Iran lashes out at West for supporting MKO terror group

Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi has lashed out at the Western countries over their support for the anti-Iran, terrorist group of Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO).

Brigadier General Vahidi told IRNA on Wednesday that the MKO has been created through the support of certain Western countries.

"The continuation of the MKO’s presence in Iraq to go on with terrorist activities has grown so important [for the West] that they now stress the persistence of such presence,” the Iranian defense minister pointed out.

He also said the fact that the MKO carries out its activities in the Western countries demonstrates the West’s support for terrorism.

Western countries are overtly seeking to maintain the terrorist activities of the MKO, and all their efforts are intended for that purpose, he said.

A prominent American investigative journalist recently said the former US administration supported the terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) by training its members at a secret site in Nevada.

“The site, some 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, was once used for nuclear testing, and now includes a counterintelligence training facility and a private airport capable of handling Boeing 737 aircraft,” Seymour Hersh wrote in an article published in The New Yorker online weekly magazine on April 5.

“It was here that the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) conducted training, beginning in 2005, for members of the Mojahedin-e Khalq,” he added.

The American journalist went on to say that a former US intelligence official had told him that the administration of George W. Bush began providing MKO agents with training in Nevada in 2005.

“’We did train them here, and washed them through the Energy Department because the DOE (Department of Energy) owns all this land in southern Nevada,’ a former senior American intelligence official told me. ‘We were deploying them over long distances in the desert and mountains, and building their capacity in communications-coordinating … is a big deal,’” he wrote.

He further noted that MKO members were trained in areas geographically similar to those in “northwest Iran.”

The MKO fled to Iraq in 1986, where it enjoyed the support of Iraq’s executed dictator Saddam Hussein, and set up its camp near the Iranian border.

The group is also known to have cooperated with Saddam in suppressing the 1991 uprisings in southern Iraq and the massacre of Iraqi Kurds. The group has carried out numerous acts of violence against Iranian civilians and government officials.

Iran has repeatedly called on the Iraqi government to expel the group, but the US has attempted to block the expulsion by mounting pressure on the Iraqi government.

Confirmed: Terrorist Organization Trained on US Soil by US Military

Ynetnews reported in their article, “US operated deep in Iran, trained assassins,” that, “the New Yorker reported over the weekend that the US trained members of the Iranian opposition group Mujahideen-e-Khalq. According to previous reports, Israel has been cooperating with the group, which allegedly carried out hits on Iranian nuclear scientists.” Ynetnews also reported that US officials doubt Iran is or will be developing nuclear weapons, as has been claimed to justify years of sanctions, covert subversion, terrorism, and unprovoked attacks by the West against Iran.

It appears that not only Israel, but the US in tandem with Mossad have been training, arming, financing, harboring, and directing the US State Department-listed foreign terror organization (#29) Mujahideen-e-Khalq (MEK) since as early as 2005 where MEK terrorists were brought to Las Vegas, Nevada to train. The April 2012 New Yorker article, “Our Men in Iran?” by Seymour Hersh, elaborates in detail how the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) trained a listed terrorist organization on US soil before sending them back to Iran with weapons and money to carry out “anti-regime terrorist activities.” MEK is suspected to be behind a rash of assassinations targeting Iranian scientists, as well as handling patsies in a string of international bombings US and Israeli officials attempted to pin on Iran.

And while MEK’s representatives, including a growing lobby in Washington D.C. consisting of some of the most disingenuous supporters of the “War on Terror,” including Rudy Giuliani, former US Marine Commandant General James Jones, Tom Ridge, and Lee Hamilton, claim MEK has renounced “terror,” the entire purpose of training them, funding them, and getting them removed from the US State Department “Foreign Terrorist Organization” list is to allow them to carry out a wider campaign of violence against the Iranian people with even greater US support. In essence – to support terror on an unprecedented scale.

This is stated in US policy think-tank Brookings Institution’s “Which Path to Persia?” report published in 2009 which stated (emphasis added):

“Perhaps the most prominent (and certainly the most controversial) opposition group that has attracted attention as a potential U.S. proxy is the NCRI (National Council of Resistance of Iran), the political movement established by the MEK (Mujahedin-e Khalq). Critics believe the group to be undemocratic and unpopular, and indeed anti-American.

In contrast, the group’s champions contend that the movement’s long-standing opposition to the Iranian regime and record of successful attacks on and intelligence-gathering operations against the regime make it worthy of U.S. support. They also argue that the group is no longer anti-American and question the merit of earlier accusations. Raymond Tanter, one of the group’s supporters in the United States, contends that the MEK and the NCRI are allies for regime change in Tehran and also act as a useful proxy for gathering intelligence. The MEK’s greatest intelligence coup was the provision of intelligence in 2002 that led to the discovery of a secret site in Iran for enriching uranium.

Despite its defenders’ claims, the MEK remains on the U.S. government list of foreign terrorist organizations. In the 1970s, the group killed three U.S. officers and three civilian contractors in Iran. During the 1979-1980 hostage crisis, the group praised the decision to take America hostages and Elaine Sciolino reported that while group leaders publicly condemned the 9/11 attacks, within the group celebrations were widespread.

