Dena Peace and Freedom Association interviewed a European intellectual on the Cult of Rajavi(MKO/MEK). Ms. Shemeltz who is an expert and scholar on psychotherapy has personal and scientific experience about cults.
As the representative of Dena Peace and Freedom Association, Mr. Mohsen Abbasslou talked with the honorable expert, Ms. Shemeltz.

Mr. Abbasslou: Dear Ms. Shemeltz, as a person who is familiar with the cults and their functions, do you think we should feel pity for Mr. Rajavi?

Ms. Shemeltz: personally, I really feel pity for such a person, I’m so sorry for him.

Mr. Abbasslou : Ms. Shemeltz, I got shocked by your answer. Do you really feel pity for a criminal?

Ms. Shemeltz: yes, it is with a great sorrow that an individual has to commit so many criminal acts in order to please himself and to survive. Yes, I feel pity for Mr. Rajavi and also for his victims.

What makes me upset is that a human being has such capacities and there is no mechanism or practical solution to control him. In the world of business many people like that such individuals exit. Individuals like Massoud Rajavi bring benefits to many and are considered as a source of making a living and achieving benefits.

Rajavi is an example. Anyway, he is a human being. The sufferings he caused to his victims impose pressure on his inner self more than anyone else. It may seem bizarre but people like Rajavi feel the suffering of his victims more than anyone else.

Victims have gone but the pain exists in the sole of Rajavi. Rajavi still feels pain, his pain is more than anyone else because he has victimized hundreds of people and their families. His pain and sufferings are more than anyone else.

Mr. Ababsslou: dear Ms. Shemeltz, I couldn’t get what you exactly mean! Do you mean than MR. Rajavi suffers from his victims’ sufferings?

Ms. Shemeltz: Mr. Rajavi is a miserable person. He cannot see others’ sufferings because his own sufferings are more than anyone else. He is deeply drowned in his tormenting world. He views himself a sun that gives life to the earth. He views himself the centre of the world.

He cannot realize what the origin of this negative feeling is. He is kind of dramatized human being living in a shock. He has always been involved in this shock and cannot get out of it. He is looking for the origin of this shock. He is seriously busy with himself.

Mr. Rajavi has had a good picture in the mirror of the society. He definitely has been a charismatic personality for his followers who have not simply diagnosed his psychotic desease. I guess that so far no one has seriously and deeply investigated or analyzed Mr. Rajavi’s mental problem.

First of all, we should know Mr. Rajavi to know the cult under his control. Understanding people like Mr. Rajavi is a complicated task requiring detailed scientific research and studies. As I said none of the above mentioned theories are precisely right; they are just theories. To suggest an exact argument about Mr. Rajavi, He should be monitored in a treatment center under our control. I wish I could talk to him. I wish he would write his opinions if he read the interview.

Mr. Rajavi is able to move other’s feelings. He can manipulate their feelings and emotions taking them out of normal condition and make them decide and move in favor of his own goals and ideas.

MKO tries to keep its brainwashed members in the group

An independent researcher and political analyst has said the Mujahedin-e Khalq organization (MKO, a.k.a. MEK and PMOI) has turned down the Albania’s asylum offer to keep its strength in numbers and hold over rank and files.

“It is not only the US that is plagued by lobbies. Many high ranking politicians and MPs are under the influence of the pro-Israel lobby who currently support the MEK – and have been doing for many years,” Soraya Sepahpour-Ulrich said during an interview with Habilian Association regarding the MKO ringleader’s presence in European countries’ Parliaments.

Earlier last week, MKO claimed its ringleader has had a meeting with 210 MEPs and they somehow spoke in favor of the group.

Earlier in December 2012, Rajavi appeared in France’s National Assembly and called on the French government to recognize the MKO as representative of Iranian people.

Sepahpour, the Public Diplomacy Scholar said the MKO cult has the support of high ranking politicians in the United States, as they do in Europe.

“The authorities are fully aware of what and who these people are,” she added. “But they serve a purpose – to intimidate the government in Iran and to use them — as they do with other terrorists, not only to create mayhem in Iran – but to carry out false flag operations and be recognized as ‘Iranians’ while shifting the blame to the IRI.”

The political commentator pointed out that there is little will to counter MKO members except by individuals who don’t necessarily have the funds and some who lack the courage to speak out, adding that she has tried to speak about the terrorist group in a couple of her interviews and op-ed pieces.

