Alireza Amiri defected MKO Cult in Albania and returned to his homeland

After long years of captivity behind the physical and psychological bars of the Mujahedin-e Khalq Cult, Mr. Amiri managed to release himself from the Cult and returned to his family.

Amiri family did their utmost efforts to liberate their beloved son.  Amiri family who are members of Nejat Society West Azarbaijan,Iran branch, wrote several letters to the human rights bodies such as Amnesty International, HRW, etc. They also met the Red Crescent representatives and emphasized on the release of their beloved son; Alireza.

The cult leaders eventually were forced to transfer Alireza to Albania along with some other residents of Camp Liberty.

In Tirana, far from the closed affaires of the MKO Cult, Mr. Alireza Amiri parted away with the group and contacted his family.

Open Letter of the Iranian Pen Club to the Prime Minister of Albania

With most respectful greetings to Mr. Edi Rama Prime Minister of Albania,

Your honor,

With all due respect, we would like to inform you that Iranian Pen club ( Kanon Iran Galam) consists of dissident senior ex-members of PMOI with more than 20 years of history with the PMOI whom are now Human rights activists and pursuing to save the lives of the rest of the members entangled in Camp Liberty in Iraq.

Our goal is to help the other members who have not yet been able to release themselves from the above said Cult to be able to join their family in the free world and start a new life. On this reason, we thank you and the government of Albania for your humanitarian efforts in accepting some of the members of People’s Mojahedin Organization which has removed these people away from the dangers of remaining in Iraq.

We believe that you and your government has demonstrated its commitment to human rights by taking this important step to save to lives of these unfortunate people. Unfortunately, but what we hear from Ex members of Mojahedin in Tirana is somehow disturbing. We hear that Maryam Rajavi is sending her top known agents from Paris and these agents, who are from her ‘Leadership Council’, are now trying to control the lives of the recently arrived people as they did in the Iraqi camps. Also, the Mojahedin Organization has taken advantage of this opportunity and has placed some of its commanders among the ordinary PMOI members who have been sent to Albania, in order to supervise and control them.

Once they arrive in Albania one of the first things all the new arrivals do is to contact their families and seek out other forms of support.

The refugees are given time limited support by the UN refugee agency accommodation and a small living allowance which is deemed sufficient for them to settle in their new country and make new lives for themselves.

And the MEK does not easily relinquish its control over these former members and has made every effort to prevent them from living independently. But more importantly, these new arrivals are desperate to tell their stories. They want to speak out about the suffering they endured, some for many, many years.

In this respect we would like to bring to your respectful attention the International Human’s Right Watch report in 2005. The report titled “‘No Exit’ – Human Rights Abuses inside the Mujahidin Khalq Camps Human Rights Watch, May 2005” reflects extensive violation of the human rights, although it was a drop out of the ocean. The report is based on the direct testimonies of a dozen former MKO members, including five who were turned over to Iraqi security forces and held in Abu Ghraib prison under Saddam Hussein’s government. The report details how dissident members of the shadowy Mujahidin Khalq Organization (MKO) were tortured, beaten and held in solitary confinement for years at military camps in Iraq after they criticized the group’s policies and undemocratic practices, or indicated that they planned to leave the organization. Amongst them Mr. Mohammad Hussein Sobhani a dissident member of the MKO after 20 years of activity in the Organization was jailed for eight years which was later handed over to Saddam Hussein being jailed in Abu Ghorab Prison and experiences severe tortures and psychological and physical mistreatments.

We also would like to point at the reports of Mr. Alibakhsh Afarinandeh which has recently been released from this Mujahidin Cult and published in the Pejwak website. Mr. Afarinandeh explaines his and other dissident members’ imprisonment and tortures in 1994 in great detail.