Undeniably, the group has conducted terrorist attacks—often excused by the MEK’s advocates because they are directed against the Iranian government. For example, in 1981, the group bombed the headquarters of the Islamic Republic Party, which was then the clerical leadership’s main political organization, killing an estimated 70 senior officials. More recently, the group has claimed credit for over a dozen mortar attacks, assassinations, and other assaults on Iranian civilian and military targets between 1998 and 2001. At the very least, to work more closely with the group (at least in an overt manner), Washington would need to remove it from the list of foreign terrorist organizations.”

Clearly the United States, its policy makers, and “elected representatives” are well aware that MEK was, and still is a terrorist organization, targeting not only military and political targets in Iran, but civilian targets as well. The indefensible excuse being used now, is that MEK’s terrorist activities are only being directed at the people of Iran, not the West, therefore it is somehow justifiable.

MEK has carried out decades of brutal terrorist attacks, assassinations, and espionage against the Iranian government and its people, as well as targeting Americans including the attempted kidnapping of US Ambassador Douglas MacArthur II, the attempted assassination of USAF Brigadier General Harold Price, the successful assassination of Lieutenant Colonel Louis Lee Hawkins, the double assassinations of Colonel Paul Shaffer and Lieutenant Colonel Jack Turner, and the successful ambush and killing of American Rockwell International employees William Cottrell, Donald Smith, and Robert Krongard.

Admissions to the deaths of the Rockwell International employees can be found within a report written by former US State Department and Department of Defense official Lincoln Bloomfield Jr. on behalf of the lobbying firm Akin Gump in an attempt to dismiss concerns over MEK’s violent past and how it connects to its current campaign of armed terror – a true testament to the depths of depravity from which Washington and London lobbyists operate.

MEK today is described by Council on Foreign Relations Senior Fellow Ray Takeyh (who was attempting to defend MEK) as a “cult-like organization” with “totalitarian tendencies.” While Takeyh fails to expand on what he meant by “cult-like” and “totalitarian,” an interview with US State Department-run Radio Free Europe-Radio Liberty reported that a MEK Camp Ashraf escapee claimed the terrorist organization bans marriage, using radios, the Internet, and holds many members against their will with the threat of death if ever they are caught attempting to escape.

With a similar story being uncovered behind Al Qaeda’s Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) which has been for decades backed, armed, trained, and directed by the CIA and MI6 under varying banners up to and including NATO’s recent 2011 Libyan intervention – a pattern of using “terrorists” as both a convenient casus belli and as an effective proxy military force is becoming apparent. With LIFG commander Abdul Hakim Belhaj turning up in Syria carrying out a NATO-backed campaign to topple President Bashar al-Assad, it appears terrorist mercenaries in the employ of the West are at work there as well. Tales of “pro-democracy” “freedom fighters” are spun for anyone ignorant enough to believe them, while in reality the violence there is nothing more than the symptoms of neo-imperial machinations.

The War on Terror is a Fraud

The “War on Terror” is a fraud. For 10 years the West, and in particular America’s armed forces have been lied to, misled, and bled dry literally while the American tax payers have been bled dry financially. Americans have resigned their personal freedoms to the “Patriot Act” and the increasingly perverse and invasive Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The corporate-financier think-tanks, like the Brookings Institution, who conspire to train, arm, and fund terrorist organizations we supposedly sent thousands of our sons to die fighting, and who’s “omnipresent danger” we have surrendered our liberties to help combat, do so not for the greater good of the American people, but for the greater good of the corporate-financier sponsors that fund their work.

This is modern global empire – its moral imperative one entirely contrived to hide a glaring reality so outrageous even when it is admitted amongst the mainstream press, the general public has no idea, apparently, what to make of it.

It would be suggested, however, that the public identify these corporations, boycott them completely, and replace them with a new, local paradigm with a moral imperative derived from their own personal convictions – not ideology sold to them on the corporate-sponsored evening news.

