Kuwait’s political elite slam Saudi Arabia’s support for MKO

Many of the elite, intellectuals, academics, and political figures of Kuwait strongly criticized Saudi Arabia for supporting anti-Iran terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization’s (MKO).

Reacting to Saudi Arabia’s former spy chief Turki al-Faisal’s participation in the MKO gathering and his support for the most hated terrorist group among the Iranians, many of Kuwait’s political elite strongly denounced Saudis’ measure and their failed policies.

When Saudi Arabia supports Iranian armed formations, how you can object Iran’s support for armed groups opposing the Riyadh regime, wrote Abdul-Hamid Dashti, a Kuwaiti Member of Parliament who is also a member of the UN Human Rights Council on his twitter page on Monday.

Dashti went on to say that I wonder how Saudis, who do not have democratic elections and freedom, want it for other nations.

Yasser Al-Saleh, a Kuwaiti university professor also said on that Turki al-Faisal’s attendance in the gathering of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) in Paris is highly detested by the Iranian people.

In his twitter page, Nasser Al Abdouli, head of the Institute for Persian Gulf Studies and Development also wrote S. Arabia that funds Iranian opposition conference, should firstly try to resolve their problems and not to waste their money.

In response to Saudi Arabia’s recent unwise action, Dr. Esam Al-Kazemi also said that Saudis support Maryam Rajavi as ringleader of MKO, while Saudi’s women are not even allowed to get driving licenses and drive in this country!

On Saturday, Turki al-Faisal, Saudi Arabia’s former spy chief, attended a meeting of the MKO terrorists in Paris, reaffirming Riyadh’s commitment to supporting the anti-Iran group and vowing support for efforts to remove the Islamic Republic.

The MKO is the most hated terrorist group among the Iranians because of its dark history of assassinations and bombings and for siding with the former Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein, in his eight-year war against Iran in the 1980s.

Saudi raises ante in hostility with Iran by attending terrorist gathering

Saudi Arabia’s former spy chief has attended an annual meeting of a terrorist group highly detested in Iran, raising the stakes in the kingdom’s confrontational ways with the Islamic Republic.

Prince Turki al-Faisal’s 30-minute address to the gathering of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) in Paris on Saturday showed that a tie-up between the outfit and Takfiri groups might be in the making with the help of the Saudis.

Iranian officials and political observers said Sunday the development pointed to likely Riyadh plans to resuscitate the moribund group and link it with the Takfiris in order to coordinate attacks on Iran.

The MKO is the most hated terrorist group by the Iranians because of its history of assassinations and bombings and for siding with former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein in his eight-year war on Iran in the 1980s.

Faisal’s overt pronouncement of support for the terrorist group marks a turning point in Saudi Arabia’s hostility with Iran and the kingdom’s lack of concern about the sensitivities of the Iranians.

Under the new Saudi rulers, Riyadh has adopted an aggressive policy toward Iran and its allies which are helping Iraq and Syria fight a menacing Takfiri militancy.

Takfirism, which is the trademark of many terrorist groups operating in the region, is largely influenced by Wahhabism, the radical ideology dominating Saudi Arabia and freely preached by Saudi clerics.

‘Political idiocy’

The Paris fiasco is the latest in a litany of recent diplomatic missteps by Saudi Arabia, including its scandalous pressure on the UN to remove Riyadh from a list of children’s rights violators.

Reacting to Prince Turki’s participation at the MKO gathering, an Iranian Foreign Ministry official said the kingdom is using terrorists as "a tool to advance its objectives against Muslim countries."

"It was not unlikely from the godfather of Taliban and al-Qaeda as well as the partner of the Zionists to display its desperation with a new instance of obscenity and political idiocy through participation at the gathering of bankrupt mercenary terrorists," the official said.

"The desperation of the Saudis and their resort to registered terrorists in this showdown indicates that for them, as they have shown in Iraq, Syria and Yemen, terrorism and terrorists are a tool to advance their objectives against Muslim countries in the region," he added.

Saudi autocracy and promise of freedom

In his speech, Faisal pledged to stand by the MKO in what he described as the terrorist outfit’s efforts against the Iranian establishment.

Faisal, who currently chairs the Board of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, also made outrageous remarks against Iran’s revolutionary leaders.

He described MKO terrorists as a hope for “freeing Iran of oppression.”

