Delegation asks A.I. to help rescue Rajavi cult hostages in Camp Ashraf

As you are well informed through many revelations which have been accomplished by many freed and rescued former members of pmoi (Rajavi’s cult) in recent months , since eight months ago many desperate elderly people who are the family of some of those captivated members Delegation asks A.I. to help rescue Rajavi cult hostages in Camp Ashraf inside the military garrison ,so called Ashraf base located in Diyali province ,the township of khalis, have been picketing to show their complaint and protest against the pmoi’s leadership and operatives who do not allow them to meet their loved ones in Ashraf which is one of the preliminary rights of any human being. Those mentioned families have been badly threated by the operatives of pmoi whom in many occasions have passed and violated the red line of human rights charter. I would like to draw your attention to some of those violations which are as follows:

The pmoi operatives have slandered and accused those honorable families ,who are mostly elderly people, by bringing some of their brainwashed members to swear and curse those families .

The high ranking members of this cult have attacked those families in the groups of 40-50 and in one occasion one of the woman commanders with the name of Hengameh Haji Hassan attacked those families with a sharp cold arms to harm them but fortunately her vicious and violent act was thwarted by Iraqi police who were present at the scene.
The pmoi leadership have forced and coerced some of their brainwashed members to participate in pmoi TV program so called Simayeh Azadi to swear and accuse those elderly people whom are their relatives. If those chosen miserable members refuse their leadership orders , they will be badly punished and pestered by the operatives of pmoi.

The tough security measures have been carried out inside Ashraf garrison by the direct order of pmoi leadership based in France specially after the escape of 6 members from Ashraf garrison. Two of those escapes have occurred recently , but two other escape attempts were failed and they got arrested and beaten up by the operatives of pmoi.

The people who succeeded to escape mentioned that the leadership of pmoi has intimidated all the members of being tortured and killed by those elderly families and Iraqi police if they try to escape from Ashraf garrison .

The pmoi leadership has mentioned and pointed out that the Iraqi government does not allow those families to meet with their loved ones but this statement is completely untruth and is a big lie which pmoi leadership by telling it wants to cover the real reason.

We are former member of pmoi and human rights activist urging and entreating all human rights organizations specially Red cross organization and Amnesty international to step forward and intervene in this humanitarian incident and force pmoi leadership to allow those families to see and meet their loved ones whom have been deprived of having any sentiment and love to their families because of tough and vicious cultic regulations and policy for a long period of time.

Dear Secretary of State,
I would like to introduce myself and give you a brief history of my experience with the Mojahedin Open letter to Secretary of State Mrs. Hilary Clinton From Mr. Ali Ghashghavi, Iran Green Association Khalq and their conduct in Iraq during the time I was a member. I have been treated with Dark Age kinds of torture and inhuman conduct on the direct order of the leadership of Mojahedin Khalq (MKO, MEK, Rajavi cult) only because I rejected the training and execution of terrorist activities. I was brought to their so called courts, forced to sign and confess to whatever they asked me and was sentenced to death. Subsequently I was sent to Abu Ghraib prison of Saddam along side other disaffected members of Mojahedin Khalq to serve long sentences. This is the time that Saddam was under pressure by the US government as well as much of the international community. With the fall of Saddam the benefactor of Massoud Rajavi leader of Mojahedin Khalq, I managed to free myself and now live in Germany.

I am writing this letter only to remind your good self of the situation of the people who are still trapped in this organisation. Now, years after the fall of Saddam, many of the captives inside this organisation are still trapped and have not achieved their basic human rights. The silence of the international community and the open hand given to this terrorist religious cult within the western lobbies including in your country US, has encouraged the group to increase its abuse of human rights and continue its spread of terrorism and hatred in free societies.

This way of life has been continuing for the last two decades in the closed camp in Iraq. A way of life which is more like an exercise of deliberate hostility toward the modern world and a way which is dreaming using the cult and cultish experiences to gain power over the civilised Iranian society. A dream obviously doomed to fail. After losing all credibility amongst Iranians over the last few decades, the cult is now trying to portray a picture of political opposition for itself by taking the internal critics as hostages.

After the September 11 disaster, the group celebrated the event and distributed candy etc in the presence of their leader Massoud Rajavi. They broadcasted every song and march they had for the celebration of the assassination of the American servicemen who they had killed in previous years in Iran. They clearly showed how distanced their way of thinking is compared with the normal social feelings of normal people in free societies.