Secretary Clinton trapped by a false dichotomy

In November 2011 a large group of interested people met in Baghdad to discuss the seemingly intractable problem of how to dismantle the Mohjahedin-e Khalq foreign terrorist group and remove the members from the country. At the behest of families of the individuals trapped inside Camp Ashraf, the GOI agreed to proceed in a way that would avoid violent confrontation. Iraq’s Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari announced later, “We will refuse them the satisfaction of becoming martyrs on our soil”. The Governor of Diyala, the military head of Diyala province and other authorities all went the extra mile to prevent the MEK from killing more hostages and blaming the Iraqis for it.
Prime Minister Nouri al Maliki signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the UN which would allow more time and give oversight of the eviction process to the UN and to representatives of the EU and US.
The Iraqis have kept their side of bargain – the deadline for the MEK’s departure was extended and negotiations were facilitated to persuade the MEK to cooperate in a move from Camp Ashraf to Camp Liberty where the UNHCR would be able to assess each individual for refugee status. (Remember that no external body, including the GOI, has been able to freely access the inside of Camp Ashraf since the fall of Saddam Hussein.) The first 800 individuals have now moved and another 800 are lined up to move over the next few days in two groups of 400. The MEK leader has not been able to exploit the situation and kill any hostages. The GOI has control of the situation.
UNAMI has been rigorous in its supervision of the move and, by enforcing its own rules and regulations has not allowed propaganda to overshadow activities at either camp. Facilities at the new camp were approved by UN inspectors, the ICRC has been involved and behind the scene EU and US special advisors have been keeping a watchful eye on events. The MEK has ‘character assassinated’ UNAMI and its officials, and others, in the media but UNAMI has not been diverted by the efforts of the MEK and their backers.
But one pernicious factor which has actively impeded proper progress in this task has been the support given to the MEK by Israelis and US Neoconservatives whose clear intent is to politicise what is essentially a humanitarian situation. The MEK is a well-honed tool in the hands of these ideologues and is used to incite hatred against Iran and Iraq among ignorant and lazy political communities. The MEK is far too valuable for them to allow it to disappear. Most recently, the MEK has been used by Mossad to assassinate Iranian nuclear scientists.
This being so will make it even more difficult for UNAMI to transfer them to third countries. This ruthless use of the MEK as a mercenary terrorist force has a direct impact on the situation of the hostages trapped in the camp; their future becomes all the more uncertain.
But then, it has been all along, the clear intention of the MEK’s paymasters to keep the MEK intact as a terrorist entity in Iraq, in total disregard for the human beings involved.
If it wasn’t because of the backing of Israel and the Neoconservatives, Rajavi would have had no choice but to open the doors of his closed totalitarian group and allow the individuals trapped inside to walk free. That is the aim of everyone on the ground working to resolve the situation in Iraq. In this respect it is no less the responsibility of the US Government to work with the international community to dismantle this terrorist group and rescue the hostages.
But while the rest of the world is genuinely working toward a peaceful end to the camp and the release and resettlement of the hostages, it appears Secretary of State Clinton is somewhat ambiguous in her dealing with the situation.
Based on a legal ruling, Clinton must make a decision by the end of March whether the State Department remove the MEK from its terrorism list or not. Presenting this as leverage she has introduced a unilateral condition to the MEK’s removal from Iraq; if the MEK cooperate with UNAMI and the Government of Iraq, she has indicated, we will remove them from the US terrorism list. But cooperation with UNAMI is a legal obligation rather than an optional choice for the MEK. So what is really behind this position?
On the surface this would appear as though the USG is prepared to do a political deal to get the MEK to leave Iraq (and in doing so gain credit with the Iraqi government). It is as though the MEK were a far distant uncontrollable threat to US security which needs careful handling to bring it under control before dismantling it. Nothing could be further from the truth. Everything that the MEK’s western owners can do is being done to help the MEK’s leader keep the doors to the camp closed, to keep the hostages inside and to deny them contact with their families – even though this is against all humanitarian, moral or indeed criminal law.
By talking about the terrorism list rather than talking about what is happening in Iraq Clinton is bowing to this pressure. Certainly if UNAMI is allowed to do its job properly – with the support of all the international community – there will not be an organisation left to be listed or not listed. By invoking the US terrorism list, the actual script appears to be whether the MEK can be more useful listed as terrorists or if they are not regarded as terrorists. This false choice disguises the real intent of its proponents which is to keep the group intact as a terrorist group so it can be rearmed and used.
Secretary Clinton, indeed the whole government of America, needs to unhitch the politically charged consideration of the MEK’s inclusion in the US terrorism list from the very real humanitarian situation in Iraq. If the USG’s intention is really to deal properly with this terrorist group, it should reassert the humanitarian focus of American policy toward the MEK and unequivocally support the dismantlement process in Iraq.

UN & Obama Supporting Islamo-Marxist Terror Group MEK in Iraq

The Obama administration and top former officials are reportedly violating federal law by offering support to the Iranian Mujahedin-e Khalq , a notorious Islamic-Communist terror group that has murdered senior American personnel and is officially designated a “foreign terrorist organization” by the U.S. State Department.

The U.S. government is, among other support measures, currently helping to relocate members of the MEK to a former American military base in Iraq. It is also assisting the group to settle around the world as refugees in a controversial deal brokered with help from the new Iraqi regime and the United Nations. Outraged critics called the administration’s support for the terrorist group an act of “high treason” and “overt criminality.” But paid lobbyists, including politicians and top U.S. officials, have been waging an intense propaganda campaign on behalf of the MEK.

Incredibly, the organization’s supporters claim the transfer of MEK members to the former American base is unacceptable. The terror group’s leadership and its allies are demanding that members either be allowed to stay where they are or be relocated near the Jordanian border instead.

Several thousand members of the group had been living for decades near the Iranian border in Iraq’s “Camp Ashraf,” which analysts and officials have described as a militarized "cult" compound. And from 2003 until recently, the terror group was there under the protection of American forces.

The protection agreement with the U.S. government came after the group lost its former protector, Saddam Hussein, in the wake of the American invasion. Now, however, U.S. forces are officially out of Iraq and the new regime is supposed to be in charge.

Iraqi officials have recently tried — unsuccessfully — to evict the terror organization’s members from the camp. The efforts resulted in bloodshed, according to news reports. But the process of moving them finally began last month and is now well underway.

In an alleged bid to avoid further confrontations between the terror group and the new regime ruling Iraq, months of negotiations between the UN and American and Iraqi officials resulted in a plan to transfer the MEK members temporarily to “Camp Liberty,”[TTL] a former U.S. military base near Baghdad.

The terror group and its prominent American lobbyists, however, are crying foul, describing the former American installation — which was certified by the UN — as a sort of “substandard” prison. And an international controversy of sorts about the issue is growing.

The MEK, also known as the People’s Mujahideen Organisation of Iran (PMOI), was founded in a bizarre effort to blend economic Marxism with the values and beliefs of Islam — and impose the system by force. The group also helped Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini during the Islamic revolution that overthrew the U.S. government-backed Shah of Iran. But the warm relations soured soon after that.