Mr. Razaghi Open letter to Ambassador Dritan Tola of Albania

Dear Excellency,

I am Mohammad Razaghi. I have been a member of the Mojahedin Khalq (Rajavi cult) for about 20 years, spending the best years of my life in the military camps of Saddam Hussein and Massoud Rajavi under conditions of brainwashing and physical abuse. I can say from first-hand experience that Massoud Rajavi and Maryam Rajavi have created a new version of slavery in the camps which were gifted to them by Saddam Hussain, and have used the enslaved members for purely personal benefit.

We were imprisoned at their hands in their camps. Massoud and Maryam Rajavi were personally responsible for creating the rules and regulations, and these ‘laws’ were implemented by their henchmen against us. Unfortunately now even after the fall of the dictator of Iraq, Saddam, this practice is still ongoing. The enslaved hostages are not allowed to move freely and walk out of the camp (now Camp Liberty). They are not allowed to send or receive mails or emails to and from their families and friends.

The so-called ‘members’ are not allowed to talk about their problems. All they are allowed to say is what has been dictated by the leaders. They are forced to repeat this and not to say anything else.

Inside the cult, men and women are not allowed to have any normal human relationship with each other. On the other hand, private conversations between even two men or two women are forbidden and can be seen as “plotting” by the leaders and hence punishable.

Members have no right to decide for their own future and the leaders choose everything, even things like what they should eat, drink or wear, etc.

Dear Ambassador Tola,

But what we hear from Tirana is somehow disturbing. We hear that Maryam Rajavi is sending her top known agents from Paris and these agents, who are from her ‘Leadership Council’, are now trying to control the lives of the recently arrived people as they did in the Iraqi camps. The pressure on these survivors of Camp Liberty who are now in your country is constant.

The Rajavi cult leaders threaten the newly arrived people and do not let them come out of the camp so they are now still fully under cult control in Albania. People have to ask for permission and with acceptable reasons to get exit visas from the commanders.

Some of the well-known torturers of Saddam’s Private Army (MKO) like Hassan Ezati (aka Nariman) or Mokhtar Janat Sadeghi (aka Mokhtar) or Hooshang Doodkani, have now been sent to Albania. These people are trained by Saddam’s forces and are now using their expertise to make the newly arrived people to submit the leaders’ demands.

The names of some of the people who have lost their lives under torture in the prisons of Saddam and Rajavi at the hands of these henchmen are:

Dear Ambassador Tola,

I am not the only victim of torture carried out on the direct order of Massoud and Maryam Rajavi in Saddam’s camps and at the hands of these torturers who are now stationed in Albania. I am asking you to allow us to attend a court of law in your country to present our claims and allow us to seek justice.

While I was imprisoned on the direct order of Rajavi, I also witnessed the torture and murder of others in these cells. I would like to have the opportunity to provide witness statements about these crimes.

I would also like to warn your government that this cult is certainly capable of ordering its members under the influence of drugs as well as brainwashing to carry out self-immolation or to burn others – as they demonstrated clearly in the streets of European capitals in 2003 where some of them lost their lives and several others were left permanently scarred and disabled.

I would also like to warn you that some of these people now in your county have received high level training in explosives from Saddam’s Republican Guards.

Dear Ambassador Tola,

I believe that the only solution to these threats is not to allow the cult leaders to continue keeping their hold on these people. (At the simplest level they keeping control of them by paying 500 dollars per month in exchange for their cooperation.) Otherwise you will face having a dangerous cult take root in your country.

I would like to say that I and my other friends with similar experiences are ready to give evidence in a court of law.

Albania must protect human rights of Iranian refugees from MEK

Rajavi cult abuse – Albania must protect human rights of Iranian refugees from MEK

Albania’s efforts to improve its human rights and bring them into line with European and international standards could be seriously undermined if it does not take action to curtail the activities of the terrorist Mojahedin Khalq cult organisation in that country. There is strong evidence that the MEK has bought land and property just outside Tirana in order to create a closed cult enclave similar to ones in Iraq, and that it is using coercion to keep refugees captive there where they are subject to systematic human rights abuses outside the supervision of the Albanian authorities.