Considering the backward mentality of terrorists who can even cheer for terrorist acts against innocent people, it seems that helping people to free themselves from Mojahedin Khalq terrorist organisation is a necessity.

Mojahedin try to hide their true face under the disguise of made up human rights names and groups so that they can stay in Iraq with the hope of one day starting their terror campaign again. They are also trying their best to come off the list of terrorists in US for the same purpose. The history of Mojahedin Khalq and the way they are treating the families of their victims inside their camp in Iraq clearly shows their vast differences with normal people. They are clearly demonstrating their true belief that “you are either with us or against us”
It is good to see that the State Department has included the name of National Council of Resistance (NCRI) in the list of terrorists as a another name for Mojahedin Khalq but we believe that there should be less tolerance of this organisation and certainly more help to free the ones who do not wish to continue working for this terrorist organisation.

The families of the victims of this terrorist cult, some of them have not seen their loved ones for the last two decades, are now picketing in front of the camp for the last few months demanding visiting rights to their loved ones. But the Mojahedin cult not only deny any proper response to their demands and questions, they are now clearly using the captive dissidents inside the camp as hostages to their goals.

Today everyone knows that the presence of Mojahedin Khalq and using them as a tool in political games not only has no benefit to the people of Iran[…]

Human Rights Abuse in the MEK

Letter of Miss Babaee Nezhad to the International and humanitarian organizations

In the name of God

I am Maryam Babaee Nezhad, daughter of Ja’far, 21 years old, living in Gazvin in Iran.
My mother was three months pregnant when my father who was a soldier in the Iran-Iraq war was captured by the Iraqis and became a prisoner of war. Many years past and I had no news from my father.

My grandfather Ali-Akbar became my guardian. After a while we were informed that my father has disappeared and following that we learned that he became a martyr.

For years whenever I wanted to talk to someone, I used to look at my father’s picture and I used to talk to him for hours. I had accepted the fact that I am an orphan.

Two years ago the Nejat Society in Iran contacted my grandfather and informed him that they have learned from the ex-members returning from Iran that his son (my father) is still alive and living in the Ashraf garrison the base of Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) in Iraq.

That day when my grandfather came home I noticed that his eyes are full of tears. I asked instantly: “Oh grandfather! For God sake, please tell me what has happened”. He hugged me and then said: “My dear daughter, your father is alive”.

When I heard this from my grandfather I felt like a fireball. All I remember is that I screamed and I started crying and fall into the arms of my grandfather.

Oh God what is it that I am hearing? Is it true? Is my father alive? And I used to repeat these words continuously.

I told my grandfather why he is siting and doing nothing. I ask him to go and see my father immediately. He sighed and said: “I wish he was still a prisoner of war in the hands of Iraqis. As they say he is now with the MKO and Saddam Hussein gave him to them and apparently he is not allowed to see his family. As it appears in their cult even passing letters or contacting the family or anyone outside Ashraf garrison is forbidden”.

My grandfather said that he would do his best to approach Ashraf garrison with the hope that they might let him to visit his son.

Since I learned that my father is still alive and I cannot even call him I have cried day and night. After long waiting I eventually came to the gate of the Ashraf garrison along with my grandfather 5 months ago.

For two months I cried on a closed gate day and night and I called for my father, but the commanders of the garrison refused to let me see my father for even one hour after 22 years. I got sore eyes and had to return to Iran to undergo an operation on my eye.

I could not tolerate being away from my father. I had no motivation to study and I was ever so anxious to see my father. I insisted my grandfather to take me back to Iraq with the hope that may be this time they let us see him.
When my grandfather saw that he cannot calm me he took me back to Iraq to the gate of Ashraf garrison. This time I saw that many other families are picketing there.

Ms. Sorayya Abdollahi embraced me like her own daughter and asked about my eye. I asked her if they have let the families to see their loved ones. She said with sorrow: “No my daughter. But during this time several members have managed to escape. I hope that your father be able to escape one day and cuddle her loved one”.

During this time in front of the gate of Ashraf garrison I called my father several times from the loudspeakers. I do not know if they allow my father to hear my grief.