America and capitalism have historically been the organization’s primary enemies. Violence and terror, meanwhile, were the means used to wage war. But after a series of terror attacks within Iran left top officials and hundreds of others dead, the Iranian regime unleashed a crackdown — attempting to dismantle the terrorist network once and for all.

The MEK was eventually designated a foreign terrorist organization in 1997 under the Clinton administration. But in recent years, the terror group has toned down its anti-American rhetoric and adopted a friendlier public-relations approach — spending millions of dollars on lobbyists and even dabbling in politics. Supporters hope to have the U.S. terror designation dropped eventually.

The group’s history, however, includes assassinations of more than a few senior U.S. military personnel, terror attacks on American installations, murder of civilians, and much more. Iranians and Iraqis have been victimized even more frequently.

The designated terrorist organization once fought alongside Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein’s forces too, collaborating with the tyrant against the Iranian regime in the Iran-Iraq war. It even helped Hussein to quash domestic dissidents within Iraq as well.

Iraqis and Iranians, of course, remember the MEK’s partnership with the former despot in suppressing uprisings by rebel groups and slaughtering Iranians. And the bitter memories have led to growing hostility against the terror group among Iraq’s new rulers.

Since Hussein was overthrown by U.S. forces, the new government in Iraq has also become increasingly close to the Islamic regime in Iran. So, a conflict has erupted over the status of MEK members living inside Iraq as officials demand that Camp Ashraf be permanently shut down.

In recent weeks, convoys comprised of several hundred MEK members each have started arriving at Camp Liberty [Temporary Transit Location] from the group’s previous paramilitary compound near Iran. The second group of about 400 arrived last week. And thousands more are expected in the not-too-distant future.

Meanwhile, U.S. taxpayers are reportedly paying to improve the terror organization’s new temporary residence while the UN works to shuttle them out the country. According to news reports, the MEK members are supposed to be processed at Camp Liberty[TTL] as they await UN-sponsored relocation to other countries as refugees.

But the group’s leaders and their well-paid Western lobbyists have asked for Iraqi law enforcement and security personnel to be expelled from the camp while demanding upgrades to the facilities. And they have found sympathetic supporters around the world.

The Islamo-Marxist terror organization — which much of the press now identifies as a group of “dissidents,” “exiles,” and “refugees” — has especially found favor among advocates of war and regime change in Iran. Numerous reports and experts say the U.S. and Israeli governments have actually been working directly with the group for years, in violation of federal laws, to assassinate Iranian scientists, gather intelligence, and even carry out terror attacks on various targets.

But of course, Obama administration officials would hardly be the first to violate U.S. laws — which the Supreme Court upheld at the government’s request — by supporting the designated terror organization. Top neo-conservatives such as former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and ex-Attorney General Michael Mukasey have been lobbying feverishly on behalf of the group too, along with a broad roster of former politicians and U.S. officials.

Former Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean, ex-Homeland Security boss Tom Ridge, former FBI chief Louis Freeh, ex-CIA Director Porter Goss, former National Security Advisor Gen. James Jones, former White House Chief of Staff Andy Card, and many other prominent Americans have joined the battle to aid the MEK as well. So have officials throughout Europe.

And over the last few months, a strange brouhaha has erupted between the Obama administration and the MEK’s highly placed roster of vocal lobbyists. Instead of focusing on the fact that it is a serious breach of federal law to provide virtually any form of support to a designated terrorist organization, former U.S. officials are alleging — very loudly, even purchasing full page ads in major newspapers — that the federal government is not doing enough to coddle the terrorists.

An article in Foreign Policy, citing an anonymous Obama administration official working on the issue, reported that the terror group is actually trashing Camp Liberty itself in a bid to make conditions appear worse than they are. The official also said the MEK’s high-profile U.S. lobbying activities are making it more difficult — potentially even dangerous — for the Obama administration to properly help the terrorists reach “good solutions.”

“We have a plan that has a chance to work and the Iraqis want it to work,” the administration source was quoted as saying. “Whether the MEK wants a resolution or wants a confrontation is something we’re still debating. It’s that bad."

Apparently investigators with the U.S. Treasury Department’s terror branch have started to probe at least one former official for accepting the terrorist group’s money in exchange for lobbying. Former Pennsylvania Gov. Edward Rendell said recently that he received a subpoena seeking documents related to his ties with the MEK.

A Treasury spokesman refused to either confirm or deny that the department was investigating. “But the MEK is a designated terrorist group, therefore U.S. persons are generally prohibited from engaging in transactions with or providing services to this group,” the spokesman was quoted as saying by the Washington Times, which broke the story on March 9.

As part of the covert war on Iran, the U.S. and Israeli governments have reportedly been arming, training, and funding the MEK for years — as well as other known terror groups such as the al-Qaeda affiliate known as the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) during the recent “regime change” in Libya. And providing support to a designated foreign terrorist organization remains a serious crime, punishable by steep fines and long prison sentences. Whether anyone will be held accountable, however, remains to be seen.

A former top commander of the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) says the organization has close ties with Israeli operatives, helping them in their covert operations against Iran.

In a telephone interview with Israel’s Maariv radio on March 5, Massoud Khodabandeh noted that it was no surprise to hear about the role of the MKO terrorists in assassinating Iran’s nuclear scientists.

