A few days ago I saw an interview which was made by VOA (VOICE OF AMERICA) a few months ago with MR. ALIREZA JAFARZADEH who is a high ranking officer of the PMOI (Peoples Mojahedin Organization of IRAN) which is listed as a terrorist organization in the USA/CANADA/and EU countries.
MR ALIREZA JAFARZADEH in this interview pointed out many subjects about the quantity and the quality of this organization and stories about ASHRAF garrison. I do not want to take a position about those subjects, but my intention of writing this letter is to reveal and disclose his past, especially while I was in Canada as a student (1980-1986) and he was one of the PMOI’S top operatives in the USA and CANADA.
MR ALIREZA JAFARZADEH is currently living in the USA and he is working for FOX News as an analyst of foreign affairs. I would like to draw your attention to the following surprising facts which are all truth about MR. ALIREZA JAFARZADEH.
He was in charge of recruiting Iranian people and members of the Moslem Iranian Students’ Society (MISS) in USA and CANADA and sending them to IRAQ to join the NLA (National Liberation Army of IRAN). I was one of the people who was recruited by him and he made a fake contract to send me to IRAQ just for THREE months, but I found out in IRAQ that whatever he said was completely a lie and there was no return. MR ALIREZA JAFARZADEH is a crook and he took advantage of my compassion toward the IRANIAN people and deployed me and others to IRAQ to become members of that criminal and terrorist organization. MR ALIREZA JAFARZADEH is a criminal who recruited many people and sent them to IRAQ to participate and be killed in terrorist missions which were orchestrated and carried out by the PMOI, for instance MR.MOHAMMAD ALI GHEYSIZADEH who was recruited, dispatched and sent to IRAQ in 1986 by MR. ALIREZA JAFARZADEH, was killed in the military operation named ETERNAL LIGHT (FOROGHEH JAVIDAN) in 1988. He and I were dispatched and deployed from CANADA to IRAQ with three others in 1986.
MR ALIREZA JAFARZADEH who has disguised himself as an expert and analyst in FOX NEWS also smuggled the PMOI’s agents from CANADA to the USA or vice versa through the 1980s. MR ALIREZA JAFARZADEH also smuggled one of the high ranking officers of PMOI, MRS. AZADEH REZAIE, to Canada from the USA in 1983. She traveled illegally from FRANCE to the USA with a fake identity and fake passport. After carrying out her mission in the USA, which was collecting money for buying guns and ammunition and sending more people to IRAQ, she was smuggled to CANADA by MR. ALIREZA JAFARZADEH. She came to the USA and CANADA to help MR. ALIREZA JAFARZADEH to deceive more people for sending them to IRAQ and also used her influence as a top woman commander on the ground to gather more money for terrorist activities. She couldn’t stay in CANADA because the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) and the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) were looking for her on suspicion of smuggling drugs, so she escaped from CANADA to FRANCE. MRS. AZADEH REZAIE who is currently one of the leading council members of the PMOI, is the sister of REZA REZAIE who had a key role in the assassination of the American Colonel HAWKINS, in the 70s in TEHRAN.
In the 80s, the USA was divided into four sections by the PMOI, NORTH, SOUTH, EAST and WEST, and each section had its own PMOI headquarters. Each section was under the supervision and control of the PMOI’s top operatives. MR. ALIREZA JAFARZADEH was in charge of the western section, and CANADA. MR. ABOLGHASEM REZAIEE (MOHSEN) WAS IN CHARGE OF ALL FOUR SECTIONS AS A WHOLE. MR. ABOLGHASEM REZAIEE was connected to the PMOI’s PARIS head quarters and to MR. MASOUD RAJAVI directly. All those sections were gathering money in the name and favor of charities for helping the PMOI’s orphans, to buy guns, ammunition and transmitters for the PMOI’s combatants in IRAQ. One of those fake charity organizations was IRF (IRAN RELIEF FOUND) in Canada which was under the supervision of MR. ALIREZA JAFARZADEH and all the money which was gathered in the name of this charity was transferred to IRAQ for military purposes and missions.