The doctors say that if I keep crying my other eye would be infected too and that is the case at the present time. Now that Massoud Rajavi (leader of MKO cult) does not allow me to see my father I prefer to go blind and not see anything at all. A girl in my age needs a father but my father is seized by a cult.

I call upon all international organizations and humanitarian activists in Europe and in America. Come and see how Rajavi is playing with the emotions and destiny of a 22 years old girl whose wish is just to see her father.

I call upon all those who claim they fight for human rights and yet support Rajavi and his cult. Come and see how this group is dealing with its own members and their families.

I long for my father. Who should I say this? Mr. Ban Ki-moon? Mr. Obama? The Iraqi authorities? The Iranian authorities? Who?

With all respect to you and your honorable colleagues and members of UNAMI, we, the former members and critics of pmoi (aka Rajavi’s Cult, MKO, NCR, NLA) would like to draw your attention to the following humanitarian issues which are pretty important :

As you are well informed that since eight months ago many families who have loved ones in Ashraf Camp, have been picketing outside of this notorious garrison hoping to see their relatives . Their just request has been denied and ignored by the pmoi’s proxy and operatives and in some occasions they have been attacked and insulted by some of the high ranking members of this cult.

Pmoi’s operatives based in Ashraf garrison who are receiving their orders to suppress those families directly from the cult’s headquarter in France have forced and coerced some of their members to participate the cult’s TV program so called ,Simayeh Azadi, to insult those families despite of their will . Those members have been intimidated that if they meet with those families , they will be arrested and tortured by Iraqi police and will be extradited to Iran to be executed, or will be killed and tortured by those families!!

The pmoi operatives have called those families as agents of Iran’s intelligence service to intimidate their members not to visit them ,who are a group of elderly parents wishing to see their son, daughter or etc after many years.

The pmoi operatives pretend that the Iraqi government does not allow them to visit their relatives , but that is a big lie which pmoi operatives utilize to cover up the real reasons.The pmoi operatives have utilized brainwashing and indoctrination methods for many years to separate their members from the real things which exist outside that garrison ,like sentiment and love which are considered as deadly sin in pmoi.

We , the former members of this organization urge you to step forward and help those desperate families to visit their loved ones .

Respectfully, we would like to acknowledge that the Iranian Pen Club is consisted of those ex-members of the MKO who managed to free themselves from the mental and even physical barriers of the Organisation. The main object of the Association is of course to try to help the previous comrades in such way that they be able to free themselves too and start a decent normal life again along with their families and beloved ones.

It has been nearly eight months that elderly parents with broken hearts and tearful eyes are looking forward to meet with their children in front of Camp Ashraf have been on sitting that the MKO leaders allow them access to their children inside the camp. but the pmoi’s operatives and officials have prevented them of having any contact with their loved ones since their arrival, and pmoi’s officials have insulted those families as well as labeling them as Iranian intelligence service agents and they have denied their family connection with their loved ones in Ashraf garrison.

According to all international laws and norms it is acceptable for immediate families to visit their loved ones in any circumstances. But as you know, the Mojahedin Khalq obey only their own internal laws, which are different from the rest of the world.

According to articles 25 and 26 of the fourth convention of Geneva which had enabled the MKO’s presence in Iraq, the members could freely have contact with their families. But unfortunately, both the members and their worried and suffering families have been deprived from such benefits.

Unfortunately, the leadership of the Mojahedin Khalq cult, in an attempt to rid itself of any legal or social responsibility, is now blaming the Government of Iraq for not allowing the families of victims confined in Ashraf Garison to have access to them. This is the big lie and the Government of Iraq and the Iraqi Human Rights Ministry have been doing their utmost to facilitate this, which is exactly the opposite of what the Mojahedin Khalq leaders say and do. The Mojahedin Khalq leaders, when they see themselves under pressure by the public and the media, start accusing the families of victims to be agents of the Intelligence Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Also the leaders of this cult , Massoud and Maryam Rajavi , have prepared a formal list which includes names of some members of this cult whom has forcibly declared that they do not want to see their relatives and families by no means. Obviously no common sense believe such a thing and by these kind of methods we find out more about their profound Stalinist thoughts.

Documents and evidence of the violent history of abuse of human rights by the cult of Rajavi (Mojahedin Khalq) clearly shows that during the past two decades, the leaders of the cult have forbidden any kind of affection or love between family members and have considered it as a sin and a punishable crime. The cult members are expected to only show affection and love to the leader solely.