Some US officials told the NBC network last week that the MKO terrorists have been involved in the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists in the past two years.

Since January 2010, a total of six Iranian nuclear scientists have been assassinated by operatives of Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad, which is using the MKO terrorists for the attacks.

“I was not surprised by the recent revelations as I am fully aware of Israel’s relations with the MKO.” Khodabandeh added.

He said the MKO has extensive relations with Israel and its operatives in Europe work with Israeli agents.

According to the ex-MKO official, most members of the organization are women. Their leader Maryam Rajavi, also a woman, is the wife of top MKO member Massoud Rajavi who ‘disappeared’ 10 years ago and there is no information available on his current whereabouts.

The organization has strong financial resources and two major bases; one in the suburbs of Paris and the other Camp Ashraf in Iraq. The MKO elements were recently evacuated from Ashraf to Liberty Camp in Iraq.

Khodabandeh said the organization has 5,000 members, barred from any contact with the outside world, who totally obey the Rajavis.

Ann Singleton, the wife of Khodabandeh and a former MKO member, also noted that the MKO has never been independent and has always relied on foreign support.

She added that it would be quite logical to imagine that the organization has been involved in the assassination of Iranian scientist.

Dr. Trita Parsi, a prominent MKO critic, also noted that the MKO is not a simple organization, but a cult which suppresses even its own members.

The MKO is termed as a terrorist organization under the US law, and has been described by the US State Department officials as a repressive cult.

The group fled to Iraq in 1986, where it enjoyed the support of Iraq’s executed dictator, Saddam Hussein.

Habilian has interviewed Mark Dankof, former US Senate candidate and a San Antonio-based political commentator, about the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK, also MKO and PMOI) and the latest developments surrounding the terrorist group. What follows is an approximate transcript of the interview.

Habilian: Mr. Dankof, there have been allegations recently that the MEK was involved in the recent bomb blasts in Thailand. What do you think of these allegations? If you place any validity in them, for what purposes would the MEK have been involved?

Mark Dankof: I am aware of the allegations made by Syed Sulaiman Husaini, the Shia leader of Thailand, that the MEK was directly involved, and that all four of the suspects were MEK operatives. His allegations were published in the Bangkok Post. Mr. Husaini’s allegations make perfect sense to me. In the first place, the Iranian government is not reckless enough to sanction such an absolutely absurd undertaking, any more than the so-called Saudi Ambassador assassination plot in the United States Iran was linked to by the American media.

I emphasized this in my last conversation with you fine folks and with Press TV. Tehran would have everything to lose by such actions, in essence handing the Zionists the public casus belli they seek in conjunction with the Zionist-affiliated War Party in the United States. Everything about this recent incident in Bangkok points to a False Flag Operation conducted by the Mossad and the MEK for purposes of discrediting Iran, facilitating their propaganda campaign about Iran’s posited danger to the international community, and diverting attention from their own obvious acts of terror within Iranian borders in recent years, including the assassinations of the 5 Iranian nuclear scientists.

NBC News has all but confirmed MEK/Mossad involvement in these killings, quoting an “unnamed senior U.S. official” as confirming a direct Israeli/MEK involvement not only in these 5 murders, but in other acts of terror in Iranian Azerbaijan, Khuzestan, Balochistan, and Khorasan provinces.

Here is the bottom line. The United States and Israel are already at war with Iran, as Ron Paul has correctly observed. The recent articles by Pat Buchanan, Pepe Escobar, and Alex Newman of the New American are among those which chronicle the real reasons for this bellicose policy of unmitigated aggression. These reasons have nothing to do with the Zionist propaganda poured into American homes every evening by Corporate Media. The Zionist doctrine of Eretz Yisrael, Iran’s forced entrance into a Jewish dominated international central banking system at gunpoint, and the control of Iranian oil, natural gas, and pipeline routes by Western multinational energy consortiums is the real agenda. And one of history’s most bitter ironies and paradoxes is that the Marxist-Leninist MEK is a tool in the achievement of these evil objectives. The real point of intersection in all of this may well be the truism that Marxism, Zionism, and Multinational Corporate Capitalism have an identical disregard for God and a complete lack of respect for the sanctity of human life—especially Iranian human life.

Habilian: The hue and cry of the MKO is that the conditions at Camp Liberty in Iraq are dire and inhumane, and that Iraqi forces are a threat to the wellbeing of the MEK members at the new camp, even though the United Nations has confirmed that Liberty meets international standards. What do you think of all of this? Is the MEK going to resist further attempts at relocation? What will Iraq’s reaction to continued resistance be?

Mark Dankof: The propaganda campaign being waged by the MKO over their status in Iraq is being aided and abetted by Israel’s Lobby in the United States, as is made clear by reading Ron Kampeas’ piece for the Jewish Telegraphic Agency and the Jerusalem Post entitled, “Pro-Israel Voices Want MKO off Terrorist List.” I have some advice for both Iraq and Iran. I believe all 3,400 MKO members should be returned to Tehran. Those determined to have been directly involved in crimes should face a public tribunal for their massively expansive list of violent acts undertaken in that country since 1965. The witnesses in the tribunal would include a rather impressive list of Westerners victimized by the MEK, including Constance Wilson Andresen, the ex-wife of Professor Raymond Tanter of Georgetown University who heads up the MEK’s chief front organization in the United States, the Iran Policy Committee.

