 3, Albania. Heirani said:
“An MEK hostage, named Mahmoud Dehghani has recently succeeded to escape Camp Ashraf 3. The MEK-run media has not published the news on his escape yet. Mahmoud Dehghani is free now. Immediately after he fled the group, we informed the Albanian Police and the International bodies about his defection from the MEK. The Albanian Police has told the MEK that Mahmoud Dehghani has decided to leave the group by his free will and so they cannot hand him back to the group. This was a crucial point for the MEK. We also realized that the Albanian Police is not supporting the MEK anymore. Thus, we got hopeful that more hostages will find the chance to escape the MEK.”

Bakhshali Alizadeh asked Heirani about life conditions of the MEK defectors who are members of ASILA right now. “All of our friends have jobs earning their own income expect for two of them who are too old to work,” he answered. “They may face difficulties to make a living but they enjoy their freedom unlike when they were in the MEK that were not able even to choose the color of their socks.”

Asked about the part that families can play to aid ASILA reach its goals, Heirani said:
“ASILA is like a tree that its branches grow in Albania but its roots are among families in Iran, those who are expecting the release of their loved ones in the MEK. Families and their support are our main resources. The actions they take wipe out all the propaganda and disinformation that the MEK launches. The MEK cult did not want the Albanian authorities to understand that it does not allow members to contact their families but letters and video messages sent by families have warned the Albanian government about the fraudulent and undemocratic approach of the MEK.”

Heirani assured families that all video messages and letters sent by families are translated to Albanian language and referred to the authorities of the country. “Families should keep on the good work by sending their messages,” he said. “We get more confident and keep on going forward every single day.”

Reza Nasri
Mujahedin Khalq Organization as a terrorist group

The MEK should be blacklisted again

“The main reason for de-listing the MEK from British, EU & U.S. terrorist lists (FTO) was the organization’s public claim – and subsequent legal guarantee – that they had renounced violence since 2001 and would continue to do so,” Reza Nasri, an international lawyer and legal expert, wrote on Twitter on Saturday.

However, a minor explosion in a southeastern Tehran in the Malek Ashtar Basij headquarters on Saturday night, resulted in minor infrastructure damage. In a statement, the MKO claimed responsibility for the explosion.

In their statement issued on the same night, the terrorist group claimed the attack was carried out by “revolutionary cells”.

Reza Nasri

Reza Nasri

“In light of this recent development, the UK, EU and U.S. – along with Canada – should seriously consider revising their past decision and designate MEK again as a terrorist organization,” Nasri continued in his thread of tweets.

According to the legal expert, aside from doing justice to the thousands of Iranian, Iraqi and Kurdish victims that were killed or maimed by this brutal cult over the years, designating MEK again would be viewed as a good-faith gesture that will have a positive impact on the ongoing JCPOA negotiations.

“This is the Western countries’ opportunity to show good-faith, break the negotiations’ deadlock and set the ground for a sustainable and long-term cooperation with Iran. Don’t miss it!” Nasri noted, advising the Americans.

Mohammad Rajavi alias Mostafa
The cult of Rajavi

The MEK lost the appeal court against the son of Massoud Rajavi

Yesterday, on July 3rd 2022, Mohammad Rajavi, son the leader of the Mujahedin-e Khalq published a post in his Facebook account on his victory in the trial the MEK agents had set up against him.
Mohammad, former child soldier of the MEK is the son of Massoud Rajavi and Ashraf Rabiee. He left the MEK after the group was relocated in Albania. He moved to Norway where he built up a new life independent from the MEK and its cause. This led to judiciary adventures that the MEK created for him.

Mohammad Rajavi did not obey the MEK’s demands to condemn critics of the group such as Iraj Mesdaghi. Thus, he was sued by his employer who is a former Norwegian politician and a paid activist for the MEK. Mohammad who had previously spoke out about the fraudulent tactics of the MEK against its former members, published his recent comment a few months after he won the appeal court against his employer in March.

Mohammad Rajavi alias Mostafa

Mohammad Rajavi alias Mostafa

“According to the court judgment, the employer and his masters in the Mujahedin organization once more suffered severe failure, much harder than what they lost in the district court,” the son of Massoud Rajavi writes. “The appeal court not only confirmed the verdict of the district court but also the employer was sentenced to pay a much heftier amount of money as penalty.”

The significant point in this lawsuit, is the heavy expenses that the MEK spent to hire attorneys, witnesses and lobbyists. This was seemingly considered by the MEK as an important lawsuit on the international level. “The MEK mobilized all its campaign to defeat me in the court of appeal at any cost,” he asserts. “To inform you on the hysteric campaign the MEK launched against me, I just let you know that the expenses for the lawyers that the MEK hired mounted to 200 thousand euros!”

Heavy sums were also paid to forge reports against Mohammad Rajavi. He estimated that the costs of forging the fake documents might have been mounted to 50 thousand euros. Moreover, the MEK intended to send five of his notorious commanders and two of his well-paid lobbyists to testify against Mohammad in the court but the Norwegian judge find it unnecessary and irrelevant. “The court heard the testimonies of only two of them, farzin Hashemi and Robert Torricelli,” Mohammad writes.

According to Mohammad Rajavi, the entire sum the MEK spent on his court case including the bribes they paid the Norwegian employer and former US senator Robert Torricelli mounts to half a million euros. The lavish campaign that the MEK launched to defeat the son of Massoud was even bizarre to the chief judge. “One of the topics pointed out by the chief judge of the appeal court was that why the MEK was so much involved in this lawsuit between the employer and the employee,” Mohammad states.

To answer the crucial question, he writes that this court case was a matter of honor for the MEK leaders, particularly after former child soldiers of the group began to reveal facts on the human right violations taken place inside the MEK camps. The revelations of numerous former child soldiers of the MEK were made following the publication of an article based on the life experience of Amin Golmaryami in the German magazine De Seit. Amin Golmaryami and the journalist Louisa Hommerich were eventually sued by the MEK but the MEK slot that court too.

Mohammad Rajavi was among those former child soldiers of the MEK who spoke out against his father’s cult of personality in Club House.