Rajavi, using the opportunity provided by the fallen dictator of Iraq, Saddam Hussein, has used the past two decades to create an atmosphere inside camp New Iraq (formerly Ashraf) in which any marriage, friendship, writing letters, exchanging photos, using telephone, meeting and chatting or any relation between parents and children or between siblings or other relatives has been forbidden and even thinking about it would have resulted in severe, violent punishment and suppression. Seven years ago, Saddam Hussein and his government was toppled , but even after the downfall of Saddam Hussein ,PMOI still act like before and there has not been any breakthrough in pmoi’s policy regarding separation of their members.

We ask you, the governments of Iraq, the US and European governments to become more active concerning the situation of the people trapped in Camp Ashraf by the Mojahedin Khalq leaders, to take more responsibility and act to secure the minimum of human rights, including the right of family visits, right to access to news and media and the right of choosing their future.

As you know, taking twofold and selective approaches in facing important international plights such as terrorism and fighting against it would result in the increase of such measures. There are many terrorist groups in your State Department’s list of foreign terrorist organizations (FTO). Based on US domestic laws any assistance and support to these groups is prosecutable and deserves punishment. On the other hand, these domestic laws have also been confirmed and reflected in international scene by some Resolutions including: 1373 (2001), 1456 (2003) and 1335 (2004) of the United Nations Security Council. These resolutions are all related to the existent threats against peace and international security posed by terrorism phenomenon.

Your Excellency,
Undoubtedly you would acknowledge that issuing permission for holding rally to the National Council of Resistance which is included in your FTO list, is the violation of international laws as well as US domestic laws. This is while your country has been the forerunner in the global fight against terrorism. The occurrence of such events in the United State’s governing system and giving permission by your Department to a terrorist organization which has murdered more than 12000 Iranians and thousands of foreign civilians including seven American military councilors to hold gatherings, can not be justifiable and defendable.

National Council of Resistance which is a terrorist organization operates under various titles including:

Mojahedin-e-Khalq (MEK)
People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI)
National Liberation Army of Iran (NLA)
Muslim Iranian Students’ Society
Organization of the People’s Holy Warriors of Iran
National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)

This organization is now in US FTO list.

Based on the Human Rights Watch report of May 2005 and the report presented by National Defense Research Institute (RAND) in 2009, Mojahedin-e Khalq organization is a terrorist organization enjoying a cultic nature. US Department of State has also referred to the terrorist operations and international crimes of this organization including arms transactions and the cooperation of MKO with Saddam regime for the suppression of Iraqi Shiites and Kurds in 1991 in its August 2010 FTO list report. In one part of this report about the MKO’s terrorist attacks against American nationals we read:

The MKO exploded time bombs at more than a dozen sites throughout Tehran in 1972, including the Iran-American Society, the U.S. information office, and the offices of Pepsi Cola and General Motors. From 1972-75, the Mojahedin continued their campaign of bombings, damaging such targets as the offices of Pan-American Airlines, Shell Oil Company, and British organizations. They also attacked police posts and prisons. In 1974, MKO exploded the offices of some American companies. In 1975 Mojahedin-e Khalq assassinated two military officers of the United States of America. It staged terrorist attacks inside Iran and killed another US military personnel working on defense projects in Tehran in 1979.

We, the members of Justice Supporters Association comprising the families of terror victims of Iran would like to ask you, considering the background of this organization, how could it receive permission for holding a rally? Don’t you consider this measure taken by your Department as an act denying the rights of victims of this organization and degrading the international efforts for fighting against terrorism?

We, the members of Justice Supporters Association, compromising the families of 16000 terrorism victims of Iran, once more condemning the September 11 attacks and expressing our sympathy with the victims’ families, believe that terrorism is an ominous phenomenon which revealed its cruel nature more than ever in 2001 attacks.

The happiness of terrorist organizations across the globe following this heart-breaking event showed that the global community is encountering interacted and dangerous organizations which do not follow any role in murder and violence, these organizations kill innocent people throughout the world from the biggest cities of the United States to the small villages of the Middle East.

One of these organizations is the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization which celebrated after the September 11 attacks due to its Marxist-Leninist ideologies. Now the question is that, why the leaders of terrorist organizations like MKO and Al-Qaeda which have bee designated as cult-like terrorist organizations, are not arrested and tried.