The world needs to hear Mrs. Tanter’s story, the stories of the American family members whose loved ones were assassinated by the MEK during the days of Pahlavi Iran, the role of the MEK in killing dozens of members of the IRI government in Iran in the early 1980s by bomb blasts, the utilization of the MEK by Saddam Hussein against Iran during the Iran-Iraq War from 1980-1988, the role of the MEK in carrying out the murder of Kurds at Mr. Hussein’s directive, and the particulars of the murders of 17,000 Iranians by this Marxist-Leninist cult.

The horrific criminal record of this organization, when exposed by open public tribunal, will simply underscore the moral bankruptcy of the Israeli government presently in league with these people, and the connivance of Israel’s agents in the United States government with these murderers.

Habilian: What do you think of barring Miryam Rajavi [co-leader of the MEK with husband Masoud Rajavi] from entrance into the UK?

Mark Dankof: She should be barred. She should also be expelled by France, along with her husband, and sent back to Tehran to stand trial along with the other MEK expatriates currently in Iraq. Ed Blanche’s piece in June of 2009 for The Middle East on the MEK discusses the Rajavis. It should be read by everyone in the United States currently feasting on Zionist propaganda on the subject, along with the RAND Corporation dossier on this organization and its sordid history.

Habilian: Any final thoughts today?

Mark Dankof: The sickening spectacle of the national gathering of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in Washington this coming week is, nonetheless, a pivotal event in world history, but for tragic and demonic purposes. Benjamin Netanyahu is coming here in an American Presidential Election Year to extort support from a groveling American Chief Executive of the United States, his wannabe opponents in the Republican Presidential Primaries, and key Congressional members of both major parties on Capitol Hill, also known as Zionist Occupied Territory. What happens at this gathering, and in the private meeting of Netanyahu with Obama and his Republican neo-conservative counterparts, may well determine the date when Israel’s overt aerial military operation against Iran begins. I believe it will happen before the American election. When it does, Philip Giraldi’s essay, “What World War III May Look Like,” underscores the horror and tragedy of the intended—and unintended—consequences that will undoubtedly follow.

I’d like to express one more thought tonight. I have always loved Iran since I first traveled there in 1974. It was my intention to return there for a visit this year, an intention unfortunately preempted by events beyond the control of any of us. I’d like any Iranian who reads my remarks, either in English, or in a Farsi translation, to know from the bottom of my heart that I am truly and sincerely sorry for the direction the relationship between our countries has taken in recent years because of the poison disseminated by the Zionist beast, and that I and many similarly powerless Americans are sickened and outraged by what is likely to transpire in the next year. FM: West hosting killers of Iran’s nuke scientists

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi in his speech at the 19th UN Human Rights Council meeting in Geneva condemned assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists, and deplored the FM: West hosting killers of Iran's nuke scientists West and Zionists’ support for assassins and other elements behind the terrorist acts.

Addressing the meeting, Salehi pointed to the background of terrorist operations against Iran’s innocent citizens, including children and women and scientists, and added, "These terrorist acts come while those responsible for these actions are now the guests of a Western capital and being supported by Zionist terrorists."

Meantime, the minister said that such illegal acts that are aimed at intimidating and exerting pressure on the Iranian nation will be unable to create a change in the Iranian nation’s decisions and policies.

In the fifth attack of its kind in two years, terrorists killed a 32-year-old Iranian scientist, Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, and his driver on January 11.

The blast took place on the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Iranian university professor and nuclear scientist, Massoud Ali Mohammadi, who was also assassinated in a terrorist bomb attack in Tehran in January 2010.

The assassination method used in the bombing was similar to the 2010 terrorist bomb attacks against the then university professor, Fereidoun Abbassi Davani – who is now the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization – and his colleague Majid Shahriari. While Abbasi Davani survived the attack, Shahriari was martyred.

Another Iranian scientist, Dariush Rezaeinejad, was also assassinated through the same method on 23 July 2011.

Reports said that that the terrorist attack which killed a senior Iranian scientist in Tehran was a joint operation carried out by the agents of the Israeli spy agency and the MKO.

Earlier in February, a new report unveiled tight ties and cooperation between the Israeli spy agency, Mossad, and the anti-Iran terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization.

The NBC News said in a new report that Mossad has financed and trained the MKO to assassinate Iranian nuclear scientists.

Two senior US officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, have confirmed to the NBC News that the MKO was to blame for the series of assassinations against Iranian nuclear scientists.

"All your inclinations are correct," said one of the officials while speaking about the group’s role in the assassinations and Tel Aviv’s support of the group.

The US officials said the US government was aware of the assassination campaign.

The Valentine’s Day bomb blast in Bangkok came approximately a month after Tehran bombing where the Iranian nuclear scientist Mostafa Ahamdi Roshan was assassinated after a magnetic bomb was slapped to his car by motorcycle riders who were MKO-Israeli agents according to various reports. The most prominent report is that of MSNBC that quotes from US officials who confirm that Israeli Mossad and the Mujahedin khalq Organization have been working together on killing Iranian scientists.[1]

MSNBC revealed that US officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the Obama administration is aware of the assassination campaign but has no direct involvement. Israel’s Foreign Ministry declined comment. And, the MKO called the report “absolutely false”.[2]

The sophistication of the attacks shows that an experienced intelligence service was involved, according to experts.[3]
The possibility of the MKO involvement in the attack “seems logical” in the “psychological warfare” conducted against Iran. ”it ‘s been done before” Dr. Uzi Rabi, director of the Dayan Center at Tel Aviv University told NBC.[4]

The MKO’s spying network and terrorist operations against Iran is notoriously known to the world. Maybe that’s why Bangkok Post states, ”at various levels, there are grounds which might support the theory of an Independent MEK operation in Bangkok, New Delhi and Tiblisi.