The MEK is a terrorist organisation. It is being dismantled in Iraq because its presence and its activities there are illegal under Iraq’s constitutional law. UN officials have made high level efforts to persuade third countries to accept these individuals, in particular those with previous connections to those countries. Understandably, most Western countries have been extremely reluctant to allow trained terrorists into their countries even as refugees. Albania has, however, generously accepted to receive some of the Iranians as refugees. Since 2013, over four hundred of these former MEK combatants have been transferred from Camp Liberty in Iraq to Tirana by the UNHCR as refugees.

Unfortunately UN officials responsible for undertaking to transfer the residents of Camp Liberty have been hindered further in their task by the cult nature of the group. The MEK leaders have effectively imprisoned and isolated the residents of Camp Liberty just outside Baghdad, and refuse to allow them to leave independently or have contact with the outside world. This has meant that families wishing to help their loved ones have been unable to do so. MEK treatment of these people involves the violation of nearly all their internationally recognised human rights; including the right to form a family, to enjoy citizenship, freedom of belief and many more.

Once they arrive in Albania one of the first things all the new arrivals do is to contact their families and seek out other forms of support. But the MEK does not easily relinquish its control over these former members and has made every effort to prevent them from living independently. One obvious reason is that the MEK want to maintain numbers so they can advertise to Western sponsors as an opposition group. But more importantly, these new arrivals are desperate to tell their stories. They want to speak out about the suffering they endured, some for many, many years. Their stories are of terrible internal human rights abuses committed by the MEK leaders over a period of thirty years (documented by HRW and RAND) and which are still ongoing. They are also witnesses to the MEK’s war crimes while the leaders Massoud and Maryam Rajavi collaborated with Saddam Hussein. The MEK is desperate to silence them.

As the first group arrived, the MEK dispatched senior members from Paris to intimidate them and re-create the cult hierarchy in Tirana. Although unable to physically contain these people, the MEK first offered money and then issued threats to coerce them into compliance. Even so, over half of them rejected the MEK.

The MEK has now created a physical space in which the cult can continue to impose the same strict controls that exist in all its bases. Albanian authorities overseeing the resettlement of these refugees may choose to believe the MEK’s deceptive arguments that this is a humanitarian act because this appears to fulfil the obligations the government has toward the refugees. But former MEK members and cult experts know that already this inaccessible enclave hides systematic human rights abuses.

A country’s commitment to improve human rights for its citizens must not be allowed to exclude the most vulnerable people, including refugees. If Albania is serious about ratifying international human rights conventions and harmonising existing legislation to comply with European standards this issue must be addressed as a matter of urgency before conditions for these vulnerable refugees become intractable.

115 Liberty residents fly to Albania

115 members of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization who resided in Camp Liberty, Iraq flied to Tirana, Albania.

The government of Albania that had received 210 MKO members last year, accepted to receive another 210 individuals under the request of the US government.

Albania had previously provided residential facilities to receive them but the MKO leaders impeded the relocation process under various pretexts.

The selected individuals were supposed to fly to Tirana on November 7th but the MKO officials obstructed the flight a few hours before. Finally, 115 individuals flied to Tirana on November 11th.

55 people of the relocated group are elderlies who suffer severe diseases and 60 other individuals include commandants and high-ranking officials of the MKO.

The MKO tried hard to relocate its high-ranking officials who are under arrest warrant by the Government of Iraq.

It is worth to notify that the MKO did not relocate those Liberty residents whose families have been closely seeking their release from the Cult of Rajavi such as Hossein Moradi, Alireza ,Kobra and Akram Mirbagheri, Amir Arsalan Hassan Zadeh.

Further news on the relocation process will be reported as soon as possible.

210 Liberty residents to be relocated in Albania

Albania is ready to take in some 210 TTL residents in Tirana.

Nejat Society, Tehran – High Commissioner for Refugees in Albania has provided the necessary measures for the transfer of 210 Camp Liberty residents to Albania.

Several apartments are ready to accommodate the newly arrived individuals, reports say.

