A group of family members of Camp Ashraf residents, at Nejat Society office in Ahwaz, attended a gathering held by NejatNGO on Friday May 8th,2009. They issued a statement addressing Mr. Nouri Al Maliki, Iraqi Prime Minister,

The Honorable Prime Minister,
As families of MKO members, we have been deprived of visiting our beloved children who have been taken as hostages in Camp Ashraf for years. We use the opportunity to ask your Excellency to provide us with a situation that we would be able to visit our captured children who are barred by MKO which violates all international human rights conventions.

The anti-democratic cult of Rajavi, with its inhuman nature is known to you and Iraqi nation since it has committed crimes against the innocent Iraqi people in Northern and Southern Iraq under the rule of Saddam Hussein dictatorship. During the past years, MKO leaders have always prevented us from visiting our children and our efforts have not succeeded yet.

1. We present our request to your Excellency appreciating the position Iraqi government has taken against MKO and its efforts to expel MKO terrorist group out of Iraq.
Our request is based on the followings:

2. We want to visit our captured children as soon as possible in order to learn about their health conditions.
Regarding that Iraqi government is now holding the control over Camp Ashraf, we ask you to facilitate our trip to Iraq and our visit with our children.

3. We ask the Iraqi Government and Red Cross to help us make phone or letter communications with our captured beloveds.

4. We ask the Iraqi government to arrange a facility outside Camp Ashraf so that we can visit our children without the presence and supervision of MKO officials and far from fear and chantage.

Missions of Nejat Society

Families of MKO members meeting in Ahwaz

On Friday, 8th May families of MKO members held a meeting in Ahwaz at Aftab Hall.

The meeting was held with the presence of more than 50 families of MKO captives who are banned behind the bars of Rajavis’ cult and also some of the separated members.

After presenting the schedule of the meeting Mr. Hamid Dehdar Hassani ; head of Nejat Society office – Khuzestan Branch gave a report on Nejat Society’s activities during the last year and also on incoming programs of the Society .

Mr. Ekrami member of Nejat Society then addressed the audiences under the title of “Active relations between families and Society, guaranties the release of hostages of MKO”.
Mr. Maziyar Shirvani the former member of MKO who recently managed to release himself from the cult and joined his family explained aspects of the atmosphere rules the cult of Rajavi and the role of Nejat Society in releasing the captive members of Mujahedin.

During the meeting books as well as articles and interviews of MKO former members presented to the participants.

Also during the meeting 17 families of captives of MKO, signed a letter of request to meet their beloveds. The letter was to be sent to ICRI.

At the end the statement to Mr. Nuri Al Maliki was read and signed by the participants of the meeting.

The meeting was ended at 12:30 PM.

On Friday, 8th May families of MKO members held a meeting in Ahwaz at Aftab Hall.

Letter of Nuri Family to ICRI

The honorable representative of ICRI in Tehran,

This letter is to inform you that Hamid Reza Nouri, soldier of Division No.64 was captured by forces of Mujahedin –e- Khalq Organization in the fronts of Iran – Iraq was in Haj Omran operational region in 1986 when only a few days of his serving period was left.

The above-named was married and had a baby girl. After several years of lack of information on his fate, in 2000, we were informed that he was in MKO’s Camp Ashraf, Iraq. In September 2002, his brother and daughter went to visit him. They succeeded to have a 2-hour visit, under the supervision of MKO forces, persuading him to return to his family but unfortunately due to the strong monitoring of MKO during the visit, it had no outcome.

In a following meeting another brother of him and his father-in-law visited him. Once more they couldn’t talk to each other in a free, honest atmosphere because of the severe security supervision. Therefore, regarding the last time that his brother visited him, we found out that he is severely brainwashed and due to his physical and mental imprisonment in Ashraf he fears to tell the truth. We believe that if the visits take place in another place with total freedom, they will end with positive outcomes.

Sincerely, we ask the honorable representative of ICRC in Tehran to arrange our visits in a place outside Camp Ashraf, far from the supervising eyes of MKO agents.
We hope that it will be a start for the return of our beloved brother to the family.

Mr. Mohammad Zade letter to his brother Maqsud

The respectful family of Mr. Moqsud Mohammad Zadeh, especially his mother has been waiting for him for more than twenty years.

