Every year the Mujaheedin-e Khalq Organization, or MKO, holds a rally in a Parisian suburb to try and present itself as a normal political party, celebrating June 20th anniversary and calls the date as the start of resistance against Islamic regime although they claim that they have renounced violence since June 2001.

The day before the group’s rally this year, former MKO members held a press event, which was attended by just one other journalist. The lack of media interest reflects how Europe chooses to ignore the indisputable human rights violations of a group described by former members as a horrific cult.

Defected Members Urge EU to Prevent Free Traveling of MKO Ringleaders

The defected members of the terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO, also known as MEK, NCRI and Defected Members Urge EU to Prevent Free Traveling of MKO Ringleaders PMOI) in different statements called on the European countries to prevent the free traveling of the MKO ringleaders and members in their cities.

The statements which were sent to the European countries’ presidents and parliament speakers underlined the MKO’s record of terrorist acts against the Iranian and Iraqi nations as well as the secret killing of its own members.

The defected members further reminded the MKO’s financial offenses and crimes in Europe during the years a number of members and ringleaders of the group resided in the European countries, and cautioned that MKO’s presence in these countries would pose a fatal danger to European citizens.

The statements described the MKO members’ money laundering, fraud, adult and children trafficking, forced self-immolation, torturing the dissident members and even physical assaults and threatening of the defected members as among the other crimes committed by the terrorist group.

Many of the MKO members have abandoned the terrorist organization while most of those still remaining in the group are said to be willing to quit but are under pressure and torture not to do so.

A recent Human Rights Watch report accused the MKO of running prison camps in Iraq and committing human rights violations.

According to the Human Rights Watch report, the outlawed group puts defectors under torture and jail terms.

The group, founded in the 1960s, blended elements of Islamism and Stalinism and participated in the overthrow of the US-backed Shah of Iran in 1979. Ahead of the revolution, the MKO conducted attacks and assassinations against both Iranian and Western targets.

The group started assassination of the citizens and officials after the revolution in a bid to take control of the newly-established Islamic Republic. It killed several of Iran’s new leaders in the early years after the revolution, including the then President, Mohammad Ali Rajayee, Prime Minister, Mohammad Javad Bahonar and the Judiciary Chief, Mohammad Hossein Beheshti who were killed in bomb attacks by MKO members in 1981.

The group fled to Iraq in 1986, where it was protected by Saddam Hussein and where it helped the Iraqi dictator suppress Shiite and Kurd uprisings in the country.

The terrorist group joined Saddam’s army during the Iraqi imposed war on Iran (1980-1988) and helped Saddam and killed thousands of Iranian civilians and soldiers during the US-backed Iraqi imposed war on Iran.

Since the 2003 US invasion of Iraq, the group, which now adheres to a pro-free-market philosophy, has been strongly backed by neo-conservatives in the United States, who eventually took the MKO off the US terror list.

The US formally removed the MKO from its list of terror organizations in early September 2012, one week after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sent the US Congress a classified communication about the move. The decision made by Clinton enabled the group to have its assets under US jurisdiction unfrozen and do business with American entities, the State Department said in a statement at the time.

In September 2012, the last groups of the MKO terrorists left Camp Ashraf, their main training center in Iraq’s Diyala province. They have been transferred to Camp Liberty which lies Northeast of the Baghdad International Airport.

Camp Liberty is a transient settlement facility and a last station for the MKO in Iraq.

Ex-MKO members recount ordeals at Camp Ashraf

The MKO – listed as a terrorist organization by much of the international community – fled Iran in 1986 to Iraq, where it received the support of Iraq’s executed dictator Saddam Hussein, and set up its camp near the Iranian border.”

“What I saw and endured at the MKO’s Camp Ashraf is opposite of what they say here in Europe. There is no freedom for women. They cannot talk to men, wear make-up and are even forced to have abortions… I wanted to leave there for a long time and finally escaped,” said Nasrin Ebrahimi, a former MKO member, in the French capital, Paris.

The Iraqi government later transferred MKO terrorists from Camp New Iraq, formerly known as Camp Ashraf, to Camp Liberty, located at the north of Baghdad. They are currently being relocated to other countries such as Albania.

The group is notorious for carrying out numerous acts of terror against Iranian civilians and officials and the massacre of Iraqi Kurds in the country’s north under Saddam.

Edward Termado, another former member, said, “We did not have [access to] internet, we did not have [access to] news, news was under their control. When I came out [of Camp], I did not know what a mobile is… in 2001.”

He added that the MKO leaders “do not understand democracy… they are dictators, and I call her [an MKO leader Maryam Rajavi] small dictator.”

Jahangir Shadanlou, a social worker for former MKO members, said executed Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein paid the terrorist group USD 30 million dollars a month to attack and spy on Iran.

“They made a lot of foreign investments with this money. The MKO is a group of Fifth columnists, which has spied and fought against the Iranian people in hopes that one day foreign powers would reward them by putting them in charge of Iran,” Shadanlou added.

