Mujahedin Khalq Organization joined a Sunni terrorist group that sought to kill Shiites.

A Sunni group named Talaye Jaish Muhammad (Vanguards Army of Muhammad) confirmed the MKO’s Mujahedin Khalq Organization joined a Sunni terrorist group that sought to kill Shiites. membership in its establishment, according to Al Javar. The group issued a statement on Monday (March 3rd) to declare that it is seeking to kill Shiites. Jaish Muhammad called on all sunni organizations in Arab and Islamic countries in Asia, North Africa and Syria to form a large army and to support armed Sunni insurgents in Iraq and Lebanon.

According to reliable sources Vanguards of Jaish Muhammad have recruited members in different regions in the world including Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon and the Mujahedin Khalq Organization.

The statement calls on the governments of Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia to join their alleged anti Shiite resistance asking them to expel Shiites from North African countries. Jaish Muhammad asked these governments to prevent the influence and development of Shiites in their territories in order to allegedly protect the stability of their governments.

The MKO disappointed with the Spanish ruling

“Lawmakers in Spain voted on Thursday [February 25th] in favour of a bill that will reduce the capacity of the country’s courts to pursue cases of human rights abuses committed abroad.” The Local Website reported.

The bill curbs the use of the doctrine of universal jurisdiction, which allows judges to try certain cases of crimes against humanity that took place in other countries.

Mujahedin Khalq Organization was seeking to manipulate the Spanish judges to promote its agenda.

After the September 1st Camp Ashraf clashes and the allegedly 7 Camp residents missing, MKO leaders forced members in Camp Liberty into hunger strike. After 107 days of fruitless show of hunger strike and the escalation of criticisms, Maryam Rajavi ordered an end to the hunger strike under the pretext that a Spanish investigative judge accepted to investigate the allegations of two members of the MEK that Iraq’s National Security Advisor has been involved in Camp Ashraf events.

Then the group websites broadcasted this as a ‘victory’ and in Farsi they portrayed this as an actual court ruling against an Iraqi official.

The pass of the bill is a bad news for MKO leaders. Under the bill, judges could investigate crimes against humanity, war crimes and genocide only if the suspect is a Spanish national, a foreigner living in Spain or a foreigner in Spain whose extradition has been denied by Spanish officials.

The spokesman of Spain’s ruling conservative Popular Party said the reforms outlined in the bill were needed to avoid "useless disputes that only generate diplomatic conflicts".

Massoud Rajavi panics over new revelations

The new message of the leader of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization, Massoud Rajavi granted an opportunity to former members of the cult-like group to denounce their former leader and his cult once Massoud Rajavi panics over new revelations again. Massoud Rajavi tried in vain to demonize his former followers –now critics.

In spite of severe mind-control system ruling" the cult of Rajavi", the defection process has not stopped. Perhaps the most frustrating stage of defection –for Massoud Rajavi– took place in Tirana, Albania where out of 210 individuals transferred from Camp Liberty, 75 left the group hegemony. These newly released individuals who are now experiencing the life in a free world in the absence of the cult control.

In an Open Letter dated January 21 addressed to Jane Holl Lute, Special Adviser to the UN Secretary General for the Relocation of Camp Hurriya (aka Liberty) Residents Outside of Iraq, fifty nine former MEK members asked her to help the people in Iraq and in Albania. They emphatically asked her to bypass the MEK leaders because they are the problem and not part of the solution.

The human action by ex-members of the MKO is immediately faced with the group’s hasty reaction. According to Iran interlink, Several Iranian residents in Europe who have contact with their friends in Tirana are now reporting that the MKO agents are exerting huge pressure on the disaffected members, who have been moved to another building block, to sign a petition against these fifty nine people and denounce them as “agents of the regime". The MKO agents make efforts to buy the recently defected individuals in Albania back to the cult. Except for a few who have money from their families the rest must rely either on $200 per month from the UNHCR or alternatively the MEK will give them $500 per month on condition they work on the internet (to promote the MEK) and not work against them in any way. They threaten the refugees to death if they do not cooperate with them.

