The MEK and its affiliated fronts – the NCRI, Maryam Rajavi etc – have gone all out to praise Saudi Arabia for attacking Yemen.
It is not the first time they have praised Saudi Arabia for just about anything at all [an indication of the needy relationship Rajavi has with the country].
Fars News reproduced the MEK praise alongside praise from Israeli media such as the Jerusalem Times, showing they are carbon copies of each other’s’ position.

As the forerunners of armed struggle, the Mujahedin Khalq Organization has always been proud of its violent history. The group’s journals are filled with glorification of violent acts against Iranian authorities and civilians as well as the assassination of American citizens and military advisors before the Iranian revolution in the 1970s.To
ensure its violent strategy the group’s flag is symbolized with sickle and Kalashnikov.
During the history of the MKO, weapon has always been part of the identity of the group. Once the group was harbored by Iraqi former dictator, Saddam Hussein, it was donated large scale weaponry and military vehicles. Since then the group became “Saddam’s Private Army”. It launched several military and spying missions on behalf of the Baath regime.
The life in the MKO camps was disciplined with army regulations. The group members were involved in cleaning their weapons all day long. It can be said they were obsessed with them. All over the camps one could see men and women in army uniforms busy working with military equipments.
After the American invasion of Iraq in 2003, the MKO was disarmed by the US army following an agreement signed between the group and American military. Disarmament of an armed group which its entire strategy was based on arm was a turning point for the collapse of the group.
The MKO members who were left empty handed with no financial and military sponsor began doubting the group’s ideology and its long-life strategy of armed struggle. Process of defection got on the rise while cult-like control over members was also stepped up.
Listed as a foreign terrorist organization by the US State Department, in 1997, the MKO was not free enough to launch its propaganda campaign in the US government. It spent large amounts of money to get its name removed from the FTO list. A long list of American Congressmen and former high profiles were offered bribe by the MKO’s propaganda apparatus to pressure the State Department to delist the group. They based their argument to defend the group on the allegation that the MKO has been disarmed in 2003 and it has not carried out any violent act since then.
The MKO wants to be rearmed again
Finally in September 2012 the MKO multi-million dollar campaign succeeded to delist the group. Now, the next step for the MKO was to buy support of the American authorities to use it against Iranian government. The group’s paid supporters advocated for more sanctions against Islamic Republic and obstructed the nuclear negotiations going between the US and Iran. The new tactic was not so successful since President Obama promised to veto any new sanction bill passed by the Congress.
So, the MKO leaders cried a ludicrous proposal: Give our weapons back! The new demand of the MKO was first uttered by a unanimous spokesperson of the group in Norway and it then became a part of the group’s propaganda.
A few weeks ago, in the propaganda show held by the MKO to honor 36th anniversary of antimonarchy revolution in Iran“, the group’s leader Maryam Rajavi said, “The US must provide and guarantee the protection of Camp Liberty or at least, as 4000 parliamentarians have declared, return some of the Mujahedin’s personal weaponry, which they need for their protection against the Revolutionary Guards Quds Force and their affiliated militias.”
Besides, the MKO’s European friends like Alejo Vidal-Quadras, the president of a so-called Non-Governmental organization affiliated to the MKO told : ‘’The residents of Camp Liberty and Camp Ashraf have right to self-defense.”
Deep Contradiction between words and action
While Maryam Rajavi tells a German newspaper,” Our objective can be summed up in three words: freedom, democracy and equality”, how can she order the West to give their weapons back?
Such contradictory ideas can be only originated from a mixed hypocritical ideology that shifts from time to time. The analyst of the American Conservative, Daniel Larison may suggest the best description of the MKO Cult:
“The MEK is neither moderate nor democratic, and it seeks only the aggrandizement of its leaders. The group is understandably distrusted and loathed by most Iranians for its past record of hostilities against Iran, and it doesn’t speak for any of the legitimate opposition to Iran’s regime. Anyone advocating for Western support of this organization and its allies is not helping anyone inside Iran. All that MEK boosterim does is to try to whitewash a monstrous group that has killed both Americans and Iranians.”
By the way, is it rational to ask to rearm a recently disarmed group with a longtime background of violent acts? People should ponder and use their wisdom in facing this question.