In the past few years, MKO and its sympathizers have invested considerable financial resources to bring high-profile speakers to rallies and gatherings in the United States and Europe to back the terrorist group.

In 2012, the US Treasury Department investigated former Pennsylvania Governor Edward Rendell for receiving USD 150,000 or 160,000 from the MKO in return for his speeches in favor of the group.

Rendell was among a group of former US officials who accepted money to deliver speeches calling for the removal of the MKO from the State Department’s list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations.

The group included former FBI Director Louis Freeh; two former CIA directors James Woolsey and Porter Goss; former attorney general Michael B. Mukasey; President George W. Bush’s first homeland security secretary Tom Ridge and President Obama’s first national security adviser Gen. James L. Jones as well as prominent Republicans, including Rudolph W. Giuliani, the former New York City mayor, and Democrats like Howard Dean, a former governor of Vermont.

According to a report by New York Times, these officials received fees of USD 10,000 to USD 50,000 for speeches on behalf of the Iranian group.

The MKO was taken off the State Department’s blacklist on September 28, 2012.

Ex-MKO members recount woes at Iraq camp

Every year the anti-Iranian terrorist group, Mujaheedin-e Khalq Organization, or MKO, holds a rally in a Parisian suburb to try and present itself as a normal political party.

Some Western politicians appear and are paid a hundred thousand dollars or more. Tens of thousands of people attend, but look closely and you’ll see that few in the crowd are actually Iranians.

Even US intelligence admits that the group’s leaders, the Rajavi family has created a cult of personality worthy of Joseph Stalin. From the mass graves recently found at their former camp in Iraq to the total control forced on their few members, the signs of totalitarianism are unmistakable.

Iranians find it hard to believe that anyone could support the MKO, for reasons which anyone should easily understand: the MKO fought alongside ex Iraqi president Saddam Hussein during the Iran-Iraq War; Saddam paid the MKO to massacre thousands of Iraqi Kurds; the terrorist group assassinated Iran’s second president, dozens of political figures and are suspected in the recent assassinations of nuclear scientists.

Last year the US and Canada joined the EU in removing the MKO from their list of terrorist groups. Iranians were shocked by the decision, as was anyone who favors peace in the Middle East.

Despite the MKO’s staggering delusions of grandeur, the appalling testimonies of former members and the undeniable fact of their continued violence, the West is actually increasing its support for the terrorist group. Now the questions are, “Why” and “When will this all end?”.

Why such a reaction to defection of two NCR members?

Following the resignation of the two last non-MEK members of the National Council of Resistance, the secretariat of the NCR published an announcement denouncing the two defectors, Mr. Karim Ghasim and Mr. Mohammad Reza Rowhani! The announcement was a reaction to the common statement the two defected member issued after their resignation.
Ghasim and Rowhani criticized the NCR leader for their undemocratic approach during the years of their membership in the council although they seemed reluctant to openly question the organization. However, the NCR announcement calls their allegedly unexpected resignation as treason! Ghorban Ali Hossein nejad former Rajavi’s personal interpreter –who himself was harshly verbally harassed by Massoud Rajavi after his defection from the Mujahedin Khalq Organization/ MKO—condemned the group’s attitude regarding defection of the members of the NCR.
“Where in the world leaving a party or a political organization is considered treason and joining the enemy?”, Hossein nejad asks the group leaders.”Why you never answered a single question they asked about the council’s functions and decisions in 30 years?”As the two individuals have noted in their statement the reason of their resignation is the lack of responsiveness in the MKO.
Comparing the MKO with the Communist party of the Soviet Union, Ghorban Ali Hosseinnejad wants the MKO authorities to respond the criticism the defectors of the NCR presented in their statement.
The announcement of the NCR was allegedly signed by the so-called signatories who signed the group’s announcement against Qasim and Rowhani and according to Hossein nejad 90 percent of them are currently in Iraq so they were absent at the NCR’s meeting held in Paris! Therefore, no challenge and criticism was posed in the meeting. Basically members of the MKO especially those who are residing in Camp Liberty, Iraq, never dare to refuse signing the indoctrinated documents. Former translator of Massoud Rajavi puts: ”Besides, I know individuals among the signatories with whom I used to work when I was in the group and I know them well. I know that they were serious critics of the council’s leader who is also the MKO’s leader but they were forced to sign the announcement under Rajavi’s oppressive system and heavy pressure ruling Liberty.”

An Islamic cleric should come in and basically try the person and say, ‘You’re going to hell, because the Koran explicitly states you should not harm women, children, elderly,’” Hassan said. “And I’d like to see ex-jihadists come and give lectures on campuses, at mosques and such. I’d like to see more people taught about how social influence works.”

The families of the Iranian victims of terrorism have condemned the opening of an office by the terrorist Mujaheeden-e Khalq Organization (MKO) in Washington as a violation of international law. MKO office in US, violation of international law

“The Mujaheeden-e Khalq [Organization] is a terrorist group in the real sense of the word,” the Tehran-based Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism wrote in a letter to US President Barack Obama.