The panic of collapse is also evidently seen in the new message of the cult leader Massoud Rajavi. He runs a torrent of fabrications against former members. Along with its cult guru the MKO’s propaganda begins a campaign of accusations against former members. The group’s so-called National Council of Resistance published an announcement to propagate its misinformation about a number of ex-members labeling them as the agents of the Iranian Intelligence Ministry in Iraq.

Actually, a large number of defectors of the MKO are currently active critics of the group. Enjoying the free world they have access to the Internet. They run their own websites and weblogs and use different media including online social networks to denounce the cult and its leaders. Having experienced the horrible life of the cult and witnessed the atrocities of the group leaders against its own members, Iranian country men, and Iraqi Kurds and Shiites.

The new MKO’s flood of accusations against defectors and critics has no use except a tool to threat other members who are still taken as hostages behind the bars of the cult. All these allegations and accusations are made to give a lesson to the other hostages of the consequences of leaving the cult. In fact, the target audience of the MKO propaganda particularly in Farsi and the alleged messages of Rajavi are exclusively for the brainwashed followers and a few misled sympathizers of the cult.

As a matter of fact, the MKO misinformation has another outcome too; it provokes ex-members to get more active in exposing the true substance of the cult. Most defectors who are residing in Iraq or Albania have been interviewed by UN monitors. One of these people is Ali Khatami who currently resides in Hotel Mohajer (where the MKO propaganda claims to be the base of the Iranian Intelligence agent) after recently escaping the MEK camp. Khatami has told Iran interlink that all he has said against Massoud and Maryam Rajavi can be proved. He referred to Ms. Jane Holl Lute’s visit to Hotel Mohajer. " Along with her assistant [she] visited the ex members and wrote down everything we said and promised she would have more frequent contact with us as part of her work," Iran interlink quoted Khatami. “Rajavi may think she came here because we are more important, but the truth is, she came here because we are free and accessible. She cannot access and talk freely with people inside Camp Liberty without the presence of Rajavi’s henchmen. UNAMI [in its Half Yearly Report on Human Rights – January to June 2013] clearly describes the various obstructive behavior of the MEK and that is why Jane Holl Lute had to come to us."

Today, the MKO defectors seem to be determined to help release their former comrades. This is an effective tool in order to break through the bars of the cult, meanwhile a horrible nightmare for the MKO leaders who are struggling hard to survive.

Duplicity of the MEK nature

The MKO’s double standards over democracy and terrorism

Over the past weeks the Iranian society have been concerned over two different issues: The kidnapping of five Iranian border guards by Jaish-ul-Adl terrorist group and the alleged offensive dialogue in the TV serial that caused complaint of the Iranian Bakhtiari tribe. Departed from the authentic Iranian community, the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (the MKO) has taken a much different approach regarding these two facts.

The Sunni terrorist group Jaish ul-Adl of Iran (“Army of Justice of Iran”), the apparent successor to Jundullah, took responsibility for abducting the Iranian soldiers. Reportedly, the Takfiri group confirmed on its twitter account that it has kidnapped them. While the Iranian community all over the world condemned the Taliban-like kidnapping of the young Iranian hostages, the MKO has kept a tactical silence because it has always supported Al-Qaida-linked separatist groups. The MKO has been a supporter of the ex- leader of the terrorist Judullah, Abdulmalek Rigi openly calling him the leader of a democratic movement.

The MKO’s meaningful silence over the life of the Iranian soldiers who are at risk of being slaughtered by radical extremists evokes the violent anti-Iranian substance of the Cult of Rajavi. While online social networks are overwhelmed with waves of Iranians’ solidarity for kidnapped border guards, the MKO websites exaggeratedly focus on what they call "Bakhtiari Uprising" in Iran.

Using fake and true photos of Bakhtiari demonstrations in some Iranian provinces the MKO opportunists make efforts to trouble the waters of a democratic protest which may happen in any democratic society. The democratically stated demand of the Bakhtiari Iranians was met. The officials of the state-run Iranian TV stopped showing the TV serial. They also apologized to Bhakhtiari fellowmen for the alleged offensive language used in the serial. However the MKO propaganda tried to reflect the act of TV authorities as "retreat before Bakhtiari popular uprising"!