The American authorities and the distinguished and prominent director of FOX News should be aware of such a terrorist trafficker and smuggler in their news channel who ruins the credibility and trustworthiness of their honorable news channel which is watched by millions of people in the USA and throughout the world everyday. I had seen MR. ALIREZA JAFARZADEH in the PMOI garrisons in IRAQ many times till the fall of SADDAM HOSSEIN. He had been coming to IRAQ to participate in special gatherings and sessions which were to inform high ranking officers of the PMOI directly by the PMOI’s leaders for their next missions in foreign countries such as the USA, CANADA, and European countries. He holds the highest PMOI organizational rank and unfortunately he has been propagandizing in favor of his terrorist cult for decades in the USA.
I would like to inform and notify the government of the USA and the FBI that this man is very dangerous and unfortunately he has taken advantage of your democracy and freedom and he has penetrated and infiltrated in one of your most important places (FOX News) and unfortunately he has deceived some of the American authorities in his own way. You are dealing with someone who was happy, joyful and content when he heard about 9/11 in BAGHERZADEH garrison, in IRAQ. You are dealing with someone who had smuggled lots of PMOI terrorists between the USA and CANADA and you are dealing with an imposter who was in charge of deceiving people and sending them to IRAQ to participate and be killed in terrorist missions. He has lots of dark spots in his organizational activities in the USA and CANADA. He is still a top agent of the terrorist cult, PMOI, in the USA.
I as a victim of this terrorist organization urge the honorable director of FOX NEWS to revise in your decision. Sack and expel him from your distinguished news channel as soon as possible. I urge the FBI and the RCMP to review his activities in the past in the USA, and Canada.
A VICTIM OF A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION (PMOI)

Open Letter to Mr. Mirek Topolánek, President of the Council of Europe
Honorable President of the European Council, Mr. Mirek Topolánek,
We have the honor to inform you that we, the separated members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) who have taken shelter in the European states, have been informed by authentic sources that the European Council will consider and verify the terrorist groups’ list very soon. As far as we know, the European Council intends to remove the name of the PMOI from the present terrorist list as indexed. Whereas, we, the former members of this organization are the direct and ipso facto victims of this cult’s terrorist and cultic activities, so that we have witnessed the crimes of this cult. Therefore, we feel responsibility and it is our human duty to express our humane views in the framework of the democratic regulations of the European Council regarding accurate and effective decision-making with the intention of serving and helping the states of Europe and human beings, in particular, the victims and the caged captives of the Ashraf Garrison in Iraq.
1- We, the emancipated victims of the Mojahedin cult will be pleased and appreciative as we admire Europe’s honest representatives, if the elimination of this sect from the terrorist groups’ list will result in the emancipation and freedom of the incarcerated victims of this cult in the Ashraf Garrison in Iraq. As a result, the locked gate of Ashraf Garrison can be breached and opened for the locked up victims so that the innocent victims can have the right and opportunity to leave Ashraf Garrison and settle down in the European states. Undoubtedly, such an effective step via the European Council can accelerate the rising trend of the eradication of this cult. Subsequently, we, the separated members and the public opinion of the West will welcome the European Council’s decision.
2- We, the liberated victims of this cult declare our opposition versus any political deal and action, which means that this cult shouldn’t be used as a political tool by Europe in the regional balance of power. As a result of such policy, the leaders and key officials of this cult are allowed to have opportunities and facilities such as free trips with the intention of achieving their cultic and terrorist purposes in European countries. Without any doubt, we, the emancipated victims of this cult are the prime victims of such political deals whose lives are at the direct and short range targets of terrorists via this cult in the European states. Meanwhile, the Mojahedin’s cult leadership takes advantage of such conditions to prolong the present impasse situation in Ashraf Garrison in Iraq to confine over three thousand innocent victims in custody in Ashraf Garrison.
Yours truly

Honorable Ambassador of Germany in Sweden
Your Excellency!
With regards, I wish to inform you that the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) has released news concerning the trip of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi to Germany in its entire media system.
You surely are aware that the MKO is in the list of terrorist groups in the United States, Canada and the European Union for murdering the people of Iran as well as the people of Iraq. Mrs. Maryam Rajavi also has a legal file open in France for conducting terrorism and organizing crimes as well and fraud and money laundry.
My question is that how such person who is leading a terrorist destructive cult is allowed to freely travel to your democratic country.