Pointing to the dictatorial nature of the group, the letter said Maryam Rajavi has led the terrorist group for over 18 years, adding that, “The structure of the organization is completely devoid of democratic principles and is run in a completely dictatorial fashion. [Its] members do not have any say in determining policies and approaches.”

“The claims of such a group about human rights and democracy, when it does not respect the most basic needs of its members and does not care for democratic principles in managing its own internal affairs, are not genuine,” the letter further read.

The MKO’s office, located a block from the White House, was officially opened on April 11 only months after the United States formally removed the anti-Iranian group from the US State Department’s list of terrorist organizations.

The MKO was taken off the State Department’s blacklist on September 28, 2012.

This was while the terrorist group has carried out numerous acts of violence against Iranian civilians and government officials.

Out of the 17,000 Iranians killed in terrorist attacks since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, some 12,000 of them have fallen victim to acts of terror carried out by the MKO.

The MKO fled to Iraq in 1986, where it received the support of Iraq’s executed dictator Saddam Hussein, and set up its camp near the Iranian border.

Members of the MKO terrorist group were later transferred from Camp New Iraq, formerly known as Camp Ashraf, which is situated about 120 kilometers (74 miles) west of the border with Iran, to Camp Liberty near Baghdad Airport.

Memoirs of Nasrin Ebrahimi, MKO ex- member_Part 4

Nasrin Ebrahimi is a former member of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization, who fled the group in 2006. She was one of the first survivors of the Cult-like MKO who dared to reveal the corruption of the leaders of the group. She was the first person to speak of the “Summit Operation” which was a cult jargon through which a large number of female members of the group became infertile by Hysterectomy surgery.

I liked music very much. I wished to listen to a piece by one of our famous singers like Ebi, Siavash or Darius…but in Camp Ashraf there was no access to radio or TV…

To our surprise, today the MKO rudely propagates the problems of satellite broadcasting in Iran while in the MKO we were not allowed to listen to music, let alone having a radio.

How can the group run propaganda criticizing the satellite issues in Iran? Of course this is why the MKO is called “Hypocrites” by the Iranian people!

Once, I saw a women listening to a walkman in a room labeled “Luggage Room”. She had been brought to the camp from Europe. The room was hardly ever trafficked by members so it was a silent place.

Immediately after she saw me, she hid the walkman. I called to her and said,” I won’t tell it to anyone.”

Then I asked her to lend her walkman to me for a while. She begged me not to let anyone know that she had kept her walkman. As it was usual members’ properties were confiscated before they entered Ashraf but this woman could manage to keep her walkman.

There was a problem with the walkman; it could be heard by a person next to you so it was dangerous. There was the risk that officials would learn about it.

That night I decided to stay up and listen to music but I had to wait until everyone would fall asleep. I waited until 1 am. When I made sure that everyone was asleep, I started listening to music under the blanket …suddenly the person next to me asked, “Are you listening to music?” I was so terrified that I couldn’t answer her. I turned it off… I couldn’t sleep all night long. The next morning I tried to be nice with the person who had found out that I was listening to music. I tried to ask her to forget the case. If she criticized me in the brainwashing sessions, I would be left into a big trouble; I had to explain why I had granted the right of listening to music to myself!

The self-criticism meetings were actually trials where you had no attorney, no right to defend yourself. You had to hear your comrades verbally abuse you. During the trial, there was no justice; nothing was fair… That was why in Ashraf the word Meeting was the equivalent of Stress and Fear. That was why, with my eyes I begged that girl who had found me listening to music, asking her not to tell it to anyone! [..]

After the separation from men, it was the first time you could see all female members in one place. Before that we were divided in different bases as you could not find out who was who! Once all women were settled in one single base, you could realize there were a lot of mothers whose children were separated from them by Rajavi , there were a lot of young girls who were kept in the MKO by Rajavi for their whole life so they had no idea of the outside world.

I remember a young girl asking me what the buildings in Iran were built of. I said, “I can’t understand what you mean?!” She said,” I mean the buildings there, are like Ashraf made of Conex (Bengals) or they are built of something else?”This was really surprising! It recalled you of the Seven Sleepers!

After some time of living in female base, I found out that those mothers, whose children were taken by Rajavi, were so nice with us – we were almost at the age of their separated children.

I didn’t know that in the MKO love was forbidden and no one was allowed to be kind with others. After a while I realized that they pretended to ignore us before the eyes of MKO officials, they never talked with us in front of them. Thus I got to know that kindness and love was forbidden in the MKO. Loving mothers were humiliated by the Rajavis!

Some of the mothers gave us gifts, they liked to hug and kiss us just like their own children but this was forbidden in the cult of Rajavi. The cult authorities said, ”once you recall your children and love other sisters in the memory of your children, you betray Rajavi”(!)