“Strategically, the organization has ample motive. The successful assassination of Israeli diplomats would at the least serve to further isolate the Iranian government at a critical juncture. At most, it might provide the impetus to push Israel into an attack on Iran that would destabilize or even topple the regime – a result MeK has no chance of achieving itself.”[5]
Muhammad Sahimi and Richard Silverstein of the Christian Science Monitor believe that it may be no accident that the attacks occurred only days after the publication of MSNBC report on Mossad – MKO role in Iran assassinations.[6]

It was no surprise that after the February blasts Israel accused Iran and eventually Iran denied the accusation. “Though the plot in Thailand appears utterly amateurish and there are questions as to why Iran might choose India – one of the most importers of its oil- to attack the Israeli diplomats, the denial might be self-serving”, Sahimi and Silverstein write. [7] However, “the willingness of the Islamic Republic to provide proactive assistance in the investigations [about Bangkok blasts] will also serve as an important reflection of its interest in rebutting Israeli’s accusations,” according to Bangkok Post. [8]

It doesn’t seem too difficult to figure out who really commit the terrorist operations.”Operationally ,the hand of the MEK or allied opposition elements also provides an explanation for the otherwise puzzling blunders displayed in Mid February,” reads Bangkok post.”It can be safely assumed that a small number of Iranian opposition elements has been recruited, trained and deployed by Israeli and/or US intelligence services in the covert war against Iran’s nuclear program.”[9]

Referring to “Which Path to Persia” 2009 report of Brookings’ Institution, Feroze Mithiborwala put it in countercurrents.org that the US and Israel are looking for ways to goad Iran into provocation as justification for the airstrikes before launching them. [10] He finds “the riddle of Bangkok”, ”a very simple matter to comprehend” explaining that ”The Mujahedin Khalq (MKO/MEK) ,is a terrorist organization comprising of disgruntled Iranians who are now working for the CIA and the Mossad. The MKO is openly supported by the US – Israel as their strategic allies and they are the ones who are responsible for the assassinations of the Iranian nuclear scientists and terror attacks within Iran.”[11]

Yeah, for the United States and Israel the MKO is categorized in “Good Terrorists” group because it is engaged in any act of violence against people-whether civilians or military – to destabilize their long time common foe, Islamic Republic of Iran.

"By Way Of Deception, Thou Shalt Do War"

The motto of Mossad has long been based on practicing the art of deception to engage in covert and overt warfare. Mossad’s motto "By Way of Deception, Thou Shalt Do War" (Hebrew: be-tahb?l?t ta`aseh lekh? milkham?h) is being carried out in supposed Iranian-engineered bomb plots against Israeli diplomats in New Delhi, India; Tbilisi, Georgia; and Bangkok, Thailand.

The Israeli ambassador to Thailand, Itzhak Shoham, is alleging that the latest bomb plot in Bangkok, in which two men said to be carrying Iranian passports were caught trying to carry out a bomb plot against Israeli diplomatic targets, were similar to two other operations in Tbilisi and New Delhi. The Tbilisi and New Delhi operations saw amateurish homemade magnetic "sticky bombs," similar to those that Israel and the Mojahedin-e-Khalq (MEK) have used to carry out car bomb assassinations of Iranian nuclear scientists in Iran, being used against Israeli embassy targets.

In Bangkok, "sticky bombs" made from C-4 explosives went off prematurely in the home of two suspects. The residence is located on Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok. One of the alleged Iranians caught by Thai police is Saeid Moradi. Moradi lost his legs while tossing a grenade at police while they were chasing Moradi.

Earlier, a bomb attached to an Israeli diplomatic vehicle exploded, slightly wounding the wife of an Israeli diplomat. The woman was released from the hospital later the same day. In Tbilisi, a bomb attached to an Israeli diplomatic vehicle was defused before it as detonated.

Israeli officials have promised retaliation for the alleged Iranian attacks. However, Iran has stated that Israel carried out the attacks in order to damage Tehran’s good relations with India, Georgia, and Thailand. Thailand recently recognized the statehood of Palestine.

Thai authorities had been expecting a Mossad operation for the past month in retaliation for Thailand’s recognition of Palestine. The alleged "Iranian" operation in Bangkok comes just after the triennial Cobra Gold exercise that involved U.S. Special Forces, Thai and other troops from Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, and Indonesia, as well as invited Israeli military observers. Cobra Gold wrapped up on February 13. The exercises were based out of the Sattahip naval base near Chonburi.

Moradi, the alleged Iranian grenade thrower, flew to Bangkok from Seoul. After arriving in Thailand, Moradi traveled to Phuket and then to Chonburi, remaining for several days during the Cobra Gold exercise. It is believed by Thai sources that Moradi obtained the hand grenades from the U.S. Special Forces team in Chonburi.

