MKO Members: Mental captives in the cult of Rajavi
Aawa Association Bloggers
Dear Mr. Zverina!
During a session of the European Parliament in Strassburg on May, 19th 2006 you are reported to have said: „The National Resistance Council (NRC) of Iran is a solution against the islamic fundamentalism in Iran….” Furthermore, you are said to be of the opinion Mrs Rajavi would be the only hope to Iran. We just cannot understand your motives.
As you should know, the armed combat and terrorist activities of this organisation killed many innocent people in the last twenty years. There is numerous evidence for this. The terrorist attacks hampered the peaceful process for freedom and democracy in Iran. Mr. and Mrs. Rajavi are MKO´s religious leaders with reactionary ideology. Members of MKO are forced to divorce from their present partners or are dictated to marry partners having been selected by the leaders. Parents and children are being separated from each other. Within the organisation, there is no freedom of speech or democracy. For religious reasons, men and women are not allowed to give their hands to each other – it might imply sexual desire.
Mr. and Mrs. Rajavi instruct and form the members to propensity of violence (see persons burning themselves to death in 2003 in Paris). The Iranian people do not support the MKO for having collaborated with Iraq´s former dictator Saddam Hussein. Therefore, MKO pursues its campaign by propaganda in Europe and abroad in order to find their way out of isolation.
We should all wonder, how it would be possible for a woman like Maryam Rajavi to ever bring freedom and democracy to Iran?
Attached please find a short documentation of MKO´s previous terrorist activities. We would appreciate if you would ask our news service for more information.
Best regards
30 May 2006
Dear Lord Fraser!
After having met Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the religious leader of the Iranian People´s Mojahedin, a woman that is representing herself as being the elected president of Iran, you are reported in their journal „Mojahed“, No. 803 dating May, 15th 2006, to have said that in your opinion MKO would not be a terrorist organisation and you would be supporting the organisation in their way of bringing the Iranian government to fall.
It is Mrs. Rajavi´s idea to bring down the Iranian government with the help of the Americans, which are to bomb the Iranian country and then give way to the dispatch of ground forces of the National Resistance Army (NRA) from Iraq. This plan is continuously being presented and repeated in the media of the organisation MKO. By means of purposeful propaganda MKO is trying to win supporters for their political goals. For many years Mr. and Mrs. Rajavi have cooperated with the former dictator of Iraq, Saddam Hussein, making numerous attacks with leaving many innocent people dead. She does not even shrink back from using the organisation´s members for her purpose (i. e. people burning themselves to death). Such an organisation that is being listed for several years as terrorist organisation would scarcely be capable to bring democracy and freedom to Iran and the Iranian people.
Judging from your previous statements, for instance in the journal „Scotsmen“, you have appeared to be declaring yourself against war and violence. We would assume that you are not really willing to support a person like Mrs. Rajavi.
Attached please find a short documentation of MKO´s previous terrorist activities. We would appreciate if you would ask our news service for more information. Best regards AAWA Association Cologne, May 30th 2006
Report of Awaa Club’s Research Committee
According to tens of reports received by Awaa Club, and also according to the families of the victims, there are numerous occasions of suppression in the internal relations of the MKO.
Awaa started to study this case two years ago and conducted interviews on disappearance of a number of victims. In this regard, a letter was sent to Iraqi president Mr. Jalal Talabani, asking for his help in the field of investigating this case. Following this case, large number of reports and letters show that the suppression and disappearance of people in the MKO has a long history. Those who disappeared were the victims of suppression policies of MKO leaders.
The victims are tens of members who disappeared inside the MKO. The case was opened 2 years ago in order for the illumination of public opinion and it’s still going on. In this regard, we ask all informed Iranians, former members of MKO, and particularly the families of the victims to help us complete the investigation on this historical disaster by sending news, reports, photos, information and other documents to one of the addresses of Awaa Club.
Below is the first report of our investigations for the families, humanitarian workers and organizations and the media. It should be noted that more information will be published about each victim in the future.

Ali Akbar Rastgoo, Awaa Association, January 6, 2006 The Rt Hon Lord Falconer of Thoroton QC Secretary of State Constitutional Affairs Selborne House 54-60 Victoria Street London SW1E 6QW England
At the meeting on 13th December 2005 held in the British Parliament there was a discussion about “the Mojahedin Khalgh Organization, (an Iranian organization which is settled in Iraq). At the same day a web site called “Iran focus” (that is associated to the “Mojahedin Khalgh Organization”), published allegations stipulating that Lord Tony Clark affirmed that 405 Members of the British Parliament are in support of this group, but no names were mentioned.
In diplomatic relations the names of the supporter must be published to confirm the legitimacy of such allegations, therefore this announcement was counterfeit and supported by substantial evidence. Similar actions from the here above mentioned group happened many times before, for instance the counterfeited letters that were published on behalf of the pervious Member of Parliament “Win Griffith”.
The “Mojahedin Khalgh Organization” was recognized as a terrorist group by the United States of America once again in October 2005. This organization also uses several fictitious names such as: “National Freedom Army”, “Muslim Student Association and National Resistance Organization” to distract the attention of the western world. However, all of the above names were added to the official terrorism list. Your government along with the European Union emphasizes to continue on fighting against terrorism.
Dear Sir
My questions are hereby as followed:
How were your name and your parliament member’s names used for the support of terrorism and why did you not show any reaction to that effect?
Do you support the “Mojahein Khalgh Organization” and their actions?
Do you support the war against the present government of Iran?
Do you agree with forming a Totalitarian government by the name of Islamic Democratic Republic?
I would be greatly appreciative to receive a response letter on your behalf Mr. Lord Falconer
Sincerely,
Ali-Akbar Rastgou
Cologne-Germany
Dear Mr. Tunne Kelam, MEP from Estonia According to Mojahed Journal No. 775 (Nov. 18, 2005), in “Iran’s Nuclear Case Referral to UN Security Council seminar in European Parliament, you had said that National Council of Resistance is the best alternative and that their demonstration, in which you had participated, was very illuminative for you!!
We inform you that Demonstrations under the name of NCRI are in fact organized by the terrorist group of the MKO (Mojahedin-e Khalq organization), which has no popular support for its cooperation with Saddam Hussein and enjoying his financial, logistical and intelligence assistance. You can verify the accuracy of this by referring to diplomatic and independent sources.
Isn’t it better for you to support the whole opposition instead of concentrating your support on the MKO, which believes in violent activities? We believe that supporting the MKO would cause irreparable damage to your political fame.
In and out of Iran, the MKO is known as a religious sect that has ordered its members not to marry in their lives. Isn’t this clearly depriving human beings from their basic rights? So, how this organization claims to be struggling to establish democracy in Iran while it ignores democratic rights of its own members? This sectarian factor sheds doubt on the claims of this group.
In June 2003, Maryam Rajavi, who was hiding in Paris, was arrested by the order of French Interior Minister. She ordered her members to set themselves on fire [to force the government to free her]. More than 10 people set themselves on fire. Aren’t these brutal acts, which remind of Middle Ages, signs of a religious sect that resorts to political pressure in the soil of Europe?
We believe that your support for the NCRI and participating in its demonstration show that you have not enough information on the Iranian opposition. Awaa Club, formed by former member of the MKO, based in Germany, can give you more information about the past of this organization and its future plans.