Concerning the Albania’s resettlement offer to over 200 members of the MKO, Sepahpour mentioned that this country “is in America’s pocket.” “It has received millions upon millions to ‘remake’ itself and to help its economy for over a decade.”

“There is a world of information on US aid to Albania.” “And without a doubt, this ‘aid’ brings with it obligations towards the US – one of which may well have been a demand made on Albania by the US to take in the MEK.”

Finally, she opined on the MKO’s turning down of the offer, and said in order to keep its power and strength, MKO makes every effort to keep its brainwashed and manipulated members in the group, so that they not only keep an eye on each other, but feed each other’s frenzy, and as a unit (group, cult) their obedience to Rajavi remain unquestionable and indisputable.

There are many more factors in the cult behavior which may answer why they turned down Albania’s offer. My guess is, someone high up the ladder told them to decline, and it was not the decision of the individual 200+ members. They want to keep their strength in numbers, and their hold over the members.

Mark Glenn: US, Israel use MKO to conduct terror operations

An analyst says the de-listed terrorist group the MKO is now free from Camp liberty in Iraq to roam the world gathering funds and to be utilized by the US and Israel.

In the background of this Albania has said it is ready to take in some 200 members of the MKO or MEK (Mojahedin-e-Khalq) organization currently residing in US Camp Liberty in Iraq after the Iraqi government requested strongly that the US find another place for them. Albania claims it has accepted the MKO group on ‘humanitarian’ reasons. For years the MKO has been listed as a terrorist group that targets Iran most notably and has been credited with killing some 17,000 Iranians and countless Iraqis. But in 2012 there was a strong push by Western NATO countries to have them de-listed as terrorists even though they have launched terrorist attacks and have killed American officials as well. And so they were de-listed in late 2012 by the Obama administration after this orchestrated campaign.

Press TV has interviewed Mark Glenn, Crescent and Cross Solidarity Movement Idaho about this issue. The following is an approximate transcription of the interview.

Press TV: A terrorist group that even attempted attacks on several American officials and civilians gets de-listed. First of all, why have them de-listed?

Glenn: Let’s be clear about this, they didn’t just attempt to take the lives of several Americans, they actually succeeded in killing several Americans.

To get them de-listed this was a quazi-political and strategic move I believe because I believe it’s the intention of not just the United States government but also of Israel to utilize these very well-trained terrorists to carry out operations around the world.

This is a very difficult thing obviously to accomplish if they’re just sitting there locked up in Iraq in Camp Liberty and in other places.

How much better to de-list them so they can go about raising money around the world, which they are now doing, legally, and at the same time receiving very technically advanced military training so that they can carry out terrorist attacks in Iran or wherever Israel and the United States deem that they should be doing that.

Press TV: Of course, now they get a new home in the Balkans in a NATO member country. Albania has said this was on humanitarian reasons, this move. Was that the case or is it a case that some say is more sinister?

Glenn: I think that it’s more sinister because we have to remember of course that Albania particularly Kosovo is home to the KLA (Kosovo Liberation Army) and they are a particularly murderous group of drug runners and terrorists who would have been utilized for operations around the world.

I think this omens very badly the fact that of all the places that they could be going that they’re going to be going Albania where they may be rubbing shoulders with former members of the KLA.

The kinds of training the KLA receive from NATO and from the United States has been particularly lethal in all sorts of operations – not just terrorism, but drug running as well.

I can perceive the day coming when this is going to come back and bite us in a very serious way. So I tend to agree with you there is something much more sinister here that has nothing to do with humanitarian concerns. There is something big a foot and I think it’s going to end up in a very nasty way.

Rajavi’s childhood should be studied

Mr. Abbaslou: Ms. Shemeltz, imagine that Massoud Rajavi is here with us. What should we do with him? How Rajavi’s childhood should be studied should we deal with him?

Ms. Shemeltz: As I said, if I study the past and present life of Mr. Massoud Rajavi, psychologically, I will make sure that he is a sever psycho. He suffers from narcissism.
He thinks he is the best human being on the earth. He has no emotions for others. He is not committed to any basic moral principles. The laws of the society are not regulated for him. He doesn’t care for laws and people at all.

He views himself as superior to others; he is a God. However, at the bottom of his heart he feels no value for his ego and he lacks enough self-confidence. He has the illusion of an important saint person. He has psychological problems.

If you investigate the past life of people like Mr. Rajavi, you may find out that he has been abused or deprived in his childhood. Of course, these are just likely cases. Rajavi is the only one who knows about it.