But the unkind leaders of MKO still ignore maternal emotions and think of their own ambitions.
By their close communication with Nejat Society and ICRC the Mohammad Zadeh family has been always looking for a way to release Maqsud from the horrible Rajavi’s gang.

Today his awaiting mother, confined to bed, expects MKO leaders not to prevent his beloved son from returning home.

There is no doubt that the right to deciding for one’s fate is one of the basic human rights which is absolutely considered as one of the most important human rights by the Global Human Rights Statement.

The leaders of the cult of Rajavi must obey the courteous request of Maqsud’s mother and his other family members. The leaders of Rajavi’s gang should no more violate natural and basic rights of their victims.

Jaafar Babaiee nezhad

I just want my father

Mr. Jaafar Babaiee nezhad was a service man when he was captured by MKO group in 1986. He has an only daughter who hasn’t seen her father since she was born. She is now living with her grandfather in the village of Ali Abad. Having missed her parents, she has a lot of problems including lack of the possibility to continue her studies. She always thinks if she lived with her father, she would have a better situation or she would live in a better city to enjoy educational facilities. She says:”For God’s sake, do something to return my father … I just want my father.”

The following is a part of Maryam’s letter to her father:

In the name of God
I just want my father

Father,
How shall I speak to you? I have a lot to tell you but I have no idea how to write.
Father. What a beautiful word is “Father”. When a baby begins to speak saying “Daddy” “Daddy” … how does her father feel?!! I don’t know the answer and father; you are not here to ask you. If you were here, you would not be able to answer my question because you haven’t seen me since I was born.

You were not here in all those years that you could hug and kiss me … you could see my first steps for walking …
You were captive in Ashraf and I was captive in the hands of my fate in my old grandfather’s house where he had to do your duties, without my mother who couldn’t tolerate your absence and left me to look for her own destiny.

Perhaps, when I was a child I was happier but after I was grown up ,I realized that I have mother and father but meanwhile I don’t have them with me. A mother who left her kid ,and a father who is captive in “Ashraf Prison”.

Father, what a cult it is that made you leave your family? What a morality that opposes the most sacred love…

Iraq should Execute Regulations against MKO

The families whose children are taken as hostages in Camp Ashraf, asked the Iraqi government to execute the regulation ruled by the council of ministers, based on taking the responsibility of protection of Camp Ashraf from American forces and paving the way for MKO expulsion.

Nejat Society held a meeting in Mazandaran

Nejat Society‘s Mazandaran office held a gathering on Friday August 22nd, 2008. About 300 families who have a family member in MEK’s camp in Iraq participated in the gathering where they condemned the British government’s decision on the removal of MEK from the list of terrorist organizations and sought the assistance of Iraqi government in order to aid them to visit their beloved ones after over twenty years. The meeting started with the speeches made by Mr. Hussein Nasuri and Mr. Nowrouz tavakoli who have just been saved from MEK cult; describing their memories of the cult, they mentioned how MEK officials prevent the members from visiting or contacting their families and believe deeply that the family is the poison to the organization. The defectors stated that the cult leader has officially declared that “family is the centre of corruption”! The other lecturer at the gathering was Mr. Ebrahim Khodabande who has a twenty–three–year experience of witnessing MKO, addressed the families:” the security contract between Iraq and the US, in which the future of Camp Ashraf in defined, has terrified Rajavi’s Cult which is worried for the defection of the forces due to the transfers made between US and Iraq.” He also added:” the MKO Cult sees the families as its main threat and is sure that if the members could contact their origins and routs, they would leave their organizational identity and would associate with the society and family as a true human being.” As an ex-member who served in the highest ranks of MKO in Europe and Iraq – under Saddam Hussein’s rule- addressed the families:” we should be concerned about the recent decision made by the UK because they paved the way for the instrumental use of your children in a new phase and such an action is considered as the reproduction of terrorism and it will take victims out of your children.” Mr. Sametipur, the responsible for foreign relations of Nejat Society, who has a long experience of living in the MKO in the US or Iraq, was another speaker at the gathering. He gave a report on his recent visits with the Red Cross representatives, British diplomats and parliamentarians and also Swiss and Iraqi parliament members. He distributed some forms among families to fill out to state their petition against Mr. Babak Amin MKO asking for visiting their children. Mrs. Shalchi and Mrs. Malek who have precious experiences of living in MKO and are completely aware of the manipulation techniques used by MKO answered the audience’s questions on various subjects. The sort of questions asked by the families notifies the fact that they are really eager to achieve a mechanism for the rescue of their beloved ones. The gathering was covered by AlAlam TV channel, Press TV and the local mass media of the Province of Mozandaran.