Mojahedin-e Khalq terrorist organization, which has murdered more than 12000 civilians in Iran and cooperated in the suppression of Kurds and Shiites in Iraq, has perpetrated various crimes including kidnapping, highjacking, armed robbery, however, not any step has been taken by international societies for its eradication.

We, the families of terror victims and members of the Justice Supporters Association who have lost our dearest ones by MKO attack, call for the arrest and trial of the leaders of this terrorist organization. We would like to witness a day in which no one grieves for his beloved ones. This is not possible unless an international effort and cooperation of non-governmental organizations comprised of terror victims’ families of the world.

You may be aware that Camp Ashraf in Iraq is the main base of Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO). This group has been designated as a terrorist destructive cult by the United States which is protecting it and by Iraq which is hosting it.

At the present time more than 3000 individuals are living in this camp under the cultic training of Massoud Rajavi (leader of MKO) and tough cultic regulations are imposed on them. These people do not have any right to demand contact with the outside world and their families. They live in a totally isolated atmosphere. The way that the leaders of the cult rule their followers is in such a manner that it is a clear example of violating their most basic human rights and an example of new slavery in our era.

Since the inhabitants of the camp have been away from the free world for many years and they are constantly under the influence of the leaders, they are not in a normal physical and mental condition. The phobic fear of the outside world has been planted inside the minds of these victims in such way that they can no longer think or act freely and they have become like robots which carry out the demands of the leaders without thinking.

Since the overthrow of Saddam Hussein in Iraq until now, roughly one thousand members of the MKO have managed to leave the cult at different times. Most of these persons have reported dreadful incidents of systematic brainwashing, solitary confinement, torture, and even murder inside Camp Ashraf. These reports and witness statements have been registered in the Iraqi Judiciary System. Some international human rights organizations have approved these reports.
It is now more than six months that a great number of families of the captive members inside Camp Ashraf have been picketing outside the main gate of the cultic camp under very challenging circumstances. They have announced that they will not leave the place unless they see their beloved ones. The leaders of the cult of course have denied their just demand and in reaction they have mobilized their psychologically manipulated victims to harass the families. Sahar Family Foundation is writing this letter on behalf of these families.

Is it not necessary in such circumstances to send a Special Rapporteur from the United Nations to visit the camp along with the former members who are familiar with the internal situation of the camp, as well as the families of present members? Most certainly the leaders of the cult would not accept such a demand. In this case doesn’t the UN and the UN Security Council possess tools to force the MKO to comply with this demand? In view of the suffering families, the minimum that the Human Rights Commission of the UN can do is to bring up this issue and if the leaders of the cult did not accept such an inspection, to base its report on what the former members have to say from their long experience (some even from their childhood) with the group.

The reports issued by the US Department of State since 1994 up to the present time (2010) and their contents as well as the 2009 report issued by the RAND institute about the MKO in Iraq and the 2005 report of Human Rights Watch about the violation of human rights inside the cult and the comments given by the Prime Minister and the President of Iraq on several occasions as well as the Iraq security authorities’ comments and the continuous confession of the MKO leaders about violation of human rights are enough to condemn the leaders even without trial. If not, at least these should be basis enough for the UN to instigate an investigations into the human rights violations and send a Special Rapporteur to visit this isolated, closed and secretive camp and issue a report. Surely if the leaders of the MKO were honest they would not prevent a mother visiting her son and if the followers have divorced their spouses and their children and the normal life willingly, there is no need to hide things and disconnecting the members from the outside world.

All that the suffering families wish to be assured of is the mental and physical health of their relatives inside the camp as it is the most basic right of an individual to enjoy every Article of the UN Declaration of Human Rights. Now, regardless of any political interests, the systematic violation of such rights cannot be acceptable and cannot be ignored. The families cannot help but blame the UN if it turns its face in a different direction and does not fulfill its duties. If the UN in Iraq does not meet these requests for any reason it should be held responsible for misconduct in these matters. One can say that the UN could do something but they did not.
The suffering families picketing outside Camp Ashraf in Iraq are looking forward for your reply and your action.

4. The resolution passed by the Iraqi administration in its 27th session dated 17 June 2008 (no. 216) about the MKO being a terrorist cult and its illegal presence in Iraq. This resolution emphasized that the MKO base most be dismantled and their forces should leave Iraq.