I must emphasize that I am a former member of the MKO who is now objecting to supporting a terrorist leader.
My name is Sho’le Shadrm. I am 42 years old, and I am living in Sweden now for 14 years. I unfortunately lost 7 years of my life with the MKO in Iraq. As soon as I criticized the organization and tried to question the cult leader Massoud Rajavi and his wife Maryam, I was subject to all sorts of insults and assaults and I was put under sever mental pressure and I even was jailed. You can imagine that what sort of a place an Iraqi jail under Saddam Hussein can be. I was condemned by the MKO like many others who had criticized the leadership, and we were handed over to the Iraqi security officers to suffer our lives. They hoped that by doing so we would regret and plead for mercy and go back to the MKO again. But most of us resisted against difficulties and I finally managed to come to Sweden. I am now living with my Swedish husband and our four children. But I must point out that I still suffer from the reminiscences of the days I spent with the cult in Iraq.
Your Honor!
Wouldn’t it be appropriate if Mrs. Maryam Rajavi is asked about all the miseries that hundreds of individuals like me had to experience just because they wanted to leave the MKO? For what reason the most basic human rights was deprived of me and many others like me? I suggest you read the report released by the Human Rights Watch on May 2005. You would realize for yourself that how the most preliminary human rights was systematically abused inside the MKO. In this report cases such as solitary confinements, torture, and even murdering the opponents and critics have clearly been mentioned.
Regardless of all political affairs which could perhaps be the main reason for the German support of the MKO and the Rajavis, shouldn’t some attention be paid to the systematic violation of human rights within this organization? Wouldn’t be better if the German parliamentarians asked Mrs. Rajavi about the harsh situation of the children of the members and castrating the women? Shouldn’t she be asked about compulsory divorces, abandoning the children, mind manipulation of the members, and rejecting family members inside the organization? Could political interests be an excuse to close eyes on violation of human rights?
I am anxiously looking forward to receiving a reply from you
Best Wishes

Dear Mr. Bernard Kushner,
The esteemed Foreign Minister- the Republic of France
I wish to thank you for your recent statement on the Iranian group- PMOI
As you are aware, I have known this group up close for years and continue to monitor its activities on a daily basis.
You are correct in your recent assessment of the terrorist nature of the PMOI. This group has never denounced violence and terrorism in its Persian publications; and indeed continues to endorse and promote them. The recent unclassified reports by the group’s own former members do support our existing knowledge of the group and its nature. PMOI is a dangerous cult that naturally deserves to remain in the EU terror list. NCRI is just an alias for the PMOI under which it continues to operate in the EU. In 2004 the US State Department realised this and banned both entities. I hope that the Republic of France would lead the efforts to do the same for the EU, so that PMOI would not continue to ridicule our democratic values.
Happy New Year

Dear Honourable Prime Minister of Iraq, Mr. Nori Maleki,
With our best greetings to you , your government and the people of IRAQ .We , as a delegation of the separated people from PMOI ( PEOPLE MOJAHEDINS’ ORGANIZATION OF IRAN ) who submitted a letter on behalf of thousands innocent people in NOTORIOUS ASHRAF GARRISON, which was addressed to you, to IRAQ -Embassy in PARIS few months ago , and in this letter we urged you ,as the prime minister – elect of IRAQ to help the innocent people who have been stranded and stuck and treated like captives in RAJAVI’S cult in notorious ASHRAF GARRISON In IRAQ for decades to find an opportunity to separate from the RAJAVI’S cult and start over their new life in free world.
TODAY, fortunately we found out that an honorable IRAQI delegation with honorable MR. MOVAFAGH ALRABIEE, as the head of this delegation, entered ASHRAF GARRISON in IRAQ and officially declared the shutting down of this notorious garrison in the near future.
We, as the victims of this notorious and nefarious cult, would like to thank you and your honorable delegation that carried out such a humanitarian act which is the most fundamental and substantial step to help those who are stranded and captivated in this cult to breathe the fresh air of freedom after decades . We believe shutting down of this notorious garrison (ASHRAF) will help our friends who are captives in it, to rescue themselves from their captors and decide for their own life in free atmosphere without the intervention of the cult’s cruel leaders, operatives and governing council of this inhumane cult.