Australia’s best-selling newspaper, The Australian has published a report saying the Sydney cafe attacker Man Haron Monis was “linked” to the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK, a.k.a MKO).
The report adds that the revelation is contained in documents from an Iranian associate’s refugee claim in 2003, which collapsed after Monis refused to divulge significant details about his own past and then suddenly vanished.
“According to Refugee Review Tribunal documents obtained under Freedom of Information laws, Monis’s associate claimed he would face death if he were deported to Iran because of his close relationship with Monis, whom he believed had tried to abolish the Iranian regime.
The report continues that the asylum-seeker, whose name is not released, cited ¬reports Monis was affiliated with MKO.
“MKO members assassinated three US army officers and three American civilians in Iran in the 1970s, and were involved in the overthrow of the Shah in 1979,” the report adds. “In 1981, after falling out with the ruling Islamic Republican Party, the MKO bombed its Tehran headquarters killing 71 people. The US listed the MKO as a terrorist organisation in 1997, but it was delisted in 2012.”
The report goes on to say that the documents indicate the asylum-seeker and Monis “were friends in Iran in the 1990s and were reunited in Australia.”
The report concludes that Monis was contributing to preparing “the asylum-seeker’s application”, attending his refugee interview with the Immigration Department’s delegate in about 2003. But when the delegate asked him whether information relevant to his case could be disclosed to the applicant, Monis asked the delegate not to reveal a very significant aspect of his own claims to the applicant, and then he simply disappeared.

Like Mansoureh Karami, whose husband Massoud AliMohammadi was the first Iranian nuclear scientist to be assassinated in Tehran. Today, the world’s attention is on the violence and terrorism of ISIL in Syria and Iraq. A statement read on behalf of Iraqi Assyrians, warned that the entire population risks being wiped out of the Nineveh province. NGOs warn of a catastrophe, where the story of the victims are lost. The stories heard here will sadly not be the last – but they hope by sharing their experiences they can somehow help.

The propaganda arm of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization held the alleged Paris Conference on “Middle East in Crisis Threats and Solutions”! The self-claimed president of the MKO, Maryam Rajavi gave herself credit to 
advise Western Politicians about “the situation in the entire Middle East and the policies of Europe and the U.S.”!
This is not the first time that the cult of Rajavi endeavors to show off. Their so-called grand gathering this year was another effort by the cult to get itself recognized in the regional relations despite reports on its cooperation with forces of Islamic State terrorist extremists.
In her speech Maryam Rajavi “stressed that the terrorism that has engulfed the Middle East today is the outcome of inaction by the West in face of tyrants, especially the Iranian regime” but she failed to notice that her cult-like group is part of the terrorism that has engulfed the Middle East.
As a matter of fact, the atrocities of terrorists of the Islamic State in Iraq ring the alarms for the West. For example French Foreign Ministry has recently condemned the MKO for its violent, nondemocratic activities. Because of long-time MKO’s presence in France, the government might be one of the most exposed Western countries to the threat of the cult of Rajavi. The French warning came immediately after the MKO held its so-called annual grand gathering where the group leader praised the “uprising” of what it called ”Iraqi revolutionaries”.
Dr. Webster Griffin Tarpley told Press TV, “The reason why the French might be doing this now I would think has something to do with ISIS and the events in Syria and Iraq. When you see a group like ISIS which is similar in many ways to the terrorists of the MEK, obviously there is a feeling in the MEK I would guess that they have got to get involved, that they have got to contribute, they have got to make themselves heard or they are not going to get the funding that they are accustomed to getting. So, they have got to do something perhaps not against Syria but primarily against Iran which is their specialty.” []
This is Dr. Griffin’s account of the MKO: “It’s of course extremely dangerous and the thing that the French point to, I think it shows the insidious methods that MEK has. It’s a very sinister group but here is what they are expert in. They buy officials, they essentially bribed them. I guess most people would say the formula they took here in the US was they would hold conferences and they would offer speaking fees to a lot of very important intelligence community type officials and these speaking fees were astronomical. Of course, the money was coming from the US taxpayer. It was a way to recycle US taxpayer money into the pockets of some of these corrupt officials.”[]
The paid American politicians may not know that Iranians loathe the MKO and the violent substance of the MKO under the leadership of the Rajavis could be a potential ISIS under Abubakr Al Baghdadi. They seem to think it is more admirable to speak on behalf of a formerly terrorist designated group when it is motivated by a desire to help them overthrow the Islamic Republic but they do not seem to ponder the threat the region is faced by the side of cult-like terrorist groups.