As a matter of fact, apology is a healing icon of democracy. The role of accountability, apology, and forgiveness in a democratic community is really helpful, very opposite to the uncivil discourse in the cult-like MKO which is based on hurling words at members, turning pain outward and projecting it on other people who are ideologically opposite–or at least perceived to be. When we reflect on our own behavior and apologize to those who we have hurt–even unintentionally– we create a space for light to break in. Space for a real conversation and for renewal and healing. A secure space that member trapped in the MKO structure absolutely lack.

According to numerous international reports and testimonies of former members of the MKO, inside the group, dissident voice is harshly suppressed by the leaders. Critics of the group are all labeled as "the agent of the Regime" so they are deserved to be extremely punished. No protest is allowed in the MKO. No space for light to break in.

Diplomacy is underway; Domino of MKO failures has no end

“Give Diplomacy a Chance” was the title of a call circulated on Capitol Hill to sign a Letter to Barack Obama. The letter opposing new Iran sanctions legislation while talks underway was drafted by U.S. Diplomacy is underway; Domino of MKO failures has no end Reps. Lloyd Doggett and David Price have garnered the bipartisan support of over 100 members of House of Representatives. [1]

“At present, however, we believe that Congress must give diplomacy a chance. A bill or resolution that risks fracturing our international coalition or, worse yet, undermining our credibility in future negotiations and jeopardizing hard-won progress toward a verifiable final agreement, must be avoided.” said the letter sent to President Obama on Wednesday February12. [2]

The letter is bad news for the Mujahedin Khalq Organization who spent substantial sums of cash to rent paid advocates to organize a pressure campaign aimed at waging war against Iran and curtailing U.S. diplomatic efforts to resolve the Iranian nuclear dispute.

The pro-diplomacy campaign came out when the White House criticized the sanctions supporters and promised to veto any bills calling for new sanctions since they clearly violate the interim P5+1 agreement.

"If certain members of Congress want the United States to take military action, they should be up front with the American public and say so," Bernadette Meehan, National Security Council spokeswoman, said in a statement.[3]

The MKO warmongering apparatus which is after violent regime change in Iran and works hard to push war against Iran got disappointed once more as AIPAC which for months had been lobbying lawmakers hard to push the Iran sanctions bill reversed course on the issue and retreated in the face of resistance from the White House and key Democratic Lawmakers.

Nonetheless serving as puppet of the Israeli regime and becoming tool of Israel and American Neo-Conservatives in launching acts of espionage and violence directed at Iran and unabashedly betraying their own nation — along with their deep pockets- brought nothing good for the group.

Nuclear talks between Iran and world powers move to the next level Tuesday with negotiators due to begin work on transforming an interim deal into an ambitious lasting accord.

MKO lost their old strategic Camp Ashraf. Nobody took serious their show of hunger strike – which the Cult leaders forced members to hold under the pretext of saving 7 allegedly missing Camp Ashraf residents after the September Camp Ashraf clashes – and the Cult leaders pressed to order its end allegedly because of a Spanish court’s ruling against the Iraqi Prime Minister’s Advisor. Iraq is serious in expelling them from the country. No country is willing to let in 3000+ former terrorists. The West prefers not to derail diplomacy with Iran engaging with a trivial terrorist Cult. Neither paid advocates, nor offering themselves as mercenaries of the Iranian nation enemies work anymore.

The MEK has no way to win or better to say to survive. The domino of MEK failures is continuing and the countdown for the group’s complete collapse has started.

The MKO’s deep pocket is not enough

Despite the well funded efforts by the Mujahedin Khalq Organization’s lobbyists in the US Congress, the pro Israel lobbying group, the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) turned its back to the MKO. AIPAC gave up on pushing for a vote on an anti-Iran bill after top sponsor of new sanction bill — who is actually an MKO’s main advocate in the Congress– Senator Robert Menendez spoke against an immediate vote. AIPAC said in an emailed statement, "that there should not be a vote at this time on the measure.”[1]

The New York Times’ Mark Landler suggests that there have been very few issues on which the AIPAC "lost showdown with the White House"."But now Aipac, as the group is known, once again finds itself in a very public standoff with the White House,” He writes. "Its top priority, a Senate bill to impose new sanctions on Iran, has stalled after stiff resistance from President Obama, and in what amounts to a tacit retreat, Aipac has stopped pressuring Senate Democrats to vote for the bill."[2]

US Lawmakers confirm that the political climate on Capitol Hill has changed since the bill’s sponsors and Aipac made their push to sign the new bill to increase sanctions against Iran in December. Apparently they plan "to give Mr. Obama breathing room for diplomacy".