One day symposium of the Nejat Society in Tehran, Monday 28 July 2008

In a one day symposium held on 2008-07-28 by the Nejat Society in Tehran, the members and the associates of the society as well as the families of members of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) captive inside the Ashraf Camp in Iraq gathered from different provinces demanding the free access of the families to their children in Iraq.

Initially in this symposium Mr. Ebrahim Khodabandeh a former member of the international relations department of the MKO in the UK discussed two topics which were the de-proscription the MKO in Britain and the recent resolution passed by the Iraqi governments which indicates that the control of the Ashraf Camp must be handed over to the Iraqi authorities. He pointed out that the families have suffered most from the latest decision made by the British government since the MKO needs to show false victories to its followers to further control their minds and keep them captive for longer periods. Khodabandeh emphasized that if the British government intends to play the role of Saddam Hussein for the MKO, one has to expect more catastrophes to occur which would result to more victims on both sides. He stressed that protesting against the decision made by the British government is quite essential as far as the families are concerned.

About the resolution of the Iraqi government on the MKO based on the Iraqi constitution, Khodabandeh gave some detailed explanations and finally demanded the Iraqi government to ensure that the items of the resolution are fulfilled as soon as the control of Ashraf Camp is handed over to the Iraqi government. He emphasized that the families do not accept any delay for a direct and free visit with their beloved ones when the Iraqi government holds control over Ashraf Camp in Iraq.

Khodabandeh pointed out that when the former regime in Iraq was toppled, there were hops that the families could have free access to their relatives in Iraq. They were disappointed when they released that there are other forces who intend to use the group the same way Saddam Hussein did. He explained that when the MKO is de-listed in Britain the worrying of the families have become doubled and they have the fear that their beloved ones might be used as tools of terror again. He said that the families expect the Iraqi government to end their sufferings and facilitate direct and continuous meetings with the relatives in the Ashraf Camp in Iraq.

Next Mr. Arash Sametipour the international relations secretary of the Nejat Society explained about the recent activities of the Society in connection with the Iraqi government and efforts made to pave the way to let the families visit their beloved ones in Iraq. He then answered the families’ questions in this regard and expressed that the Iraqi government must facilitate the immediate and direct connection of the families in Iran with their relatives in Iraq once they had control over the Ashraf Camp and its inhabitants.

After the session was terminated, the participants moved to outside the British Embassy in Tehran and made a gathering opposite to the main entrance to protest against the decision made by the British government to remove the name of the MKO from the list of terrorist groups in that country.

Families gave slogans such as”there is no good or bad terrorism”,”down with Rajavi”and”free meetings are our just right”and they condemned legitimizing a terrorist cult which in the first hand has mentally captured its own members and followers.

According to Nejat reporter from opposite the British Embassy in Tehran, the participants were carrying banners with writings such as”do not sacrifice our children for state terrorism”and”the Saddam’s terrorists are now employed by the British government”.

The participants also signed a resolution in the form of a letter addressed to the British Prime Minister Mr. Gordon Brown and protested against the decision made by the British government to de-proscribe the group.

The families gathered outside the British Embassy in Tehran emphasized in their letter to the British Prime Minister that they are dreadfully worried about the decision made and its consequences over their captured children in the Ashraf Camp. This resolution was handed over to the British Embassy in Tehran.

Foreign reporters as well as representatives from humanitarian and international organizations were present in this gathering that made talks with some of the 200 families present at the scene.

Families of MKO members gather in front of British Embassy Tehran

Families of members of the terrorist Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) gathered in front of the British Embassy in Tehran on Monday to protest London’s recent decision about the notorious organization. families of MKO members gathering

London has recently removed the terrorist organization from the Britain’s terror list.

The protestors were families of those MKO members who have been kept (mostly unwillingly) in the terrorist cult’s camp some 60 km north of the Iraqi capital city of Baghdad.

The center, called the Ashraf Camp, is a place where the MKO members are brainwashed to get prepared to participate in terrorist operations against civilians targets.