The terrorist group, which has built a cult-like following, is known for brutal elimination of its own members over dissent. It also keeps tight tabs on social media where Internet and cellphones are nonexistent among its inner circles.

Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, has a dismal record for human rights abuses where dissent is not tolerated. Shia Muslims are a regular target of crackdown and discrimination and women’s rights in the kingdom are among the most restricted in the world.

The current crisis in diplomatic ties came after Iran condemned Saudi execution of Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr, a respected Shia cleric and an outspoken government critic, along with 47 people on a single day in January.

Several international rights groups, including Amnesty International, lashed out at Saudi Arabia for its "surging" and "arbitrary" use of the death penalty and routinely putting people to death for their views.

Praise of defunct terrorist leaders

In his speech, the Saudi prince referred to the notorious terror group’s current head Maryam Rajavi, who was in the audience, as “Mrs. Maryam Rajavi and your late husband Massoud Rajavi.”

The former MKO leader has made no public appearance since 2003, raising speculations that he might be dead even though the terrorist outfit does not confirm that.

The MKO has carried out numerous terrorist attacks against Iranian civilians and government officials over the past three decades. Out of the nearly 17,000 Iranians killed in terrorist attacks since the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, about 12,000 have fallen victim to MKO’s acts of terror.

Washington and the European Union have removed the MKO from their list of terrorist organizations and the group currently enjoys freedom of movement and activity in the US and Europe, including regular meetings with American and European politicians.

What we know about Prince Turki and Saudi Arabia

Under Faisal, Saudi intelligence created al-Qaeda in Afghanistan jointly with US and Pakistani spy agencies. He has acknowledged meeting al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and Taliban leader Mullah Omar.

In 2002, Prince Turki was named in a multibillion-dollar lawsuit by the families of September 11 victims. A court affidavit filed in 2015 claimed that convicted al-Qaeda plotter Zacarias Moussaoui served as a courier between bin Laden and Faisal.

Saudi Arabia is widely believed to have been providing funds and weapons to militants fighting to topple the Syrian and Iraqi governments.

Under the pretext of fighting Iranian influence, the kingdom has also been waging a destructive war on Yemen which has claimed thousands of innocent lives so far.

Saudi-MKO Alliance, a Political Idiocy

Prince Turki al-Faisal’s hostile remarks against Tehran in the annual gathering of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization and his promises to stand by the MKO seems to be a total failure for both sides of the alliance.

The Saudi policies aimed at destabilizing its rival Islamic Republic –as a powerful neighbor and an influential country in the Muslim world—sounds to have formed new stances that are now overt rather than covert. Prince Turkie who presumably have been authorized by his peers in the Saudi regime cheers up the MKO-gathered audience by saying, “I, too, want the downfall of the regime.”

But, this plain sponsorship for the destructive cult of Rajavi with a dark history of violence and human rights abuse will not work. As the New York-based journalist on U.S. foreign policy, Ali Gharib writes, “If Saudi Arabia is on a quest to paint itself as a responsible actor in the region, the kingdom took a big step backward over the weekend.”[1]

It’s truly “a big step backward” and as Barbara Slavin Acting Director of the Future of Iran Initiative at the Atlantic Council in Washington, asserts in her article on Turkie Feisal’s support for the MKO, “mixing with the MEK is a recipe for disaster and a distraction from the region’s and the world’s real enemy – the group that calls itself the Islamic State.”[2]

Slavin confirms rumors about Saudis’ long-standing support for the MKO, “It’s entirely possible that the Saudis have funded the MEK for years.” [3] So, In case of Turkie and other rich Arab figures MKO’s speaking fees do not create the motivation to take such hostile stances against the Islamic Republic. “The Sunni Gulf states—flush with petrodollars and bearing sectarian grudges against Shiite Iran in a regional battle for hegemonic primacy—have long been suspected as a source of funding for MEK’s lavish spending, but no reliable reports have definitively established where the group gets its cash,” writes Ali Gharib. “Al-Faisal’s public move in support of the group certainly provides one more piece of evidence to link Gulf States to MEK’s financing.”[4]

He explains, “Although MEK is famous for lavishing money on its supporters—paying as much as $50,000 for a short speech and investing in politicians through campaign contributions—al-Faisal, as a member of Saudi Arabia’s super-rich royal family, probably scoffs at the sort of cash MEK offers. Instead, al-Faisal attended for obvious reasons: to put a thumb in Iran’s eye.”[ 5]