Menendez and AIPAC’s change of course, however, came after the bill lost steam when several Democratic cosponsors of the legislation, including senators Joe Manchin (West Virginia), Kirsten Gillibrand (New York), Ben Cardin (Maryland), Richard Blumenthal (Connecticut), and Chris Coons (Delaware), said they did not favor an immediate vote on the bill, according to Press TV.[3]

In December 2013 when the new anti Iran legislation was first brought to the Congress by Senator Menendez and his colleague Senator Kirk, Jim White of the Empty Wheel website gave the MKO too much credit to state that ” the work (and funding money) of MEK, which advocates for (in my opinion, violent) regime change in Iran, seems to be just as likely [AIPAC], if not more likely, to be behind this hideous piece of legislation ”.[4]However he was definitely right to accuse Menendez of being in the payroll of the MKO.

Earlier, in November, Austin Wright of Politico reported that an MKO activist in the US Masood Abooali contributed $2,600 in August to Sen. Lindsey Graham’s reelection campaign. In his investigative report he also revealed, "Earlier this year, Abooali contributed to two other Iran hawks, giving $2,600 to Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.), chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and $1,000 to Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.), a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee."[5]

It is worth to know that Menendez is under criminal investigation by the FBI for his ties to two fugitive Ecuadorian bankers and his donors. Moreover, Ros- lehtinen is charged with the same crime. "While the fugitive brothers cannot donate directly because they are not US citizens, their American relatives can and have given generously to Ros-Lehtinen, Menendez and others," reported Brett Wilkins of Digital Journal. "In addition to Ros-Lehtinen, who received $20,000 from the family, and Menendez, who got $10,000 for his 2012 campaign." [6]

Although the two Senators deny any quid pro quo with the fugitive brothers the author of the piece adds more to the list of their mistakes. He criticizes Ros-lehtinen for publicly voicing "her support for Mujahedeen e-Khalq (MEK), a then-State Department-designated foreign terrorist organization of Iranian dissidents who once assassinated numerous US officials and carries out attacks inside Iran with US and Israeli assistance."[7]

By the way, the MKO’s lavish parties for its high profile –corrupt– friends in the US Congress in order to run its hostile policies against the Iranian nation has not worked yet and it is unlikely to work in the future.

Demonstration in Paris demanding the expulsion of MKO terrorists

On 26th January a demonstration and picket was organised in front of the mayor’s office in Auvers sur Oise, just outside Paris, demanding the expulsion of the terrorist Mojahedin Khalq organisation from the country. At first, the mayor, who is a long term supporter of the MEK, tried to stop the picket. But he soon backed off when he realised there were many local dignitaries among the protestors. He then tried to play it down and act innocent about the MEK’s presence. Demonstrators carried placards and banners and distributed leaflets pointing out the past and present violent nature of the MEK in Iran, Iraq and the EU including France. The Peace Association, a French association, has gained momentum since then and many French citizens have joined since the picket at Auvers and it has become a nationwide movement as French people are becoming more and more aware of the dangers of having this group on their soil, particularly as the MEK is now being expelled from Iraq, and the French do not want their headquarters in their country. The demonstrators were confronted by aggressive MEK security members who issued death threats and violence. Police are investigating several complaints.

Purchased MKO supporters to violate New deal

The sworn enemy of the Iranian Nation, the Mujahedin khalq Organization is passionately paying the US officials to pass new legislations in the Congress that violate the interim agreement reached by Islamic Republic in December 2013 in Geneva. The MKO’ efforts have got some attention among bipartisan US representatives and senators.