We would like to thank you again for your endeavors to shut down ASHRAF GARRISON. We hope all the innocent people who are stranded in this terrorist cult will be released from the RAJAVI’s cult clutch in very near future and start over their normal life in free and democratic countries, which have been deprived of it for decades.

Your Excellency,
We would like to inform you that the terrorists of Mujahedin Khalq Organization, according to their cult-like practices, are systematically insulting their dissidents calling them as traitors and mercenaries.
The families, whose names are attached to the letter, have relatives in Camp Ashraf, Iraq. They have always complained against MKO leaders who do not allow them to leave the cult and to contact their families. Instead of answering these demands, the MKO leaders insult the families with indecent words like “animals”.
In their TV show called File (Parvande), the MKO tries to make its audience believe that all those who attend Nejat Society’s gathering in front of British Embassy to protest against the removal of MKO from the terrorist list, in order to prevent their children from being abused by the cult, are the agents of Iranian regime. As your Excellency has enough information on cult practices, you would agree that this is the popular method used by all cults that consider themselves as superior to the society and are prepared to revenge from us and our beloved ones in Camp Ashraf.
We hope that the humanitarian efforts of you and your colleagues in Iraq will pave the way for the release of our children from Rajavi’s camp. We are definitely sure that their freedom is only feasible by reviving their individuality and family relations. The insults made by MKO will not influence the determination of the families to liberate their children.

Iranians’ Letter to The Secretary-General of the United Nations on Britain’s recent decision
Your Excellency, Mr. Ban Ki Moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations
Since with certainty terrorism deprives individual right to life, freedom and security of people, and because of this it can be said that terrorism is the violation of human rights.
Since acts of terrorism are clear violations of United Nations principles and objectives, and a serious threat against international peace and security, and to-date over 10 conventions have been ratified for the prevention and fight against terrorism, and also there is a collective of international documents according to which commits states to fight terrorism.
In a political move, the British High Court’s decision, the terrorist label was wiped from the Mujahedin Kalgh Organization (MKO). The same organization that shed the blood of many Iranians, and began a form of new genocide in Iran and Iraq, and as a paramilitary group, committed the worst types of terror attacks in the form of bombing public places and political party headquarters, killing of women and children, assassination of the intelligencia of the civil society, all of which have been embedded in our memories as equal crimes committed by the Khmer Rouge. The decision of this Court has taken the name of a group from the list of terror groups, which the international community recognizes as a terror group.
The thing that exists in this Court’s reasoning and which amazes experts is that all the information that the Court had based on its decision, only dated back to four years at the most, to a time when under pressure from the US-led Coalition the group were disarmed in Iraq. The question that arises is, can a terrorist group who was disarmed and quarantined by the United States following the fall of Saddam Hussein, still conduct armed terror attacks?
Can the reasoning that because the group has not committed any terror acts in this period of four years, have a legal and contextual aspect?
Can the past record and history of terror campaigns of this group be ignored just because the group was forced to disarm? And this is while no clear changes have been made in the MKO’s original manifesto, and in their training and in the media the group still stresses on the correct strategy being armed campaigns.
As the citizens of a country that for years has been suffering the inhuman and barbaric campaigns of the MKO, we call upon the international community and the UN System as the flag-bearer of human and humanitarian rights to within your capacities to review the situation of this terror group, and the new and dangerous decisions that have been made.
We also call upon the British government to carefully consider the recognized dark past of MKO and the dangerous consequences of the High Court’s decision regarding the activities of this group in Britain, and to review the hasty decision of the High Court and prevent the certain consequences form occurring. Because from this moment on whatever acts of terror this group commit, the responsibility will be that of the British government.
Since your Excellency have executive responsibility for the UN Charter and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the UN is a place for the investigation of the aggression and oppression committed by states and powers against humans, and also the UN supports asylum-seekers and victims of violence, we ask you to set up a group to study and review the reason behind the British government’s decision to support a group that has a long history of terrorist activities?
Undoubtedly, your investigation and the British government’s answer will remain in the historic memory of our nation.