Actually, Saudi’s financial and spiritual support for the MKO is already a failed investment because the MKO is notoriously known to Iranians and many others in the international community. “Contrary to the MEK’s claims, there is nothing democratic about this cultist organization, which requires its members to divorce their spouses or remain celibate and engage in Maoist-style struggle sessions of self-humiliation”, Slavin warns. “Those that manage to escape often require long periods of de-programming.” [6]

And this is Ali Gharib’s account about the MKO’s situation among all Iranians in general: “Let’s be blunt: MEK is neither a viable agent for regime change in Iran nor the “government-in-exile” the group pretends to be. They enjoy almost no support among Iranians at home or abroad. Exiled royalists hate them for their terror war against the Shah’s regime and their part in the Islamic Revolution. Inside the country, they are reviled across the political spectrum for siding with Saddam Hussein—and fighting against Iranians—in the Iran-Iraq war.” [7]

Robert Macey of the Intercept cites from an Iranian scholar Ariane Tabatabai of Georgetown University _who describes the MKO as “cult-like dissident group”_ what the Iranians feel about the MKO. “If the current government is not Iranians’ first choice for a government, the MEK is not even their last — and for good reason,” tells Ariane Tabatabai to Robert Macey. “Today, the MEK is viewed negatively by most Iranians, who would prefer to maintain the status quo than rush to the arms of what they consider a corrupt, criminal cult.” [8]

Saudi transformation from a sponsor of Syrian rebels particularly ISIS to a state sponsor of the terrorist cult of Rajavi indicates the failure of previous proxy wars and a new endeavor to confron Iran. However, the new choice is not reliable at all. The common enmity for Iran does makes an absolutely idiot alliance.

As a matter of fact, ISIS is losing ground in Syria and Iraq and eventually Saudi Arabia is largely losing the capacities to use terrorist groups against its rival. Thus, the kingdom is beating the dead horse of “the late Massoud Rajavi”.

Saudi Supports Anti-Iran MEK Fanatics

If Saudi Arabia is on a quest to paint itself as a responsible actor in the region, the kingdom took a big step backward over the weekend. That’s when a former top official—who remains an influential figure—declared support not only for regime change in Iran but for one of the strangest would-be agents of overthrowing the Islamic Republic. Prince Turki bin Faisal al-Saud, the former head of the Saudi intelligence agency and a longtime ambassador to the U.S., spoke to a gathering of thousands of Iranian exiles in Paris. The group was gathered to fête Maryam Rajavi and her movement, the Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK), a group that, until 2012, the United States and other Western countries listed as a terrorist organization.

Al-Faisal more than played his part in the adulatory chorus. “You, Maryam Rajavi,” he said, according to the Saudi-owned pan-Arab newspaper Asharq al-Awsat, “your endeavor to rid your people of the Khomeinist cancer is an historic epic that, like the Shanameh”—the most famous Iranian epic poem—“will remain inscribed in the annals of history.” Rajavi’s endeavor, of course, has been the monomaniacal pursuit of bringing down the Iranian regime—under any banner she can fly—in order to install herself atop Iran’s government.

MEK has a long and strange history. With roots as an Islamo-Marxist revolutionary organization dating back to the 1960s, MEK launched various terrorist attacks during the time of the Shah to achieve its aim of toppling the monarchy. As a result, it faced a brutal crackdown. During the 1979 Islamic Revolution, MEK fought at the vanguard of anti-Shah forces. But after the king’s overthrow, Ayatollah Khomeini’s Islamic Republicans stripped MEK of its potential place in the halls of power by. Around that time, the group consolidated itself around the leadership of the charismatic and mustachioed Massoud Rajavi. Facing another round of brutal repression, this time under Khomeini’s nascent rule, Rajavi led his followers into exile, setting up a political base in France and a military one in Iraq, where Saddam Hussein’s regime lavished weapons and cash on MEK fighters. In 1985, Rajavi took Maryam Abrishamchi as his wife and co-leader. Critics, including no small number of former adherents, allege that a cult of personality has developed around the pair.

MEK and Petrodollars?