To get an exact, detailed knowledge on Massoud Rajavi’s personality and psychological characteristics, you should definitely focus on his past. You should view the environment and his family in which he grew up. You should know how his family treated him as a child. You should search about the environment in which he grew up since his birthday until he turned 3-4 years old. This early age is very crucial because it’s the time when basic psychological behavior forms and they get reinforced during the following ages.

For example, in case of Adolf Hitler, it is believed that he grew up in a violent family atmosphere. He was beaten by his parents. His family life was really tense.

On the other hand, to investigate an individual’s childhood you should be very careful because there are people who suffer a deprived childhood but when grown up they do not turn into criminal adults but they become great people. This is originated in people’s flexibility. This is a very complicated issue that should be studied from various aspects so we shouldn’t only look into the childhood. The person has also the will and power to decide.
Getting back to your question, you asked what we would do if Mr. Rajavi was here. In Europe, there are places where criminal psychos are kept. By the way, in my idea Mr. Masoud Rajavi is a criminal. He should be kept under control forever. He should be tried.

Mr. Abbasslou: why should he be tried?! As you said he suffers from a serious psychological problem, it is fair to try a psycho?!

Ms. Shemeltz: Mr. Rajavi has done criminal acts that he should explain about. Yes, in any case, he should be tried. There are two separate issues. On one hand, Rajavi has been a psychotic and on the other hand he has begun doing criminal acts sinc a time.

Anyway crimes has been carried out, the society should be protected from such people to stop harming others.
If individuals like Mr. Rajavi are left free in the society, they will harm public and the damages can be irreparable. In such a condition, there is no democracy. He is a danger, a great danger.

Mr. Abbaslou: Ms. Shemeltz, as a person who is familiar with functions of the cults, should we feel pity for Mr. Massoud Rajavi?!

Ms. Shemeltz: Personally, I feel pity for such a person. I am so sorry for him.

Mr. Abbaslou: I am shocked by your answer; do you feel pity for a criminal?

Massoud Rajavi suffers from narcissism

Dena Peace and Freedom Association interviewed a European intellectual on the Cult of Rajavi(MKO/MEK). Ms. Shemeltz who is an expert and scholar on psychotherapy, has personal and scientific experience about cults.
As the representative of Dena Peace and Freedom Association, Mr. Mohsen Abbasslou talked with the honorable expert, Ms. Shemeltz.

Mr. Abbaslou: Ms. Shemeltz, most of audiences may want to know how you have such a deep insight on the MKO Cult. They surely want to know more about you.

Ms. Shemeltz: I’d prefer to publicize personal identity only to the extent we have agreed on. I am a researcher and I’d like to do my job without tumult and distracting elements, this way I will achieve my research objectives with more energy and tranquility.

As you know, I have been closely working with cults for years. I even traveled to Africa to live in a cult. That was a precious experience for me. It offered me the opportunity to get to know about cult functions more closely. Mr. Abbaslou, you know the name of that cult and you notice how much it is similar to the MKO. I’d like to compare the Cult of Rajavi with the African cult regarding their structures and functions, in my next investigative project.

All cults in the world follow common rules and they are always headed by a charismatic but actually hypocrite person. Of course each cult has its own characteristics that should be investigated separately.

The issues regarding the MKO should be studied in a large political scope. In my idea, the MKO Cult is not a play ball in hands of others that everyone can use it for his own interests. The leaders of the Cult know it well but intentionally they pretend that their cult is useful and valuable for that person or government.

They play such a role to make others think that their cult is like a ball that everyone can play with in order to achieve his goals. Actually, the MKO itself is active in politics. It hides itself in political crisis and controversies and uses them to survive and to prolong the life of its organization and thus it runs its own policies.

It is a narrow-minded belief to think that the MKO is a victim of other political movements or states. I don’t think so. They are politically active and seek their own interests.

Mr. Abbaslou: Ms. Shemeltz, Imagine that Mr. Massoud Rajavi is here now. What should we do with this man? Should he be executed? Should he be jailed? How should we deal with him?

Ms. Shemeltz: As I said, if I psychologically study Mr. Rajavi’s past and present life and his behavior, I will be sure that he suffers from a severe mental disease. He is suffering from narcissism. He thinks that he is the best person on the earth. He has no feelings for others…

Terrorist organizations are in the job of doing terror. In recent years they have been inside Iran conducting United States uses MKO to spread terror and chaos terrorist activities, bombing up places. The fact that they are Iranians, the fact that their native language is Persian means that they can move in and out of Iran a lot easier than anyone else could and so this would be a continuation of (the United States) using them inside Iran to kill people and blow up buildings.”
An analyst says the recent US, MKO meeting signifies that Washington is trying to use the organization for killings and bombings inside Iran as acts of terrorism are what terrorist groups typically do.