Rajavis should understand that changes in the government of Iraq has nothing to do with their futile hope in prolonging their agenda and the group has no way but to leave the Iraqi territory.

Open letter from Setaregan Association to former Albanian PM

Open letter from Setaregan Association to Pandeli Majko ( Albanian Prime Minister 1999 – 2002)

Dear Mr Pandeli Majko,

With respect.

Setaregan Association are a group of ex members of the Rajavi cult (Mojahedin Khalq, MEK), who have been working in that cult for many years. Hence we have exclusive first hand experience and information from the inside. We have been informed that unfortunately you have been used by the cult which, as usual, has provided you with false information in order to use your good name and reputation. We feel that at this point we should pass some of our knowledge and experience to your good self so that you would be a bit more familiar with the real nature of this cult and rescue your reputation by distancing yourself from this dangerous and inhumane group as soon as possible.

1 – Rajavi cult (Massoud and Maryam Rajavi) has two completely different faces. In the EU and US they are behaving like a chameleon and hide their true nature. For example, Mrs Rajavi pretends that she is leading a struggle against dictatorship. In reality, we have experienced ourselves that Massoud and Maryam Rajavi are nothing other than brutal dictators themselves.

2 – Someone who does not allow the smallest basic freedoms inside their organisation cannot claim to be struggling for freedom, can they? The Rajavis in this cult forced us to separate from our spouses. Massoud Rajavi banned any love except total love for the cult leaders, i.e. Massoud and Maryam. Any other relationship would be considered a serious crime. We were forcefully separated from our children and were told to forget them alongside our other family members. We were told that we are not allowed to even think or dream about them. Thinking about our family was a crime for which we would be brought up before an internal court and sentenced to imprisonment on the charges of betraying the leadership. Any prisoners who would still refuse to sacrifice their family for Massoud and Maryam would disappear or some would be tortured in front of others. Many of the witnesses who have managed to survive are ready to testify to this if needed. Would these people refrain from torturing and executing people if they come to power when they are already committing these crimes when they are not in power?

3 – There was strict segregation in their camps to the point that men and women were not even allowed to say hello to each other. Saying hello would be considered a crime for which you would be taken to court. Women were forced to wear strict hijab and had no right to choose anything. Many women have undergone forced hysterectomy in order to deprive them of any hope of a normal life and give them more reason to stay with the cult. Men were ordered give up their responsibilities so that women could replace them. Massoud Rajavi believes that he can more easily exert power over women. He believed, rightly or wrongly, that men would resist his inhuman orders and wouldn’t carry out these orders as obediently as women. He would tell women that “you are a bunch of useless people who were only good for looking after children, but now I have empowered you and given you responsibilities. You have nothing from yourselves and, if not because of me, you will again be nothing and you can only survive if you obey 100 percent every order I give you.” He would oblige women to carry out orders without question. Women were afraid of him and would not ask any questions. This is what he would call “taking responsibility”, and what he was expecting from women. This is what Maryam Rajavi means when she talks about “equality of men and women” (both submitting completely). Is this what the people of Iran want and should wait for?

4 – In the Rajavi cult, working to death is carried out in order to stop people from thinking and to keep them busy. There is of course no pay, even though during the rule of Saddam the Rajavis were getting paid lavishly for every one of us every month. Saddam would even give them a share of Iraq’s oil sales for every member they had. This money was never passed to the people and stayed in Rajavis accounts. I don’t know what is your perception of slavery, but this is what we experienced there. People whose fathers, mothers, spouses, children … have been taken away by force, they have no right to even think about anything and are engaged in forced hard labour in the heat and the cold. Really! What is your perception of slavery?

5 – Criticising the leader was equal to signing your own execution order. Criticising the leadership cadre and higher ranks were strictly forbidden and would be met with a crushing response. This of course extended to the National Council of Resistance as well. In the NCRI, the Rajavis label any critic as a mercenary and hence attack and character assassinate and dismiss them. Is this what Maryam Rajavi’s version of “freedom of speech” is, and is this what they are promising for the future of Iran?