Al-Faisal’s appearance at the MEK gathering was remarkable on a number of fronts. The anti-Iran Gulf Arab monarchies, among which Saudi Arabia is the driving force, haven’t made a show of open support for such a controversial anti-Iran groups like MEK. (Other Gulf monarchies and their allies also appeared at the Paris summit: a member of parliament from Bahrain gave a speech, as did a delegation from Jordan, another monarchy with close security ties to the Gulf.) The Sunni Gulf states—flush with petrodollars and bearing sectarian grudges against Shiite Iran in a regional battle for hegemonic primacy—have long been suspected as a source of funding for MEK’s lavish spending, but no reliable reports have definitively established where the group gets its cash. Al-Faisal’s public move in support of the group certainly provides one more piece of evidence to link Gulf States to MEK’s financing.

Then there was al-Faisal’s speech explicit call for regime change in Iran and support for MEK. The crowd at the MEK rally, donning their standard yellow vests and hats, interrupted al-Faisal’s speech with Arabic chants in favor of bringing down the Iranian regime. Al-Faisal, who had been delivering his speech in Arabic, responded in kind: “I, too, want the fall of the regime.” At The Intercept, Robert Mackey noted an irony: the Arabic chant to which al-Faisal responded so positively is the same one that “was used in the pro-democracy protests across the Middle East in 2011 that Saudi Arabia fought so hard to repress.”

A host of other ironies also loom over al-Faisal’s appearance. MEK, for instance, long ago gave up its aim of an Islamic Marxist state in favor of hollow pledges to establish a secular democracy in Iran. But Saudi Arabia and its Gulf allies are about the farthest thing from a secular democracy. Conservative religious sentiments inspire the Saudi royal family’s rule, and political repression is endemic wherever Saudi Arabia enjoys considerable influence. What’s more, MEK directed the first decade of its terrorist attacks at bringing down the Shah’s repressive monarchy, denouncing its form of government as inherently unjust. The kingdom of Saudi Arabia, then, makes an especially strange bedfellow.

Let’s be blunt: MEK is neither a viable agent for regime change in Iran nor the “government-in-exile” the group pretends to be. They enjoy almost no support among Iranians at home or abroad. Exiled royalists hate them for their terror war against the Shah’s regime and their part in the Islamic Revolution. Inside the country, they are reviled across the political spectrum for siding with Saddam Hussein—and fighting against Iranians—in the Iran-Iraq war.

Saudi Interests

Why, given all that, would such a well-connected former Saudi official make such a show of supporting MEK? Although MEK is famous for lavishing money on its supporters—paying as much as $50,000 for a short speech and investing in politicians through campaign contributions—al-Faisal, as a member of Saudi Arabia’s super-rich royal family, probably scoffs at the sort of cash MEK offers. Instead, al-Faisal attended for obvious reasons: to put a thumb in Iran’s eye. In this, the high-ranking prince is acting like the Washington Iran hawks that have warmed up to Saudi Arabia since, mostly out of mutual enmity for Iran, the Gulf Arab states and Israel began blowing kisses to each other over their shared antipathy for the Iran nuclear deal. Several such hawks were in attendance in Paris. As The Intercept reported, among the attendees were Newt Gingrich and superhawk former UN ambassador John Bolton.

For close MEK watchers, such as myself, perhaps the most interesting wrinkle—aside from the Saudi prince’s ridiculous gesture toward Rajavi—was al-Faisal’s apparent announcement of Massoud Rajavi’s death. The MEK leader hasn’t been seen in public since the US invaded Iraq in 2003, at which time Massoud was holed up with thousands of MEK fighters at the desert base Saddam Hussein had bestowed upon the group. Occasional reports of Massoud addressing followers by phone have appeared, but even the last of these was years ago. Rumors of his death have swirled for years. Al-Faisal appeared to confirm them when he referred to Massoud Rajavi as “marhoom,” which means “late.” Here’s how Al Monitor’s Arash Karami reported the fallout:

In response to Faisal’s comments about the “late” Massoud Rajavi, the MEK continued to deny Massoud’s death. Shahin Ghobadi, spokesman for the MEK, said Faisal’s comments were “misinterpreted.” In the audio, however, Faisal refers on two different occasions to Massoud as “marhoom,” which means “late” in both Arabic and Persian.

That’s just like MEK: lying about something everyone can see is true. The possible revelation of Massoud Rajavi’s death, however, doesn’t change the geopolitics: Maryam Rajavi is still around. With Massoud out of sight for nearly a decade and a half, MEK has operated under her aegis, their relevancy slipping away but the core of adherents holding to the pipe dream of retaking Iran. Perhaps al-Faisal’s appearance does indicate a program of Saudi Arabian support for MEK. But it will only allow the group’s followers to cling to their fantasy of putting Rajavi in charge of their homeland. MEK trudges on, thanks to supporters with deep pockets in high places.