Ms. Abdullahi returns to the families gathering in front of Ashraf garrison

Ms. Abdullahi who went into coma for heart failure and high hypertension and was hospitalized on Wednesday 4 Aug 2010 in Baghdad after 6 months of picketing in front of the base of Rajavi cult in Iraq returned back to the gathering of the families after being relatively well again.

The families do their activities after breaking fast in the evening until the noon next day in several groups regarding Ramadan. They use loudspeakers to give their massages to their seized relatives only a few hundred meters away and reveal the true nature of those deceiving them.

The leaders of the cult on the other hand use powerful loudspeakers inside the garrison against the voice of the families and make loud noises to counter their activities. Practically a sound war goes on at nights on the gate of Ashraf.

The families learned about Ms. Batul Soltani being attacked by Rajavi’s thugs in Europe and showed their hatred towards this action and condemned it on their loudspeakers.

The news of MKO (Rajavi cult) being designated once again as a foreign terrorist organization by the US State Department was also announces by the loudspeakers for the captured followers inside Ashraf garrison.

Ms. Abdullahi responded to the kind massage of the families from the northern province of Gilan in Iran who had asked about her health. The text of the response is as follows.

Salutes and Praises

I wish to express my gratefulness to all those in the province of Gilan who attended the Nejat Society and asked about my health and also all those inside and outside Iran who called and made me ever so pleased. I managed to gain my health relatively after your praying and I returned to the gathering of the families outside Ashraf garrison.

I consider myself a minor member of the families who are missing their loved ones and find myself serving for their cause and I would do so until we reach our goal.

Do we the families after nearly 7 months of picketing want anything but to see our relatives outside the garrison without the presence of the cult officials? What are they afraid of? Perhaps they are afraid that if they let the members out of the garrison to visit their relatives they might never go back there again.

But let me reveal a fact based on the experiences the families and I had during this period and share it with those families who have not been here yet.

My family and I did not know the MKO at all. My son was seeking a job and of course a better life in Europe and on his way in Turkey he was trapped by the cult and after 5 years I learned that he is defined in Iraq and inside the MKO base.

When I came here I was only after a simple visit with my son but when I saw the maltreatment of the cult against the families and myself and I talked to those members who had managed to escape the cult, I realized that the Rajavi cult has brainwashed our children and trained them to be just like gladiators who would burn themselves to free Maryam Rajavi from prison to enable her to continue with her carnivals and parities in Paris. They want our children just to fulfill Rajvi’s desires and kill until they get killed. But we the families would never let such a bitter ending occur once again to our children.

The outcome of our children being trained by the Rajavi cult in Ashraf garrison is that they call their families with all sorts of names and insult their old parents who have come from very long distances just to see their offspring.

Our beloved children have been trapped unintentionally by a devil who is aiming to destroy them. Therefore we must strive to save their sole and their body by sacrificing whatever necessary.

We are witnessing that our children are living under very tight securing regulations and both physically and psychologically do not have the means of escaping from Ashraf garrison.

The officials of the cult try not to let our voice reach our children by installing very powerful loudspeakers. Our first hope is of course God.

We have given confidence to our children that one day they would be freed and soon we would create such a situation that they will be able to come out of Ashraf and visit us freely.

Letter of Ms. Abdullahi to the US Secretary of States

How is it that you recognize the MKO as a terrorist group but at the same time you support it to keep our children as gladiators in slavery?

(No wages! No spouses! No family! No outside contact! No readings! No thinking! No future! No . . . ! Just worshiping Rajavi, being terrorists, and killing until being killed)

Ms. Sorayya Abdullahi has written a letter to the US Secretary of States on behalf of the families picketing in front of Ashraf cultic garrison in Iraq which is seen below. It is worth mentioning that hundreds of family members of the victims seized inside Rajavi cult (Mojahedin-e Kahlq Organization – MKO) in Iraq have been picketing outside Ashraf garrison the base of this cult in Iraq for about six months and demanding visiting their relatives, but the MKO is still refusing to fulfill their demands. The physical and psychological pressure on these families caused by long time demonstration has led to Ms. Abdullahi and some others to be hospitalized in Baghdad.