Obama’s opportunity to change America’s reputation by closing Terrorist Camp Ashraf in Iraq
Open Letter to President-elect Barak Obama
With your election, a new administration now has the opportunity to revisit US-Iran relations and come up with new ideas and policies. No doubt you have already been inundated with advice and lobbying on this issue.
We make no apology for adding our voice on the subject of the Iranian terrorist organisation Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK) – a group which will no doubt be lobbying your administration on its own behalf. The members of this group, in particular its 3000+ uniformed militants in Iraq, are the victims of deception and human rights abuses and this issue, small as it is, needs urgent attention.
The MEK’s fundamental message to your administration will be that it is the largest, most popular, pro-democratic, opposition group and that only this group can effect change in Iran. To expose the falsity of this claim we only need refer you to the investigations of the last two US administrations, one Democratic under Bill Clinton and the other Republican under George W Bush, into this group, and the most recent Country Report into terrorism which describes the MKO as a terrorist cult.
Unfortunately, in spite of this, various sectors of the US political body have been willing to employ this group as a means of confrontation with Iran. This artificial support has promoted the group far beyond its real power and efficacy and has sadly stunted the growth of real and effective opposition to the current Iranian government. It has also given ‘permission’ to the group’s leaders to continue holding the members against their will and in conditions sustained by systematic human rights abuses.
America’s interests have not been served by uncritically succumbing to the mendacious influence of MEK propaganda. Western public and political opinion have been deceived for years as to the reality of Iranian society and politics by this group. The MEK does everything in its power to prevent contact and dialogue with Iranian civil society lest its lies and exaggerations be exposed.
In specific examples, the myth created by the MEK that it is useful in providing intelligence has exposed the American intelligence services to accusations of naïvety and/or ignorance. Such uncritical – perhaps gullible – reactions to the MEK’s revelations are exposed by the recent unwarranted arrest of Iranian civil contractor, Nader Qorbani, at Baghdad airport and making spurious accusations against him based on MEK ‘intelligence’. The knee-jerk reaction of US Homeland Security to false allegations against individuals is another example which evokes scorn among European observers.
In the wider sense, efforts to progress western interests in relation to Iran have been frustrated as the IAEA has been sidetracked into wasting time and effort investigating false information provided by the MEK for political purposes. That is, to serve the MEK’s self-survival interests.
However, the worst aspect of artificial, improper American support for this terrorist cult has been that the US army has preserved and protected its military headquarters, Camp Ashraf, in Iraq for five years. Iraqis consider Camp Ashraf to be a Saddamist stronghold and the MEK inside it as a danger to national security. Iraq’s government has repeatedly demanded that the US army help to remove all foreign terrorist groups from its territory as being directly against Iraq’s national interests.
In January 2008 SAHAR Family Foundation was established through the auspices of the Iraqi government, academics and human rights organisations and a plan was provided to the US army to deal with Camp Ashraf and help free its residents. The US army did not cooperate. This led Iraqi government officials relevant to this issue to the inescapable conclusion that the US army unit protecting Camp Ashraf has been taking its orders from MEK terrorist leaders rather than Washington.
Beyond security or political issues, behind the closed doors of Camp Ashraf a scandalous situation of systematic human rights abuses has been perpetuated under the auspices of American protection.
When the Camp Ashraf scandal is fully exposed, America herself will be spotlighted as responsible for ongoing, preventable human rights abuses conducted inside the camp by MEK officials against their own members. Allegations of forced hysterectomies for women members, mental and physical torture and even murder of inmates of the camp must be investigated.
The base is vital to the cult for the ongoing ideological indoctrination and manipulation of members. For this reason the MEK leaders are lobbying hard in America for continued US protection of Camp Ashraf and for the members to remain in Iraq. The MEK claim that Iraq will forcibly hand over its members to Iran. This has never been on the table and is in fact a ploy by the cult to divert attention away from what is happening inside the camp.
A humanitarian solution is available. How to resolve the situation is not a mystery, nor is it difficult or dangerous for the people in the camp.
The straightforward answer is to have the door of Camp Ashraf opened up to external agencies and individuals. Control of the camp should not be with MEK leaders but with the UNHCR, ICRC and the Iraqi Red Crescent.
As a priority the camp should be opened to families and relatives of those detained there. Doctors and human rights investigators need unfettered access to individuals. Those who choose to leave must be offered a safe refuge.