6 – In this oppressive cult, people are constantly under pressure and criticism. It is like North Korea where everyone has to feel in debt to the leader every second of their lives. They should wait every day for their turn to sacrifice their lives in order the satisfy the leader. They should be ashamed of themselves for every day that they are alive and believe they would only satisfy the leader and become acceptable when they give their lives and become martyrs. We were forced every day to confess that we are causes of shame for the leader, etc. Does this not remind you of the Inquisition? Maryam Rajavi claimed that she would only rule for 6 months after they take over and then it is the people who would decide. In this case, why is Maryam Rajavi insisting on calling herself the President for the last couple of decades? In the last two decades, why has she not allowed the members to choose another head?

Anyone who has survived the cult has a few books to write about this cult. We are just mentioning some of this knowledge in passing with the hope that you would be encouraged to undertake your own independent investigation into this issue. Every one of us, the ex members and survivors, are of course more than happy to meet you personally and explain our experiences and provide you with documents and evidence. You will then see that why it is that the people of Iran and Iraq, and even the Iranians and Iraqis in Europe, hate this cult.

We urge you again to investigate deeper and distance yourself from this inhuman cult before any damage had been done to your dignity and integrity, especially with the people of Albania.

MEK to re-impose brainwashing system in Albania

Reports from Albania reveal that the MEK are attempting to re-impose its brainwashing system. There are three kinds of people in Tirana. First the MEK and their loyalists. Men and women are separated with the men occupying a 12 storey building called Italia House. The women have been moved a kilometre MEK to re-impose brainwashing system in Albaniadistant.

Apparently Maryam Rajavi is very concerned to restrict their contact with the outside world to prevent any of them running away. Everyone has been instructed, in addition to their daily tasks of cooking and cleaning, to learn English, French or German. Brainwashing sessions are held three times a day. Since Maryam Rajavi is worried about information coming out of Albania she has given direct instructions for everyone to watch each other, to stay inside the building as much as possible and those who need to go shopping should go in groups of at least three and watch each others’ activity.

 On their return they have a debriefing session.

The second group are those who have separated but are still dependent on the MEK for legal and/or financial reasons. They are paid $250 per month plus food, but they have to work for the MEK in return and it is also conditional on them not having contact with others. They are more free than the loyalists, don’t have to participate in meetings, but are required to listen to Maryam Rajavi’s proclamations and watch videos.

The third group are those who have separated completely from the MEK are getting no money or food from the MEK, but little by little they are using their freedom to stand on their own feet and get back to a normal life.

A Report from Tirana

According to reports, the disastrous situation of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (the MKO) in Albania has exasperated Maryam Rajavi. She has dispatched several high-ranking members of the group to A Report from TiranaTirana to hold meetings to chastise Javad Khorasan who is the responsible to protect the organizational relations of the MKO in Tirana and to reprimand him and his peers for their inefficiency.

The MKO is making efforts to regroup members in Tirana by any means but the New Year’s party that was held in the MKO’s apartment was not welcomed by defectors. The group failed to wipe off the crimes and deceptions committed in the cult-like dictatorship from the minds of defected members.

The few people, who attended the ceremony, left the building after half an hour. They had gone there mostly to get news of the insiders. In Tirana, General policy of the MKO is based on recruiting disaffected members by offering them financial support. Despite the MKO’s efforts, defectors of the group are in no way willing to get back in the cult’s structure. A few members have to receive the monthly payment of the MKO because they can hardly ever afford to make a living with the sum that the HCR pays them every month.

In addition, the HCR has got to know about the MKO’s propaganda to deceive the UN officials and also disassociated members so it took an appropriate action to hold Nowruz celebration for defected individuals.

The party was held in a restaurant near TEG a shopping center in Tirana on Monday, March24. Ex-members had a very fun day in the HCR-held Nowruz fest that lasted about 5 hours.