US presidential candidate Mitt Romney was one of those MKO-paid speakers who confessed that he had no information on the true nature of the Cult of Rajavi. Ralph Forbes of the American Free Press Newspaper wrote in January 2012,” GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney looked like a deer caught in the headlights when he was asked if he supported an international, anti-American terrorist organization with a bloody record for killing innocent civilians thousands of times worse than al Qaeda.” Forbes ironically notices,”This “expert on international affairs” claimed he never had heard of them.” []
The MKO has always been part of Iraqi crisis. It was Saddam’s Private Army in massacring the Shiits and Kurds Uprisings in 1991. Maryam Rajavi’s famous quote approves the group’s outrages against Iraqi civilians: “Take the Kurds under your tanks. Save your bullets for Iranian soldiers.”
Besides, the group’s propaganda campaign has been very active in influencing Iraqi political relations. They try to buy the support of Sunni tribal leaders and politicians. They also try to bribe them in order to target the publically elected Shite officials.
Today, the MKO makes its utmost effort to cause more crisis in Iraq only because it has no other way to maintain its cult structure. More chaos in the region helps the group leaders to buy more time to distract the attention of the international community towards their abusive attitude against their own members and to prolong the survival of Rajavi’s cult of personality in Iraq, not so far from the Iranian border.
The international community should beware of the risk of ignoring the threat of such destructive groups in the region otherwise another Islamic State would emerge under another Abubakr Al Baghdadi. It would be no surprise if the name of the new extremist leader would be Maryam Rajavi.

“After you arrive in Tehran, you can do anything you like for 48 hours, kill anyone you like until I come to grant public amnesty.” Massoud Rajavi told MKO members while addressing them before the so called Eternal Light Operation; recalls Hadi Shabani who was present at the meeting. [1]
The Mujahedin Khalq launched "Eternal Light," against Iran in the immediate aftermath of Iran’s acceptance of the U.N.-brokered cease fire agreement on July 18, 1988.
Massoud Rajavi falsely analyzed the ceasefire as notifying the weakness of Iranian forces. So as the group leader tried to make advantages of the so called opportunity disregarding the disastrous outcome it may impose.
Rajavi dispatched its mostly untrained, inexperienced forces to the 4-day long operation.
The operation had no result but a total failure with more than 1300 MKO members being killed; many of whom just had been arrived from European countries to reach the operation with no or least military training under the order of Massoud Rajavi.
Massoud Banisadr ; MKO former member who was an active member of the group for twenty years and served as the organization’s representative to the United Nations and to the United States recalls:
“It was very horrible. There were 15 students who were from the United States, they were supporters. They were brought to Iraq and in the same night they were moved to the battle field. Because of my political rank I was a commander even though I had no military background. Only a few days before for the first time I saw a machine gun, and I only shot it once. .. Unfortunately I learned all 15 died because they didn’t have any training…”[2]
Actually it was not the only occasion the MKO Cult leaders who see the members’ lives just as a tool towards their cause, victimized the members in vain.
Their futile resist against transferring members from Camp Ashraf which caused several tragic events and led to the death of dozens of members as well as their reluctance to cooperate in moving Liberty residents who are living in limbo in terrorism dominated Iraq without clear future – – to third countries are just examples of the Cult leaders ignoring the members’ most basic rights to live in safe places.
The Mujahedin Khalq Organization either haven’t hesitate victimizing their own countrymen as they terrorized more than 12ooo Iranians ; during their so called struggle to bring the same people democracy! And now hand in hand with the enemies of the Iranian nation promote sanctions and war against Iran, the true targets of which are the ordinary people rather than the government.
So with regard to a cult-like group with no sympathy towards its countrymen or even its own members it is not weird to see them turning a blind eye to the genocide taking place in Gaza by its new lord, Israel.