Under your leadership, America can make an immediate difference to US-Iraq relations by dismantling this terrorist base rather than continuing with double-standards by supporting those terrorist groups which are erroneously perceived by some to be ‘helpful’ to American interests.
While confident of the good intentions of your new administration to act on thorough investigation into the facts of this issue, we are ready to provide further information if needed.
Yours sincerely

Tobias Pflüger: PMOI Members are no ‘freedom fighters’
Letter to the Members of European Parliament concerning the People’s Mujahideen of Iran (PMOI)
Dear colleagues,
The United Kingdom recently decided to remove the People’s Mujahideen of Iran (PMOI)* from the list of banned terrorist groups following a court ruling.
We warn against the misunderstanding that the court’s order to remove the PMOI from the terrorist list accords the PMOI democratic legitimacy and credentials as political opposition to the ruling Iranian regime. Moreover, their claim to be the only legitimate opposition rather proves their own totalitarian approach.
The PMOI is an organisation which according to information from many different sources has degenerated over time from a political movement combining Marxist and Islamic elements into a psycho-sect with a history of heavy brainwashing and repression of its members. The Rajavi couple rules the organisation in a totalitarian style combined with an elaborate personality cult. According to Human Rights Watch and a number of ex-members – some of which testified in a meeting of the Iran delegation last year -, dissident members "were tortured, beaten and held in solitary confinement for years at military camps in Iraq after they criticized the group’s policies and undemocratic practices, or indicated that they planned to leave the organization." Some were even sent to Abu Ghraib in order to be tortured by Saddam Hussein’s security forces. According to Human Rights Watch, even deaths have been reported. Married couples were forced to divorce, children were separated from their parents against their will in order to be sent off into orphanages or foster families in Europe and the US.
The PMOI members are no ‘freedom fighters’. It is not the democratic, pluralistic, egalitarian, reform-oriented organisation, as which it presents itself. Within today’s Iran, it does not play any role as a serious opposition force. For the Iranian public, the Mudjahedeen have discredited themselves completely due to their internal organisation but also due to their collaboration with Saddam Hussein in the war against Iran. The lack of democracy is not in doubt and we do not need this group for confirmation.
We urge all members of the European Parliament who are engaged for a more democratic Iran to be extremely circumspect and cautious vis-à-vis this group.
Sincerely Yours

* The Iranian abbreviation Mujahideen-y-Khalq (MKO) is equally used.
PMOI /MKO still remain on the EU and US terrorist lists, while the National Council of Resistance (NCR), basically a cover up organisation for the PMOI, is only on the US terrorist list and not on the European one.

Dear Sir,
I read about your recent unofficial trip to the infamous Camp Ashraf garrison which houses the remains of the Mojahedin Khalq terrorist organisation.
Of course, as Vice-President of the European Parliament, I was surprised that I did not hear of your visit from Iraqi government officials. Perhaps you did not see the need to discuss your concerns about this foreign terrorist entity with the legitimate government of the country you were visiting. Unfortunately, the unofficial nature of your visit to this terrorist group aligns you with the remains of the Saddam regime in Iraq.
I also read the open letter sent to your good self from Sahar Foundation in Baghdad – I have the honour to have been involved in its creation in Iraq earlier this year to save the victims of this terrorist cult.
Dear Sir,
The letter sent to you by Sahar Foundation needs no further elaboration but it is worth reminding your good self that the government of Iraq (with which I am now in regular contact and consultation) regards the group in which you have such an interest as part and parcel of Saddam’s repressive army and therefore is adamant to expel them from their country. The Iraqi government sees no benefit or in fact obligation to assist a part of Saddam’s private army who are neither Iraqis nor civilians. You must surely agree that these people cannot remain in Iraq. The American army will soon hand over the security of Diyali province to the Iraqi government which has pledged to remove the group from the country.
You visited the camp without any human rights organisation representative accompanying your good self. You visited the camp without any official from the government of Iraq and you visited the camp without even investigating the allegations as to what is really going on behind its closed doors. Whatever your intention, yours was certainly not a visit to investigate allegations of widespread, unnecessary hysterectomies performed on women in the camp, otherwise you would have taken the trouble of asking a couple of physicians to accompany you. You even failed to take an independent translator with you (or did the cult leaders deny entry to independent people?)