The comment comes as a bipartisan group of US congress members has met with the anti-Iran terrorist group Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) in France.

The congressional team led by Dana Rohrabacher, a California Republican, met the MKO terrorists in Paris on Sunday and expressed strong support for the group. United States uses MKO to spread terror and chaos

The MKO is listed as a terrorist organization by much of the international community.

On September 28, the terrorist group was taken off the US State Department’s terrorism blacklist a week after US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sent the US Congress a classified memo about the move.

Press TV has conducted an interview with Professor of California State University Paul Sheldon Foote to further discuss the issue. What follows is an approximate transcription of the interview.

Press TV: Sir welcome to the program. Well the MKO is well-known for carrying out a long list of terror acts. How do you see the sequence of events that led to Europe and the United States delisting the MKO from their list of terrorist organizations and also about the timing of this meeting in France? United States uses MKO to spread terror and chaos

Foote: The problem America has had for very many years is that the Iraqi government has said you say we are a free country now well why do we have to keep Iranian communists, free terrorists in our land and there have been frequent action for some of the Mujahidin cult terrorists have been killed by Iraqi troops.

So America keeps trying. It’s a real shame that Dana Rohrabacher who claims to be a Republican from Southern California is continued being reelected. It shows you how stupid Republican voters are when you have Republicans supporting communist terrorists.

Press TV: And what do you think the United States has in mind next for the MKO?

Mr. Abbaslou: Ms. Shemeltz can we regard Rajavi’s organization a cult? If yes, why?

Ms. Shemeltz: yes, I consider the MKO as a cult. Its leaders and members think that their ideology is the best of all and only their own ideology is right. This is one of the signs of cults. The other reason is that the member inside the organization cannot realize the true nature of the cult unless he gets out of it.
In a cult-like system, the main decisions are made behind the scenes. The truth is hidden, dark clouds surround the organization. Members can hardly ever see and understand what’s going on beyond these dark clouds.

The reality and the true face of the cult-like organization is only known to a very very few people who are completely trusted by the leader.

The leader of cult exposes his true intentions to those few confident members around him. We can investigate and psychologically, scientifically analyze just a few aspects of the reality and true substance of a cult based on experiences, knowledge and testimonies of its survivors.

We can scientifically analyze Mr. Rajavi’s true personality and intentions only if we can keep him under control and treatment in a clinic. By clinic, I mean that cult leaders usually have evil inner thoughts so they are considered dangerous psychos. We should view them as dangerous lunatic patients.

Such a patient that should be under 24-hour supervision, is now inaccessible . More dangerous is that, besides power and money he has a large number of individuals under his command. This can be very disastrous. Rajavi’s organization is also in line with cults and groups that have inhuman financial resources such as drug smuggling groups, human smuggling groups … If you push away the dark clouds around the cult of Rajavi, you will definitely find signs of these activities. Signs of human smuggling, drug trafficking, money laundry and document forging can be certainly found in the MKO. These activities are some of the ways they use to earn money. As I have studied the cults and have done a lot of research on the issue, I’m sure that the cult of Rajavi is not an exception.

As the representative of Dena Peace and Freedom Association, Mr. Mohsen Abbasslou talked with the honorable expert, Ms. Shemeltz.

Abbasslou: Ms. Shemeltz, many people can hardly believe that an organization or an individual could be able to keep and control thousands of people under the name of struggle in one place for about three decades. Do you think that Rajavi has used an especial formula and method to control members’ minds and bodies?

Ms.Shemeltz: in the MKO, they use an apparently simple but very dangerous formula. Everyone is in the group is told: “You are like brothers and sisters for each other and you should call each other “Brother” or “Sister”.

The other day I saw a sentence on the wall of a mosque. It was written “if your spiritual brother or sister tells you that you are wrong about something, you shouldn’t get upset but you should try to correct your mistake and then thank your brother or sister for the notice."

In a glance, the slogan is a positive one but if you deeply think about it you’ll find out that the slogan is implying that you should supervise your spiritual brother or sister to seek for his or her mistakes. According to the science of behavior such an instruction is considered good for reforming a society but in a particular organization or group especially a religious one, with special goals, it can be very dangerous.