Iranian- Community in Canada, is an influential & highly educated, we have among several hundred professional such as: Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers and UNIVERSITY scholars. In addition we have one of the top ranking students in universities across Canada. Also, many of Canadian Iranians are working in different fields, within the Canadian government offices, they run private enterprises and other successful businesses such as investors & builders. In our humble opinion, Mr. Moridi is SOMEHOW confused with Liberal party guidelines…. He is emphasizing on sanction on Iran in alignment with Prime Minister Harper and Minister Baird, which is SERIOUSLY hurting only the Iranian people, not the government of Iran.
This has damaged and is continuing to negatively affect Iranian - Canadian Community FINANCES in Canada. Majority of Iranian community is not supporting these sanctions. Is it really a provincial Member of Parliament responsibility to act as slow federal Member of Parliament?????
MMP Moridi knowingly or unknowingly, has supported an infamous ex terrorist group in Iran (Mojahedin Khalq) MEK and their lobbyist in Canada which have kept a few young Canadians in Camp Ashraf against their Will. MEK is MEK is promoting hate and violence in Iraq and Iran which is totally against Canadian values and principles…
MPP Moridi also supported the closure of Iranian consulate in Ottawa, which has caused a tremendous amount of inconvenience for all Canadian-Iranians in our country Canada. He is simply following the Conservative Party mandates. Supporting sanction and war, this is against the Liberal party’s policy and philosophy. French Parliamentary Delegation to Have No Unscheduled Programs in Iran
Head of the French parliamentary delegation that is on a visit to Tehran said they will not have any impromptu meetings during their stay in Iran.
Speaking to the Tasnim News Agency, Senator Philippe Marini said the delegation’s itinerary will be limited to the programs arranged by the Iranian parliament and the French embassy in Tehran.
This comes after EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton’s secret meetings with a number of Iranians in March drew criticism from Iranian officials.
During her official visit to Iran in March, Ashton had a meeting at the Austrian embassy in Tehran with some individuals convicted of having a hand in the 2009 post-election events.
Senator Philippe Marini further said he and his colleagues have come to Iran for high-level talks with Iranian officials.
“This is a very important period for ties between Iran and France,” he said, expressing hope for a major boost in the two countries’ relations in 2014.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Marini rejected reports about a member of the delegation, Senator Philippe Dallier’s support for the terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO), saying that Dallier had unwittingly attended an MKO meeting in Paris.
“I suppose Dallier fell in MKO trap like many others,” he said, adding “we are well aware … how unpopular this group can be in Iran.”
On his participation in an MKO gathering in France a long time ago, Senator Dallier told Tasnim that he had no idea it was a rally staged by the terrorist group.
He said he once was invited to a rally in his constituency, a city near Paris, along with some other elected officials.
“All of a sudden, I realized I am sitting next to individuals from other countries. Actually, that day I went there, a general gathering, without any specific plans… At the end of the program I left and have had no contacts with the group ever since,” he said.
The MKO — listed as a terrorist organization by much of the international community — fled Iran in 1986 for Iraq, fought on the side of Saddam Hussein during the Iraqi imposed war on Iran (1980-88), and was given a camp by Saddam.
The group has been behind numerous acts of terror against Iranian civilians and officials, and was involved in the 1991 bloody repression of Shiite Muslims in southern Iraq, and the massacre of Iraqi Kurds in the country’s north.
The Mojahedin Khalq is to hold a meeting on the afternoon of Saturday 12 April in Paris. The event is being held under the banner of a concocted organisation called ‘Iranian Youth of Europe and America’, 
which has not been heard of before and will, no doubt, never be heard of again. MEK operatives have been active in recruiting attendees. The MEK is facing a critical situation; the forces (hostages) inside Camp Liberty are becoming harder to control, and the camp itself is under pressure from the international community to close. The MEK is at a dead end and its supporters in western countries are becoming more vocal and more critical of what the MEK strategy is and why no progress is being made. In typical MEK style this event in Paris will masquerade as activity and progress, thereby keeping these supporters charged and happy – basically ‘on message’. Some weeks ago the MEK held a similar event gathering 300 ‘supporter associations’ in Paris to listen to a panel of non-Iranian paid speakers.
There is no purpose to this meeting except to buy time through false activity. Similarly the MEK held pickets and a hunger strike last Autumn, which pushed the hostages in Camp Liberty to the limit of hunger. Similarly the MEK ordered self-immolations in Paris in 2003 when Maryam Rajavi was arrested by French anti-terrorism police.