Moradi threw the grenades at police on Sukhumvit Soi 7 in the Nana area of Bangkok. This is an area that services sex tourists from the Arab Middle East and Islamic countries. There are no Israeli targets of opportunity in the Sukhumvit No. 7 area. The Israeli embassy is located on Sukhumvit Soi 19, far from the location of the grenade incident.

Typical sign found in Soi 7: not the type of neighborhood one would expect seasoned Iranian Shi’a Muslim agents sworn to die for Ayatollah Khamenei and Allah would be plotting their attack on the Israeli embassy.

The female room mate of the trio of Iranian suspects was staying in the Ekkamai district, several kilometers from the Sukhumvit safe house location. It is believed that the Ekkamai residence was where the "Iranians" were actually staying. To get to Sukhumvit Soi 7/Nana from Ekkamai, Moradi would have taken a taxi or the Skytrain twelve blocks past the Israeli embassy. It is believed that Moradi was hiding from the Thai police in the Nana Arab district. If Moradi were an Iranian agent, the question remains why he was staying in locations far from the Israeli embassy, as well as the Chabad House, which is on the other side of Bangkok, and why he did not use the occasion of passing by the Israeli embassy to make a dash for the compound or the diplomatic vehicles, if, as Israeli officials have stated, the Bangkok operation was a mirror of the operations in New Delhi and Tbilisi.

UPDATE: WMR has learned from Thai sources that the Ekkamai safe house was being used as an assembly center for car explosives. The devices were magnetic packages that were designed to be detonated by radio signal. The targets were not Israeli facilities in Thailand. The bomb packages were being shipped by the MEK from Thailand to Iran disguised as consumer electronics. The Thailand-to-Iran route is how previous car bombs targeting Iranian scientists were being smuggled into Iran. The operation involved "for-hire" ex-U.S. Special Forces personnel and is funded by Mossad.

The MEK rented the Ekkamai safe house in early December 2011. On January 11, Iranian chemical engineer Mostafa Ahmadi-Roshan was killed after a magnetic bomb that was slapped on to his car in a northern suburb of Tehran exploded. The small bomb that killed Ahmadi-Roshan was shipped from Thailand to Iran was very small and hidden inside a mobile phone carton. Similar bombs have been shipped from the Ekkamai safe house to Iran.

The Valentine’s Day incident in Bangkok came a month after the Tehran blast. The accidental blast in Bangkok occurred after the Mossad-directed MEK team picked up C4 in Chonburi and technical and operational instructions in Phuket, over the previous week.
The Ekkamai safe house was an independent, small 2-story glass-and-sheetmetal structure with a garage and a tall concrete block wall in front. The facility was an obvious factory operation. Only the ground floor was damaged with shattered windows on the doors and the front door leaning on broken hinges. The second story windows were not damaged. An aerial shot of the Ekkamai safe house shows the front part of the roof blown through with tiles missing and a rectangular hole.

A number of international terrorism experts claim the Bangkok operation lacked the sophistication that would be expected from Iranian intelligence or Iran’s Quds special operations force.

The C4 used in the bombs that went off prematurely in the Sukhumvit safe house were of standard U.S. Navy issue. Since 2001, most of the explosives used for U.S. covert operations/false flag attacks in southern Thailand, Indonesia, and Myanmar originated from the large weapons arsenal located at the U.S. Naval Air Station in Fallon, Nevada.

In past covert/false flag operations, the C4 was smuggled into Thailand by retired U.S. military personnel operating under the cover of the U.S. Missing in Action program in Laos. The C4 used by the alleged bombers in Sukhumvit was diverted from the Cobra Gold exercise.

Thai sources also point out that Moradi is of Persian Jewish origin. A number of prominent Iranian Jewish families, some of whom are in exile in the United States, have the last name Moradi. In 2004, the Simon Wiesenthal Center posthumously honored Iranian diplomat Abol-Hassan Sardari, the Iranian consul in Paris during the Nazi occupation, for saving the life of an Iranian Jew named Ibrahim Moradi. Moradi is also a common name among Kurdish Jews who live in northern Iran.

Time & again the Chabad Lubavitch members & houses are involved with acts of terror & drug smuggling operations. Chabad Houses, under the guise of religious centres are also dens of espionage & used by Mossad operatives the world over. Thus the Chabad Lubavitch centres across the country need to be probed by the government agencies, as they certainly pose a grave security threat.

There has been increased activity of Israeli "tourists", where a number of them have been caught red-handed with revolvers, live ammunition & satellite phones in the last 5 years. Due to the direct intervention of the Israeli embassy, they are let of by the police within 24 hours, despite the fact that they are foreigners & supposedly "tourists". Recently an Israeli couple Shenor Zalman & Yaffa Shenoi were ordered to be deported from Kochi (Kerala), after being under surveillance by the RAW & the Police authorities & were suspected of being involved in drug smuggling & espionage as Kochi is a sensitive Indian Naval base. They are still to be deported pending a court order. This false-flag attack has once again opened the doors for more Mossad agents to come into India, under the pretext of security considerations & joint investigations.

In the Indian context, the Hindutva-RSS are once again under pressure as the NIA-ATS have arrested another of their activists, Kamal Chauhan from Indore in connection with the Samjhauta train terror attack, previously blamed on Pakistan. These arrests also come at a time when the crucial UP & 4 other state elections are on & in any case the BJP is under pressure due to many other issues of corruption & morality where it stands utterly exposed. Thus this terror attack, surely helps to change the national headlines & priorities.