At the end of the gathering, the families read a protest letter addressed to the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown condemning the UK’s decision.

The letter considered as the gathering’s final statement, voiced the families serious concerns about the fate of their relatives and loved ones.

Stressing that London has made the decision for "political" reasons, they urged British premier to "make sure" that the terrorist group "would not use our children in terrorist activities again." "What has happened under Saddam Hussein’s regime must not be repeated again. We require assurances from the British government that our children would not enter terrorist activities one more time." The protesting families stressed that they would find the British government responsible, once their children entered any more terrorist operations.

They also called on Brown to "safeguard meetings between us and our relatives in the Ashraf Camp".

Established in 1960s, the MKO is at the European Union’s list of terrorist organizations subject to an EU-wide assets freeze and has been designated by the US government as a foreign terrorist organization.

Stop taking our beloveds as hostages!

On Sunday March 2nd, a meeting was held by Nejat Society Gilan Branch, in Rasht, where a lot of families of Nejat Society attended to represent their determination to save their beloved ones from camp Ashraf and stop taking them as hostages by MKO Cult. The meeting began with the speeches of Mr. Ebrahim Khodabande, a former political activist of MKO in England. He described the studies made on cults during years, stressing that all the cults have the same nature in brainwashing and psychologically manipulating of the members, forcing them to divorce, separating the children from their parents.

Mr. Arash Sametipour, the former member of MKO’s operational teams mentioned the presence of families in Iraq to visit their children citing the story of a mother who was desirous to visit her son in Camp Ashraf but found him as a robot without any feeling. She became assured that the manipulation system in the organization is very somplicated. She decided to rescue her son by the help of international human right organizations.

Sametipour also introduced Sahar Family Foundation which was recently founded by former MKO members from Canada, England and US, in Baqdad, in order to aid all families whose loved ones are captured in Camp Ashraf.

At the end, Marjan Malek, a former member of MKO military teams addressed the meeting, describing how she could save her two daughters pursuing the case with the help of Holland authorities.

Mr. Fadaiee Kowsari also talked of his trip to Bagdad a few years ago and his determination to link families with their children.

The meeting ended with the appreciations made by families.

MEK family members talked to administrative assistant of Presidential Office in Iraq

On Sunday, February 3rd, 2008, a number of family members and relatives of MEK members residing in Camp Ashraf as a delegate of a large number of such families visited Mr. Nazar Muhammad Saieed, the administrative director of Mr. Jalal Talibani’s office. These individuals, who were hosted warmly by Mr. Saieed, explained their problems for meeting their beloved ones.

During the meeting, the visitors, describing the troubles and obstacles MKO created against those who want to meet their family members in Camp Ashraf, stressed that they are willing to meet them in Bagdad ,out of the organizational atmosphere of MKO, without any intermediate ,for at least three days. The other problem presented in the meeting was that of defectors who left the organization or will leave it in the future. The representatives describing the funny tricks and futile efforts of MKO to represent them as terrorists, asked Iraqi President and government to protect their lives and provide required cooperation in order to help these defectors leave the camp and reach a safe place. They also presented a number of documents proving MKO’s terrorist operations in Iranian cities, violation of members’ human rights, cooperation with Saddam Hussein to oppress Iraqi people and submitted a complaint letter signed by 350 former members of MKO for Iraqi President. In Addition, they submitted a version of Arrest Warrant for Mojgan Parsaee, Sediqeh Husseinie and Abbas Davari, in order to reinforce the execution of the ruling .

They confirmed that their objective is totally to make sure of the condition of their beloved ones that if they are in a healthy physical and mental condition having the free will to choose and act. They also asked that their concerns on the destination of their children who are under the brainwashing and manipulating inspirations and terrorist trainings, would be brought to Iraqi President and state and authorities,

Mr., Nazar Saieed promising to do anything the presidential office is capable of and stressing the terrorist nature of MKO stated that the case is completely related to human rights.

Explaining that MKO’s leadership has also bloody hands of Iraqi people’s blood as well as Iranians, he noted that MKO is one of the problems that former dictator left for our nation. He pointed that Iraqi state and people won’t tolerate the presence of MKO, a foreign terrorist organization.

Finally, the mujahedin’s family members appreciated the hospitality of the director of presidential office.