The late Iraqi dictator did kill many thousands of people—but very few were terrorists

Donald Trump is, by his own admission, “like, a really smart person,” and someone who has “a very good brain,”

Trump, roughly: Saddam Hussein was thiiiiiiiiis good at killing terrorists.

but he don’t know much about history. His remarks this week—and on multiple other occasions—about Saddam Hussein’s skill at counterterrorism are a reminder of this.

“He was a bad guy—really bad guy,” Trump opined during a rally in North Carolina. “But you know what he did well? He killed terrorists. He did that so good. They didn’t read them the rights. They didn’t talk. They were terrorists. Over.”

Hussein, it is true, killed a lot of people. The estimates run into the hundreds of thousands, and he murdered in a variety of appalling ways: He had his victims shot, gassed, blown up, beheaded and even torn apart by wild animals. And while all of his victims had excellent reasons for not liking life under the longtime Iraqi dictator, almost none were terrorists. On the contrary, terrorists in Iraq were mostly honored guests and worked at the regime’s behest.

Thousands of terrorists called Iraq home, and their organizations had the blood of Israelis, Turks, Iranians and Europeans from numerous countries on their hands. Among the killers were members of the Palestine Liberation Front, the Arab Liberation Front, the Kurdish PKK, the Iranian Mujahidin e-Khalq and the Abu Nidal Organization. Saddam promised to pay the families of suicide bombers who killed Israelis for their deeds. It is true that he despised jihadists and had nothing to do with al Qaeda, but that hardly diminishes his record. Not for nothing, Iraq was among the first batch of countries designated by Washington as state sponsors of terror in 1979.

Perhaps Trump has information that is not widely available, but only one case of a terrorist being killed in Iraq comes readily to mind: the death of Abu Nidal. Before Osama bin Laden came along, Nidal—also known as Sabry al Banna—was widely considered the most vicious terrorist alive. He worked, by turns, for the Syrians, the Libyans and the Iraqis, engineered notorious airport massacres in 1985 in Rome and Vienna, and ultimately was credited with some 900 deaths and injuries.

Nidal was a particular favorite of Hussein, who employed him for assassinations and other wet-work from the beginning of his career in the 1970s. But as rumors of an approaching war with the United States swirled in the August of 2002, Hussein is said to have worried that Nidal, who lived in Baghdad, might be working for the U.S. Though Hussein might also have decided that as Washington was making its case for action against Iraq, Nidal was a non-essential burden. Iraqi press accounts afterward that said Nidal committed suicide and that he had multiple gunshot wounds. Perhaps that was what Trump was thinking when he applauded Hussein for killing terrorists “so good.” But the bigger picture of Iraq’s ties with Abu Nidal begs the question of whether the end was the most important part of this relationship.

It also seems to have slipped by Trump that the Iraqi dictator often used his own intelligence service to stage terrorist attacks. The best known case got more than a little press because it involved an effort to kill a former American president. In April 1993, shortly after leaving office, George H.W. Bush visited Kuwait, the country his administration liberated from Iraqi occupation. Hussein sought retribution through a car bombing arranged by his intelligence service.

The Kuwaitis uncovered the plot before Bush arrived. Two months later, after the suspects confessed and the full picture of the operation was clear, President Bill Clinton sent 23 Tomahawk cruise missiles into Iraqi intelligence headquarters. It was his administration’s first use of military force.

This was not exactly a hidden chapter in history. Indeed, President George W. Bush reminded everyone in late 2002 that Saddam was “the guy who tried to kill my dad”—a remark that launched countless conjectures about the motivation behind the American march to war in Iraq.

It is odd that Trump seems to have no memory of the incident and odder still that he holds up Hussein as being on the right side of the terrorism issue. Unimpeachable ignorance and no moral compass. Trump does that so good. Over.

Honorable Father Brian Medvi, Mr Phil Glendenning, Dr Meridis Bergman, Mr David Martin Shoebridge, Mr Laurie Donald Thomas Fereguson,

Greetings to you all.

My name is Mr Hassan Piransar and unfortunately I was a member of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran for 25 years.