I have learned that the Mojahedin-e Kahlq Organization (MKO- Rajavi cult) has once again been designated as a foreign terrorist organization (FTO) by the US State Department. We are of course pleased that the United States government recognizes the group as a terrorist cult. But this letter is about the rights of the families of the members of the cult in Ashraf garrison the base of the MKO in Iraq. I am a mother and my son has been seized inside the garrison for many years. I am writing this letter from the hospital and I am not in a healthy condition at all.

It is now round 6 months that I am picketing along some other families outside the main gate of Ashraf garrison. Not only the leaders of the cult have not given a positive answer to us, but also they have continuously intimidated and insulted us in order to keep us away from our relatives. Isn’t it our right to be able to visit our loved ones and freely talk to them while they are just a few hundred meters away?

The Iraqi government wished to dismantle the garrison and put the leaders of the cult on trial for their crimes against the Iraqi people and free the victims. Apparently they cannot execute their official decision since the influence of dominating powers in Iraq would not let them do so. Would you consider this a just policy that on one hand you designate the MKO as a terrorist group and on the other hand use your influence to support them and do not let the families reach their just and natural demands?

The UNHCR, the ICRC, the AI, the HRW, the Iraqi officials and the ministry of human rights of this country, and many lawyers and politicians have approved the legitimacy of our demand and believe that the leaders of the MKO must be under pressure to accept the wish of the families.

Even well-known international institutes such as the American RAND and the British Chatham House are now criticizing US the support for the Rajavi terrorist cult and are disturbed by this support. We do not need or ask for the support of the US, but if your government stop backing the group which you designate as terrorists, this would be a great help to us to reach our just demands to see our loved ones.

There are some views indications that some war mongering cliques who have a great influence on US policy wish to save the cultic structure of the MKO with the hope that one day maybe they can be used against the Islamic Republic of Iran the same way that Saddam Hussein did. Is this true? If not how would you justify the double standard policy of US administration against this terrorist group?

I, as well as the suffering mothers and families who have gathered outside Ashraf garrison despite the high temperature and hard living, would like to have a clear answer from you. Please do not respond to us saying that this is not related to your government since it is clear for all of us and even for the international officials in Baghdad that the American forces and the American influence in Iraq is the only obstacle against to freely visiting our relatives and I write this letter on their recommendation and I ask for answer.

Apparently some currents among US policy makers consider our children as free and ready to use terrorists who must go to kill until they are killed. How do you justify this undue policy for your people and for the people of the world? It seems that we have no choice but to either continue the present sufferings and go to hospital one by one or reach to our right and see our beloved ones.

About Ms. Abdullahi and her son:
Ms. Sorayya Abudllahi Mirzanaqi the daughter of Gholam-Reza was born in 1961 and lives in the city of Ardabil in the north west of Iran. She has two daughters and one son. His son named Amir-Aslan Hassanzadeh the son of Manuchehr was born in 1982. He left Iran to Turkey in June 2002 along with his friend Mahmoud Akbari to find a job and of course a better life in Germany.

After 10 days Amir called his mother and said that he is in a hotel in Ankara and has found a man called Ali Ankaraii and he is supposed to take them to Germany.

Ali Ankaraii is a known name for all trapped in the Rajavi cult in Turkey. He was the MKO contact man in Turkey and of course he never used to reveal his true identity and the organization he was working for to his victims. He managed to send many individuals to Iraq through Jordan deceiving them for a job and a better life in Europe.

Ali Ankaraii called Amir’s mother and asked her several thousand dollars but Ms. Abdullahi could only manage to send 1700 USD to Ali’s bank account.

Finally Amir told her mother that she could ring him after two weeks and gave her a telephone number in Germany. Ms. Abdullahi tried several times to call the given number but did not succeed and could never find a trace of her son.

Round 5 years after Amir had been disappeared one day Mahmoud Akbari, Amir’s friend, went to Ms. Abdullahi’s house. She was surprised to see him there and asked him what happened in Germany and asked him after Amir. Mahmoud answered that they did not go to Germany but to Ashraf garrison the base of the MKO in Iraq. He then explained that he left the MKO when the Americans invaded Iraq and came to Iran with the help of the Red Cross. He also said that he asked Amir to go along with him but Amir said that if he leaves the MKO he would have no choice but to go to Iran where he would definitely be executed.
