Asila has continued with its cultural activities and book fairs, but there has been a lack of commitment and interest in these members who are far from their families in Asila. According to media sources, these citizens have been on hunger strike for 15 days, without food or drink. They demand their right to freedom, as was the reason for coming from Iran to Albania.

They have previously said in the media that they are grateful to the Albanian state and that they love our country and try to contribute here in Albania.

While Asila earlier addressed the institutions for an answer regarding this situation, Hassan Heyrani, Hassan Shahbaz, Mehdi Soleimani, Ali Hajari and Gholam Reza Shekari will spend New Year’s Day in detention. “Asila will continue the cultural activities, but also the pursuit for their right”. This is the word of the Asila team.