I sacrificed everything which was precious in my life for my beliefs: I lost my parents, I lost my youth, I lost my future – right now I am 55 years old. I am lonely in this world without any future, without the love of my parents and the people who loved me. Yes, I am alone and betrayed in this world. I’ll tell you why.

I was informed by my friends in the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran that you have all been invited to their gathering on 9th of July this year. Do you want to know why I said I lost everything?

I lost everything because I trusted this organization. I was a lover of freedom and democracy for my country, Iran. But unfortunately I was deceived by this organization and its leadership and as a result I not only lost everything in my life but also I did not achieve my objectives which were freedom and democracy in Iran.

I want to tell you all this so that you do not make the same mistake which I made for 25 years. I urge you not to participate in their gathering. The organisers just want to take advantage of your name and your position in society. June 17, 2003: perils or promises for the MKO

“Interestingly it was through Neda Hassani that I met my future husband because she worked in the MEK’s Westminster based PR office where he was also stationed and I was sent to work with her. How ironic it seems now that while Massoud and I were leaving, she was getting more deeply involved. Like ships in the night we passed each other by, unaware of our future destinies. Even at the time I remember trying to talk to her and explain that the MEK are not what she thought they were. But of course, the radicalization process had already begun and she couldn’t heed my warnings.” Ann Singleton, former member of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (the MKO/ MEK/ the Cult of Rajavi).

The destiny of Neda Hassani was tied to the arrest of the MKO leader Maryam Rajavi by the French Police, on June 17th, 2003. To protest the arrest of the cult leader, a dozen of the group members set themselves on fire in the streets of the European capitals. Neda Hassani was one of those radicalized members of the group who lost her life for the freedom of the cult leader. According to the MKO propaganda, Maryam Rajavi was their “hope for freedom”! Another woman, Sedigheh Mojaveri died because of the self-immolation and several others became paralyzed.

Consequently, Maryam Rajavi was freed but what was the outcome of the incidents of June 2003 for the group and for the world around it?

After the American invasion to Iraq in March 2003 and the collapse of the Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, the MKO lost its main military and financial sponsor. The US military first bombed the group’s camps in Iraq and then signed an agreement with it. Following the agreement, the US military disarmed the MKO. Disarmament of the group was actually like confiscating its identity. The MKO’s essence and identity was based on armed struggle and violence. Its tanks, military trucks, weapons and arms were sacred objects in the hands of members.

Disarmament of the MKO and the fall of Saddam Hussein caused an increasing demand for defection from the group. Dissident members could not accept the MKO’s alliance with the US imperialism, formerly known as the main enemy of the Khalq (people). They found it contradictory to stay disarmed in Iraq under the shelter of the US forces. They began questioning the leaders’ strategies and eventually left the group’s cult-like brainwashing system. Since 2003, defectors of the MKO formed a huge wave of revelations about the horrible and abusive system of the MKO.

In addition, the fall of Saddam Hussein frightened the MKO leaders. Maryam Rajavi and a number of high-ranking members of the group fled Iraq to France just a few weeks before the French Police’s raid on their headquarters in Auver sur d’Oise, Paris. Massoud Rajavi in his turn was terrified by the arrest of Maryam and has disappeared since then!

The newly-established Iraqi government, a friend of its neighboring country Iran, and hostile with the MKO for its long-time alliance with Saddam Hussein in the suppression of Iraqi Kurds and Shiites, did not want the cult of Rajavi in its territory. Some years lasted until the Iraqi government succeeded to shut down the MKO’s beloved and glorified base Camp Ashraf. By the aid of the UN authorities, the MKO is gradually relocated in Albania, Europe. Therefore since 2003 the MKO has been on decline.

On the other side, the human torches before the eyes of Europeans citizens clarified the existence of a cult in the heart of Europe. Suicide and Self-immolation is the normal reaction of most of the cults in case that their guru is in danger or if they are ordered by the guru. Self-immolations added a new dark page to the history of the notorious Mujahedin khalq.

Although the MKO propaganda uses the names of Neda Hassani and Sedigheh Mojaveri as martyrs and heroes who sacrificed themselves for their leader, the world sees significant signs of cult-like indoctrination and coercion in the death of two young women. The MKO definitely demoted from a political movement to a destructive cult in the view of the international community –it was previously detested by the Iranians for its terrorist acts and its alliance with Saddam Hussein.