Dave Seminara of Purchased MKO supporters to violate New deal The Washington Diplomat puts, "In Washington, there are very few issues that unite Republicans and Democrats. One is support for Israel and condemnation of the Islamic Republic of Iran." [1] The Israeli notorious lobby AIPAC is a powerful Zionist body that effectively runs Israeli policies including hostile guidelines against Iran, in the US government.

"The MeK is putting a lot of effort behind the same Senate sanctions bill that the Israel Lobby is so staunchly behind" , writes Jason Ditz of the Anitwar website. "The bill would violate the Iran deal by imposing new sanctions, and would effectively kill negotiations." [2]

Today, the MKO’s Multi million campaign in the Congress is in the limelight of various media in the West although the group is hardly ever known in its own motherland. The Diplomat correspondent describes the opportunist nature of the group. "With its shadowy past, shifting ideologies and deep pockets, the MEK has been called the most powerful lobby you’ve never heard of," He writes, " It has evolved from killing Americans to courting them — and supporting the Iranian Revolution to becoming its sworn enemy."[3]

Removed from the list of officially designated terrorist organizations in 2012, after an intense multimillion lobbying campaign in which the organization gave donations to Congress and recruited a number of high-profile former officials, the second step for the MKO seems to be pushing the US and its allies particularly Israel towards war with Tehran where the group leaders dream of founding their own dictatorship. "While the depth of the MeK’s funding of this is, like much of their lobbying, strictly off-the-record ,the group appears to still envision itself being the benefactors of US-imposed regime change in Iran, and is willing to pull out all the stops to see to it that diplomacy does not succeed and rapprochement remains impossible,” suggests Jason Ditz.[4]

In order to make such a disastrous dream come true, the MKO has to closely work with Israel . Regarding the MKO-Israeli relations, Dave Seminara asks John Ghazvinian a historian who is working on a book about the history of U.S.-Iranian relations. Ghazvinian thinks the MEK-Israel connection is credible. "The Israelis have a long history of using the MEK as a sort of foil,” the historian said. “In 2002, when the allegations about Iran’s nuclear programs hit the headlines, they were presented to the world as having come from the MEK, but they probably came from Israel. The revelations were handed to the MEK because the Mossad didn’t want to be obvious. Better to present the information as coming from this ‘Iranian opposition group.’ It made it look to the world like it was Iranians blowing the whistle, but that was probably not what happened.”[5]

Although American Neo-cons and other ardent supporters of Israel consider the group up as a possible "democratic" alternative to Islamic Republic, many intellectuals and analysts believe that they are thoroughly misguided. John Ghazvinian told the Diplomat that sponsoring the MKO terrorist cult "could derail sensitive talks with Iran on the nuclear issue ".[6]

John Glasser of Antiwar also criticizes the US double standards towards Terrorism. He warns the former government officials speaking out on behalf of this group against diplomacy with Iran would launch them in " the inevitable war path to Tehran". Glasser refers to the famous White House document in which George W. Bush includes Saddam Hussein’s support for terrorists like MEK in his propaganda justifying the invasion of Iraq: “Iraq shelters terrorist groups including the Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization which has used terrorist violence against Iran and in the 1970s was responsible for killing several US military personnel and US civilians.”[7]

Regardless of all dual approaches of the West towards Iranian nuclear program and the MKO terrorist cult of personality, the group’s support in the West is extremely limited. Moreover and more important is its support inside Iran which is "virtually none" ."The MEK is the one thing that most Iranians of any political persuasion can agree on,” Ghazvinian tells Seminara. “They are viewed as traitors to their country.”[8]

The historical memory of the Iranian people never forgets the atrocities the MKO committed against their own country fellowmen during the years of their serving as Saddam Hussein mercenaries as well as the services they offer Israel.

Human Rights Abuse in the MEK

Gross abuses continue in Mujahedin Khalq Camp

Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO), have been busy seeking to raise the issue of human rights violations in Iran to gain the support of agencies and diplomatic bodies, such as the European Union, the European Parliament, the UN and others to consider it as a credible and real opposition group against

Gross abuses continue in Mujahedin Khalq Camp the IRI. The aim of MKO is to put pressure on IRI through international sanctions and also to gain support of these international organizations in order to show itself as a democratic replacement for Iranian government.