In the Rajavi’s establishment, exactly the same instruction is used in safety measures. Members are told, ”If your brother or sister tells you something or monitors you, you shouldn’t turn sour but you should confirm what you’re told because this is good for your promotion in the organization.”

They are told or they in fact are responsible to watch the comrade next to themselves.
Rajavi has efficiently used the formula. Everyone should watch his comrade. Everyone is monitored by many eyes in everywhere. You are controlled by your organizational brothers and sisters all the time and in all places so the risk of committing organizational mistakes decreases. The organizational formula in the MKO is: to control one person by the one next to him. The formula has been so efficient in the MKO. To the mentioned formula, you should add suppression and violation of private and public space of members by the cult leaders.

The controlling formula is supported by organizational punishment.

Rajavi is an intelligent person on the ground of using contrasts in inhuman way. Using political contrasts in the past and present time, he could build places like Ashraf or Ouver Sur d’Oise to control individuals.

He well recognized political splits and used the challenges and clashes in politics to maintain the structure of his cult. He knows whom to contact with in the world of politics using opportunist and venal politicians.

In my opinion, the leader of Mujahedin cult has recruited a team of these opportunists, venal politicians. He makes deals with them to achieve his organizational and political objectives. It is not difficult to find such sort of people in Europe and the West. Nowadays, such people are numerous.

Maryam Rajavi

Maryam Rajavi not Welcome in Spain

Mr. Ahmadi, (alias) an Iranian national who lives for more than 15 years in Spain with his family, agreed to talk to Mojahedin Monitor; with condition of remaining anonymous. He wants to remain unknown because he believes that MEK is a dangerous group with terrorist activities.

Mojahedin Monitor: In late December 2012, Maryam Rajavi visited Spain. According to MEK website, she performed visits in the Parliament and has done an interview with El Pais. As the first question I would like to know that how was the reaction of Iranian community in Spain about her trip to Madrid?

Mr. Ahmadi: Maryam Rajavi was not welcomed here by the Iranian community. In Spain there are less Iranians than Germany or French but any way no one was there to support her or say welcome. We still consider them as buddies of Saddam and traitors to the mother land. No one has forgotten them killing Iranian soldiers and Kurds.

– Was there any arrangement of visit between Maryam Rajavi and the Iranian community in Spain?
No one here was willing to see her. Even if there was, I am sure that it has been unsuccessful. Someone close to the gang of MEK suggested us to see her and have a dinner with her, but everyone that I know refused…you know … they are notorious and we are not willing to support a bunch of Marxist Islamist.

– But they had a big propaganda that they gained a huge support in the Parliament and in the Media?

– Well any one can rent a room in the Parliament and have a speech there. With the large amounts that they spend I do not wonder that they easily rented a room in Parliament. Plus a notorious Spanish MP supports them. Mr. Vidal Quadras is long known as being in the pay list of MEK and he facilitates for this bandits.

Abbaslou: Ms. Shemeltz! Thank you so much for your time. You are a psychotherapist and once you have lived in a cult in Western Africa so you get precious experience on living in cults. We are so pleased to have you here. You trusted Peace and Freedom Association and declared your readiness to share your ideas and experiences with us. This is an honor for our association.

Ms. Shemeltz! You are well informed about practices of cults. How do you define the MKO or in better words the Cult of Rajavi?

Ms. Shemeltz: I consider the system used in the MKO Cult the same as the system used in North Korean camps. In these camps everything is run by force and aggression. As I know and according to documents I studied on the MEK cult the impact of stalinistic approaches on the MEK is too significant.

For me, the story of the cult of Rajavi is like an unbelievable myth. During the 1970s there were various versions of such organizations but the MKO is very complicated. It does not comply with today world. The MKO members are sort of frozen people.

On the other hand, the leaders of the cult of Mujahedin present themselves as progressive and modern. Their inner reality does not go with the mask they wear outside.

Mr. Abbasslou: as an expert, how do you think the Cult of Rajavi could control and imprison individuals for so many years? How is this psychologically and scientifically feasible?

Ms. Shemeltz: in my opinion, before they enter the organization, people do not know how it works and what its functions are. They arrive in the cult while they know nothing about its internal relations, so they suddenly find themselves imprisoned. I think the MKO takes the members’ common sense.

Members of the cult even can’t go for a walk out of their camp. They have no individual freedom. The cult has taken their entire power for decision making or choosing. The members, held imprisoned in the cult have defined a strategy for themselves to stay alive:

“We obey the organization regulations to stay alive. We have no way out!”