After a lot of ups and downs and long period of time the terrorist Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization (the MKO) with records full of multiple crimes including association with aggressive dictator Saddam Hussein’s government in Iraq to participate in the suppression of the uprising in Basra and receiving permission to march in the streets of Baghdad, tragic suppression of Iraqi Kurds, receiving 30 thousand of hectares of agricultural lands for the expansion of Camp Ashraf, and above all of them, involvement in killing of Iranian people which according to their own admission killed more than 50,000 innocent people, has now placed its main headquarters in Auvers-sur-Oise, Paris, France.

Meanwhile, even with the covert movements in France and even Europe the MKO puts the information from the students and labor protests of the French people at the disposal of intelligence services so that the police were able to avoid the presence of protesters in the streets faster, According to available records they may also directly cooperate with the police crackdown on student protests In exchange for certain advantages.

After three month of rebellion in Paris, by hiring some travel agencies as tourism from Central Asia and also few fans in Europe Rajavi’s group add some new members to their wild organization’s for Maryam Rajavi’s speech on July 9 in Paris.

Shouldn’t people and fighters of justice for laborers be aware of cooperation between Rajavi’s criminals and French police?

Do you think it is the right of the people of Paris to know that, there are criminals in their neighbors who would use any nation and person as a bait to achieve their purposes?

The people of Iraq carried out various protests against this terrorist group which led to violence, it is necessary for French protesters to be aware of these undemocratic dirty work that is remained of the Saddam Hussein’s dictatorship, they should know that their taxes are spend on crackdown of the French youth and binge of leaders of the terrorist organization of MKO (the hypocrites).

Isn’t it time that this group of spies and anti-people be expelled from France due to the recent terrorist acts in Paris to make people feel more secure.

Former MKO member cautions France on the threat of terrorists

A former high ranking member of Mujahedin-e Khalq Cult cautioned France of the potential threat of terrorists’ presence at the Cult’s annual rally in Paris on July 9th.

The same as every other year the group is busy recruiting paid audiences to participate the rally.

Mr. Issa Azadeh who spent 30 years within the Mujaheidn-e Khalq Cult affairs, in an open letter to the French Interior Minister writes:

” …..Through social media I founded out that the Cult of Rajavi is due to hold a gathering on the occasion of the anniversary of the group’s armed struggle as well as Maryam Rajavi’s – the cult leader ; Massoud Rajavi’s wife – release from prison in France. So as the MKO is going to transfer a large number of Arab refugees to Paris by Bus.

I warn you according to my human duty that the dangerous terrorists of ISIS can take the opportunity to enter Paris through the MKO rented buses.

The Cult of Rajavi smuggles people without any certificate card or passport from European refugee Camps into France. The MKO employs these people as rent-a-crowd to pretend it has a popular base in Iran in order to attract the attention of reporters and European states. Conversely, the reality is that this dangerous cult has no support in Iran due to its anti-Iranian and terrorist nature. The group has just some agents who are active on socal networks in exchange for money…."

Female Suspect Arrested in Albania over Tehran Blast: Iran’s Police

Iran’s Police spokesman said the Interpol has arrested a female member of the terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) in Albania for involvement in a bomb blast at the headquarters of the Islamic Republic Party in Tehran in 1981. Speaking to the Tasnim News Agency on Sunday, General Saeed Montazer-al-Mahdi said the woman was arrested after she was put on the Interpol’s Red Notice, a warrant that necessitates measures to seek the location and arrest of a person wanted by a judicial jurisdiction or an international tribunal with a view to his or her extradition.

On June 28, 1981, a powerful bomb went off at the headquarters of Iran’s Islamic Republic Party in Tehran, while the members were holding a meeting.

It was revealed later that the MKO was behind the terrorist blast.

72 Iranian officials were killed in the explosion, including Chief Justice Ayatollah Mohammad Beheshti, four cabinet ministers, 27 members of the parliament and several other government officials.

The MKO – listed as a terrorist organization by much of the international community – fled Iran in 1986 for Iraq and was given a camp by former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.

They fought on the side of Saddam during the Iraqi imposed war on Iran (1980-88). They were also involved in the bloody repression of Shiite Muslims in southern Iraq in 1991 and the massacre of Iraqi Kurds.

The notorious group is also responsible for killing thousands of Iranian civilians and officials after the victory of the Islamic revolution in 1979.

More than 17,000 Iranians, many of them civilians, have been killed at the hands of the MKO in different acts of terrorism including bombings in public places, and targeted killings.