Dear Sir,
The least you could have done was to take with you a couple of the many hundreds of parents who have not been allowed to see their children for the last 25 years. Or, you could have asked for telephone lines to be installed to contact the people inside the camp.
Dear Mr Vidal-Quadras,
Did you not notice that the camp has no children inside? Did you not think that this is because the cult leader has banned marriage and family relations? Did you not notice that the citizens of "Ashraf City" wear uniforms and do not see "Rejection of Violence" as contradictory with "military training"? Did you not notice that all the people who were allowed to get near you were saying the same thing and acting the same way? Dear Sir, you are a politician. Surely you know better than anyone that if you have 10 people who wear the same uniform, say the same thing, laugh at the same time and shout at the same time, there must be a dictating force behind them.
And did you not see that the "city" you visited had no nursery, no shops, no school, no cinema, no marriage registry office, no public phone box, no post office, no….
Dear Sir, I really think you should visit the camp again, and this time I offer my services to accompany your good self. After all, I don’t think that they have taken you to see the anti-nuclear Leadership compound which was built as a gift to Massoud Rajavi by Saddam Hussein, I am sure they have not let you visit the "Exit" section of the camp where over 300 people who refuse to take military orders are imprisoned by the cult.
Dear Sir,
Immediately after the invasion of Iraq in March 2003, Massoud Rajavi, guru of the Mojahedin Khalq cult, went into hiding. After three years incommunicado, a statement was issued in 2006 in his name. In it Rajavi announced his timescale for toppling the Iranian regime: "in the next two years". Little attention was given at the time. Rajavi has made this kind of claim frequently over the past 30 years without effect.
Information from inside the cult, however, indicates that the specific deadline of January 2009 is part of a more sinister plan by the cult leaders. Following the announcement of this date, every member was required to sign a piece of paper giving their oath that they will not leave the cult until January 2009 – by which time, according to Rajavi, the regime must be toppled.
Rajavi’s message states that when the deadline of January 2009 arrives: ‘anyone who wants to can leave, and I will myself throw out all the useless ones. I will keep the rest who are pure, and I will tell them then what they have to do for me’. Experts on the MKO’s cult jargon interpret this as Rajavi’s intention to have his followers ‘wreak havoc’; the most predictable scenarios being mass suicide in Camp Ashraf and/or attacks on external interests with suicidal intensity in other parts of the world where the MKO cult has bases. That is, the ‘pure’ MKO operatives will kill all Rajavi’s opponents in Europe and then kill themselves.
The 2006 US State Department Country Reports on Terrorism, which describes the Mojahedin as a terrorist entity with cult-like characteristics, warned: "Many MEK leaders and operatives, however, remain at large, and the number of at-large MEK operatives who received weapons and bomb-making instruction from Saddam Hussein’s regime remains a source of significant concern."
Our friends who have managed to escape for the camp during the last 5 years are deeply worried about yet another series of self-immolations or even suicide operations like the ones carried out by order of the cult leaders as recently as 2003.
We are deeply concerned that with the elapse of the deadline of January 2009 as Massoud Rajavi has promised, the remaining people will be forced into mass suicide and or mass murder of the ones who do not obey Rajavi anymore.
Sir, as someone who has access to the cult leaders, as someone who now has access to the inside of the camp, and as someone who has the ability and the power to make a difference, I urge you to help us to:
1- Open the gates of this camp ASAP to human rights organization representatives, in particular to independent physicians and psychologists.
2- Open the gates of this camp to the immediate families of people inside, some of whom have not seen their loved ones for over two decades.
3- Arrange a place of refuge (to replace the TIPF) for the ones who do not wish to continue serving the leaders of a terrorist cult so that they could run away from the hands of the Camp leaders.
4- Facilitate the transfer of all the people in the camp from Iraq to the safety of European countries where they can be rehabilitated and re integrated into normal societies.
Preliminary to a return visit, I would like to meet with you and bring to your attention some basic facts and information concerning Camp Ashraf and to discuss with you the Iraqi government’s position toward the group which you apparently failed to ascertain whilst visiting their country.