At the same time in a parallel move the group’s high-priced public relations and lobbying firms are hard at work trying to whitewash the MEK’s violent, vicious black trace. Years of lobbying and buying support got the MKO delisted in 2012. However, no longer being considered a terrorist group does not make the MKO democratic, as anyone who has ever studied their internal workers can attest.[1]

Elizabeth Rubin writer of the famous article” The Cult of Rajavi” who visited the Camp Ashraf in 2003 says:” despite its rhetoric, the Mujahedeen operates like any other dictatorship. .. As the historian Abrahamian told me, ”No one can criticize Rajavi.”[2]

Although the illegal multi-million dollar lobby of the group brought it about with some paid advocators, yet the MKO making use of the human rights issues bear no fruit for the group and the things doesn’t go as the group leaders wishes. The human rights issue resulted in the opposite of what they longed for.

US-based Human Rights Watch (HRW) published a report in 2005 on Human Rights abuses taking place within MKO Camps. The report was based on interviews with 12 former members of the group now living in Europe. They alleged abuses ranging from detention, solitary confinement, beatings and torture. [3]

In mid-2009, the Pentagon- Funded Rand Corporation also published a report titled ‘Mujahedin-e Khalq in Iraq: A Policy Conundrum’. The RAND report also reaffirmed the MKO as a cult that abuses its own members.[4]

Jeremiah Goulka who as an analyst with the RAND Corporation was sent to Iraq says: “… I also interviewed former MEK members. As Human Rights Watch also concluded, I saw that the MEK is a cult. It uses brainwashing, sleep deprivation, and forced labor to indoctrinate members.”[5]

The leaders and their supporters of course deny being a cult which abuses members accusing the critics to being either IRI agents or their dupes. However, many outsiders who eye witnessed the affairs of the MKO along with the groups’ former members testimonies evidently prove the harsh abuses MKO practice on its members.

U.N. envoy Martin Kobler several times accused the leaders of Mujahedin Khalq of human rights abuses.[6]

The UNAMI Half Yearly Report on Human Rights also reiterated continuing concerns about human rights abuses committed by the PMOI leadership within Camp Liberty against the residents.[7]

One senior State Department official (now retired), sent to Iraq to interview thousands of MEK members after the invasion, concluded that the organization was a cult; that the weirdly child-free Camp Ashraf was ‘a human tragedy’; that members were ‘misused and misled’ by the leadership; and that many had been tricked into joining[8]

The Rajavis couldn’t hide the true nature of their handmade destructive cult as continued evidences indicate that MKO commits abuses against its own members. The group former members recite their firsthand accounts of abuses taking place in MKO Camps.

More recently an Iraqi physician through a letter to Iraq Human Rights Ministry cited its experiences with the Camp Liberty hunger strikers. The Iraqi physician wrote in his letter the hunger strikers told him that they were forced by the group’s ringleaders to go on hunger strike. They also gave letters to the Iraqi medics to be submitted to due Human Rights bodies and stated their unwillingness to stay with the Cult.[9]

The MKO leaders see their so called organization on the verge of collapse .They have stuck in the limbo of Iraq. The recruitment tricks they applied before doesn’t work anymore and they have problem keeping members as they are fed up with the cult practices and the full of mendacity leaders. The Camp Liberty residents risk everything to escape the cult. The reports suggest the defection of about 70 out of 159 members of the organization who have been transferred to Albania.

So the Rajavis prefer to keep members in Iraq to save their cult rather than relocating them to other countries where they will lose members and consequently their handmade cult.

Besides, allying with the Iranian nation enemies didn’t bring anything good for the MKO as their time has reached the end for their western lords. The West prefer not to disrupt diplomacy with Iran by pleasing a broken cult.

The bitter reality which is difficult for the MKO to come along with is that it has been excluded from the international political spheres.

The cult leaders who are struggling hard to survive do not hesitate to victimize all its members. The international Human Rights bodies should take action, prevent a disaster and save the 3000+ individuals who are trapped behind the bars of a destructive cult of personality. They should also make the Cult leaders accountable for the crimes they have committed against their own members.