Experts have identified this meeting as a recruitment drive to attract new people and re-charge existing supporters for a fresh programme of violence in Europe and elsewhere. Massoud Rajavi has been tasked by his backers to use the MEK in whatever way possible to prevent or hinder rapprochement between Iran and the West. While it is under the protection of the West, the MEK will not recruit for this purpose under its own name because it does not want to be held responsible for any ensuing violence. However, anyone recruited on Saturday under the banner of ‘Iranian Youth of Europe and America’ will go on to be charged-up (ie brainwashed) to commit acts of violence or hunger strikes, etc. Interestingly, none of the higher ranks will ever be involved in suffering of any description, not hunger strikes, self-immolation or imprisonment. For this reason a warning must be given to Iranians and the international community that the MEK is preparing the ground for violence and disruption.
The relocation of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization from Iraqi has been a problematic issue from the very start phase. Although the process started near a year ago it has been rather slowly and it has faced different frustrations whether by the group leaders or by the host countries. Leaders of the MKO seek to relocate the group as a whole body in order to prevent the collapse of the cult-like structure of the group while third countries hesitate to accept a crowd of 3000 militants with a dark background of violent acts and cult-like attitudes.
Albania was the first country in the Southeast Europe that accepted to receive 210 residents of Camp Liberty. The United States welcomed the Government of Albania’s "generous offer". However, the move has not been accomplished yet. [1]
Germany was another European country to accept members of the MKO but it did not agree to accept more than 97 individuals. German authorities ordered to relocate 77 of these people in Koln but the decision was disputed by the officials of the city, according to German newspaper, Kolner Stadt –Anzeiger. [2]
The United States is now planning to move 3000 members of the MKO from Iraq to Romania — again in Balkan region. According to the Romanian Foreign Ministry employees the U.S. State Secretary and the Romanian Foreign Minister discussed the issue of militants’ migration during the meeting in Brussels in early December. This time the US seems to seek to compactly resettle the group members near the city of Craiova. [3]
Ilya Kharlamov of the Voice of Russia believes that by such mass relocation "Washington may turn Romania into a hotbed of tension, which will prove quite a headache both to Romania proper and the neighboring countries." The VOR’s correspondent suggests that the action on the US plan is fraught with danger quoting an expert with the Moscow-based Institute for Strategic Studies and Analysis, Sergei Demidenko: "A transfer of a large group of people, drilled ideologically and militarily, to an unstable European area will clearly add no quiet to the area."[4]
Besides, another Russian expert in Oriental Studies Boris Dolgov considers the US plan as inappropriate. He told VOR," If the Romanian leaders have certain doubts, and they will certainly question the correctness of the decision, then they should stiffly oppose the move." Pointing to terrorist history of the MKO he added, ”The US plan is at variance with the recent trend towards improving relations between Washington and Tehran.” [5]
The author of the VOR article puts the responsibility on the Romanian Government that is free to accept or refuse to persecute the US plan and warns on the risk of the presence of "well-trained fighters" of the MKO in the unstable situation of the neighboring Ukrain.
Anna MIKHAILENKO’s piece on the new US plan to move "the Cult of Rajavi” to Balkan was translated from Russian by the ORIENTAL REVIEW. She also criticized the US for delisting the MKO in 2012 and "trying to move militants from this group out of Iraq and closer to sites that are being readied for future armed hostilities."[6]
"It is obvious that the Mojahedin-e-Khalq is not a peaceful organization" she writes. "In fact, it would be better compared to the Taliban, Al-Qaeda, or Jubhat al-Nusrah, other groups which also enjoyed the tacit support of the United States until they became too unruly." [7]
MIKHAILENKO warns on the threat of "this army of 3,000 militants" at the door of an tensed region. "Harboring so many fighters so close to Ukraine, a country that has been afflicted with EuroMaidan fever for the past month and a half, could pave the way for any number of coercive scenarios for regime change", she suggests. [8]
Is it really worth to maintain the supremacy of a cult like terrorist group by risking the peace in an already-tensioned area? Will Romania buy the danger of receiving "Saddam’s Private Army" the MKO to the cost of appeasing the US?
